no

Multiple instances of cgminer needed then?

Hi,

Quick question. Is it possible to set a different gpu thread value for each card in the set up?

For instance I've been trying to mine with 1x7970 and 2x7950's in the same system.

I tried -g 2,1 but cgminer did not seem to like this. Do I have to run with multiple instances to achieve this?

Hey I was wondering if someone could show me an image showing a mining rig with one of these PCI-e extenders installed?

Just want to see how its all set up to give improved cooling. Having trouble visualizing it.

Also, Can I ask what the 'depth' value is?

Its all new to me.

Thanks!

I'd be interested in the trade bot based on this. Free or not Smiley

Will there be a time when you will accept litecoin as payment/topup for these cards?

Can't wait to hear what hashing speed and cost is of these babies.

Nice work!

A magical 60 LTC just arrived in my wallet. I'm guessing it was from Coinotron.

Thanks and look forward to your return!
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hd7970 over 700khs with reaper guide ! on: March 03, 2013, 01:29:06 PM
I can get 760-800 Kh/s using my 5970 with cgminer -scrypt. Costs a lot less than a 7970 too.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - NEW !!! - NovaCoin pool on: February 15, 2013, 03:03:21 PM
this attack is stupid, COINOTRON is neutral, great is supporting every altcoin, and the only one in most cases.
It has a superb support and high quality service. its NOT pushing or promoting or favorizing novacoin in any way. coinotron also quickly adapted trc and frc. you are hurting safety and diversification of all coins by atacking such a great part of our comunity as coinotron. ddos nvc checkpoint nodes or smth but leave coinotron alone.

+1

So BTC-e is back up. Says something about they destroyed a bunch of novacoins.

So what? I just want to mine LTC on a decent pool again!

Any news on when coinotron will be back up?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - NEW !!! BTC and LTC Stratum support on: February 12, 2013, 07:54:34 PM
I'm getting the 2% stales with cgminer and stratum. How do you use stratum with Reaper v13? I couldn't find any information on it...

Hope it gets fixed soon. 2.10.5 doesn't seem to make any difference to me.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your litecoin hash rate on: February 07, 2013, 01:50:47 PM
~1900Kh/s on 4xHD6950's and the odd cpu.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining speeds of cards for LTC ? on: February 04, 2013, 04:42:27 PM
Well the 5570  isn't shown on the mining comparison list yet https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison

But looking at the chart I'd take a guess and say you'd get about 100kh/s. (probably lower)

I've just had a look on ebay.co.uk and there are used 5570's for £40 delivered.

You'd have to get 3/4 of the them to match a 6950 and that will have set you back £120 at least...already.

I guess buying many lower powered cards would give you more redundancy, but my choice is still the 6950.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining speeds of cards for LTC ? on: February 04, 2013, 02:23:19 PM
Yeah sure i'll run some tests on my 5450 tonight for you no worries.... with the 5750... looking on this comparison chart
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison
you should be able to get between 60-100Mhash on Bitcoin mining.... I would expect with the right settings you should get between 60-100Khash for LTC mining... I found this thread particulary helpful for LTC mining https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117221.0;all

also what miner are u using?? GUIMiner? cgminer? reaper miner?

Personally I started on GUIMiner as it is nice and simple and easy to use for setting up BTC mining... but have since switched to cgminer as the actual miner is more diverse and stable and gets me a better hashrate overall for my 7970.  Also the backup pools is managed more to my liking as when my main pool say falls over, only then does it kick in on the backup pool, but u can vary this in the settings....

ah, hmm any "cheap" or well "cost effective" card for mining LTC ? as I'm looking to build a small rig to mine them efficiently and my current card is not efficient at all :/

ATI HD6950 is the most cost effective card IMO. (400-500KH/sec)  You can pick them up used on ebay for ~£120 (in the UK)

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poor Radeon HD6950 Litecoin mining performance, need help. on: December 19, 2012, 06:33:11 PM
With the shaders unlocked (on one card at least) and both cards OC'd to 900/1300. I'm now pulling 900kh/s.

Sweet.

I love happy endings. Grin
