81  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: November 19, 2017, 06:58:17 AM
Just imagine. If ALL OF US would be rich, that means we would live our lives out from dividends, or any passive income of at least $1k a month. Then it would be jawesome, right ? Well, but then I do have a question.
WHO on this Earth would bake the bread for ALL OF US ?
Robots, you might say?
OK, nice idea.
But then, WHO on Earth would maintenance these robots ?
Another robots ?
I don't think so.
Even if so, even if there would be a Skynet of robots, who would not just bake the bread, but also harvest the grains, transport it, deliver to our doors. What then ?
We could eat for free, as much as you want?
Cool, but what about overweight then.
Doctor? But hey wait, NO ONE on this Earth work, so we have no doctors.
OK, we have Doctor Robots.
Who would teach our kids? Robots! Who would change the diapres? Robot!
Even if humans would master all this, we would need to have all the knowledge to teach our robots to work for us. To be slaves for us. (no minds, just pure robotic hands/arms and so on, Tesla's and autopilots)
But even then, there is one huge problem.
I do not want to touch any country, or race, or group of people, but imagine, if you put infinite amount of resources to any kind of animal (including humans), they would reproduce themselves to infinite. Because they simply can. Because parents do not need to parent their kids anymore, because we have robots! So we would need a limit of reproducing, no right to reproduce as much as you can handle (infinite resources), because we would simple have like 50-100billion people on this planet, and there would be no robots who could grow so much grains to bake bread. (perhaps hyper dense pills could be the away).
So, back to the original question, why do people believe, they all can be rich ?
It was, is, and will be, ALWAYS about that who is going to earn more, not enough, but more than the others.
Why?
If there is only one mansion on the Bahamas, which is large enough, sunny enough, sexy enough, there is no freaking way, ALL OF US could buy it. Just one. 1. One. And if only 10 buyers come with their million, to who would seller sell this mansion to? First ? But second also have million and ALL OF US want to be rich (own that one mansion). So second would have to offer 2 million, right?
Wrong.
No one would want to sell such mansion in the first place, as he is already rich. We all are.

This is one of the great unknowns, in order for the balance of system of the universe to be obtain, one must be good and must be bad. Like the process of yin and yang, black or white and good and bad. You're referring to the general Idea and the sad part is that people or this society won't function that way. I don't know what is the force that is binding humans why there must be rich or poor but the balance I think will collapse if that happened. We can't really have it all and sad to say. Humans can't be just like that. We want but can't. Embarrassed
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoinconomics 101 on: November 19, 2017, 04:49:59 AM
Hi!

I have written my two cents on this here.

I am trying to describe the Bitcoinconomics for dummies https://tinybowl.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/making-sense-of-cryptocurrencies.html and would appreciate any feedback.

Note: This is a blogger blog with one entry and does not have adds nor makes money, this is not spam.

Nice summarization of answering the main questions about cryptocurrencies, I miss these kind of stuff, you should be doing a lot of than and then publish a webpage.
I just noticed that if it's not just about Bitcoin then you should name it "Cryptonomics"

83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: November 19, 2017, 03:58:35 AM
Anyone else super impressed with the Twolves so far?  Its been so long since they have been anything close to decent(or make the playoffs). I don't want to get to hyped up yet because a lot could happen.  They are a super young team with tons of talent, in 3-5 years if the team holds onto who they have I could see them being the "next big" team.

One of the healthiest thread here. It seems like almost everyone loves basketball, by the way, wolves have pretty decent starting 5, and as we can see on the early stats of 2018 season,(based on their wins so far. Teams (especially those team that didn't do well last season have Improved a lot) the cavaliers is falling apart and GS i think ain't the most offensive team now. I'm hoping that Kwhi will get back to business to get the spurs up again in the Finals (keep hanging on Spurs). Still we got a long way to go to know who will be the champions, but Im hoping that won't be GS Tongue

I know this doesn't have too much to do with the current NBA season, but I want your opinion, I see so much talk regarding who is the GOAT of all time.  Now me personally I think MJ is easily the best of all time and its not even close.

People actually put Kobe on this list, I think Kobe is easily the most overrated player of all time.  I would probably put him in my top 50, but he is probably right around 50.

Thoughts on this anyone?

Im not interested in that topic honestly. The debate will never end because there is "love" "respect" and "hate".

Michael Jordan really a great player but he build his own legacy. Same with Kobe Bryant, Lebron James or who else will be put as candidate for Greatest Player of All-Time. We can't say who is the greatest as all preferred players have different nature around when they played. So I don't see why they are being compared.

yes, there are so many strong players who have played in different ages,
in a hypothetical top ten (in random order) I choose these epic players:
Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan.
Maybe my favorite is Michael Jordan

The GOAT (MICHAEL 23) is the only basketball player that can do poetry in motion in my opinion, He moves like no one else have done in the game (Kobe bryant is the closest). Lebron James have a very high basketball Iq and relies on herculean strength but still the instinct to win the game is still lacking. The history have monsters like chamberlain magic and kareem. Imagine if they are training in the modern era, those talents can destroy dreams of other players.
Still
Micheal Air Jordan is the best too In my Opinion.

84  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: November 19, 2017, 03:08:11 AM
I think the thing is people don't treat trading like a job.  They don't put in 6-8 hours a day researching and learning.  Trying out new things.  They just want to do it along with their job and this is what makes it hard for a lot of people in my opinion.  If people looked at it like a job then it'd help a lot more people get into it easier.

Man, trading will have you a taste of happiness and can bring you in tears in seconds, and yes, This will take a lot of time. I'm not a trader, but I'm trying to trade, and sometimes I'm spending all days just to beat the market, and sometimes I don't focus much enough and ending up losing, trading crypto is one of the quickest way to earn if you have the experience and knowledge and of course discipline. Iwill be mastering this craft after I finished this my course in engineering.
85  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: November 19, 2017, 02:43:05 AM
i am starting marketing for my product . i want to know about internet marketing.is true internet marketing = making money How to succeed in internet marketing?
Internet marketing, or online marketing can also be broken down into more specialized areas such as Web marketing, email marketing and social media marketing:
Web marketing includes e-commerce Web sites, affiliate marketing Web sites, promotional or informative Web sites, online advertising on search engines, and organic search engine results via search engine optimization / SEO.
Email marketing involves both advertising and promotional marketing efforts via e-mail messages to current and prospective customers.
Social media marketing involves both advertising and marketing (including viral marketing) efforts via social networking sites like Facebook, Blog, YouTube, and others...

How to succeed in internet marketing?
There are some skills for most internet marketing, maybe may include the following:

Publishing to your blog
Creating a follow up system
Writing special reports
Learning core business skills
Creating your own product
Researching your target market
Improving your search engine positioning
Identifying important keywords
Doing things to automate routine tasks

All of the above ways, a very important thing to do. It’s just that most of theys don’t do them and just ignore it.
Good read, But I think Internet marketing is too broad, there are a lot of ways on how to succeed on that and sometimes even if you are following your set of routine or system on how to be successful, it's not just enough. Social media's nowadays are powerful in internet marketing, and their fee in advertising is pretty decent too. The hard part is to know what people want and what product or service is unique enough to be able to run in the long term. Most business fail in just a year or two. Mathematical economics will help too in studies. This is an online world make your product promising and believable, always protect the trust of people because this will mainly the foundation online. If you are trusted enough then you will grow.
86  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: November 19, 2017, 12:57:42 AM
Bitcoin is a good investment now because i think its just getting started, just think about it, Bitcoin is not truly accepted world wide and tons of government and countries are still skeptical in using it but what if the world accepts it and starts using it, just imagine how much will be the Bitcoin's value.

It's not getting started "the price is just getting started".
If someone is thinking that BTC is a good investment because it is just getting started "WEll the price might go down too so there are a lot of risks"
It is a good investment because of the technology behind, not just getting started, or its price or its market. If someone can break its security everyone will be selling their BTC. THe technology is what's driving its price and one of the main reason why its is a good investment "Its Blockchain".
87  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: November 19, 2017, 12:38:56 AM
I have been making an analysis about how people is getting real rich thanks to the increse of BTC and it is amazing to think that people are getting real rich, lets hope and this will continue so the people that holds very little BTC also gets rich.

This is the analisis I made:

On February 1st 2015 you will need 4,219 BTC to have 1 million USD, now that is worth: 10,125,600 usd

On Febraury 1st 2016 you will need 2,681 BTC to have 1 million USD, now that is worth: 6,434,400 usd

On February 1st 2017 you will need 992 BTC to have 1 million USD, now that is worth: 2,380,800 usd

Today you need 404 BTC to have 1 million USD ( the person who has now 404 BTC it is millionaire, and in Feb 2015 just had with the same 404 BTC 95,757 USD

That is amazing.

I wonder what are the new rich people doing right know? have they realised that they are rich yet.

Great numbers. But the miners have more BTC than them.
This is what makes this Crypto little scary too, When people have a thousand BTC on them and they will sell their coins and then the price goes down. Some are controlling the market too and abusing their power because they have so much BTC they can sell at high and then bought back at low price.
They have realized that they are rich but that does not matter, remember their knowledge up to this point not just the BTC, they are knowledgeable enough to start an ICO or trade or mine. Some are big businessmen now.
AnD lastly it is said that satoshi have 1 million BTC, imagine in 8K dollars price, He has 8 Billion dollars now, enough to sustain a lifetime of a person up to 10 generation. Unfair tho'
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin ever be safe for any investment ? on: November 18, 2017, 07:24:28 PM
At present situation government actually not so much concern about such kind of currency for that  reason people are not so much interested for using this currency. it is now use as a electronic currency though computerized system.
in terms of purchase and sales bit coin holder's are safe but the  lack of proper monitoring system by implementing different protocols client are demotivated for using this currency on investment projects.Every country's government should established a policy for securing those client who are holder of bitcoin like an cash or deposit account holders and this types of policy help to motivated bitcoin holders for investing different sector for establishing new entrepreneur in order to development of economical condition.

It's not safe as to its status now because we have no clear rules (or some country) have no clear regulation on cryptocurrencies and your country might ban Bitcoin someday.
The dangerous part is that there is no safe price and if some really big investor dump BTC then the price will be dump causing a huge disruption on prices and some lost of wealth (not good for the stability of price and usage in shopping). If the world finance can control the price of Bitcoin and when someone dump a coin the price won't change that easily then it will be good to be an investment especially when Japan followed by many countries used it as a reserve.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Ban Bitcoin mining ??? on: November 18, 2017, 07:04:16 PM
Hi,

China has already banned ICOs and is shutting down Bitcoin exchanges. What would happen if they also banned crypto mining?

Overall nothing.
A decrease in hashrate, slower blocks till the next difficulty adjustment and then everything back to normal while miners will probably relocate to other countries.

Once this is over I will open the third beer since we will be finally done with china banning bitcoin/ico/mining and there is nothing left for them to ban.

I almost fell off the chair laughing bro haha.
Well and then China will do their own cryptocurrency? Aren't they are being too much because they are neglecting the technology and then using it their own, if Satoshi is alive and make the blockchain as a patent, china won't have a chance in crypto, and they will be using their own traditional money till year 3000.
 Grin

They're just good at taking properties that not their own and restricting things that agaist their govenment. Bad.
90  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: November 18, 2017, 03:14:36 AM
i think it is in the eye of the beholder...the one who seeks easy and fast profit, the price does of course matter, for the one who tries to make an investment of the litle they have to hopefuly gain a couple bucks more it also does. But, if your prespective is that, this coin is the future of economics and worldtrade, that we are witnesing the beginning of a new base of economy and trade, then the current price is of no importance. So, in practicality, it does matter, 'cause people try to profit from it selling and buy, investing and mining. On the theoretical and philosofical point of view, it is just smth to study, maybe to get prepeared for.

True, without these prices, these guys will not even make a comment here, it's all about money and will always will be.
Some people, including me viewed bitcoin as a form of investment and will be holding it like a treasure. The price have got up and will got up more in the next few months, I dont how long are we going to make this run but the money behind is what drove those investors, without this value, BTC will be just a name.
91  Economy / Economics / Re: Electronic Money vs. Physical Money on: November 18, 2017, 01:52:29 AM
Hi guys, I just want to know your views and opinion about the difference in Electronic Money (Bitcoin and others) and the Physical Money. Many people now a days are still confuse about the existence of the Bitcoin and how it differ from our Physical Money that we are using to buy necessity. I hope we could share and learn from each other.  Wink Smiley

Electronic cash (cryptocurrencies) are no less than ten years old but it have already disrupted the world of finance.
For example you have the abacus as a calculator back in ages but now we already have electronic calculators that can solve even the hyperbolic functions. Same for the EDVAC and ENIAC calculator where our smartphones are way more powerful than this supercomputers back in the days.
Soon traditional money will be replaced and the electronic money will be more convenient and way more better in terms of being the medium of transactions. We still have much more to learn tho but at the meantime lets have a fruit of this development.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you invest in Russian business? on: November 18, 2017, 01:18:48 AM
What do you think about crypto-investing to business projects wich location in Russia?

They are saying that many Russians are scams but they do have some legit ICO, they are playing a great part in the cryptocurrency world (because they have skills and knowledge) so investing in a Russian ICO is good you just have to know the developers, make some background check if it is legit and so some research in their platform and always read the whitepaper. At the End of the ICO there is no telling if they will run themoney or continue the platform so it's a gamble. Good luck.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: November 17, 2017, 12:43:53 PM
The sharing economy is just going to continue to grow, and governments will be challenged to understand and manage its implications while embracing its benefits. However, governments will be at a significant disadvantage if they wait too long and newer technologies and markets will have already been developed that do not follow traditional models. Think of the following: Uber is the world’s largest taxi service and owns no cars. Airbnb provides lodging yet does not own real estate.

How will local governments adapt to these new ways of doing business that are disrupting traditional business models? All we know now is that governments are a long way from even contemplating and accepting this new reality.
I think the government will have a hard time accepting all this new modes of business since this doesn't benefit them in any ways. There would be a lot of trouble for sure if ever bitcoin will be handled by the government since the investors like it as decentralized. The threat that bitcoin may be used by government's greed is not a good thing and it should not happen.

Yup it's like mixing fuel and fire. Unless that government is kind enough to give people the financial freedom that they are seeking, they won't let this go especially because taxes are the firepower of some country. We still have a long way to go in order for the settlement between the government and crypto community to happen, and Im hoping that this kind of issues will be solve soon without restricting cryptocurrencies.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My bitcoins are stolen on: November 17, 2017, 03:30:43 AM
Hello everyone,

Today ive checked my wallet and everything is gone! i have to say my computer is fresh it is reinstalled yesterday and didnt download anything weird. i have the password in my mind and the peer code on paper!

my wallet was electrum, im almost sure electrum or the gouverment has stolen my money becouse they know exactly everything and the adress where it has send to has over 10+ million euro in bitcoins traded

this is realy frustrating and i lost my trust in bitcoin

My bitcoin adress is 12kBXoEfwZiv2vRk77eLnzb9SRtRJeTSnm

transaction id is 5b1b7b86b62b3e4aa5aa3c24daeefb0c484bcda4f795c9d3ddc1fe8f596d6f1d

https://btc.com/0000000000000000008edd67fe98035967b1a82957e6a474051e5f926a64d209 here u can see the transactions over 10 million

just to make clear, i know i did not click any phishing site i have knowledge how to make these and how to make a virus that remotes a computer and bypass antivirusses

you have a silent phishing site that you go on and get a virus immediately without clicking anything
and you have a virus that goes to your computer by running a java script and i know 100% sure this is not the case unless its electrum or the gouverment

I'm not sure about this, most of the holders here are using electrum and I've been using electrum for 2 years and don't have problem. But this issues might be take into consideration because unconfirmed, or unsolved cases like this might be important in the near future. Unless someone personally know your PW or seed they won't be able to access your electrum wallet. Scary.
95  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why people fear about BITCOIN on: November 16, 2017, 01:07:34 PM
because bitcoin is a new technology that is different from anything we have known so far.
because it is decentralized and nobody controls it.
because the price is volatile and that makes buying it risky.
because it has a lot of enemies including but not limited to banks that attack it by spreading lots of false information that creates panic.
because most people are too lazy to do some research and see what bitcoin really is and prefer to continue using the old familiar things instead.

people are afraid on something that can grant them freedom yet they want to taste it.

What I fear is that BTC might have the unshakable technology now but still even some technology back in the days is thought to be uncrackable but now it's just a piece of cake. Someday might come that the blockchain will be outdated, downgraded and other technology will replace its place. BTC will be useless.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here lives on crypto currency daily? on: November 15, 2017, 01:10:29 AM
I personally only use crypto currency nowadays. I have a bitcoin debit card (bitpay) that I use everyday to make any payments.

It is nice because I can receive money anywhere in the world and have it sent directly to my bitpay account and then spend it in a irl store within minutes.

What about you guys? Do you invest/trade/use crypto currency?

I live in NY btw

THis community has been around since the early days of the BTC so this is an obvious question to those people who lives here (the people who don't shit posts but the people who treat this .org as an organization as an alternative world to their real home) Every moment for them is crypto ( not me I'm new in the field), if we are talking about experience, read some posts between the 2011-2014 and see how they are in sync with the cryptocurrencies.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: November 13, 2017, 09:07:58 AM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

There is no telling when is the right time to buy, and its on you if you will invest in BTC, all of this are just predictions and speculations so there's no telling who will prevail. If you can afford what can you lose then invest on it, it might be a treasure or a stone, you might be a casual guy now or you might become a millionaire, the risk is there as well as the success, just make sure that at the end of the day you don't have regrets on whatever decision you will do today because cryptos are just starting, this might be bumpy ride but the travel and destination is worth it.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: November 10, 2017, 11:10:29 PM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?

Even the mother of all nations have a corruption in their hearts, the thing here is that we just cant blame the blockchain technology by the actions the leads to corruption. Everything can lead to corruption, even alts and that's how the world work. If you are worried that BTC will become a big part of terrorism, crime and drugs then even if BTC dont exists this crimes will never cease to exists. It is here even before the time of Cain and abel. Questions like this is so obvious that people are blaming things for their own actions, and thats sad that humanity lost the way of viewing things that instead of fixing themselves, they are banning something that is worth using for.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: November 10, 2017, 10:55:35 PM
Bitcoin is growing very powerfully but in this present scenario which factors can destroy or make its market value Zero.

Who are the people that made BTC price surge>? of course its users and its supporters and fans, if they will abandon BTC then it will be destroyed. The government and some powerful people might destroy BTC too, not literally destroy the whole thing but can make things worst like they make BTC as an illegal thing like for example weeds.
A technical breakdown can destroy BTC too, because the technology of BTC purely relies on the power of its code, if that code is cracked then this will be the end of it.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 07, 2017, 08:39:43 AM
Why are there no announcements about when the ICO will end? I have never heard any clear information about this

That im not really sure either, icobench says 2 day left but i dont think its right

Hmmm according to the world it will be over in a day, and if they are sticking to that then so be it.
Their technique is good because they have let people promote their platform for almost two months and because of some promising service and bounty, they are confident enough to run their crowdsale in just 7 days.
Good luck.
