521  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opinion on crypto casino project on: August 20, 2023, 09:55:26 AM
It sounds great when you say that you believe in building a casino hand in hand with the players, but the , why not make it fully decentralised? I don't know, maybe this is not technically possible, or unviable from the point of view of the business, but if you managed to create a truly different service, it could be a boom.
Simply because it turns out to be unpractical from the players point of view. The main one in my opinion being the transaction fees every time you want to play. If we're looking for a high quality customer experience then centralised is the way to go.

That is the fair point when it comes to taking players hand in hand and making a casino like that. That's gonna increase the house edge because you will have to pay from that only and to keep it running for a very long period of time this could be troublesome. You will need to work on a detailed workflow of money because managing open source where players are committing their time will need to be paid off. I think at that point it will be evident why other casinos even if they are centralized are easier to work with since they are giving huge money back to players and not keeping a lot for themselves. It's like they are working based on the low house edge but more players are onboarded with their own money to wager.

Though everything needs a piece of expert advice. Since the casino is a business associated with the monetary movement, it is better to have a CA and legal team on board!

522  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Multiple Devices, Part keys, Single Wallet Creation - Idea on: August 20, 2023, 09:35:15 AM
Has anyone thought about the Multi-Device wallet creation or something similar?
I think everyone today holds at least one laptop, a desktop, a tab, a smartphone, and a bunch of devices sometimes. I am getting a feeling that we should start exploring the possibility to synch these devices and then create one wallet with one owner of it.

Imagine the protocol:
Once you start the wallet creation process it will ask you the number of compatible devices you have, probably with more details such as OS, make, and model and it will tell you the exact steps to follow so that you can install the part wallets on different devices.

Once you have that in your hands, we can start installing the apps on various devices as per the tutorial.

So Device 1 should be able to generate a partial key, Device 2 will generate another part, and so on. Let us say we have 3 devices then they will have the key broken down in three ways.

It could be a pattern base:
Sometimes it will pick up the first 4 characters, sometimes the last first or middle first, and so on! The permutation and combination will play a great deal of role here in increasing the anonymous nature of the private key itself.

This part key will only work if these three devices are together, and we turn on the Synchronization with some of the passcode beforehand.

What do you think about such a sophisticated mechanism, will it work someday?
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 19, 2023, 06:46:57 PM
Honestly, I never found myself in a position where I am attracted to the Gold and thought about accumulating it in a private safe so that one day I can sell it for profit. It is such a hard process to follow if I am going to imagine it. I mean first I will have to maintain proper documentation of the Gold that I am holding in my house OR locker.

It means I am already exposing my privacy about my monetary holdings. Secondly, I would be always concerned about the safety of my Gold since it's just one wall away from getting robbed when I am dead drunk and sleeping in my bed with no consciousness. Imagine what would be my mental health when I am traveling somewhere far and there is always a thought that is bugging me, I am having Gold bars at my house or in my bank and I have no idea if it is safe or not. Apart from this, I will always have to follow the rules whenever I am going to sell the gold and get my money back. The challenges are unreal here.

It's better to checkout Bitcoin, easy buy easy sell, paperless, timefree!
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: August 19, 2023, 06:08:14 PM
I am going to refer you to a piece of news that I just read from one of the users who has won around $ 125,000.00 and they wagered Bet amount of $ 20 only!!
I think this should motivate you regarding the stories of lucky gamblers and how they were able to win huge jackpots with the smallest possible bet. Though this one was not a small bet the winning amount was higher. Look at the stats of this bet. Below link can tell you time of Bet, amount of bet, the amount won, and the multiplier.

By the way, he hit the multiplier of x6270 and that's what made him that rich. Cool isn't it?

You can follow this link to understand this particular bet: Bitcointalk User won $125,000

I am referring to this post from the user LuckyGambler91 and his winning story here

I think we are limited by the number of sharing peeps do when they hit the jackpots like this. Plus we do not have every person on board who might be winning massive amount of jackpot. So yeah, keep trying, who knows we might hit such jackpots too.
525  Economy / Gambling / Re: HIT A JACKPOT on BITCASINO.IO - (I GOT PAID!!!) MY JOURNEY HERE. on: August 19, 2023, 05:21:38 PM
Congratulations mate on winning such a huge amount. Also, congrats you showing high trust in them by opening up that email and trying it out. I loved how you cautiously studied the NFT before getting into it. That shows and teaches us how one should be careful and should not take a decision when you are too happy or too angry! The results will follow if they are true and accurate.

For those who did not check the OP results then they wagered 20.00 as the bet amount and won a whopping 125402.00. All the bets were in USD and the multiplier was 6270.10x.

Now that is called some insane win and crazy luck!

I am gonna be honest --->> first time someone is posting positivity about a gambling casino and that's amazing.  Grin
526  Economy / Economics / Re: China Setting up mBridge against US Swift Ban on: August 19, 2023, 04:26:52 AM
What could this implies?
What could be the possible implications?

This implies nothing. This is just another experimental project by the CBDC in an effort to increase borderless transactions and bring businesses closer than before. This also helps the CBDC to keep a close eye on monetary situations in various countries or those using the Bridge since all the transactions are happening under their jurisdiction.

Since we are in a crypto space we will consume this news as some sort of negativity about Bitcoin but in reality, it is not. They might not be implying anything with this neither to Bitcoin nor to any other form of payment.

Quote
Project mBridge experiments with cross-border payments using a custom-built common platform based on distributed ledger technology (DLT) upon which multiple central banks can issue and exchange their respective central bank digital currencies (multi-CBDCs).

This more or less seems to be lowering the burden on various central banks when they do such heavy transactions. The import-export-associated transaction could range from millions to billions of dollars. Since it is centralized transaction it takes time at the back end to tally every penny thus to reduce that dead space it could be just another project they have taken in association with various Governments.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What they used before Blockchain Explorer? on: August 19, 2023, 04:00:11 AM
That's mean before 2010 Bitcoin was a privacy coin, but it's become pseudonymous after Bitcoin explorer is existing.
Having a block explorer doesn't really change much about the level of privacy that bitcoin offers. Not to mention that before 2010 there weren't that many transactions to go through using your own full node, you can even check all of them manually if you skip the coinbase transactions since there are only a little higher than 200 of them in first year: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transactions?s=time(asc)&q=time(2009-01-03..2010-01-01),is_coinbase(false)#f=block_id,time,is_coinbase

This is true about privacy. I think back then it was not even private because you could literally point out the person who made that transaction considering the number of transactions. Like in the Block #170 or a few previous other blocks the input and output of mining is around 50 BTC with repeated bitcoin addresses. Let us say back then the whole world was watching these few miners doing their jobs they could easily tag the Bitcoin Addresses with the names and keep track ever after. This anyway did not happen but it was possible back then. In similar ways as they kept the tracking of Satoshi's address, it would be done for the others.

However, the reality is, the network has outgrown so much that even with the Block explorer you end up in the giant network of conformations and see thousands of them intertwined due to various destination transactions, output and input both.
528  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: August 18, 2023, 07:37:43 PM
I don't really have much to say as regards to this post. It is just an avenue to hear your thoughts on which is better to invest both time, energy and resources in, mostly for a season as this, where we are experiencing economic uncertainty and ill-timed government banking policies.

So, given that the resources are available or not and you are presented with the opportunity to start/grow or buy an existing business just like Elon Musk, which option is more preferential and benefitial to you?

When we talk about a business takeover, we need to know all the ups and downs of that company because without properly amplified resources we can not expect much but the dust itself. It is a simple rule, if you are taking over then you will have to understand the insider structure first and that will take one of the vital resources from you which is your TIME. You can not beat that for sure, or else you will end up losing more money in the quick learning progress or by hiring more personnel to understand the entire process of that existing business. The takeover which we lear from guys like Elon Musk should not be taken as motivation because that man already has billions of dollars in his right and left pockets. If anything goes wrong he can just build the entire business out of scratch. It's better to start your own, you will learn along the way and you will connect more.
529  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How much do I need to start mining? on: August 18, 2023, 06:51:38 PM
You can put as much as you want into the mining operations and still may not reach the sweet spot. That is how the mining farm works.
Well, I can not tell you the exact budget but I have two topics that you should go through.

Basically, I made these topics for beginners in the mining field and it is purely based on my personal experience. Since I started the mining with my personal experience, it was both fun and struggling but it does provide a detailed layout for the mining and getting started with it.

Kindly note that this is for the GPU set up and doesn't refer to the ASICS as such. However, just thought to post it here so that you can try the best of both world.

531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Try your luck with 1 to 1 odds game on: August 18, 2023, 05:57:30 PM
I will advice people to avoid this site.

Your web3 gambling site domain was registered barely 3 months ago. While people are using noncustodial wallet to connect, if the web3 gambling site belongs scammers, the seed phrase or private key of the noncustodial wallet can be revealed and the wallet would be compromised.

What? Is this for real? I cannot process this because I am unsure if we will end up revealing the seed when we connect web3 applications and our wallets.
Just being curious I did search about the risks of connecting to the web3 application and I got shocking results too. But I am more or less disappointed that why such a nice casino has to go down because of the few bad examples.

I am not supporting anything here but it's disgraceful to see how these new-generation applications are not strong at their security.

Quote
Risks and Problems of Current Authentication Systems

Usernames, passwords, emails, and other sensitive personal information are usually stored on centralized systems that are often at risk of hackers attempting to steal user information all at once.
Personal data is often controlled, collected, and shared with other parties without people’s knowledge.
It’s difficult for people to manage and remember so many passwords, which creates a bad user experience.
One of the main risks of logging in with social media accounts like Facebook and Google (single sign-on) is if a single charge is compromised, the attacker can then gain access to all of the applications and data associated with that account. In 2018, a Facebook security breach exposed the accounts of 50 million users.
Source

However, if someone can vouch after playing it safe then it should be able to increase the awareness of your casino. Otherwise, this is cruel to let go of such a nice casino. I did check the website, it looks way simple game to play but as per the rule we should always look after safety first and that is why I am now one step back until a positive review comes.
532  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opinion on crypto casino project on: August 18, 2023, 04:56:44 PM
Welcome to forum and good to know you are dreaming about your own casino. It sounds more fun when it comes to having decentralised casino because these days there is heavy war between the players and their casinos due to burden of submitting the KYC. Some of them are going so harsh that they have segregated the KYC process in various levels where one could be starting point and level 4 or something would be harassment one. Lolz. We surely need more decentralised casinos now because of the reason I mentioned above. Apart from this we are also in need of trusted brands because peeps were left speechless when casino like Betnomi failed us and shown us that no matter how big is the brand we can’t trust it. Only few are left out that we can trust for sure. Hope so you make better version and trusted one.
533  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: August 17, 2023, 06:53:23 PM
Also one of the concern of free VPN is the potential to share IP with other casino players that violates terms. You might get connected and freeze your account even though you are not with them. Premium VPN is a must.
This should be most important for players who use free VPNs, maybe they are not cheating but the IP is the same as other players who are cheating so that it affects our accounts, unfortunately players often don't realize this, and because they are reluctant to spend money on premium VPNs they end up with things that are detrimental to him, so if you really like to gamble VPN should be included in the equipment for gambling.

by this logic any VPN would put you in the same basket as other users
even a premium one could give you the same IP as a cheater
but yes you're right
if you're concerned about privacy you shouldn't probably use KYC casinos anyway, and on the other hand if you're KYCing then it makes no big difference to tell them your IP because they'll already have your main address

it's a bit of an oversimplification but you get the idea

I think they should just switch to the decentralised casinos and start playing without any complaints. I think there are enough casinos that are decentralised, KYC free, and are also listed on the forum itself. I am not interested in them and I don’t like the simple UI that they provide because of the poorly developed designs and contributions from various sources. However, I would suggest one can find them easily and worn their way out.

Instead of fighting over other illegal ways like the above one it’s far better. Why use VPN, why bother doing KYC if there are other type of alternatives?

These KYC targeting war are increasing on various popular casinos.
534  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran and Russia want to issue new stablecoin backed by gold on: August 17, 2023, 06:29:36 PM
I don’t believe that this will work because there is one country that is not so viable in handling the foreign affairs and there is other whose president banned the crypto and unbanned the crypto God knows how many times. How can this relationship would work in the long run without any second thoughts. Backing up anything with the Gold is like having everyday trend now that seems not working that properly as it should have been.

The gold reserves has to be held properly otherwise in the world where a war can break out at anytime these gold reserves can become unstable at anytime. Let’s say this partnership breaks in between then who would take the responsibility of these Gold reserves??

Moreover if we even checkout the Top Gold backed stable coins then they don’t have much of market cap. They have not obtained much attention so I highly doubt this is going to be any different?

Just for records, Gold backed stabelcoins. If you check the market cap and historical chart views then it’s not a fun.

1) Tether Gold (XAUT)
2) DigixGlobal (DGX)
3) Paxos Gold (PAXG)
4) Gold Coin (GLC)
5) Perth Mint Gold Token (PMGT)
6) Meld Gold by Algorand
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin negatives on: August 17, 2023, 05:24:32 PM
I strongly believe that this is just out of aggression and it doesn’t mean anything at all. If Bitcoin was so much negative then why there is war for its existence? Since Bitcoin has entered the realm everyone is trying to be smarter and making their own businesses on its principles. Big financial institutes, crypto related banks, various brokerage firms everyone is using Bitcoin to become one of world leading entities in the domain.

Mining rewards, miners, users everyone is already happy. Miners are getting rewards with the technology at hands and with lowest possible ROI using various techniques. Moreover, bitcoins mining process is smartly designed so that block reward is halving and at the same time compensation is happening because of the increase Bitcoin prices.

I think everything is well settled. Bitcoin will overpower many centralised financial institutes. Just wait and watch.
536  Economy / Economics / Re: All millions are from real estate. on: August 14, 2023, 06:39:07 PM
I feel like real estate investments are safest ones unless you are on earthquake zones. But eventually this totally depends on country. Some countries like Japan is small but population is decreasing. Demand for real estates are constantly increasing only in countries where they make lot of babies + high migration. If we consider environmental crises too Europe is very likely good market for future because of these.

Haha, I like the fact that you stated “where they make lot of babies”. In other words wherever the population per capita rate is highest will have the high demand of real estate. I think this is the reason many Asian countries are seeing the steepest rise in price of real estate. Imagine the same rate in western hemisphere that is either constant or rising at lower rates in comparison. The population is literally thin in the western countries. However they have another trend where their properties are valued more. For example a piece of land in Asian country might cost same as owning an apartment in the New York or maybe London for that matter. The geographical differences and population will always be major factor.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the Bitcoin community be concerned about BlackRock? on: August 14, 2023, 05:10:10 PM
I think I am going to say that this is positive news for us. With their applications of Bitcoin ETF, they are actually making sure that Bitcoin is going to be a secure asset if they are willing to invest heavily in it. I think that pretty much tells us they are not going to be just playing with Bitcoin for fun purposes. They are serious organizations and as you stated a $9 trillion industry mate, it's just superbly powerful with that kind of money to back you up.

In fact, I would say Bitcoin will be just a tiny portion of their business if they successfully get approval for the ETF application. If they are capable of investing $6 billion just to have a new revenue stream from renting properties then definitely they would look at Bitcoin as an accurate and well-planned execution.

BlackRock has already filed 576 ETFs in the past and only 1 got rejected. They have a very high success rate when it comes to such complicated approvals.

Quote
Bitcoin is now available in an ETF format but only through futures markets, which are overseen by CME Group (CME) and Cboe Global Markets (CBOE). The largest such fund, the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO), has been a modest success and attracted copycats. But a spot-based fund could be cheaper, avoiding the costs and position limits that futures funds contend with when “rolling forward” Bitcoin contracts.

BlackRock has a nearly unblemished record in getting ETFs through the SEC. The company before now has filed 576 ETF applications and been rejected only once. Given that record and other factors, research firm Capstone estimates a 40% chance that BlackRock’s application makes it through.

“They have a good relationship with the SEC, and there is a reputational risk involved that BlackRock is well aware of,” says Bryan Armour, Morningstar ’s director of passive research. “It seems like BlackRock must know something that we don’t.”

Great to see your website getting launched and good luck for the future endeavours.
Few points: the website UI is fairly good and since you have small niche you should keep it that way only. I mean your website name and your games are perfectly matched up. You must have thought this through while launching the site. I hope this site will fulfil the players needs with proper support such as continued support, proper promotions, time to time social interactions and much more.
I am seeing that you have not published the ANN perfectly. Do check other ANN so that you can see how effective they are. I know every business starts with some funding and budget but more efforts should be put up in this. All the best.
539  Economy / Gambling / Re: Play Simple telegram-bot game "Unix Season" on: August 14, 2023, 09:25:26 AM
Great to see your new game over a telegram. I am not sure when we started with such type of gambling but to say it's really unique and worth a try. I am not sure if I would be willing to spend a lot of time on this because what makes this different than opening a gambling app on my smartphone and playing with it? Why would I start playing a game inside a chat app or document-sharing app that I am mostly using for friends' chat or business purposes?

I understand that Telegram has given a wider range of development and open spaces for such programming and bots, but sometimes I just feel like it ain't worth it mate.

Obviously, as a hobby and small revenue model, it will be your dream project. I would go further and motivate you to publish it to a wide range of gamblers. Good luck.

Now with the BTC price still sideways, I'd rather keep my spins as well.

On balance it makes more sense to use them up because of the interest they will give you meanwhile.    I don't know exactly the yield in terms of spins you might get returned but even if it was only 1 or 2 spins per day extra you might as well take it I think.    My guess is FBC never foresaw people on purpose saving spins, I do it myself sometimes but Im not feeling it presently.

You are not wrong in your thinking about getting interest on the savings. However, the interest rate is 4% per annum on the savings. That is really a tiny portion of our savings. It is also beneficial only if we are holding a large amount of satoshi or whole bitcoin in savings mode. Then only we get better interest on our savings.

On the other hand, saving WOF has got two key points: 1) Not playing it right away when the Bitcoin price is not doing so great has dropped the rewards per spin also. 2) Spinning it together will increase the odds of hitting better rewards. Now if this is really a working methodology or not, the reward that is seen together is always going to be better.

Meanwhile, here is my progress in terms of WOF fillers:
