has anyone experienced having their one antminer s9 alive in port 3333 in status page, and the other antminer s9 dead in all ports.... it always happens even though they both share the same internet connection and same router... is it because there is a problem with antpool's accomodation of workers?
my first antminer has a worker name of xxxx.1   and the other has worker name of xxxx.3, can anybody help me with this?  or should i set both miners to worker name xxxx.1?

Try reactivating just the second miner first..

tried that for like a million times already man.. so i just transferred to other pool now.. and its back to all alive.. unlike in antpool which always brings back the bug i was saying

just tried pointing at antpool... getting two or three out of three strat addr down, so i guess they are having problems.
glad it isnt ourequip.

thanks much for this..     https://poolprofit.io/en/

@Elokk

I guess I should have put an /s behind that comment.   I never would have suspected nicescam to come back so fast and I also knew btcguild shut down. Anyway. For those noobs out there.  Kano pays the most just have to be patient.

If you need to see better then look no further than the thread Phil mentioned as well as this site.  https://poolprofit.io/en/

There work is done for you all.

8  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BITCOIN POPS? on: December 29, 2017, 09:53:22 PM
... Satoshi has over a million bitcoins that will eventually enter the market. ....

I agree with the rest of your post, but this part is highly unlikely in
my opinion. It is much more likely that the keys to Satoshi´s coins
are lost forever.

They will never enter the market and can be pretty much ignored for
all purposes.

i dont think satoshi would be likely to lose his keys.

btc has established itself as a medium of exchange and a store of value.
if the value dropped dramatically i would exploit the situation to buy, confident of a recoup.
when people ask me "what if it drops to zero" i tell them "that is the best time to buy."

Wish i'd never spent any of it...   : /

bitmains sister company, btc.com pays block reward (pps) and tx fees averaged (something like pplns) out to miners but is
nowhere forthcoming as to what percentage they charge to the miners as a pool fee.
I inquired of them and received a detailed explanation of tx fees to the transactor instead.
anyone know how much of a bite btc.com actually takes from the miners?
12  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: December 24, 2017, 08:46:09 PM
I use btc merged mining with namecoin on antpool. Havent received any namecoin payment until now. Am it the only one with this problem?

last they responded me saying nmcwas converted to btc and added to balance..
i havent kept track so IDK but the nmc is trivial and im not concerned.
its typical bitmain behavior.
they've never failed to pay what they owe,
but their system of keeping the tx fees is a lousy holdover from the days when tx fees didn't amount to much.
recently tx fees have been running over 6btc per block! so i would suggest mining where they pay them out.

15  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-16] Bitcoin is "Lifesaving" Currency in Venezuela on: December 18, 2017, 04:50:39 AM
But it is only Bitcoin? I have heard before that they mining Digybite and some people play a lot of games just too cash out some money. I think monero and other coins that is easier to hide would be better for them. But what this shows and could change forever cryptocurrency is that people could defeat a dictatorial government if they refuse to use fiat money.

ha.. we trying that in u.s. too..

Expected Time to Block:   66d 14h 17m 55s...............pffffffffffffft!!

i have infinite patience, but....
19  Other / Archival / Re: Mining pools list on: December 15, 2017, 04:03:30 AM
and to echo another persons perplexed query, why in blue blazes would anybody mine at antpool? or those other three big fat pools with lousy payout policies?
i am seriously curious. if you are one of those people, please leave a note of explanation for the rest of us. are we missing something?
this is not a snide put down. it's a serious question. why take such a large loss and lend power and BTCBTC to corporate avarice threatening the base principals of us all?

PLEASE don't mine at pools with a poor payout/fee policy. It only feeds the monster.

i dusted the dirt off an older s1 and am running it at Kano's pool. Kano.is
If I can get the accumulated grime off of another old s1, i am going to run it solo on solo.ckpool.org  [thanks os2sam]
[i wouldnt object to a big fat 12.5BTC if i get lucky, and in that case CK deserves his 1% for the help]

a word on the old s1 s....    they ran for 7 months unattended nonstop, then when a shelf collapsed they fell 3 ft onto a stone floor, i put them back and they kept on running.
today they generat 45c per day BTC and they burn 88c per day electric. if the solo unit hits, it will more than cover its cost in used plutonium.
