Ripple Launches New Service Utilizing Crypto Asset XRP to Fund Instant Cross-Border Payments (Line of Credit)

Check out the discussion here:

Ripple’s new “Line of Credit” service is now live, giving the company’s customers an opportunity to borrow XRP for cross-border transactions.

Financial institutions and money service providers using the San Francisco startup’s XRP-powered, cross-border payment product, On-Demand Liquidity (ODL), can borrow Ripple’s native currency for a one-time fee via an approval system that will move faster than legacy financial options, according to a press release.

Wasn't there already a product called RippleX which was supposed to use XRP tokens for facilitating cross border transactions ?
I wonder what's the difference between RiplleX and Line of Credit.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese central bank to airdrop 10 million digital yuan on: October 12, 2020, 07:32:51 AM
It's not for everybody though. The Chinese city Shenzhen, often referred as Silicon Valley of China, would distribute 10 million yuan ($2 million) worth of new Chinese digital currency to 50,000 of it's lucky residents. The people would be put into a lottery to bring out the winners.
It is done to test the new system and boost the adoption and use of Chinese Digital Yuan currency. The Chinese digital Yuan is already accepted in a number of retails.

Wow that's a pretty big amount and a pretty big step in the move towards the digital economy by China. Although I think the users may not be use the money that is airdropped now as it is still in a pilot phase.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: October 10, 2020, 03:34:30 AM
Approved by what?
Maybe the OP meant legalized. Because we know, that not all countries legalize the existence of Bitcoin, even though some do. So when a country accepts Bitcoin as an alternative means of payment, everyone in that country will be curious about Bitcoin and start trying to use it, so the volume of Bitcoin transactions will increase as a whole.

Yeah I think the OP means the government officially recognising Bitcoin as a method of payment . If that happens it would create huge awareness for the people about crypto currency.

But the government are hesitant to do so as it will undermine the financial ecosystem which they are controlling right now.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PARSIQ UNI-LP PROVIDERS SUFFERING on: October 10, 2020, 03:32:08 AM
Thank You for the PARSIQ team for the right thing to do. To be clear I got both my PARSIQ and ETH. Much Appreciated.

That's good for you. To clear it up did the team send you the swapped tokens and the equivalent ETH that you provided I. Liquidity pool after the swap due to the kucoin hack ?

The big question again remains of decentralization though .
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to move on if you've failed to meet the due date of a bounty campaign on: October 10, 2020, 03:29:16 AM
While saying don't whine is easy it's really tough to take when month of your work and time isn't appreciated. But yeah there is little the bounty managers can do if the team goes rogue .

As always we move on in the hope that we will find some genuine projects to promote which will fasten the blockchain adoption.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: October 10, 2020, 03:27:04 AM
If u were holding BTC or ETH then it could potentialy become profitable but with coins as these i would't try anymore still it's ur decision to make either stay till it dies or jump of before its to late

It depends on what coins you hold and if you have done basic research on the tokens before buying into them.

If the investment is a speculative investment the I would say better not hold and sell at a profit. But if you have done research and following the project regularly then makes all the sense to hold.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to too many promoters on: October 09, 2020, 02:51:18 AM

Just if bounty managers and project teams can start limiting bounty hunters the reward will still be fair enough, how can 500 participants share 3000$ bounty allocation?

Where are the bounties with fixed bounty allocations? After doing some digging on past bounty campaigns I noticed many of them have fixed rewards, this is good or limited participants

What do you think??

So many bounty hunters do not care about bounty hunters, have you read about IQ.Cash bounty so many bounty hunters have received from $2 to $10 only after months of promoting their project and they are now holding another campaign, it makes bounty hunters beggars, bounty hunters should not join,. IQ.Cash they treat them as slaves and not independent partners.

This is the problem with herd mentality in selecting the bounty projects to promote. While it is necessary to select a genuine project to promote it is also a must that we select a project which will reward us for the time we spend in promoting the project.
Getting 10 $ worth after a month work is really really bad.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be fooled on: October 09, 2020, 02:45:27 AM
Cryptocurrency was not affected by the pandemic. The internet is what kept the world alive and together during this critical period. Exiting crypto because of the pandemic is worth considering as being fooled.

I wouldn't say the crypto currency wasn't affected by the pandemic..we all saw how the process slumped during the pandemic although they recoverd later.

I terms of development most projects were affected and they had to extend their deadlines because of wfh and restrictions.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on VeChain (VET) on: October 09, 2020, 02:41:30 AM
Didn't give much interest to this coin before but do you think this project has high potential?
Do you think it can reach 0,1$ in a near future?
In cryptocurrency golden time we saw that 0.1 USD ICO token price return huge profits. Only a few months before the Vechain price was 0.02 cents. I deserve more than 0.4 USD before 1.5 years. But don't fill up your bag with only Vechain. From now on almost 20* times profits. I would like to invest in new altcoins or still low prices after the crypto Golden times.

Looks like so long before we saw 0.02 price now it has reduced by almost 40 percent and near 0.01 but the partnership they have like pwc and deloitte and also their implement in walmart Sam's club the transaction happening on vechain platform is expected to raise .

Hopefully we see increased value with transaction increase.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now Bounty Program totally worth less !! 90% Bounties are scam on: October 09, 2020, 02:37:15 AM
I know 99% people working on Bounties they really work hard.
A bounty campaign is an easy job. You don't need to work hard. You just need to make quality posts that can be useful to others. It's that simple.

Now days bounties are really worthless. 90% Project is fake and Scam.
Don't be a loser, look for 10% of projects that don't scam, don't give up, and don't complain. If you take the time to read and analyze a project, you won't be fooled, but unfortunately, you don't do either of those things.
Even if the 4 bounty campaign from 10 is not a scam, I consider this a success. After 2017, many scam ICOs created out of thin air have opened the high-paying bounty campaigns which disappeared slowly within time. Checking each project consumes time and energy but it will worth receiving a bounty reward after all the drama in the best case.

Absolutely . We need to spend some time to identify which bounty are good by looking at the project and the team members.  I stay away from bounties which promise to pay million of dollars for us.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: cryptcurrency arbitrage any ideas? on: October 08, 2020, 04:29:19 AM
I know the people who still earn good money with arbitrage, and I will continue to do so in the future. Personally, I find it very annoying and a tough job, there are many risks and hidden obstacles in this trading.

The arbitrage trading totally depends on the exchange sites. If the exchange sites didn't allow the arbitrage traders to send or deposit their coins to the exchange site and then these traders may get a big risk caused by the price drop that will happen in the price.

For me, arbitrage trading is a risky trade but it less risky rather than shorting the market.
Sometimes im also doing it too.

If you are gonna arbitrage trade I think its better to do this with the help of bots as you have to act very very fast to move the funds between the exchanges . Also the arbitrage really depends on gas costs as well if you are going to use DEX as part pf one of the legs.

If you are not an experienced trader I would suggest you to stay away from it.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A New DEX aggregator with ProTrading Features that costs less gas on: October 08, 2020, 04:25:17 AM
Has anyone checked SNS Litepaper - they are working on an innovative Ethereum Layer 2 sidechain based solution to facilitate the convenience similar to Centralized Exchanges on the Decentralized liquidity pool protocols like Uniswap , Balancer , Kyber etc. ?

One of a kind Dex with features like Limit orders, Stop loss, minimal gas fee and leverage orders, so far didn't see find anywhere else.

check out

How is it different to any DEX that are already using less gas like Tomo Dex or 1inch exchange which provides DEX aggregation services as well .

Definitely one thing that looks like a good feature is the ability to provide limit orders which is currently missing in the v2 of uniswap.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out about new projects? on: October 08, 2020, 04:21:40 AM
Hi everyone, I mostly participate in public token sales, so I need to know about the start of sales as early as possible to prepare. I wonder how you learn about new projects? I am particularly interested in how people learn about projects that only have a discord channel. Or do you follow the investment of any funds? Maybe there are some informational subreddits? Let's share useful sources!

Here is my list which makes it easier for me to find:

1) CryptoDiffer - The list is not very relevant, some projects have already undergone public sale of tokens.

2) ICO Analytics - News and analysis channel.

3) Generation Crypto - News and analysis channel.

4)  Site Polka Project - Allows you to track new projects projects related to Polkadot system.

ICO analytics and cryptodiffers are two of the most popular vhannels that I follow as well.
I would add top7ICo to that list as well.

After going through the new ICO I usually read the white paper of the ICO in detail and also about the past record of the team members before deciding on the ICO.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Chairman threatens to leave US over crypto regulation on: October 07, 2020, 12:03:55 PM
Ripple Chairman threatens to leave US over crypto regulation

Executive chairman Chris Larsen said San Fransisco-based Ripple has grown increasingly frustrated over what it perceives as a hostile attitude to the cryptocurrency industry by the federal government, and in particular the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Larsen made the comment about Ripple relocating during a virtual interview with Fortune at the LA Blockchain Summit. He added that nearly every other country offers a more favorable regulatory climate for crypto than the U.S., but named the U.K. and Singapore as the most likely destinations if Ripple leaves the U.S.

Larsen also acknowledged that moving Ripple's headquarters wouldn't end U.S. jurisdiction over many of its operations, but said it be a relief to have another country as Ripple's chief regulator.

I'm not surprised though, ever since SEC has been targeting crypto, Ripple might be in the radar already and it's just a matter of time because they come after them. If I'm Ripple though, I will move right away to crypto friendly countries beyond the reach of US. I will not wait fill SEC comes down hard on the company, in my opinion.

I don't think they will move out of the US right away. This I think is one of the tactics used to scare of SEC to bring in favourable regulations . Also being in US enables ripple to get easy clients.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: October 07, 2020, 12:00:21 PM
Some bounty managers have been known to promote scam projects and I believe because they have users who rush to sign up, they keep being agents of scam project and not escrowing rewards.

If you have not checked this thread

Of course I completely agree with the OP. We promoters should not promote all coins taht are here but we should do a round of checking and make sure they aren't obvious scams.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNI Token Eligible Wallet To claim free Uni token! on: October 07, 2020, 11:54:25 AM
Did anyone experienced having another wallet used in uniswap but you lose the private key/keystore file to access the wallet and the wallet is eligible to claim 400 uni token?. As far as I know, the price of each uni token is around $3 to $5.

What do you mean lost the private keys?

Was it a temporary account used for the purpose of just uniswap trading. Even in that case hopefully the login details are already present in the computer that you used for trading.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The digital Yuan is almost a fact on: October 07, 2020, 11:51:10 AM
Of course the government is trying to experiment it in an selected few cities to see how it goes before deciding on it. But I have a feeling that soon we will see it .

Of course soon means not a year , I think it might take atleast 2025 to see real usage .
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NMX] Nominex Speculation on: October 06, 2020, 01:15:07 AM
You can also check out our platform with a free demo account  Wink

That's interesting.when you mean a demo account do you mean we can do paper trade for real time crypto currency prices using the demo account. That's a feature that would be very welcome and attract a lot of crowd.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AERGO. The opportunity of a lifetime. on: October 06, 2020, 01:12:52 AM

Who knows that dreams could come to reality my friend, and nothing is impossible these days. There could be miracles that we didn't expect to happen, that's why don't close any opportunities for this coin. Someday we will see brighter future not just for aergo but also for entire cryptocurrency economy.

Its just your dreams. But reality in that such important things like government stable coins will never use third party blockchain. They have enough money, power etc to create own much more stable and trusted blockchain
For the big 5 countries, yes, I agree but the government-backed up altcoin will not be accepted by the crypto community depending on the reputation of the specific country. It will be more political rather than economic perspective of altcoin, a strong basement is not the case here, IMO. The main issues are connected to trust directly or vice versa.

I would say its non-realistic for any country. It depends on it a whole country and a lot people lives. So yes. Its political. They cannt rely on some unknown trird-parties blockchain.
For example Europe union is working on Digital Euro nowdays, as like as China. And they are going to make own blockchain of course.

I think that's gonna change slowly . While governments may not back altcoin directly as a mode of exchange Aergo is being backed by institutions like blocko and e24p which will make it easier for the adoption .
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Earning $78 A DAY?! Staking Cryptocurrency | Passive Income W/ NRG, Earn, Mining on: October 06, 2020, 01:10:14 AM
Staking is a very nice way to setup a long term passive income but the issue here is that people trying to setup nodes during the midst of bull run. If anything people should have setup their during the severe fall that we saw so that we see multiple returns when the value of tokens increase.
