341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: September 27, 2017, 08:02:26 AM
There are lots of ICOs on the market. You may recognize 3 main categories of ICOs projects:

- ICOs that are actually real scams, which never release coins or tokens. They also never pay bounty hunters. Thus what they basically do is to take money from investors and then disappear. They are real thieves, in other words.
- ICOs that release coins and tokens, but with a low-level, often silly and ridicolous project. In other words, it is not worth to invest in such projects because they never made investors rich. Such project often never release even a MVP.
- ICOs that are worth to invest in because they have a good project, clear roadmap, skilled team and an already working MVP.

Knowing which is the legit and profitable ICO to invest your money in is not always easy. You need to study and inform yourself in detail.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: exodus wallet for bounties? on: September 27, 2017, 07:55:15 AM
You can use any wallet you want as long as it supports the currencies you wanna get from the bounties.
For ICO coins, though, since they usually are ERC-20 based tokens, it is very common to use myetherwallet.com. Just be sure to "Add custom token" if needed...
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is myetherwallet.com on: September 26, 2017, 06:49:22 AM
hi guys, I'm guys wondering what is myetherwallet.com, they say that it isn't a wallet? but can we use it as wallet to store our ETH?
and the next question is, if we have token, how can we convert it to ETH or BTH using myetherwallet.com?

It is a client side wallet for ETH and ERC20 tokens. I use it and it's very useful because with it you can safely store not only ETH and ETC, but tokens you buy from ICOs or get from signature campaigns as well.

You can't convert ETH to BTC on myetherwallet because it is not an exchange. For it you may use regular exchange, decentralized exchanges like Waves platform or you may ask some user on this forum.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Airdrop? on: September 26, 2017, 06:45:17 AM
It is like a giveaway of altcoins (usually new altcoins). Often there's a task to be done in order to receive the coins.
I don't know the reasons why this other term came up. The actual differences between airdrops, bounties and giveaways are often very slight.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherum Hardfork on: September 26, 2017, 06:38:40 AM
Why another hard fork on the ethereum chain? What's the issue this time?
Also, will we get double coins like last time?

348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to earn Bitcoin by campaign on: September 22, 2017, 09:05:22 PM
Hello guys,
How people are earning ETH by campaign, Can any one help to earn ETH coins through Campaigns.

Regards,
SIVA

I think there is no campaign currently pays by ETH. The majority of campaigns pay people with new altcoins/tokens (ICO ones) usually and there are a few which pay users in Bitcoin. But no one with ETH, sorry... maybe in the future...
349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happen to dissapeared bitcoin? on: September 22, 2017, 09:01:27 PM
I just curious about statement "only 21 million BTC are able to exist in this world"

Imagine that I save 200 bitcoin in my wallet, and there is no one,  even single person I taught about my asset.
When I die… what happen to that 200 BTC?

If its still there, aren't 20.999.800 left in the bitcoin circulation until the end of time?

Yes, if a person dies and no other person can access to his/her wallets (e.g. having private keys, seeds, etc.) funds are just not recoverable by anyone else, so - yes - such bitcoins would be lost forever. Thus, since many bitcoin are already lost, the total available amount of coins will be less than 21 millions.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Bitcoins for Tokens on: September 22, 2017, 08:58:42 PM
Where can I trade some of my Bitcoins for Tokens post-ICO? Which exchange(s)?

Well, it's very easy. Just find the token you wanna buy/trade, see which exchanges listed it and deposit Bitcoin on that exchange. If the token is not tradeable on exchanges yet, you may even try on this forum. Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where will crypto be in the future. on: September 22, 2017, 08:54:05 PM
No one can predict the future for sure. What's happening in many parts of the world anyway is that Bitcoin, Ethereum and blockchain technology in general are getting very high recognization and are becoming to be widely used by various actors. The ICO fever over the last few months is a clear evidence of this. I'm pretty confident as well that crypto future will be bright.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] Tomahawkcoin Bounty Campaign (Articles, Media,Design, Community) on: September 18, 2017, 07:42:29 PM
Do we need to "add custom token" on myetherwallet.com in order to receive Tomahawk tokens we earned from the bounties? Or is it a waves-based token?
353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to buy bitcoins on: September 18, 2017, 07:34:57 PM
There are several services where you may do it. Coinbase is the most used one, but it's not available in every country and I also read some complaints about them. Also there are coinmama and even blockchain.info wallet.
354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoin with BTC ? on: September 18, 2017, 07:29:41 PM
Hi all,

Do you trade altcoin with BTC or fiat ? (or USDT)
Why did you choose this option ?

Thanks Wink

Neither Bitcoin nor fiat money. I prefer to use ETH instead, because it is easier to deposit than fiat and it's cheaper and faster than Bitcoin. I also prefer to hold Bitcoin.

On bittrex and other exchanges as well there are many ETH markets.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: September 18, 2017, 07:37:11 AM
Do we need to "add custom token" on myetherwallet.com in order to receive COSS tokens we purchased during the ICO?
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] HireMatch - Decentralized Blockchain Employee Recruitment Platform on: September 17, 2017, 07:51:15 PM

Where is the avatar anyway?
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BOUNTY] Monetha | Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: September 02, 2017, 03:17:57 PM
So no reward for those who didn't write 50 posts?
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: August 31, 2017, 08:27:15 PM
I couldn't joined ICO as well because it was too fast!

What about signature campaing anyway? I think I wasn't able to write the minimum amount of posts you required. But this is because ICO ended too early! Can we get at least some stakes for our work?
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin acceptance on: August 25, 2017, 07:36:20 AM
We are still far to reach a massive Bitcoin acceptance in offline stores. That's for several reasons:
- Bitcoin is still unknown for the majority of people
- Bitcoin transactions are too slow
- Bitcoin has becomed more a speculative tool than a payment system
- Merchants get no relevant practical pro in accepting it. Just a little bit of free advertising in the community, but nothing else.

Also, the website which is supposed to pinpoint all the physical stores which accept Bitcoin has never been updated for a while (coinmap.org).
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe offline wallet? on: August 25, 2017, 07:26:52 AM
I know this has been probably asked a million times but I decided to go all in (investment money speaking) on bitcoin so I am looking for a safe wallet.

I have some stored in blockchain digital wallet but want to take it offline just in case. I did use electrum in the past and still considering it.

Electrum is the perfect choice, you already use it in the past and thus you know it, it's simple and safe. You can put it in an USB drive, then send all your money to this new wallet and store it in a safe place. Simple and safe.
