61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoronaCoin More drama, third exit scam and discord deleted on: September 27, 2020, 11:42:58 AM

It is the third time 1 developer exit scams, they are making a new coin for a third time, i also think the developers have another project called Proof of Nature. Be carefull.

Why would someone go and invest in something called a corona coin. I wish people are smart and don't go chasing quick gains and end up losing their money to some scammer.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: September 27, 2020, 11:41:34 AM
Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin today underwent a hot wallet hack, hacker managed to bring in about 157 million dollars, but luckily kucoin cold wallet is safe and all hacked funds will be completely replaced by kucoin.

Once again, cybersecurity is MANDATORY in the current crypto environment

Hacker wallet

It's really sad to see such a huge amount of money getting hacked. But what I see it looks more like a inside job or by some one who has access to hot wallets rather than a hack.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: September 27, 2020, 11:40:10 AM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now
Regarding the subject of airdrop there is a malicious malware circulating in the name of airdrop of wbtc in telegram. Be very careful about it as I heard it will make you delete the account.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any metamask experts? on: September 27, 2020, 11:37:52 AM
If you have already added the eth address to the metamask with the private key loaded then all you need is input the metamask password and you should be able to transfer the funds .
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AERGO. The opportunity of a lifetime. on: September 26, 2020, 11:08:30 AM
I just went through the Aergo project and its partnerships it does look very promising . The area of concern is when we will see the partnership available and using the mainnet. I am very hopeful of this project but this bull run looks like its too early for Aergo. Hopefully it is matured by the time of the next bullrun.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the future development direction and mode of DeFi Lending? on: September 26, 2020, 11:05:08 AM
I think most of the DEFI projects are solely concentrating on staking ,locking up the coins create a supply crunch and pushing the price high. I am not saying all projects are doing this but projects doing this definitely need to evolve in the long term.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bloody market on: September 26, 2020, 11:01:48 AM
Every crypto veteran is used of these kind of sudden price movements, but it still hurts a bit to witness it over and over again, I am not gonna lie. If you are here for the long run, you should learn how not to be phased when those fluctuations happen as this will relieve your stress levels and you will consequentially survive in this space for much longer.

yeah it does. The  up and down cycles are part of the market and I have got used to it. AFter all we are still in the game when bitcoin went from 20k to 4k . I hope that its part of chance to load up more in the projects you believe in for the long term.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Tutorial] What is the Liquidity Pool? on: September 26, 2020, 10:58:31 AM
So when proportions in the network are changing (f.e. due to price change on CEX and arbitrage traders or large orders directly on swaps) algo is changing price to compensate this. So if I get this correct fallowing scenario is possible on high volatile coins:

1 ETH and 400 USDT (1 ETH is worth 400$ - total 800$)

ETH pumps x4 in short term ( lets say 4 weeks)

0.25 ETH and 400 USDT (1 ETH is worth 1600$ - total 800$ + small profit from fees)

So if I evaluate my wallet in USD (i'm looking for USD gains) than i'm fine (but without LP i would have massive gains intead of few $ from fees) but if I'm a ETH hodler than i'm down 0.75 ETH that i wouldn't be if i just hodl my coins in wallet without engaging in liquidity pool.

Talking about dump instead of pump we get opposite situation.

This leads to the conclusion that liquidity provider is very exposed to price changes and is not as safe as it is presented to masses. Only low volatile pairs like USDT/DAI are safe, but you are exposed to USDT exit scam with whole your wallet (DAI will be dumped to USDT that will become worthless). So if any of 2 stable coins that you have will 0 whole your wallet will zero. That is extra risk that might not be worth taking for 10% annually that in most cases is the actual ROI.

Thank you for explaining this and the op for putting a explanation about Liquidity pools. I swhat you explained called impermenant loss in LP's?
Is there any possibility that we lose value in USDT?
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 51% Attack Against Blockchain of Ethereum Classic (ETC) on: September 25, 2020, 07:18:12 AM
Hijacking via the 51 percent attack on the blockchain is no joke. In fact it happened three times against the Ethereum Classic (ETC) blockchain on July 29 2020, August 1 2020, as well as August 6, 2020.

In the first attack, it was estimated that the perpetrator of the attack managed to double spend as much as 800 thousand ETC (equivalent to US $ 5.6 million). Meanwhile, the attack cost was equivalent to 17.5 BTC (US $ 204,000).

Reporting from Coindesk, Ethermine, Bitfly and Binance mining pools reported the reorganization. According to them all ETC withdrawal and deposit transactions have been suspended, because of the attack.

On Thursday, 6 August 2020, another attack occurred. The value is not yet known. However, with the US $ 23.44 block reward on Ethereum Classic, the attacker will likely have pocketed around US $ 93,760.

I find it really strange that a coin which has market cap so high is susceptible to 51 percent attack. Sure if a coin has a lowe mc and a low hashing power then fine but how can it happen for ETC.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: September 25, 2020, 06:45:38 AM
I look at older projects to invest it which have matured and have a working product. Loon at their initial white paper , look at the team and see if they kept their promises and developed the projects. That would give you a good indicator.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: September 25, 2020, 06:43:08 AM
It certainly looks like 2017 is THE year in crypto as it set the standard as far as market cap is concerned but I feel that the crypto market is evolving now and is more mature . I am still hopeful that we will see a good run in the future .
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: September 25, 2020, 06:39:19 AM
Who among us here have been victims of almost perfect Whitepaper?
Those sublimely well-written, full of excellent ideas and proposals that turned out to be a piece of crap!
Reading whitepaper is not enough to be a basis of investing in crypto because almost everyone can write whatever they want,
they even promise you the Moon and Stars.

So, be careful now in choosing ICOs, as much as possible look for projects that at least have initially implemented the products or services, if not the whole.

Haha. Yeah most projects which gone bust are exactly like this. But white paper is an important thing to analyze along with the team members to judge whether you wanna get into projects or not .
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UniDapp - scam project! on: September 23, 2020, 06:02:17 AM
For every successful project there are 100s of project trying to copycat and ride the wave and do some quick buck . Never follow the project name or the current trend do proper research on the team .
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with 1000% Plus Profits on: September 23, 2020, 06:00:36 AM
Do t know if they get success in long term but the coins like yfi, meme are giving huge returns if bought early ,try to find such coins till yield farming craze don't go away. You can easily make 1000% gains in such coins.

YFIay be not much huge upside possible now as it's already high but may be Meme can still go 10x from here

DYOR though. Also try to find best gems early in Uniswap to get those crazy gains.

Uniswap seems the best gateway to find coins early and get a lot of profit but also be aware that there are too many scam and meme coins getting listed on uniswap and you are supposed to be really cautious.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ∧ Shape In Price on: September 23, 2020, 05:58:46 AM
Have you noticed whether all old cryptocurrencies went through ∧ shape in price?

Will all cryptocurrencies have gone thru this and let people make big profit?

Obviously you are looking at the 2017 bull run of the coins .most of the coins that time were super high and then came down a lot . You can't expect each and every coin to follow it though.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: September 22, 2020, 10:30:23 AM
It's seems many still don't know the importance of social media channels and telegram groups of the coins and tokens they own or promotes

Some hunters and investors lose vital informations like

1. Token swap
2. Smart contract swap
3. Bounty KYC
4. Bounty payout time and date

Many investors and bounty hunters makes this mistakes over and over and later they blame the project team. Just imagine the damages these can create.

While I agree a part of it I don't agree that the token swap or bridge being closed after a certain period. The project should help the investors help swap tokens even if they are late to the scene in my opinion.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: who else think Litecoin will go huge? on: September 22, 2020, 10:27:26 AM
I stopped looking into litecoin right after 2018 when Charlie Lee all his tokens on the community. Why would I want to hold.. something when the creator itself thinks it is better to sell.?
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is on: September 22, 2020, 10:25:02 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering about people's opinions on how safe is In terms of putting largish amount of money in there ($10k+), what is the risk of the service going out of business, or not honoring withdrawals? I.e. what is the risk of another Mt Gox, Mintpal or Cryptsy incident on here?

I can see that it still says "Beta" on the main page, and that it's a Hong Kong outfit. Not sure what kind of financial regulation/overwatch they have over there when it comes to these things.

I guess other little warning bells are that they don't have an easily accessible support link on their user interface (you can however email, or at least I couldn't easily find it.

Is there a safer way (which is still easy and cheap) to park some USD while BTC is going through it's fluctuations?

It is always risky to hold any big amount in exchange even if is USDT which is supposedly backed by real us dollar. Always keep it in a personal wallet and preferably hardware wallet.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the 10 best bounty managers on BTT forum? on: September 22, 2020, 10:22:44 AM

80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: September 22, 2020, 10:21:15 AM
Let's say I have a huge amount of money as an investor, where do I put them? Bitcoin or Gold

We all know that gold is known for its stability which could be vital in times of financial crisis; but doesn't exactly bring good return  WHILE Bitcoin on the other hand can be quite profitable  but it's risk of negative volatility can be catastrophic!

So which has your vote? Gold or Bitcoin!!!!

I think the value of the girl Is very high at the  moment. So I am personally waiting for it to drop a little bit but yeah it is a good idea to keep something invested in gold.for hedging against traditional investments.
