1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people giving up on Bitcoin too quickly? on: October 12, 2020, 03:33:21 AM
These people considered Bitcoin as a tool to get rich quickly. Bitcoin wasn't made for that, they realized it and wanted to give up on the first crypto.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) will complete global expansion into 195 countries by 2021 on: October 02, 2020, 08:47:11 AM
I like ripple the fact that their transaction fees is really really cheap.
And I think that is one major advantage of this coin to be one of the top crypto payment options.
Ripple transaction fees are lower than Bitcoin's ones. At the same time there are no gas or other transaction fees on EOS. I believe EOS is the better DeFi alternative.
3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: MoneyPipe HD Bitcoin Wallet. Reviews, criticism, and suggestions on: October 02, 2020, 08:36:54 AM
I found out there is a build-in exchange. Will I be required to pass any kind of user verification to buy coins? Plus, I'd be nice to see a card buying option.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When we think that crypto is being used by criminals to move tons of money on: October 02, 2020, 08:27:21 AM
Criminals use both cash and Bitcoin for money laundering. Nobody accuses banks of being engaged in illegal transactions, but “BitMEX made itself available as a vehicle for money laundering and sanctions violations”. And why isn't crypto yet adopted? It's a rhetorical question.
5  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: September 20, 2020, 07:43:46 AM
Okay, if I wanted to create a EOS wallet with Ownr, what should I do first?
Open OWNR wallet app and click "add coin" button. Then you can import your existing account or create a new one. Anyway, Ownr has a 24/7 support, they will help you Wink
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: September 20, 2020, 07:30:21 AM
I don't like comparing Ripple to Bitcoin. Both cryptos have their own drawback. XRP was never meant to be another Bitcoin. Ripple’s big bet is that XRP will become a “bridge currency” that many financial institutions use to settle cross-border payments faster and more cheaply than they do now using global payment networks, which can be slow and involve multiple middlemen.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Directory on: September 20, 2020, 07:13:38 AM
You've made the great work. It'd be nice to add the list of reputable desktop wallets on this web.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 13, 2020, 06:13:51 AM
Bitcoin isn't difficult to be understood. One just needs time to do that. There are many worthy books about the fist crypto. For example, "Mastering Bitcoin" by Andreas M. Antonopoulos, "The Book Of Satoshi" by Phil Champagne and "Bitcoin From Beginner to Expert" by Christian Newman.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Ways to Hack Bitcoin on: September 13, 2020, 06:08:49 AM
Actually there are even more ways to hack a Bitcoin wallet. Hackers can impersonate popular crypto companies, so users download a fake crypto wallet. Don't forget about Trojans. They can enter your computer and monitor your behavior, stealing anything that resembles a cryptocurrency private key. and the most common way is publishing fake advertisements.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Startup Nym Will Pay You in Bitcoin to Run Its Mixnet on: September 11, 2020, 08:41:14 AM
I'm not sure that payments will be high, but it's a great way to promote this startup.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now the 6th largest world currency on: September 11, 2020, 08:32:16 AM
Looks exiting! I'm interested what will be when the last Bitcoin is mined.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Pay Could ‘Destroy the Financial System’ on: August 22, 2020, 11:41:04 AM
"Crypto pay could destroy the financial system". That's why instead of fixing the financial system we will ban crypto payments => Russian logic
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggestion for making a video on bitcoin on: August 22, 2020, 11:33:32 AM
It'd be interesting to hear about Bitcoin pedigree and the first digital currencies.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: August 17, 2020, 03:23:45 PM
I guess the main reason for people are withdrawing money isn't lost faith, it's negative interest rate policy. Why would a lender be willing to pay someone to borrow money?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: August 17, 2020, 03:17:36 PM
Do old people really want to know about Bitcoin? Are they really interested in technologies? How could learning about Bitcoin make their lives better?
If need to explain Bitcoin as simple as possible, you can find a lot of videos a kind of "Bitcoin for dummies"
Like this one:
16  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020-2021 best year if You Want to become rich no skills needed on: August 08, 2020, 06:51:36 AM
It's a big misconception. If you want to invest wisely, you need to be skilled and educated, or there is a chance to loose your money.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the need to increase BTC's max supply arise in the future? on: August 08, 2020, 06:44:47 AM
Why do we need to increase the maximum supply? Bitcoin is very dividable, so 21M is enough.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin performance in first half of 2020 on: June 30, 2020, 10:13:07 AM
PoS is more efficient than Pow, as it will solve scalability problem, allowing the network to process more transactions than it can currently handle. Stakeholders will get some benefits too. An investor who locks up the projected minimum of ETH 32, may thus earn $0.82 per day and $297.67 per year as a passive income. Does it mean that ETH will outperform BTC this year?
19  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: May 24, 2020, 03:38:28 AM
I would be glad to use Ownr but my country is not of the your "white list" yet. Fix it, guys..
Oh, I have the same problem. Let's hope that one day OWNR will obtain a license and include the USA in the "white list"
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to answer when asked "Can I make money mining bitcoin?" on: May 24, 2020, 03:14:48 AM
If the answer means "Can I make a lot of money in a short period of time mining Bitcoin?" The answer is "No!".
