Looks like Storj decided to shoot themselves in the foot https://www.reddit.com/r/storj/comments/668zor/storj_sjcx_token_migration_plan_pt_1/Read the comments there. Greedy f'cks like AMP guys. And same crowdsale BS where they manipulate the price of the market as what ever they like, desentralized MY ASS. In May crowdsale they are gonna offer storjx coins for the lower price than the current price and therefor make anyone who is now paying 20k+ satoshies for the coin a FOOL. Think the key difference is that AMP doesn't have a top level product. They don't have an existing $20-30B market of cloud storage that they can capture and bring into the ecosystem. That is the point of this exercise. |

I just recently install a farming node for storjcoin . I had specified a counterparty address but the recent development with Storj rumored to be transferring to Ethereum platform makes me wonder how it would affect my farming host. Would it matter? or just wait for further instructions?
Since the migration has not happened yet you don't have to worry. They will be transferred 1:1 when the migration happens. |

Create counterparty wallet, add that address to Storjshare, start renting. How long should it run to see at least some form of payment? Payouts are done once a month. If you keep your computer on 24/7 for a month and share for example 500G of your hard drive, you will see some form of payment.  Does Storjcoin X (SJCX) had a profit calculator so we'll know if it is really profitable to mine Storj,it's other competitor although different in algo Burstcoin had their own profit calculator so you'll know your profit on the number of gigs you allocated . There is no profit calculator. The amount of rewards have multiple factors. The amount of data you are storing, your network speed, your online time. IIRC it's been something like 2USD/TB/MONTH but I can't confirm. 2USD/TB/MONTH ? not profitable if you are going to run your computer 24/7 for one month,I have not seen anyone posting here their payout maybe it's because it's not really attractive to mine this coin compare to Burst whose price is increasing. I know that is not correct. |

how do you see storj progress vs progress of MAID ?
and in relation to above generally releasing software that is ready to be released means death to that software.
You have to release something, and make it modular enough for the rest later.
StorJ did a great job. Their software is focused on data storage as the name implies. Maidsafe tries to be broader than storage alone. It also includes "namecoin" in the way of their DNS. It will also include "Safecoin" where we're not limited to the 7 transactions per second like Bitcoin has. With StorJ you need to create an account on their website. Maidsafe lets you create an account on the network and even they don't know that you made it. Thanks for the vote of confidence |
