521  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Are we ready to change the world? Chain'o'cracy on: March 03, 2019, 09:16:57 AM
One idea is simply issue a private key and address pair to each citizen like an ID
That's seem like the best idea however my issue with it is that it generates costs. Those freshly generated keys would have to be transferred to end users somehow, paper form by snail-mail? Probably would work but imagine the cost and time necessary for all the letters to be delivered, some additional problems are also in place, for example sending letters of state borders.

That's why I tried to think of something electronic only, generated on citizens devices alone, with few keyboard strokes.
The database in my idea is used as a temporary seed for the private key. Generated address and private key are stored only on citizen's device.
You are right that database is centralized but that's the only thing that is. Voting and votes counting is done through decentralised nodes and miners. IMO without centralised "seed" database, this has zero chances for being accepted by governments.

Thanks for your expressing your opinion and valid concerns.
522  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: March 02, 2019, 05:11:18 PM
You sure about that because I don't want to deal with unsecured site.

I think freebitcoin doesn't give any bitcoin. faucet doesn't work as before. It only takes your time. Unnecessary ,be carefull and no deposit

What about this comment here

What do you say about that  Huh

It never failed me in terms of payout, it has two factor authorisation, even more than 2fa because you can provide them with your mobile phone number, just in case you loose the 2fa device. I think hasyurt was referring to the fact that faucet pays smaller amount of bitcoins than few years back. Nothing surprising as btc price went up. I can assure you it will give you some tiny profit.
And when you use the service in the link I provided you with, those profits will be about 25-30% bigger.
Bear in mind that this is still a faucet so expect it work just like one Smiley
O, and few months back I won 20bucks with them, so higher tier rewards are possible.
523  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: March 02, 2019, 04:17:07 PM
Is this real? I have hardly believed on faucets in general, not even for bitcoin. Now that I have read your comment, I will give it a shot and hope I will be safe with my adventure because I'm not use to it. I hope I have a good luck.
Yes, it is very real. If you want to join than check this link out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2914435.0
Might be more interesting than you think, it's the best offer you will ever get regarding freebitco.
As to safety concerns, if you follow all the basic steps for online security, you have nothing to be worry about.
Most stable faucet ever.

524  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Are we ready to change the world? Chain'o'cracy on: March 02, 2019, 02:43:18 PM
I'm waiting forward to see how the whitepaper will look, it's clear that the project is not only a "joke" for you.I like how clean and smooth you managed to create the website.
A whole brand new innovation. Good start up though, buy take it bit by bit, expert a million failures but never give up. Cos success comes with persistence in the midst of failures. With goodwill and determined spirit, hardworking and sincerity, u will make it
Thanks for encouraging and motivational words guys, appreciated.
As to small steps method, I think I'm getting there slowly but surely. I have secured github account for this project, it's empty as of yet so don't bother to click through it. It's just to take the account name before anyone else does etc.
White paper however may be a little troubling for now, I never done it before so some learning must be done prior.
Worst thing is I have no idea how to describe all the mathematical problems... could use some help on this stage already Embarrassed
Nevertheless, I will try to pursue the idea for as long as possible. There's this voting system online, obviously monetised with rent-ish business model :[  shame.
525  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win one bitcoin on: March 02, 2019, 12:01:35 PM
It's true that the transaction is visible in the entire network, thanks to blockchain. But how can we be so sure that the winning address is from the real winner and not the others address. Well I think the answer is too damn obvious. Geez.
Online lottery don't have future, it will just make it oddly.
You're right, this is just to damn obvious how impossible it is to win that 1bitcoin.
Although I really like how this site is designed and executed. Idea of giving this small adversing space is actually pretty awesome.
And yet, tickets are to expensive, house makes to much BTC for just one round, waiting times are horribly long and with the price of tickets growing it will possibly never reach drawing phase. In overall, this looks shady to say the lest.
Slowly but surely, lottery is becoming a thing of the past.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Announcement on: March 02, 2019, 10:58:45 AM
That's a good news and that will be a stable coin that will be backed by something. As far as i know facebook has already talked with exchange site regarding to list its cryptocurrency. That's a good news for us. but this coin will be used for What's App.
If by something you mean censorship endorsing platform, infiltrated by various secret services, directly aimed at extracting personal information and international trade with these info than, this is truly something great and valuable.
Let's face it, this Moloch of a company is at it's ends and those are the last years of this ridiculous trend.
IMO this coin is way, way to late to actually mean something.
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The longer you play poker the better you become ? on: March 01, 2019, 03:19:32 PM
What do you think can be a consistent winning player on this game? is this game of skills or luck?
the longer you play more skills you get?
I think if in poker, luck and skill is needed. Because sometime we need to get really good card to win the game even it use our skill to do that. But biggest reason to win match is if we have  really good card and win easily.
Poker itself is in my opinion a game of skill, luck is important however secondary.
The thing is that online poker is yet another beast. Completely different experience and set of skills is needed, mostly because there is no "physical contact" between players. Online it is the skill that is secondary and luck takes over the lead.
Without question, experience and skills will make you sit a bit longer by the virtual and real table.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What new categories of bounty would you like to see? on: March 01, 2019, 10:48:00 AM
The only thing I really would like to see is that today most of the people from the bounty hunters get nothing. This is very terrible. I would like our rights to be protected. I hope that in the future someone will do something that will give us the opportunity to improve the situation.
The simplest solution would be to use well established coins, like bitcoin as a rewarding system. I would rather go for a tiny bounty in bitcoin than vague promises of high profits in tokens.

As to new ideas in mass promotion, maybe any mention like; profile photo, profile description, links in instant communicators could get rewarded as well? Sometimes a communicator gives users an option to set up their status, for others to see. This could be useful for promotional campaigns.
My second thought is physical advertisement. Things like bumper-stickers, small road side banners, T-shirts (even hand drawn). A little hard to track but hey, cameras are everywhere these days.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee is crypto man of the year on: March 01, 2019, 09:38:40 AM
-snip-
So what McAfee does is harmful to crypto. But anyway, good, in the long run. So altcoins lose money and he gets to buy more Bitcoin!
Haha not sure if giving kind look on people who's actions make others invest poorly, is acceptable or necessary.
But there is some truth in your words, no doubt this person behaviour is somewhat influential, whatever positive or harmful is a different question. For me this man is absolutely untrusted. I perceive him as a crypto-charlatan of the year, that's for sure.
He has this bigshot computer guru manner and like with all shells, it is only external, a show and simulation. In one word, he is fake as fuk.
530  Economy / Reputation / Re: Community opinion on Signature campaign spreadsheets on: March 01, 2019, 09:20:22 AM
I have voted ''yes'' and here is why;
Looking through publicly available sheet gives option to check other people post quality up.
There are usually links to members profile, so I can easily access history of theirs and spy on them  Grin
Obviously not for entertainment reasons but rather to expose horrible posters to manager.
As you may know, some of the managers can gratify the spotter, even if it's only with merit point, I think it's worth the trouble.
So far I did what I just described twice, as most of the time I struggle with remorse for acting like a rat...
If not overused, informing may prove itself useful, not only for the manager himself.
531  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Are we ready to change the world? Chain'o'cracy on: February 28, 2019, 07:25:39 PM
It is a good initiative but as I said it has to be done at a small scale first to see what impact is gonna have to the community, how everybody will react to it.If we manage to gather a hand of people I will sacrifice a good period of my free time for it.
Thanks in advance. I have added first link to the website.
It's DNS servers haven't propagated yet, so the address is a little strange for now.
chainocracy.tk should be reachable in few hours, it's on a free hosting unfortunately ;/ but it should suffice for now.
Let me know what you think, nothing fancy though I was aiming to look kinda pro and clean.
Now it's time for whitepaper :0)
532  Bitcoin / Project Development / Are we ready to change the world? Chain'o'cracy on: February 27, 2019, 02:00:49 PM
Chain'o'cracy - blockchain based, direct election and referendum system - project phase: the idea is forming
note: this is meant to be a pro-publico-bono project

The following idea must be attempted and completed at some point for our own sake. It is inevitable as the whole world is waiting breathless, are you ready to become a part of history? Nothing except splendour, recognition and appreciation is to gain here. If you're solely after the money, please look somewhere else, as this project is designed for greater good.
Have you ever imagined, how the world would look if true, direct, trust-less democracy idea was possible? Like in the classical era of it's(democracy) invention, where every citizen was able to influence politics. The idea "they" fear the most. no more representatives, no expensive elections every few years, end to lavish election campaigns and all the waste they produce, no more corruptible, venal, lobbed politicians, only real votes by real citizens - thanks to blockchain ledger.
The sketch for this system: Whole 'o' package should consists of one executable installer. Think of it as a wallet-like program, preferably available for Android and Linux terminals. Application should consists of three modules; government, citizen and press(miner). Gov. mode needs to be ready to accommodate the database(updatable but only up, no deletion option¹) of all citizens, with social-security numbers, names and unique feature like, the amount of tax return in past year etc. Encrypted database is used as the source for creating accounts(addresses) in citizen mode. No fake accounts possibility but results of the voting have to be anonymous. Mining difficulty should be set as low as possible and fixed, in order to allow low spec computers to participate in the network². Mining(press) mode should be available for everybody, making it incentivising for media platforms to run a miner in order to have all the referendum scores in real time and up to date. Votes(coins - votons) gathered by miners and in gov. account, should be redistributed among citizens accounts at the end of election phase. The same coins³ in circulation, pre-minted in gov. mode, based of citizen database size(amount of people).

¹Dead people conundrum; giving option to delete accounts from db, makes in to big trust issues, votes of citizens who died may happen, how to prevent such event while maintaining anonymity? (this problem is also in existence today)
²Security through pre minted hash as all coins are known, no new unauthorised votes are possible and the amount has to be fixed at 50(example) coins per account per year, to prevent "legislative diarrhea" (to many laws).
³Possibility for running out of votes exists! You have to be smart not to waste votons on bad legislature otherwise you will be left voiceless in your community for a year, or any particular period set by the state.
⁴Public forum will be necessary for posting documents, in read only mode through www. Preferably decentralised, in the cloud, devised in to language and basic topics sections, one agora for the entire world!

Once again I ask all bitcointalkers of good will, can you help? Can you devote your free time, mind and skills? We can built it together, we have the technology! I'm just a man with a plan, obviously lacking in technical know how, if I could make it alone, I would but this have to be made complete and working from "day one", translated to all possible languages and tested... it's to big of a deal for one person. The idea is not perfect, I know but by planting this seed, I hope for something incredible to grow from it. It is the long awaited "power to the people", blueprint for global liberation.

Immediate critique:

-This is nwo technocracy!
No, if we could implement system for administrating law ideas, signed with 1voton. Everyone would be entitled to submit his proposals this way⁴. If another citizen recognises it as a good idea, he can upvote it with his voton and so on. Multiply signed papers, let say 9001votons, would be treated as lawful documents and have to be queued for voting at some point, automatically so no paper review by any officials is necessary. Think of votons as post stamps.
-People will vote themselves in to communism!
Like they not doing it right now... well they do, because this virus has infested the collective(yuck) mind. 'o' has the chance for sweep this slate clean. Such danger obviously exist and a systematic countermeasure may be necessary[?].
-Votons have value, they will be traded!
No, because citizen to citizen transactions are not possible, only citizen->gov.pool
-It's to radical, no one will use it!
One word, bitcoin. In two worlds, built it and they will come.
-You just want to get famous poptok1!
If any one likes to take over, then be my guest but if you somehow crook the idea for your own benefit... "then I will find you, and I will..." go full Liam Neeson on you. Yesterday I talked about this idea with HBKMusiK, I told him that this so huge that I'm actually scared of it. To be honest I would gladly move away myself in to e-shadows.

533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Somehow tired of bounty/airdrop (share your story on this thread) on: February 26, 2019, 09:03:55 PM
-snip-
I took me a lot of time to complete all the bounties but now I realized that maybe is was not in vain.I learned a lot from this experience about smart contracts, exchanges, partnerships and so on and I'm thinking to start my own community token project. This idea was stuck in my mind for a long time, is there somebody that would like to be the team of a new cryptocurrency, we can share ideas, plan the development, I would love to know what you are looking mainly in a community coin.I want to start everything from scraps since I don't have a huge amount of money, I'm thinking to distribute a huge percent of it to the community and create it with a voting system(the users can decide what is the future of the token) if somebody is interested or have any opinion about it please reply in the thread or contact me in pm.
I'm glad you looking at it this way and you are right, there was quite a lot to be learned.
For quite some time I was also thinking about starting a project of my own but I gave up the idea, something else started to bake my noodle. Something far greater and possibly more important as an overall. In fact this is so huge, that I'm kinda scared of it. However it must be done, sooner or later it simply has to be attempted and hopefully completed. It is the open, secured, pro-publico-bono on chain election system. Chain'o'cracy. True democracy powered by blockchain.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Somehow tired of bounty/airdrop (share your story on this thread) on: February 26, 2019, 07:17:10 PM
-snip- I have a friend who nearly made half a million of dollars by doing multiple bounties throughout that year.
Nearly made..., meaning he did or almost did?  Grin
Sorry for being fussy but I simply cant believe these stories, moreover during 2017. Worst year ever.
OP is the best example, seven hundred projects and only few proved to be something useful, only this small percentage was profitable for him and think how much time it took. Most likely it wasn't worth the trouble, quite significant portion of his life wasted on stupid, spammy telegram groups, chats etc. I have very similar experience, only my sample group is much smaller.
Some hope was put in to KYC, it was believed that it can change something, that dumpers will become less likely to "infest" bounty groups, it obviously failed and nothing has changed. Probably never will but I truly want to be wrong.
535  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: February 25, 2019, 08:06:21 PM
There was this new pop-up banner after the free rolls, today around noon.
Now it's gone, same old blue one is what's showing up. What was that all about?
Hope I didn't miss some awesome, secret, ultra-click gimmick to win MASSIVE cash  Cheesy
Anyway, I got this impression that new UI tests where performed, before actual change happens.
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best new way to pay with Bitcoin on: February 25, 2019, 04:20:36 PM
Am I the only one who was thinking Samsung adding crypto support on their new smartphone it just for marketing strategies to make whales or crypto-community interest to buy this smartphone so it can increase their sales. I know Samsung Galaxy S10 is an awesome smartphone but I think S10 is just minor upgrade from Galaxy S9...
Nope, you are not alone with this assumption. I also have this impression, that this only a publicity stunt.
I would say that this is 3-4 years to late to make the proper impression however it is better late that never.
Let's hope that other will follow, not only with realising vanilla software but supporting the adoption by hardware solutions.
Cash registers, various shopping equipment, even trolleys and scanners are manufactured by Samsung, they will have to make all those cryptocurrency friendly, in order to persuade me in to believing that they also believe. One swallow doesn't make a summer.
As to upgrades level comparison, looks like we technologically stuck for quite a while now. They have to come up with at least some original software ideas.
537  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin tries to do the impossible on: February 25, 2019, 12:50:34 PM
Rumors are nothing more then just that- rumors.
The amount of 4000$ threads that were started because people thought we were entering a bull market is astounding.
I guess it's a matter of imagination. There is the barrier, the competitor and the crowd cheering.
Competitor readies himself for the jump, audience is making appreciative noise, obstacle falls and everybody is happy.
We saw just that but with a twist and with reverse gear action... imagination was stimulated, for literally few minutes though.
Now the audience is back to its seats and observing patiently, awaiting another world record attack. In the meantime they chat.
What else they can do? IMO nothing bad and out of the ordinary, there will be more.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The worst story continues again. on: February 25, 2019, 11:42:48 AM
Unfortunately the market is still very unstable and unpredictable. We are not yet on the bullish market and such dumps will happen again. The great news is that the volatility is back and if the market can lose 10 percent within a day, it can raise for 30 percent within several hours.
I would say it very stable, we have basically returned to previous, established balance.
Unpredictable part of course is true, but isn't it more interesting this way? At least there is no such thing as stagnation.
Brief volatility moments keep us entertained, but overall "fixed" prices are in our or rather cryptocurrency's favour, I think.
I would be willing to see more and more adoption, thanks to market being equalized around 4K, than to see gradual growth in value alone, without infrastructure.
539  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BitcoinVideoCasino Signature Campaign |Member-Hero/Leg| Earn Up To 0.007 on: February 25, 2019, 11:24:38 AM
Just so you guys know, our manager was banned for 7 days, yesterday evening.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5113844.msg49901176#msg49901176
No need to panic but bear in mind that no contact with the manager will be possible, during those 7 days.
TLDR: banned due to self promotional PM's over-sending, our payments remain unaffected.

540  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: how to start electrum after python install on: February 24, 2019, 09:56:21 PM
Code:
stephen@stephen-ideapad:~$ python3 electrum
python3: can't open file 'electrum': [Errno 2] No such file or directory

anyway, I found it if you read my top message, but it still fails on line 53. sloppy packaging by the devs.
No no, you probably lacking some dependencies, ubuntu can be problematic sometimes.
You may want to check this thread, that is actually for older ubuntu but if you follow the instructions, it should be fine.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2392090.0 I bet its the pip3 thingy you are missing as its not coming as standard python3 install.
Edit: https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-install-bitcoin-wallet-on-ubuntu-18-04-bionic-beaver-linux more in depth guide for you.
FYI electrum works out of the box under Debian Grin if you are not attached, I suggest a switch to the better system :_p
