I would personally suggest trying to push for more "clean" and legal ideas (as in not gambling or other grey-market things).
Bitcoin needs more press and publicity for legit non-sketchy things. It doesnt really need any more of a reputation for being a drug and gambling currency if our end game is to get larger mainstream usage down the road.
My thoughts exactly. Sometimes I feel like BTC's worst enemy is its own user base. Agreed, I think Bitcoin is used in to many illegal things. Such as gambling and SR.

People would simply steal their own coins and claim they were hacked, or ripped off. It would never work.

A good website that contains nearly all places that accept Bitcoins is bitcoins to charity. I used them once before only made a small donation of .5 to Wikileaks after learning visa and paypal blocked transactions

Its shocking to see just how much money has been scammed off Bitcoin users in its short lifetime.

Explain to them the beuty of anonimity and instant transactions, then tell them like any other currency it has its sum of criminals.

I did list that thread in the OP since his request fit the typical scammer template. However it's going to be a stretch to label him a scammer since nothing was lost, and I really wasn't expecting anything to be in the first place (see post #11 in that thread). New accounts lending to new accounts often have an unusually high rate of success. OP fits the description of a idiot. Posting my legit BTC loan on your scammer thread? Something you and some other retards of this forum need to understand SouthernComfort IS NOT ME. This accusation was put against me because we did not use the address in my signature. I HAVE MULTIPLE ADDRESSES. .. .. .. Understand now?

January 14, 2013, 10:19:39 AM January 14, 2013, 10:22:42 AM Yeah, and are you saying that you found this thread, PM'ed him and got his reply in 3 minutes too? LOL - No, it's even better than that: HE TIME-JUMPED INTO THE PAST! Check out the 2 addresses on this transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/7284cc6fd87a33ab84c25686e5d5d93d0ad01d740f72139e40bba4a62863a818Hint: One is in the OP's sig, the other is the "lenders" repayment address... 3 DAYS BEFORE THE LOAN REQUEST. Sloppiest scam attempt in a while. LOL, I made a payment because we have done business before regarding a moneypak. We are NOT the same person you guys are paranoid to hell.
