Try starting with YACMiner instead - it's designed to mine scrypt-chacha coins (aka scrypt jane) git clone https://github.com/Thirtybird/YACMinerthen in that directory, run ./autogen.sh make strip yacminer done. Thanks for tip, Yacminer compiled fine. But seems like it requires another setting, these below are giving only rejects and worked on cgminer-3.7.2 sjane. I have r9 270 gigabyte. "failover-only" : true, "scrypt-jane" : true, "sj-nfmin" : "4", "sj-nfmax" : "30", "sj-time" : "1388361600", "api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1", "api-listen" : true, "auto-fan" : true, "gpu-fan" : "30-75", "work-size" : "256", "gpu-threads" : "1", "gpu-engine" : "1129", "gpu-memclock" : "1475", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "thread-concurrency" : "27000", "intensity" : "17", "temp-target" : "75", "temp-overheat" : "85", "temp-cutoff" : "90", "queue" : "0", "scan-time" : "1", "expiry" : "1", "lookup-gap" : "2", "no-submit-stale" : true

Too slow to download cryptoslax from main website. Getting 20 - 50 kb/s. Nice to see some mega.cz uploads alternative or the best is to have torrent file.

For ppl asking for 270x and 290 miner .bat or .conf
I use -g 2, --gpu-threads 1, I 18 and look gap 2 for both cards. tc 270x 25984 tc 290 i use 51968 running for 4 days straight, but anything over 42000 works for a few hours but crashes for me. 12gb ram allows high tc like 51968.
270x 90kh 1150/1466 290 170kh 1050/1470
minimal/no rejects, no HW
Are you sure you can use -g 2 on 270x ?? I tried it but it gives me HW errors and runs very slow. I can only run it at -g 1 I get a steady 93-94 kh/s with 0 HW errors on my 270X cards. Never crash. I will post my config file (again) if anyone is interested. Yes, sure I need it! But i have non-x 270, anyway it should be approx. the same. BTW my stat shows when mining on leetpool http://simplest-image-hosting.net/png-0-uuuuuuuuuuuu31122-1920x1080-scrot I'm in doubt regarding stale share, think it bit more than normal. Pool website showing around 150 kHs mining speed (2x270). Setting "failover-only" : true, "scrypt-jane" : true, "sj-nfmin" : "4", "sj-nfmax" : "30", "sj-time" : "1388361600", "api-allow" : "127.0.0.1", "api-listen" : true, "auto-fan" : true, "gpu-fan" : "30-75", "work-size" : "256", "gpu-threads" : "1", "gpu-engine" : "1150", "gpu-memclock" : "1500", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "thread-concurrency" : "27000", "intensity" : "17", "temp-target" : "75", "temp-overheat" : "85", "temp-cutoff" : "90", "queue" : "0", "scan-time" : "1", "expiry" : "1", "lookup-gap" : "2", "no-submit-stale" : true

And for R9 270 good config, please Try ultracoinminer -o ultra.leetpools.com:3333 --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 --thread-concurrency 42000 -I 18 -g 1 -w 256 --temp-cutoff 90 --gpu-fan 30-75 --gpu-engine 1000,1000,1000 --temp-overheat 75 --lookup-gap 2 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale --scan-time 1
And come mine on leetpools with all the cool people. Thanks, but not accepting so high TC(42000), reduced to 24000. My settings on BAMT 1.3 as follows. At it giving 85-90 khash on 270 gigabyte. "failover-only" : true, "scrypt-jane" : true, "sj-nfmin" : "4", "sj-nfmax" : "30", "sj-time" : "1388361600", "api-allow" : "127.0.0.1", "api-listen" : true, "auto-fan" : true, "gpu-fan" : "30-75", "work-size" : "256", "gpu-threads" : "1", "gpu-engine" : "1000", "gpu-memclock" : "1480", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "thread-concurrency" : "24000", "intensity" : "18", "temp-target" : "75", "temp-overheat" : "85", "temp-cutoff" : "90", "queue" : "0", "scan-time" : "1", "expiry" : "1", "lookup-gap" : "2", "no-submit-stale" : true

And for R9 270 good config, please

Guys, help please with cgminer config for ultra. R9 270 Gigabyte cards. Tried such settings, but doesn't works. BAMT 1.3 cgminer from first post. "intensity" : "12", "vectors" : "1", "worksize" : "512", "kernel" : "scrypt-jane", "failover-only" : true, "auto-fan" : true, "temp-cutoff" : "85", "temp-overheat" : "80", "temp-target" : "75", "expiry" : "30", "log" : "5", "queue" : "1", "retry-pause" : "5", "scan-time" : "60", "scrypt-jane" : true, "sj-nfmin" : "4", "sj-nfmax" : "30", "sj-time" : "1388361600", "temp-hysteresis" : "3", "shaders" : "2816", "thread-concurrency" : "6333", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "gpu-thread" : "1", "sharethreads" : "32", "lookup-gap" : "2", "gpu-engine" : "940", "gpu-memclock" : "1500"

somehow you need to run vertminer on terminal that is started inside X session, otherwhise it wont detect GPU or no GPU temperature info available, on 3.1.1 beta there are terminal session that auto executed inside X session, you can attach to this terminal and start your miner, try "screen -x xterminal" or something
Thanks, it works as you said screen -x 3240.vertminer
But i also need a way to start and restart vertminer via terminal, is it possible ? Doing this in normal way - I go login in VNC X session, then press Q on running vertminer terminal, then click on vertminer icon. Too lot actions. UPD. I got it how to run simple app on Xscreen, for example ssh -X root@192.168.1.101 DISPLAY=:0 xterm
So it will start xterm on xServer, but if i try to run vertminer ssh -X root@192.168.1.101 DISPLAY=:0 /opt/miners/vertminer/start-session.sh root@192.168.1.101's password: X11 forwarding request failed on channel 0 Must be connected to a terminal. No screen session found.
UPD2. I manage to get vertminer and cgminer started from terminal by modifying startup file #!/bin/sh export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 cd /opt/miners/vertminer screen -d -m -S vertminer /opt/miners/vertminer/vertminer -c /opt/miners/vertminer/mining.conf
But here is one caveat, vertminer/cgminer started in such way don't show GPUs temps and fan speed. [P]ool management [G]PU management [S]ettings [D]isplay options [Q]uit GPU 0: | 117.3K/196.6Kh/s | A:1152 R: 0 HW:1 WU:214.4/m I:18 GPU 1: | 115.3K/196.6Kh/s | A:1152 R:64 HW:0 WU:204.3/m I:18

uray, Thanks for recent update, autostart feature works great. I got two questions: 1. How may i run vertminer (GPU) when connected via SSH ? Direct run just don't detects any GPU. 2. I saw that vertminer link points to /opt/miners/vertminer/start-session.sh, but it works only if run it inside X session not ssh, why so ?
Also it is good to add some gpumon/viewgpu stat as BAMT has, so it will be easy to parse miners state via terminal.

Why if start vertminer GPU from terminal getting error that GPU not available ? But if i start from Slax menu it working and mining ? I tried also run /opt/miners/vertminer/start-sessions.sh and /opt/miners/vertminer/start.sh - same error. How actually may I run vertminer in terminal and detach screen as in BAMT ?

Is someone tried vertminer 0.5.4pre2 with comes with cryptoslax? I'm trying to set Gigabyte R9 270 on it. Which settings could be good, or better use older 0.5.2 ? These settings giving 215 Khs and 185 WU. I think WU could be much better on this cards. "intensity" : "19", "vectors" : "1", "worksize" : "256", "kernel" : "scrypt", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "12290", "gpu-engine" : "1000", "gpu-fan" : "60-100", "gpu-memclock" : "1500", "gpu-memdiff" : "0", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "gpu-vddc" : "1.100", "temp-cutoff" : "100", "temp-overheat" : "95", "temp-target" : "90", "api-mcast-port" : "4028", "api-port" : "4028", "auto-fan" : true, "expiry" : "120", "gpu-dyninterval" : "7", "gpu-platform" : "0", "gpu-threads" : "1", "hotplug" : "5", "log" : "5", "no-pool-disable" : true, "queue" : "1", "scan-time" : "30", "nscrypt" : true, "temp-hysteresis" : "3", "shares" : "0",

I want to share my bash script for controlling mining servers running on BAMT 1.3/1.5/1.6 or SMOS Linux (optionally PIMP). It may control any number of mining servers. It is preferably to run it against BAMT 1.6 servers as script already included easy function to quickly switch over mining software e.g. cgminer/sgminer/vertminer. Also it is possible to add your own custom compiled miner and switch to it within menu. Tested on Lubuntu 13.10 and on any Debian based distros should work out of box, also it may run on any Linux distro with small modifications. Big thanks to RLutzi used part of his code for cron section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=490840.msg5409109#msg5409109List of features:-Power of secured SSH connection (use only SSH) -Fully interactive menu -Email notification when mining failed -Unlimited number of mining servers -Automatically adds non-password authentication -Custom colors for menus and messages -Reboot selected miner or all together -View/Edit pool config for selected miner -Switch over between 4 included mining software in BAMT 1.6 + 2 custom -Real-time monitoring for all servers in one window -Cron task to periodically control and reboot dead/sick/idle mining servers Initial setup1. Download script to any folder 2. Make script executable chmod +x mine.sh 3. Edit mining servers IP in script body. Also configure pools 4. Launch script ./mine.sh 5. Set up non-password authentication. Press 6 (Configure mining server SSH authentication)and proceed to further instructions. 6. All done. You may back to menu and choose desired option. (Optional) 7. If you would like to setup cron job then you need to run script with cron parameter. For example to test mining servers every 20 minutes add line to crontab. */20 * * * * /root/mine.sh cron 8. Enable email notifications, set notify="YES" and enter email details. Then while running cron task script will perform checks and if mining failed you will get email. Also at any time you may send mining logs from all miners to defined email, this option available within main menu. How to add your custom miner. As an example explained how to add YACminer.1. Copy or compile yacminer in /opt/miners 2. Change directory to /opt/miners/YACminer and rename yacminer binary to cgminer. Make sure it has executable flag "x" if not do chmod +x cgminer 3. Rename /opt/miners/YACminer to /opt/miners/custom 4. Create yacminer configuration file /etc/bamt/custom.conf (Pools and miner settings) 5. Run bamt.sh and choose "Change mining software.." from the menu then in next submenu choose "custom" 6. That's it. Yacminer now default mining software. Mining process will restart automatically. Note: In same way you may add custom1 miner, but make sure to keep these names /opt/miners/custom1 and /etc/bamt/custom1.conf Please let me know if you found any bugs or want to suggest something. Ok, let me also know if you tweak settings to get 470 kH/s. We have same cards it should work for us in same way. BTW i'm using SMOS 1.3 Linux.

Try following, but these generating 460 Kh/s, for same R9 270 Gigabyte. GPUs run stable for 3 days non-stop, but also want to squeeze at least 470 "api-listen" : true, "intensity" : "20,20,20", "vectors" : "1", "worksize" : "256", "kernel" : "scrypt", "auto-fan" : true, "temp-cutoff" : "85", "temp-overheat" : "80", "temp-target" : "70", "expiry" : "10", "gpu-dyninterval" : "7", "log" : "5", "queue" : "0", "retry-pause" : "5", "scan-time" : "5", "scrypt" : true, "temp-hysteresis" : "3", "shares" : "0", "shaders" : "1792", "thread-concurrency" : "16000", "gpu-thread" : "1", "gpu-engine" : "1075,1075,1075", "sharethreads" : "32", "lookup-gap" : "2", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "gpu-memclock" : "1250,1250,1250"
