Vericoin is like a girl with loose morals who has dated ever guy in school and now is to be discarded like the crack hoe that she is My first play in the exciting and volatile world of P&D... its been a learning XP & a profitable one  I feel lucky to have come out alive and in profit...its been exicting and fun to say the least To think that the devs are not somehow involved in this POS bullshit borders on a joke... Lets see how long they support this coin after its been pumped more times than a crack whore bye bye VERI(P&D)COIN  While being sad to read a hero member write such a post, will not discourage me and most of the VRC investors, which still trust in the enormous effort that the devs are doing and its advancements. In the probable case that is just FUD for getting cheap coins before the FIAT in wallet implementation and the ATMs addition bubble, is it really worth the profit to hurt your reputation like that? Like others are saying (here and in other media) thanks for the cheap coins... Eth. FUD...get real ...Crypto used to mean something more than ...P&D quick riches with ever more ripp off POS coins (at least teh scams where straight up PONZI's ...lolz) Honestly...POS ....and all of the trading at losses ..like yeah right Who got all the coins at 1k because they are so totally dumping them in ever more lower highs Its a rigged game and as I said day trading it was fun but i feel sorry for the not so XP people who believe all the media bullshit.....once all the P&D is over and lets see how long the devs put the effort into continued support of teh coin Time will tell...aka BC I hope I am wrong  |

I have a few questions regarding the Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF and its effect on price. I keep reading that it will make skyrocket the price of bitcoin. However, I don't see how. Let me explain:
As far as I know the Winklevoss ETF consists on putting on the market shares representing the value of the bitcoins held by the twins. Let's say they have 100.000 BTC and they will create 1.000.000 shares (hypothetical numbers). I would expect that the price of each share would be calculated according to the price of BTC at the moment of the IPO. Afterwards, the price of the shares would change depending on supply/demand. How can this supply/demand of the shares affect the price of bitcoin in markets like Bitstamp/Huobi/etc? If the Bitcoins held by the brothers are not sold or they don't buy more, how can it affect the price?
The way that I understand it is that the price of the shares will be highly influenced by the value of bitcoin, but not the other way around!
Am I missing something? Otherwise, just let me know how the shares can affect the price of BTC.

As people said, they'd eventually buy more. But I actually think the effect it will have will be more undirect: a big name like the Winklevoss will make other big Wallstreet investors aware and more likely to trust bitcoin. AN ETF is a regulated instrument ....@ a certain tipping point ratio they MUST buy more ...otherwise they are in breach and it can be wound up etc |

BTW without pumpers and dumpers did coin would have 3 btc volume , just look the last 30min dead TRADING on VRC on mintpal, now how can the coin ""make"" or "break" DRK without pumpers??? simply it cant . so everyone has too get use to it IE, FONTAS and others are part of the eco-system for good.
As i said i am fine with Pump & Dump ..i have been around for more than the last 5 mins in this game What i am not fine with is trying to compete with a situation that can trade at a loss..as there cost base is negligible Is this the case with the current state of affairs ?? In reference to teh last 30 mins on mintpal no trade ...everybody myself included saw the 250k & 150k dumps which where trading loss's and realized that there is no way to compete with that  There has been up until this point awesome demand for VRC and super positive grass roots trading.... I dont know what is the real story ...but something does not add up |

250k & 150k dump @ sub 0.00041 pricesI am cool with pump and dump ..its part of the game ...but You had to go back 2 weeks to get coin in large enough vol to be able to dump 250k & 150k @ sub 0.00041 prices Why would u sell for 41k when u have had 5 oppurtunitys for 50+k in teh last week You will never be able to compete with people who can sell at a loss or where there cost base is ~ 0 (DEVS or INSIDERS) These are my questions 1)Like who has all of the MINED coinz anyway  2)Was not this the same deal with Black Coin and was not pnosker involved in that dump frenzy Personally i think this is going down teh same path as BC

The ANN is often the first place people look for info about coins so being absolutely up to date is essential so as to keep rumour, fud etc in check and to let people see what a first mover VRC is. Great work and huge future ahead. Thanks to devs and community.  Many coins have moved away from their ANN thread as the main source of communication. ANN threads on bitcointalk really aren't the best place to look for information due to the huge amount of FUD in the typical thread. We will, however, try to keep those who choose to look to this thread for information as informed as possible. And the vast majority of coins have not. Keeping this thread up to date is absolutely essential. It is not optional. As I said, we need to try to do that. However, this is not our main channel of communication at this time. There is no good reason to not keep this thread completely up to date. To not do so is just laziness. The reason is simple. Bitcointalk is not the ideal channel of communication. Many serious coins have moved away from this forum to other channels. Some host their own forum while others use Reddit or IRC. You can try to insult us by calling us lazy, but that doesn't make it so. It just shows that you have no real argument. Now let me repeat: We will try to keep this thread updated on all our developments.I dont want to harp on about it as u have addressed the issue... A Point I want to make is that a lot of us (myself included) sit behind corp firewalls that dont have access to IRC ...which leaves us blind for 10 hours of the day As a long time bagholder\permabull & supporter of BTC\LTC really love your work and you guys are filling the void that LTC has left wanting Keep up the fantastic work and allow pplz to believe in a real ALT to BTC where so many have failed....LTC included |

Not bad at all, congrats! Any more predictions to make you right in the future?  I'm less inclined to make an unconditional statement this time because we are _right_ around a major point of resistance, and the next days will probably decide whether we break it for good this time, or play hide and seek with it some longer. That said, I see a good chance (say, 40%, maybe more) that we will be beyond the previous peak of $683 by July 20, which would almost certainly mean we're past $700 by July 20 by simple momentum, which very likely also means we'll get near or touch $800 by July 20, again by simple momentum once a major line of resistance is broken. Sorry if that's not such an exciting prediction. Dude ... where are the CHOO CHOO's and to Da MoOn's |

On Bitstamp, BTC-e, and Bitfinex, there was a surge in volume (peaking at 300-700 BTC/min) while the price was shooting up, but when the rally stalled then volume dropped again to the very low levels it had before (10-30 BTC/min).
On Huobi and OKCoin, volume surged to about the same levels (~600 BTC/min) during the rally, but then it remained high (~120 BTC/min) while the price wandered between ~3800 and ~3820.
Need I say that I see that as evidence that the rally happened in China, and the trades in the West were mainly arbitrage?
Why are you so obsessed with the Chinese having to lead the exchanges? Its clear that stamp/finex led this based on how much they moved up (15-20 $) while huobi went up around $10. The volume can easily be explained by the fact that the chinese exchanges have no trading fees. As an example some Chinese traders may be selling during the rally to buy back a few minutes later at a little lower price, which isn't as easy if there are trading fees that will cut into profit. He is obsessed with himself. He picks a subject on a busy forum that will get lots of attention to him. It's all about him. He has no interest in Bitcoin. He uses it to get attention. It would be great if you stopped quoting that idiot. AGreed ..oxygen thief...just ignore the moron he needs help |
