If you are talking about the fake ICOs i agree with you, but the ICOs its self is good it is new model investment in digital coins, new generation of IPO on stocks markets, the investors whom interested in ICOs, they must do research about the ICOs projects, this method (ICOs) is very easy, simple than IPO. So i don't think the ICOs is a problem with cryptos currencies.

If the projects of ICOs is legit, it will has the value in the future everything depending on the developer of team the ICOs, you can check the activity of projects, the community of projects and the progress of project, the good projects usually the administrator are very active to answer your question and don't forget you must be joint in their official social media to follow the activity on there.
