1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the main problems bitcoiners face? on: November 26, 2016, 10:53:08 PM
People that associate bitcoin with easy money.

Other day I saw a scheme where the guys plotted a lot of cars with the bitcoin logo and they are a ponzi scheme that "sell" hair products or something like that, imagine it for a people that never saw bitcoin what, just weird.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince my dad that Bitcoin is a trustful currency ? on: November 26, 2016, 10:43:28 PM
There's no much to talk if he don't want to hear...

Any kind of currency is used to ilegal purpose, tell to your dad stop using dollar notes because people buy crack with it.

Or just hide your wallet and have fun.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: November 26, 2016, 10:41:11 PM
Sad In Nigeria over 75000 children are going to die of malnutrition in months, says united nations( CCTV news focus on Africa) this excludes youths(including me) and women. The actual fact is that food is available but people simply do not have enough money to buy them. What strikes me deeply is that despite knowing various channels to help alleviate the money issue( notably MMM nigeria and MMMunited) I could not get started. I wanted to participate in MMM Nigeria using Bitcoins, but i have none. I also have plans to educate and promote bitcoins in my local community.I needed less than $20 worth of bitcoin to get started with mmm Nigeria and later mmm United, from here, I will be able to help myself and be useful to others around me. I don't know if i should call this a kind of fund raising campaign or begging for help, but what choice is left when people around you are also helpless, with everyone looking elsewhere for help,it is very frustrating. This is what fear, hunger and anger has pushed me to do.                    please help me get started    1AkBURZ7b9MetBywhNrxa9sbHJgio6GPrt

You should make an plan, make a thread introducing you and your ideas, for sure here you can find some people that can give a small amount to you.

However without any info will be hard to people give you some money because there are a lot of scammers here...
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees, where's your limit? on: November 25, 2016, 11:53:10 PM
Bitcoin was created to avoid bank taxes and stuffs like that and now we can see a scenario in the future where the fees value can be a problem. That's ironic.

I don't know about the limit, maybe it will be a common sense, people will stop to make transactions if the price goes too high so in that way everything will go be more cheap.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 25, 2016, 09:34:08 PM
Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?
i think poor country is low income communite so use bitcoin just not to transaction but income too.. to help their income
and goverment have to legal bitcoin

Yes that is going to be the use of bitcoin in poor countries. That's the main reason for them to become poor, because they don't have something for their living. But because of their poorness they need to identify first what are their needs so that they will be able to identify what's going to be the first move for their adoption of bitcoin.
But it is also a fact that even in poor countries where you can hardly find the basic facilities of life, like food, water, electric city security but still there the luxury and entertainment items are very cheap. So, they must have the facilities to use get benefit from bitcoin. They just need a proper knowledge of computer and internet.

But the problem  would be the access to this gadgets and internet.  If you are making rich people in a poor country richer, you are not helping the country to level up its status.  The reason why country is poor is the percentage of the poor people that have no means of meeting the basic or standard way of living.  This problem will only be solved if the government centralized its effort of implementing a project that give acces to the knowledge and equipment needed to facilitate or take advantage of bitcoin opportunity.
The best way to help poor countries is change the financial system, we know in the poor countries finance only have some peoples or organizations. Bitcoin will help poor countries if all peoples care.

but to me the more important thing to turn all poor people rich may be more important that to change financial system is to educate them, they will become rich by themselves, as we can see that in most poorer countries the education system is very weeks the education ratio is about zero therefore they need proper education to change their destination.

It's just a dream to make the world equal, for example you can pick all the money of the world and give $1000 to everyone

After a month or a year, one guy will have a million and other will have $1.

The real question isn't to make people rich, just give to everyone a better life. Most problem of the world comes from corrupted politics.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Business To Create? on: November 23, 2016, 06:07:24 PM
What is the best bitcoin business to create that will grow throughout 2017?
i think for creat a faucet sites is good idea , but for me i don't leave trading..

Faucet? Seriously?

Faucet isn't an business, you will earn just dust.

For any real business you need knowledge in the area, just money to invest don't mean that you will have a good revenue even if it's the best business ideia.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi and Bitcoin value on: November 23, 2016, 06:02:22 PM
Do you know how many people are searching Nakamoto, if he shows off police will put him/her or a team into the jail, they would require something to kill bitcoin or force the bitcoins be burned or get into circulation, or worse going auction. I do hope he keep hiden, the last person that claimed Nakamoto identity just hasnt balls to proof or sign any message from the adress.

Why they will put he in the jail?

Maybe, out of sheer frustration and butthurt that Bitcoin is giving them? They wouldn't necessarily put him in jail, but they (I mean alphabet agencies, before all) could easily make his life unbearable, or, what would be even worse for Bitcoin, they might make him an offer that he couldn't possibly refuse and use him to discredit Bitcoin or do something to that tune. Provided Bitcoin itself is not their creation, in the first place...

By them I mean alphabet agencies such as CIA, NSA and their likes

Something like the Snowden?

Obama said he was thankful  for the things that Snowden do however he(government) can't forgive him lol and that's why the guy will never go back to USA.

Satoshi is doing well keeping in the shadow.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A decentralized blockchain. Is it ever possible? on: November 23, 2016, 05:55:37 PM
I don't see much problem against centralized.

People can make an boycott, people can make pressure for changes and for sure they will heard us.

Well, miners nowadays rule the bitcoin and can do this, users don't have much to do.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much would you have now if you bought btc instead of your first smartphone? on: November 23, 2016, 05:52:14 PM
Nice thread.

This show to us the difference between an consumist and an investor.

Next time that you will go buy something, you can think in this example and buy bitcoin instead of the product that you want.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: November 23, 2016, 05:49:19 PM
If bank owners knows, it's done.

It's just question of time to this arrive to people in general, maybe they don't will touch it directly because bitcoin can be used on the background but for sure it will be part of the future.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 23, 2016, 05:47:36 PM
Bitcon have great opportunity for help anyone including the poor countries. With bitcoin surely open job opportunity like mining, mining tools, exchanger and more. The easiest and is able to make a wallet to donation from around the world.
Which opened a door of opportunities to poor people. Some people can't even afford to go to college. Learning how to use bitcoins surely enables them to earn some as well. They don't need the school to understand bitcoins since there are articles for that. Poor people can connect to the free wifi and in just days of studying, they'll be able to understand the basic things about bitcoin. A simple smartphone is what they need and even poor people have one of that.

More poor, less school.

Kids leave school to work and help the family, they don't stay much in school. Also they can't buy mining equipament, neither pay the eletricity bill for it.

You can't compare a poor guy with some blockchain genius, they have differents chances. Bitcoin/cryptos will be on poor countries just when someone go there and explain the benefits and how to use.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: November 23, 2016, 05:42:27 PM
Interesting ideas but nothing concrete here.
Which skills?
Great question. I do not have the answer for everyone. For one person they may only be able to learn the skill of flipping hamburgers (which is in demand somewhere). Others may be able to learn more advanced skills.
Here is a top 25 skills of 2016 for those with brains in their head: http://blog.linkedin.com/2016/01/12/the-25-skills-that-can-get-you-hired-in-2016/

I'd just like to thank Elwar for that link. I realize it may not have taken much to search for it myself had I thought to, but when one has over a hundred tabs open researching dozens of different things, it's nice to get conveniently pointed in the right direction. The article in that blog link doesn't just list 25 skills that are popular with employers, it also offers resources to learn them, so it's really quite helpful if anyone wants to pursue that. Elwar's comment that you can just google it is also still valid.

That said, I do wonder how feasible it is to try and earn Bitcoins by doing jobs like programming if you're not already an expert? Is it even possible for newcomers who go through the effort to learn these skills to compete with existing Bitcoin veterans for those jobs? How much expertise in a programming language does one need before they can reasonably start applying them?

(If my questions would be better served in a new thread, please let me know. I'm still getting used to how things work here)
I don't think learning a skill like programming would help you get Bitcoins especially now in 2016. There are a lot of programmers and coders out there(especially Indians) who can do the job right for cents. They are efficient and provide good quality programmes/codes as well. So, unless you can compete with that price and make a reasonably good/accurate codes, I advise you to stay away from programming. Maybe you can try graphics designing.

You said a true. All those freelancer jobs I see on sites everywhere there are persons offering their services for $1 dollar or less! Too many people trying to do the same thing related to informatic jobs.
Who really wants to make profit must find a smart way to do it, and can't say to others the way, or many persons will want to do the same thing.

There's no much ways to do money, you can't find new ways.

The people that offer a service for a cheap price are actually killing the profession, btw none of this guys are professional, they are there just to make the things hard for the pros. Well, you pay for what you want, cheap = low quality.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wow ,almost 30,000 unconfirmed trans on: November 23, 2016, 05:39:26 PM
30.000?

I'm seeing 62.000 and going up...

What is this? Big miners aren't processing transactions with small fees?

That's a big challange the the coin!
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Should people wait for confirmation of Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2016, 04:56:53 PM
To avoid scams.

Bitcoin is based on blockchain, miners have to confirm the transactions so in this way the transactions will be there forever and none can change it anymore, if isn't confirmed, can be an attempt of fraud.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best metric for evaluating Bitcoin adoption rate over time on: November 22, 2016, 04:48:50 PM
To objectively estimate the number of users actually using Bitcoin, anyone can see from Blockchain link here https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/ how many wallets are there now. Blockchain is largest Web wallet, so you can see actual number of Bitcon users - around 8 millions now.

I don't think the number of wallets on blockchain.info reflect the real number of users, some users create more than one wallet for security reasons, maybe have a lot of empty wallets and abandoned ones.

Number of transactions can be a smart way to see the growing.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 22, 2016, 04:25:20 PM
hello! Im in a third world country and bitcoin helps me a lot, just have to know the secret on trading and stuff, electricity is expensive here so mining may not be advisable, but since bitcoin has been sloping upward, i was able to make money and planning to buy solar panels to help me with mining, so, yes, i think bitcoin can help poor countries Smiley just have to be resourceful and if you have all the equipments you need Smiley
For help peoples maybe yes, but for all citizens is imposible. Bitcoin only enjoyed by some peoples or groups who understand it, if it is indeed useful, better also introducing bitcoin to other peoples.

Maybe they can create a little local comunity, this guy can talk about bitcoin to 5 people and this people talk to more people so in this way they can start to accept bitcoin and get some coins.

Bitcoin price is always increasing their price so they can earn a little bit more.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fiat Digital currency is coming to Chinese people. on: November 20, 2016, 05:29:55 PM
yet another post with people advertising the bankers crapcoin on the hyperledger.

again nothing to do with bitcoin

It have something with bitcoin, if this system can be more secure for the people, they will stop to use bitcoin a little also the government can ban the bitcoin and control all transactions of this digital currency.

So at the end of the day the bitcoin price and adoptance goes to the ground.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to the transaction fee? on: November 20, 2016, 05:27:53 PM
i am thinking what will happen when block halving reward will become negligible may be after 2050 or before that. even now itself miners had quit mining  because profit dropped from 25 to 12.5 then think of 2050's situation.

That is the reality that it will closely to happen and if a transaction doesn't require fees then the miners will just stop mining. For it is not going to be profitable to them to make mining as sourrce as it is not going to be helpful for us if there is going to be an implementation that no fees are going to be ever made with our transactions.

Halving will increase the price, so in the end they will earn the same amount when they convert to fiat also they are still holding "old" coins.

Fees will depend of the adoptance of the bitcoin, in 2050 it can be dead or be with high fees.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: November 20, 2016, 05:22:34 PM
I what sense it is profitable. If was profitable then miner wouldn't shut down their system after july 2016 halving. There was no price rise even their block  mining reward had been cut down to half. So in my view halving is no longer profitable

No longer? Price doubled with the halving. I think on the next halving, bitcoin price can hit at lest $3000, $4000, something like 3, 4x the today price.

Less coins for mine, bigger the price... Bigger bitcoin miners control the price, that's the truth.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 20, 2016, 05:19:40 PM
i think bitcoin can't help poor country because in poor country. alot of them have a currency not easy to bitcoin help them

If there is an easy way of exchanging the local currency to bitcoin and vice versa then I think the picture might be different.

However I believe that bitcoin can help the economy of a person and not the entire country. Changing the economy of a country is a very tough job and it requires huge input for some individual bitcoin group, and I doubt anyone would try to do that in real life.

Exchanges will be on every country in the world, some of them just need time and the necessity of it, you don't will open an exchange where there's no people using bitcoin...

Bitcoin it's something global and this can help poor countries, they can earn more per hour than working in an local store, of course, they need experience to do some online work.
