Zero OpEx because it's all shifted to the consumer, who is seeing at best a fraction of the revenue and footing all of the cost. Count me out, pretty much forever, on any mining device I can't configure the pool for and any mining device which I can't turn off.

Versus receiving... zero now?
122  Other / Meta / Re: Leave the trust system as is but remove trust scores on: May 19, 2015, 11:42:30 PM
I'm in favor of a system as simple as what eBay has set up.  Positive/negative, with feedback history readily visible.  Easy to use, easy to understand, and not quite so arcane as this forum's "default trust" system.  Which, I've never really understood, because I don't ever trust anything "by default".  Trust is earned one user at a time.

Or in the case of Adam Allcock's ebay account tens of shill accounts but that sort of confidence trick already happens here with sock puppets in threads and for trust feedback which is unmoderated.
123  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller's feedback on my account on: May 19, 2015, 11:36:55 PM
...I don't hide using my alt accounts unlike you with your QS, AS accounts and you don't bother to fight with your real name. My account name has my real name as I have nothing to hide.

Why would anyone want to use the services of someone that is anonymous. What is the great scam buster QS hiding? Clearly the sketchy person is the one hiding behind aliases.

Hand outstretched simply shake and be free.
125  Other / Meta / Re: Leave the trust system as is but remove trust scores on: May 19, 2015, 06:38:03 PM
No doubt it will be abused. It is being "abused" now as well.

If it is supposed to be unmoderated why have a default level?
126  Other / Meta / Re: Leave the trust system as is but remove trust scores on: May 19, 2015, 05:52:55 PM
Here is a thought.

Avoid VAT scams and Escrows that hide their identities. And make double sure they are not on the Default Trust list ever again.
127  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller = BadBear, he removed his DefaultTrust on purpose on: May 19, 2015, 05:46:32 PM
I see how it is. Now that you got rid of your negative trust from Quickseller, your going to start a crusade against BadBear to get the other one removed. I'm guessing Vod will be next after that.

No one seems to care when Canary in the Mine got axed did they?

Where were you when one of the most reputable group sales hardware seller was taken down by Dogie's complaints?

I really don't think VOD cares if he is on or off the Default Trust and he hasn't done anything to warrant being next. Although if you can Canary in the Mine who sold MILLIONS in hardware with little or no problems who is Default Trust worthy then? And this is the problem with a "DEFAULT" or leveled system. Remove it and let the market set the default or get rid of that system and start again with something else. Any way you look at it people will game whatever system you put in place.

The difference between QS and VOD or CITM is clear. QS never belonged on that default trust list given his support for Dogie a proven VAT scammer.
128  Other / Meta / Re: Leave the trust system as is but remove trust scores on: May 19, 2015, 05:38:01 PM
Remove all levels of trust  or default trust.

Everyone same level.

Free for all let the market determine the value of red marks not just a few people hand picked.
129  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [27th Feb] on: May 19, 2015, 05:23:29 PM
Are you being paid by Canaan Creative & Bitmain as an individual or as your so called "business"?

Guess you might ask Revenue people about that in the UK I am sure they would be interested how he made all his money he claimed to on his deleted LinkedIn page. Referenced here if others missed that. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1018906.msg11033346#msg11033346

Edit: Maybe Martin Sirakov's scam is fully realized and you can change your rating to the lowest you can give. I warned you this would happen but you wouldn't listen.

ive been waiting since 2015-02-17 for a HEX4RBox

sent 3 emails now to them and not a single reply and 3 dates have passed on there site for shipping and yet no box or even a reply to my emails

good ive pay for them via paypal
going to give them 2 more weeks and still if no box or at the very least a email will report them for fraud as there selling goods i don't even believe they have

if your reading this TECHNOBIT my order is FUCVIKLCA
i suggest you get back to me asap
I'm waiting from 2014-12-21, and I don't get my money......
Looks like Martin Sirakov aka Technomachinex/Technobit from Sofia ran off with the money, that is $565,000 in bitcoin alone, plus a yet unknown amount in cash/bank/credit card payments. Has anyone contacted their banking or credit card company yet and reported fraud? I can't believe the inertnes of some on this matter while Martin Sirakov is laughing all the way to the bank. Time to address Bulgaria's justice authorities on this matter, this guy belongs in prison.
130  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: May 19, 2015, 05:17:32 PM
If we could do away with the brinkmanship and name calling I am sure you two have an agreement already.

He stops pestering you. You remove the feedback and all is good.

Outstretched hands, shake and move on.
131  Other / Archival / Re: Quickseller, trust abuse, innacurate negative ratings, unprofesional escrow... on: May 19, 2015, 04:51:59 PM
Badbear removed quickseller from his trust list, Quickseller is no loger part of default trust depth 2.

His rating in my profile still remains, I believe that this still keeps this thread relevant so I won't be locking it. I haven't invited anyone to post here, it's done voluntarily by individuals that are looking to voice their opinion (some are probably doing it for signature campaign payouts but that's another thing). There's certainly no such thing as a 'organised Quickseller hate group'.

Now I know that I have no control on what you post here but as a kind reminder and for being the original poster: I'd advise people to tone down off topic discussion. You're free to create a new topic if you'd like to discuss things not belonging in this topic.

Thank you for your efforts at least one TRUST TYRANT is gone. Liberté, égalité, fraternité.
132  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller's feedback on my account on: May 19, 2015, 04:47:16 PM
I don't know what BadBear was waiting for to remove QS from his list. Having him in there has proved disastrous. Quickseller is obviously an individual obsessed with witch hunting and your case is a crystal clear example.

While you've probably never caused any harm, he felt that it was appropriate to give you such a vague rating only after you expressed your thoughts against him. It's also funny how he goes that far to justify such a rating when he's clearly based it on speculation and personal bias. Not surprisingly though, his comment above where he tries to justify this rating comes with more accusations and a personal attack. Seems like someone didn't learn his lesson.

I really do hope that no one like Quickseller receives a spot in default trust ever again.

Too busy to look... has he been AXED finally? Is the wicked WITCH dead?

Oh so sad.

Erikalui keep fighting the good fight don't let QS bully you and know that many in the community support your efforts to call out this jerk.
133  Other / Meta / Re: Should a new section be added for trust disputes? on: May 19, 2015, 09:27:18 AM
Hey everyone, there is a problem with trust! Instead of solving the problem, lets make a new subforum to bury the symptoms instead of focusing on the cause. Sounds like a good plan.

Or just go off on everyone still on the list and conflagrate it so no one is talking about fixing it?

How about moving towards a solution?

I think getting some of this shit into a space that is bent on resolution is a good idea but not at the expense of finding a solution to problems with the trust system. Both can happen not everything is either or especially when you have a lot more noise than signal going on.
134  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller using intimidation tactics to reinforce disputed trust ratings on: May 19, 2015, 09:07:39 AM
I wouldn't put anything past that asshole he supports Dogie's fraud and tagged my trust rating like he thinks it matters or something.

If only what your saying wasn't just speculation then you would have something to really shake the default trust as well as remove some admins.

Thanks for the insight it is worth contemplating given the way Quickseller seems to be immune given and conversely how quickly someone like Canary In The Mine lost his Default Trust with Dogie pushing that agenda. Obviously Theymos needs to rethink the system again if that is possible. Something really stinks in all this and it isn't going away that is for sure.

Quickseller feeds information to Badbear about who is buying and selling accounts, which usually ends up in them being banned, and the users buying even more accounts from him. Works out great for him, and just like that one coke dealer the cops let operate so he can be an informant, Badbear lets this regular and flagrant violation of the rules by Quickseller go ignored for similar reasons.

Evidence?

That would certainly KILL any sales for QS immediately don't you think?

That would be an ethical breach of trust for the seller / broker to give that information to the forum administrators without the knowledge of the buyer. Also couldn't the admins just read the PM's of name sellers to gather information like this on fraudsters and non-frausters alike?

Just speculation, especially considering Badbear is the one who added quickseller to the default trust list. But there is motive, means, and opportunity. No it wouldn't hurt his sales, because as I stated this creates a situation where MORE of a supply is needed. Scammers probably steal enough to make up for the cost anyway. Also I am sure they keep it on the downlow. They probably wait a few weeks to make it look less suspicious. Of course it is a breech of trust, but so would the admins reading pms randomly fishing for information wouldn't it? Quickseller has already demonstrated questionable morals, why put this past him?
135  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: May 19, 2015, 09:05:49 AM
Is what I am asking hard to give? The concessions are not for me they are for you and VOD.

Now in terms of friendship no one said that at all. You can hate people all you like I don't give a rats ass. What I do see is two people who hold or are trying to hold the same ethical and moral high ground neither one willing to back down for no other reason than to be 'right'. That is a no win for both of you given what goes on in these forums your anger seems really misplaced at each other.

Again the fact you are willing to let things drop if he kills the negative trust seems doable but that is not up to me that is up to him. If you would rather keep raging on each other so be it but it must get tiresome after awhile.

If you two resolve this I see a much better space because two people who have the same moral baseline would be working against those without any such a baseline whether or not you do that TOGETHER AS FRIENDS means nothing really as long as you take all the energy and channel it for better uses. That is good for me and everyone else here.

Dear all,

Thank you for all participation! Our contest is over now. We will calculate all results and publish within a week. Thanks again! Wink

Thanks for putting this on. Was fun to read the way out and not so way out ideas.
137  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: May 19, 2015, 07:40:15 AM
I didn't ask you to give me anything. I did this for you and VOD not for me.

I asked if you were willing to fix the issue. Still waiting on VOD obviously.

I guess you are not ready. Too bad seems like a waste of time and effort given that you both have the same goal in mind. Ethics above all else. That is the credo you both live by and it is one that I also ascribe. Oh well enjoy your hate filled rants both of you it is most entertaining to watch all the adverbs and adjectives get used up. Eventually you will figure it out I guess.

My apologies. Let me try again.

1. Can you stop attacking VOD without any concessions for 24 hours?
2. Can VOD stop attacking you without any concessions for 24 hours?

Next.

3. VOD if he is willing to work it out with you will then remove his negative rating of you?
4. Techshare would be willing to continue a peaceful engagement with VOD.

Next as the TRUCE holds.

5. Work together to find some reasonable solutions to the default trust issues that plague the system.
6. Work together to help ameliorate the rampant scamming that continues on in these forums without attacking each other.

140  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller using intimidation tactics to reinforce disputed trust ratings on: May 19, 2015, 07:02:30 AM
I am not using intimidation tactics. I am merely stating facts. The fact is that at this point da dice is paying a scammer to advertise for them. If necessary, I will dig up the threads/posts where evidence is provided that shows based on what you yourself stated, would make a reasonable person conclude that you admitted to scamming TF. This would not really on in any way the word of TF.

At this point da dice is paying you to troll, and flame me. This as well as the fact that they are paying a scammer to advertise is absolutely unacceptable, and shows a very poor use of judgment, and shows ver poor business standards and ethics.

I would opine that any business that hires scammers to advertise for them and to represent their brand image is not deserving of my business, nor any one else's business. How can a business claim to be fair and honest when they are having scammers represent them?

Just because you decide that you don't like like someone doesn't make them a scammer.  It's one thing to neg-rep someone (since, as we all know, trust is unmoderated), but following them around and trying to intimidate people not to do business with them is a whole 'nother level.  And you say you're not doing it, but what else do you call it when you're posting in the bitmixer thread warning them not to work with Twippple because you have decided he is a scammer.  Or where you post in the dadice thread just 24 hours before neg-repping me with an alt saying "i'm going to get you kicked out of here".  If that's not indimidation, what is?  These are just 2 examples I've seen recently, there may be more.

Correct.

Have a look at what he did to my rating. I have NEVER dealt with him at all and the more I know about his anonymous business the more I would never do business with an escrow that has access to 100s or 1000s of accounts on these forums that he could easily slip in and out of as we have already seen with the one account we know about. How the hell he is on a trust list to start with is a mystery and it probably means that he is actually known IRL by those who gave him trust. That to me is the more worrisome part of this that there is an account hiding an identity that is on the Trust List. That is unacceptable and it should not be standard practice by those on the default trust to allow people like this to have cover. Is he really trustworthy? For all we know it is Josh Zerlan? Or say Adam Allcock or Loshia or others who have a propensity for unethical behavior that is well documented.
