181  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WHAT IS PICISI ? on: May 15, 2015, 02:04:10 PM
You keep claiming nonsense about a chartity, I keep insisting that PICISI is not designed to be a charity, nor will it be a charity.

Myy first accusation (repeated for the dense):

1) He is not operating a licensed charity

We are in agreement - what's the issue?  That I'm going to be informing your sponsors of this?  Sponsors that you may have led to believe you that you WERE a charity?   That will be your dishonesty - not mine.  All I state are the facts.

I asked him if he was willing to resign from Bitcointalk.com (remove Vod from membership) if I prove him wrong in his clams about PICISI, he has dodged the question over and over again.

You don't stand behind your words, because you don't stand behind your anonymous account.

You want to challenge me?  Then come out of the shadows and do it!  I can kick your scammy ass anyday.   Wink

1) Does he have to operate a licensed charity in his jurisdiction for what he is proposing?

Please support your argument. I don't see why he needs to form a licensed charity trying to organise people in the interim stages before funds are even collected. Does Quickseller have to have a license to operate a financial services business in his jurisdiction as an ESCROW? Are you not concerned for those who might be taken or abused by QS?

2) He should not be anonymous when running this sort of enterprise. No more than Quickseller should run an escrow as anonymous entity and has done so for months. We would likely agree that Quickseller's actions are circumspect based on the same concerns you have for Armis correct? Are you not concerned for those who might be taken or abused by QS?

182  Other / Archival / Re: Quickseller, trust abuse, innacurate negative ratings, unprofesional escrow... on: May 15, 2015, 01:52:03 PM
On the other hand Vod usually just blocks people whom he negative rates, and refuses to talk to them for over a month even if he does.

Obviously you are just lying/making assumptions, unless you have a number of scammer accounts that I have negative rated and then blocked as proof?  Or do you accept scammer's words as fact when they tell you anything anti-Vod?

In any case, we now have an enemy scammer in common - Armis.  I suggest we become best friends to tackle the bigger issue.  Smiley

That would be good.

How about having a long look at Adam Allcock aka Dogie's VAT and Mail Fraud while you are at it or Loshia who fed Technobit's fraud or how about Thomas S. who help feed the Minersource fraud by Bobsag3 aka Matt Carson a good pal of Dogie, Loshia and Quickseller.
183  Other / Archival / Re: Quickseller, trust abuse, innacurate negative ratings, unprofesional escrow... on: May 14, 2015, 08:28:28 PM
I think QS is a piece of shit shill paid to promote and prop up Adam Allcock. Or could likely be Adam Allcock given the same types of posting patterns.

Either way he is an ANONYMOUS entity that no one in their right minds should be giving money in escrow to. I posted  my trust rating on him go see.

I will assume you are talking to me since you didn't bother quoting. What I hope to accomplish is to make it evident to as many people as possible how little the rules mean around here to those in charge when they don't like the implications of enforcing them, while at the same time they scream at the top of their lungs how important the rules are to keeping the forum running well. What do you hope to accomplish by asking such a pointless question? (P.S., nice sock puppet)

You're trying to convince the guy who stole your wallet (and his friends) that he's a thief.

No, he's not. He's doing what he said he's doing in his second sentence that you quoted and ignored. Except it seems that his actual intended audience, "as many people as possible", gives zero fucks as well, or at least has no way to show giving a fuck.

You can lead horses to water but you can't make them drink.

I care.

I just want to see who supports whom and that gives me a much better idea who Adam Allcock aka Dogie is tied to on the default trust list. As for the VOD TECSHARE hatred I am sure reasonable people could find a solution if they would be reasonable. Guessing they both hate scammers and the trust issue is just conflated pissing in the wind contest. I am more interested in the scummy hidden scammers or those who just do enough to game the forums for their benefit without any ethics whatsoever. Hiding in plain site right under the scam busters noses. There is a putrid stench that permeates these forums and Vod and Tecshare battling is a distraction.

Since this thread is actually about what Quickseller has done to worhipper_-_ (neg repping him for not going through with a trade when all parties weren't agreed on terms), do you have any opinion on QS behavior on these forums?
184  Other / Meta / Re: Is asking for a feedback is wrong on: May 14, 2015, 07:51:19 PM
Just to clear my doubt Please let me know
Is asking for a feedback is wrong??
You answer may be helpful and give me more information about the forum

Edit : I'm here asking to all member who left positive feedback on my account to remove it if it was asked by me from you.
Please don't remove any negative feedback because I think I deserves it.
From now I will make a criteria to judge people and to also judge where to leave negative trust and where positive all who will ask for a feedback will definitely get a negative feedback from me.

Depends who asks and who is asked.

187  Other / Meta / Re: PICISI: Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, and Ideas on: May 14, 2015, 07:04:40 PM
What services are being provided by PICISI at what cost to the people who would invest / pay for said services?

189  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's A More Ethical & Trustworthy Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: May 14, 2015, 03:05:52 PM
Why integrity matters or why people will buy from GekkoScience once they are ready to sell even if it isn't really economically viable to buy small units for home use.

Home mining might be dead. There maybe no real reason to buy anything for the home market but that won't stop Novak and Sidehack. If you are still really looking to support something good before home mining eventual dies a slow agonizing death. Then please check out these guys. They have a modest plan, a singular vision and skills to make it happen and they are doing it with their own cash.

What I meant was, BFL kept getting sales a year after the whole world should have known not to trust them because of their marketing team. Their ads were very visible and any n00b looking for a miner would probably find their stuff first. Of course if you followed up on literally any claim they pushed about their product line you'd find it was an outright lie, and I'm still impressed they weren't called to account on that a lot sooner. But the only advertising we've ever done for anything we've ever made was posting here on the forums. No SEO optimization, no banner ads, just building stuff that doesn't suck and trusting the numbers to speak for themselves (and also satisfied customers, that helped too). I've done exactly zero advertising for our miner line as well. I've mentioned it to a few people when they ask me what I'm up to, and then this forum thread. That's it.

Also, I recall a study someone did where they interviewed a bunch of people entering the job market and asked why they went into their respective fields - because it was fun and interesting, or because they sought wealth. 20 years later they tracked down the same people and measured their financial successes. Of the original sample, I believe there were 300 millionaires in the group; of them, 299 went into their jobs based on a genuine interest and only one because it was a path to riches. I like those numbers. Tells you a lot about human nature - you're a heck of a lot more likely to be successful if you enjoy what you're doing than if you're doing it specifically to be successful. Novak and I are both pretty much constantly broke, but we're definitely enjoying the work. I'm hoping that, between his project and mine (these miners), we can start snowballing bigger, but what matters most (beyond "being able to pay the bills") is that we keep being entertained by the job - and that we don't compromise quality or integrity for the sake of short-term profits. With what we want to do, there's literally no good reason to go down that road.

Also, we've got about a dozen old S1s running around already. Thanks though. I wouldn't turn down more smoked-out S5... heh heh...
190  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Summer Mining - Fans/Other summer equipment on: May 14, 2015, 09:20:49 AM
Ended up finally ordering my new gable fan -  http://www.homedepot.com/p/QuietCool-Professional-3013-CFM-Power-Gable-Mount-Attic-Fan-AFG-PRO-3-0/206047381 .   It was not a item they had in stock at the store, I had to order online.

I will document taking old one out and putting this one in.  It will be around a week to week and a half to get it.   But with the 2.5 or so times more power then old gable fan I think I will see a noticeable difference.

Should move a lot of air. Will you require it at night through the summer? Going to push your costs up some to keep those units cool runing a fan 24/7.
191  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: May 14, 2015, 07:50:53 AM
I think right now our tagline would be something along the lines of "we don't suck and neither does our stuff". Neither of us is really into marketing - we're engineers, which means we prefer honesty and accuracy to flashy slogans and crap. Let the numbers speak for themselves, and you tend to get customers who understand numbers. BFL was really really good at marketing and it didn't take long for people who understood numbers to see through to the lies.

Depends on your ultimate goal. Own the world or products that work. You are going for latter.

BFL was purely scam not a marketing master class. If you have no intention of delivery on what is promised that is a scam. Just wanted to clarify. There are far too many scams run by ineffective delusional teams. Your team has a reasonable goal, transparency and is self-funded. That is why people will not require the "marketing".

You are in the same league or mindset as Spondoolies. Trust is the hardest thing to achieve outside the actual engineering. Your following is growing and requires little or no marketing because you're working towards a goal / vision not a profit bottomline. Build it locally. Build it well. Build for a specific niche market already asking to be first in line to buy. Zero competition.

I am not asking for discount or anything, just instead of declaring a miner for example $350 just say it actually cost $30 so I can fight back against this theft done by government mafia. I'd still pay same price to seller.

+ government will overtax, meaning it will raise the value based on tax regardless of being changed or not. They will just assume everyone does so.

Yeah, no.

Your best bet is cloud mining if import duties are so high.

or used from a private party that can accomdate you on what to put on the invoices on shipping a miner into you

Tons of pre owned Sptech stuff now available. Just check the threads.

This wins. You could sell about 10000 of those easily.

Agree 100% with that assessment.

Most people that are intrinsically motivated will be able solve most if not all of their "hardware" issues barring any real product failure. RTFMYSA. This very Hardware section is riddled with 50% of that.
196  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: May 12, 2015, 04:42:16 AM
Yes, behind. I was hoping to be on TypeZero design by now, and I haven't even gotten working Compac prototypes distributed for testing. Just because I'm not racing other independents doesn't mean it's not a race. I'm also racing new chip generations, and the network as a whole, and my own opinions about how long a thing should take to get done.

There is no competition whatsoever. But try as best you can to stick to an internal timeline allow for bloat and miscalculations. You know how design process goes. Tweaking is a major time hole. You are building something that is pretty persnickety especially those tiny pads on those chips. Hand picking and placing is not easy stuff nor is the getting the solder stencil right by hand.

197  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's A More Ethical & Trustworthy Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: May 12, 2015, 04:20:39 AM
Especially because a lot of customers are, themselves, no-brainers.

If you want to 'blame' the under-educated consumer then why build and market products for under-educated consumers? (Not directed at you personally or your company sidehack).

It makes economic sense for a larger company to simply remove 80% of the problems and deal with only 10 to 20% of the people that have the resources. Same pattern in most businesses really. Customers are being fired continuously as you see some services and goods are sold only to those who provide the best returns for companies.

Is the hardware for mining too technically advanced to sell to the general population?

Possibly right now it still is.

Anyone out there going to change it?

Probably.

Should companies educate consumers better than they are currently?

Always.

If by "on a roll" you mean "several weeks behind ideal projection and frustrated these things didn't work last Thursday", then yes I'm on a roll.

At least the LED works. Some people won't really care if it mines or not so long as the LED works right.

Careful. People might mock you if you have a blinking LED and it mines.

While were are taking about the repurposing of threads in HARDWARE...

CK can you move all the Antminer / Avalon SUPPORT threads to the MINING SUPPORT section?

Since we are talking about whole threads being not really about HARDWARE anymore.
No. Without a dedicated hardware support section, it's flexible enough for hardware announcements and discussions to turn into support threads, even though there is obviously then crossover with the mining support section. Competitions have previously been problematic though and I'd rather avoid that mistake again. The mining subsections are historical in development and no longer ideal but despite discussing this many times over we've been unable to come to something where the demarcation is clear enough to warrant a respin. I'm happy to discuss it again in meta/ if you wish to.

That be better can you cut and paste this out there to Meta since this is off topic?

I see a complete first page of Hardware dedicated to 1 fabricator support questions (Mining Support). Customers reviews are also off topic if we really want to get at the heart of the problem so are reviews of fabricators.
