Yep, I haven't taken a picture of anything in a couple weeks. I don't even remember what it was now.

Hey sidehack! nice idea you got there. Have you considered creating an SPI motherboard with daisy chain pluggable daughters with some BM1384s? if i had the SMT skills i would experiment with them, but i'm afraid my skills aren't up to par.

It would be nice to have expansion packs you can buy to expand onto your motherboard chaining them togheter.

Also, a miner developed exclusively for high density, oil tank setups would be great too Cheesy

The short answer is, no I haven't. You're basically asking for an S6?

Also, a miner developed exclusively for high density oil tank setups might be nice if it's a ~1KW unit with easily configurable wifi that someone can use as a radiant heater in the wintertime. We're not here to build industrial stuff for million-dollar customers. The big guys are already doing that. We're here to take care of the regular folks that the big manufacturers are ignoring and/or ripping off.

Some of these units could be build low cost and be used in system that could provide supplemental or primary heat for home use depends on those putting together the system. Interesting options.
462  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: November 16th, 2015, 9am, Courtroom 7D AKA Hi Jody Drake on: March 23, 2015, 12:26:21 AM
Does anyone want to try to get a group together to sit in the public court room for that day? I believe as a Victim of BFL we have a right to be in the room. I was thinking about taking a week off just to sit in the court, and laugh about the things that happen in that court room.

Tail gate party?
463  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Blackarrow EWallet. DO NOT BUY. on: March 22, 2015, 05:42:30 AM
Post a picture of the EWallet they sent you with shipping invoice there buddy.

I call shenanigans.

Please people do not do anything that legitimizes these assholes.

Remember why they are irresponsible business people.

A quote from Black Arrow's ToS as they love to quote it as the reason they get to keep customers money without providing anything of value in exchange: "16.2 1 This Agreement shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the law of Hong Kong S.A.R. of PRC."

Lets revisit how BA is complying with consumer protection law:

Quote
Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Consumer Rights and InterestsChapter VII Legal Responsibility

Article 40 Business operators shall, if the commodities and services they supply involve any of the following circumstances, bear civil liability in accordance
with the provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Product Quality and other relevant laws and regulations, except as otherwise provided in the present Law:

(1) there existing defects in the commodities;

(2) not possessing the properties for use they should possess and no declaration thereabout is made at the time of sale;

(3) not conforming to the standards indicated on the commodities or on the packaging thereof;

(4) not conforming to the state of quality indicated by the product description or by physical samples;

(5) producing commodities that have been formally declared by the State to be eliminated or selling commodities that are no longer effective or deteriorated;

(6) commodities sold being short of weight or quantity;

(7) contents and costs of services being not in conformity with the agreements;

(8) deliberately delaying or unreasonably refusing consumers requests for repair, remanufacture, replacement, return of goods, makeup for the short commodities, return of payment for goods or services, or compensation for losses;

1. Numerous reports of fires, explosions, electrical leakage and DoA units. ✔

2. Promised to deliver product within a time-frame that would allow the consumer to mine profitably; units delivered between 6 months to a year late or not at all. ✔

3. Falsified CE certification by placing "Chinese Export" labeling in order to deceive customers and customs officials. ✔

4. Claimed customers would be able to mine reliably yet numerous reports from customers claim the machines malfunction on a regular basis. ✔

5. No machines were shipped until the cost of electricity made them ineffective and obsolete for the purposes of mining digital-currency. ✔

6. Machines shipped to customers if they were lucky enough to receive a unit at all were decreased in value by at least 90%. ✔

7. Customers who ordered rent-a-minion service instead of hardware have yet to receive any service other than a few cases where a small fraction of the Bitcoins used to pay for their order were sent back with the claim they were mined. ✔

8. Deliberately delayed shipment of machines to mine digital-currency into their own wallets, refused to provide promised compensation, made customers pay S&H costs on RMA and have refused all refunds. ✔

Ya China is the problem.

Let us set that record straight.

It isn't the CHINESE that own or run the company it is some Eastern European Eurotrash scammers.

true.  China is not the issue.  China may or may not even have jurisdiction in these issues.

The way Black Arrow has structured itself the 'director' lives in the UK, the company is held by some holding company in the Virgin Islands, they manufacture in China and say their terms are governed by Hong Kong law.

Hong Kong law is an interesting choice, seeing as they don't seem to be performing any substantive operations there.  At least until you look into Hong Kong consumer law and realize that it makes group action very difficult and is actually behind most countries, including China, in terms of consumer protections.  To file even small claims that has to be done in Hong Kong, in person.  They are using consumer law there that is basically 100 years old and assumes therefore that everyone lives on their small island and consumer protections are minimal if any.  China just updated their consumer law and even the one it just replaced was far, far better than Hong Kong law when it comes to consumer protections, as HK law spells out very little.

I have little doubt this is exactly why this structure exists.  Sue them, fine.  Where?  China?  Hong Kong?  The UK?  Sue who Alex Sovu, Cristina, Daniel or this holding company in the Virgin Islands.  T

China, Hong Kong is next to impossible to do unless you're willing to fly back and forth to China multiple times for your whatever thousand dollars.  Without the ability to bring group action it is prohibitively expensive for most customers to hire a lawyer and pursue them, and they know it.

I do know of one guy that is suing in the UK and that case is moving forward, from what I'm told.  That would be the only realistic avenue for most people I think, as it can be done remotely.

Yes that is the issue alright. I suspect if you knew the right PEOPLE in mainland China they would not the ability to fabricate or hide in that jurisdiction thus limiting them and their operation.
464  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: March 21, 2015, 03:06:24 PM
They first sent me a mail yesterday after almost one year and told me that they will ship me tha miner and if i don't reply by the end of march they will "destroy" the miner. In the last mail in May I asked for a refund and they told me they will send my money back, but no money. Look at the last mail after i told them i want the refund i asked for and not their useless miner

Dear Customer

I'm sorry to have to inform you that at this point in time all refund requests are declined as per paragraph 11.3 of our agreed terms and conditions (http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/legal.html). The money that we have received from you and other customers have been used to pay for parts and labour, as agreed in our contract. More than this we cannot unmake a product that has been completed and we cannot sell it for you due to low demand of this product.

Please note that:

All pre-order equipment has been in stock since end of December / beginning of January. Since then we have been contacting every pre-order customer via email to confirm their addresses in order to ship their merchandise. As we cannot store the miners indefinitely, back then we have set a 3 months storage deadline after which we would dispose of customer's equipment.

As we get closer to the 3 months deadline, we are urging all pre-order customers that have yet to receive their order to contact us via email so we can ship their merchandise.

Warning: Failure to contact us by end of March 2015, will result in destruction of your equipment!

We are really sorry that the things did not went as we planned. We have been struggling to get this contract to an end due to some mistakes we've made in development, various third parties failures and because we have rushed a huge number of orders into production which have failed due to insufficient testing, resulting in way higher costs that we've anticipated. At this point we have already put in our own money in order to complete the orders and all we can do is to honor your order as placed. We are developing a cheaper product to honor the promised compensation and try to offer you a cheaper hosting that you might have at home. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay. Rest assured that we are and have been doing everything humanly possible to get this contract completed. Should we ever recover we'll try to give back to our valued customers as much as we can.

Understanding your dismay due to the various causes of delay, but your refusal to receive your order will either lead to the destruction of your goods, or we might accept it as gift to us and send it to other customer. In any case, we will NOT issue you with any refund and our contract will be deemed as fulfilled. Please note, that we will refuse DHL to return your package. Should you choose to let DHL destroy it, that is your option; it is your merchandise, you can do whatever you want with it (as long it is for legal purposes only). If you want to give it to us as a gift, please let us know and we'll inform DHL to deliver to another customer. Warning: If you choose to take no action and your package will stay with DHL until they will destroy it.

This ticket will now close and will reopen when you reply to it. Please do not open new tickets in our system

Regards,
Black Arrow Team

Variants of the above letter have been making the round since early December, 2014, if not sooner.

One thing that stands out is that an American penned it and not Dr. Sovu. That said, which one of you fuckin' Americans is helping Black Arrow in this obvious scam of theirs?

One advantage to the hammer design. Spondoolies support and more chips. Not sure what sort of availability there is for others. I'd say Bitmain would be the only other RELIABLE source of chips.

I would wager they would be available to help support Sidehack and Novak hardware or software related with anything might need as well something that no other supplier of chips would be able to do beyond a datasheet and a few emails back and forth. Our EE was able to ask questions and get some pretty good support although ultimately we failed. I suspect that Spondoolies will do everything it can to support projects like this given what I have seen before.

With regards to Hammer stickminers:

I got the datasheet for the Hammer ASIC.  It does not contain power info at 0.55V but indicates that the bottom end power efficiency is 0.55W/GH although that is also the rated power at 0.6V and 430MHz (this is at the typical corner).  This would be 3.5W which is too high, but even taking 0.55W/GH as your best power consumption estimate you could probably run off USB down at about 4GH or so including VRM losses.

Would anyone look at a Hammer stickminer (~2.5W, ~4GH) with interest or is that just too low of a hashrate?  You could clock it at double that easily (with sufficient USB power) assuming we build the power supply capable of handling that.  It would be a fair amount more work for us to do an additional board including serial protocol for the Hammer but it would keep us away from bitmain's (potential) price hikes.

Let me know if this is something you would consider worth picking up, the attraction for us is that we would likely be able to get some old Hammers a little cheaper than bitmain might sell us chips.  The downside is that the result would probably not compare particularly well to a BM1384 stickminer, which would not be much extra work for us to produce.

novak

don't make them.  the bm1384  would be much better.

having had sticks of all types having sold sticks of all types on ebay.  your specs mentioned on  the bm1384  were a lot better.

If the bm1384 dial under .4 watts/gh that is a big seller.

  the hammer at 2.5/4 = .625 w per gh  it is substandard efficiency .

If I run 4 sticks at .4 watts or less (BM1384)  Balance them  with a solo pool and a pair of pps pools Positive roi is possible due to the low watts per gh.

If I do it with 4 sticks at .625 watts (Hammer)  Positive roi is not going to happen.

USB's won't ROI. That is just dream city the USB sales price is not going be low enough. That threshold was already reached about 1 year ago when price of BTC and the network difficulty was far more reasonable than now to miners.

The point of the USB is novelty, educational with possibly some sort of secondary use built in.

Ideally you could solar power a few and it be a green miner the question would be price of the chip and cost of design. Both could be possible if you had two footprints for each chip.

Also a great proof of concept and allows people to see what sort of team you got here. Wish them luck.

Ya those hammers were priced when the SP10 was just dropping in the marketplace. So they were premium priced chips at that time. Obviously they are not worth that now have to look at the current chip costs, price per gh/s etc and find a good price range that allows you guys some flexibility to get a USB miner to market. A USB miner is about the only possible use for them at this point.

Put a usb style nitelight on it and you got a few sales.

Solar powered option might be interesting for some people.

Dogie sux eggs too.

Ya that part of the statement I would whole heartily agree with.

I doubt that his "contract" with Bitmain will be renewed he has caused them more heartache than help and probably given them a worse reputation rather than helping them avoid confrontations with customers.

Given his ability to bend the truth and stir up enormous amounts of effluent from any thread it goes without saying he is not really a part of Bitmain and something more of a vestigial organ that needs to be removed as it is inflamed and causing some many undesirable side effects.

I left the pool.
Eclipse and Slush is best from my point of view.

I would recommend against Eclipse. It is run and owned by Butterfly Labs. They have done a lot of harm to this community.

Eclipse is not a good recommendation.

At some point that place will get shut down with an IRS or other government entity.

Rock Xie Updates The Community. Trouble is increasing.

Having met Rock Xie before I can only imagine how this young bitcoin businessman is holding together while everything is crumbling around him.

If there is no proper communication with AM investors we all know how it may end.

Here is a tell all story from RockMiner CEO Rock Xie...

Crazy Xiaoqiang: The last thing to talk about AMHash

Waited so long, and finally there is a bulletin, but the disappointing thing, it seems that no substantive content, particularly on AMHash, but also with a serious misleading, so many people think that this project is entirely RockMiner operation. Once again, I expressed disappointment at the same time last clarification.

The following description of the facts are objective facts, if there is any false, I personally would be willing to any and all liability due to bear false information.

AMHash project was commissioned RockMiner ASICMiner responsible for sales and marketing, in the face of a client's project, these operators are ASICMiner forces have been deployed in force in China's Jiangsu Huaian count. Before the project started RockMiner AMHash have experienced severe losses, the RM account was not much money (600 + BTC), we have dared to tamper with, because before proved, the more we produce chips based BE200 mining machine loss more serious.

AMHash Project Origin:

In October 2014, when, on the one hand currency price slump, on the other hand mining machine competition heated up the stage, the mining machine manufacturers not only difficult to complete the sales plan, and sales profits again reached historic lows. According to past experience, the mining machine manufacturers to quickly handle inventory there are two main ways: external sales and self-deployment (including joining deployment). But with the emergence of large-scale mining and professional force cloud count is actually a combination of two ways: the manufacturers themselves deployment, and then calculate the force sold to customers in order to achieve clear inventory, cost recovery, and the ability to earn a profit (maintenance costs).

For AM, the company has been producing mining machine, mining machine problems but the quality and design, although the sales department in order to promote sales of all outsourcing, but has been plagued AM market downturn and the quality of their products bring torture . And this time the force has become popular cloud count, and I had many discussions and roasted cat cloud count feasibility force, as we all know, R & D programs are inherently AM mining machine specifically designed for large-scale deployment, in series, a low-cost, noise, these features mean more suitable for large-scale deployment, not suitable for family-mining.

In addition, AM hands of a few hundred K BE200 chip, if you can not be realized as soon as the remaining chips, will bring greater losses, the longer the time, the chip will be more severe devaluation (born from the chip to the time, the value of the chip has been is half of the original, S5 upcoming news has been flying out). But the chip costs still need a lot of money, the speed and the number of fund-raising has become an important factor in the ability to quickly inventory chip realized, if financing too long, will lead the mining machine to sell / deployment time stretched, will lead to huge losses, which makes the pressure greater than the mining machine.

Inevitably toward large-scale mining development group has become a consensus, and cloud solutions precisely calculate the force as long as possible to ensure the safety of the mine and electricity costs, cloud projects are generally not considered a loss of power, the rapid development of HASHNEST is one example . Based on the status AM company / industry environment and Trend, grilled cat has realized that cloud forces may really be considered the future direction of AM, after many arguments, and I think we can try grilled cat, but the key is to find electricity cheap enough space.

In late 2014 to mid-October, when the cat made roast, AM has been deployed in Huai'an several P operator force is deployed in collaboration with others, can be sold. Prior to this, I AM deployed in Huai'an completely unaware of this project, because there has been no publicly AM, just before the deployment of some of the operators know AM force, but specifically how much, and where exactly is unclear. The project, the biggest risk is that the mine safety and tariffs on these two points, I know very well, and therefore had repeatedly grilled cat confirmation. The answer is that these operators force is already deployed AM, and in the operation, the security without any problems, and very, very cheap electricity, even at the beginning of 10RMB / T / DAY prices, there is still room for price cuts. Finally, taking into account factors such as market reaction, we agreed to try to force the water 1P count.

Please note, AMHash force the operator to sell, not after the deployment of a temporary or sold out, but already exists operator force, which in fact has ruled out a lot of unknown risks, such as the deployment of the time delay, mine design unreasonable electricity result in downtime and so on.

When baked cat discuss the significance of this project, it is clear that sell grilled cat cloud calculate the force is not simply a few existing operators P force to sell, but there are long-term plan that you want to fight a long-AM brand, similar HASHNEST, so, after all remaining BE200 chip count can quickly become a force, such as BE300 even came out, do not worry too much about the problem of mining machine sales, AM can deploy your own machine, and then the count force to sell. In addition, AM and RM that time was already there, including staff seconded some cooperation, including mining machine sales, AMHash project has also become one of them.

Above is AMHash of origin.

AMHash sales force considered the historical process

In October 2014, taking into account that HAVELOCK larger customer base, good reputation influence, we decided to choose and work with them sales, the fact that we made the right choice, HAVELOCK played its role, and is a responsible platform. AMHash1 did not sell much, just over 460 TH, but because just started, did not show the effect of publicity, a lot of people also have doubts AMHash1 rate of return, and therefore did not participate. We also thought that the cloud was not considered force to engage, sell concessions so nobody interested in that direction is wrong. But then the situation was reversed, there have customers asking AMHash thing, and when it opened the second consultation phase of the project.

In late November 2014, we officially launched AMHash2 sales. After the AMHash1 sales force of 460 + T count after, hashie.co in mid-November to contact us, they want AMHash sales agents, in order to promote AMHash brands, increase sales, we have reviewed the qualifications hashie and agreed Their agent qualification, because the platforms are not familiar with, we have been asked to provide sales period hashie 30-80BTC as a deposit, and they need every day with our automated billing, sales commission income beyond the upcoming call us regret things, hashie issued a bulletin to be attacked by hackers in the end of December 2015, we have subsequently launched an emergency plan, a smooth transition to AMHash client platform (there are a few users to apply some still in the process).

AMHash2 sales and marketing AMHash1 similar, but shorter events, sold only 10 days, AMHash2 sold a total of more than 480 TH.

12 months late in 2014, we launched AMHash3, and to develop a marketing plan for Christmas. As a result of the early accumulation of reputation and customers, sales AMHash3 appeared very rapid growth in the first two-month period to sell a total of less than 1P, but the period of time in less than two weeks to sell nearly 2P more This time something happened, HASHIE claimed to have been hacked, we need to users on the move to AMHASH HASHIE or HAVELOCK up. One is based on the needs of brand building, on the other hand also because of the negative impact brought hashie black event, we accelerated the perfect platform for building and AMHash.com functions (including their own development and outsourcing core trading engine features, but ultimately not on the line), then AMHash.com on-line, the customer is responsible for platform dividends, interactive, answering to handle matters of power between different platforms customer count transfer.

AMHash mine problem

Sales are hot, we found through the mine pool API, originally mining accounts for nearly 5P count force, suddenly dropped 3P. I quickly contacted the roast cat, his reply is some failure is mine, is being maintained, will soon be restored. After a period of time yet to deal with (and mine partners appear a little contradictory), to be safe, we recommend to discontinue sales, grilled cat agreed, and decided to stop for some time, and so the new operator on the line after the force Look (you can see the last microblogging mail communication content). Stop sales force in the count of time, we have received hundreds of e-mails asking new sales force calculation time, thought quickly on the line, but due to later calculate the force not only failed to recover, even eventually disappear, and therefore new The sales force has not counted on the line. Being hundreds of emails and phone calls asking customers to continue to sell the plan, I even have a sense of accomplishment, Imagination AMHash brand has finally been recognized by the market, and before efforts were not in vain, AM can develop later, and RM can There are new developments in the space, and then, the fact that this is a fantasy.

After the count force disappears, I continued with the follow-up time for the first time as well as grilled cat communication, get back is always cooperative problem Huai'an mine, they are trying to, but did not disclose any details. And repeatedly stressed that they are producing new machines, the new operator will soon deploy forces in Ningxia and Jiangsu. Later, we all know the situation, the operator has not restored power, grilled cat a lost contact, and AM others say they do not know this thing, unwilling or unable to take responsibility.

AMHash how to deal with the problem

For this problem, recently plagued our core issues, a lot of people (customers, even AM) RM or I want to personally take responsibility, to be honest, we can not afford, or I have.

I am here to go back to RM, although the company serious losses in 2014, but the RM team would also have a great passion for the industry, thinking to do some things, but AMHash blow this thing is too great for the RM. We earn from AMHash project of more than four hundred block tens of thousands of coins and maintenance costs (all other sales have been paid to the designated address roasted cat, we have all the records to prove), in which more than three coins plus original balance currency for external acquisition of shares. Rest of the money, the time a few months we have seven or eight teams, flies extremely hard. Debu nice thing to say, we have five people on secondment to the AM (three core members, two general staff), last year and last month's wages are not paid year-end bonuses AM (currently by RM advance wages). In addition, AM still owe RM Part mining machine sales commission (simply means selling mining machine), as AMHash maintenance fee is owed several months. RM is now no longer any excess funds are our own team members to chip in struggling to stay afloat.

As for me personally, the RM project my original investment in addition to the internal and external public chips, I also added investment, one person accounted for two board seats. The project is on AM losses, had only 5,000 shares AMshares, but behind the share price 4BTC period began, has been repurchased, currently holds AMshares7278 shares, of which more than two hundred shares held on behalf of a friend for help. In order to repurchase these shares over 2000, I spent more than 3,000 BTC. And now, this part of the stock seems to have a tendency to zero (then if the cat has not appeared roast).

In addition, I am most reluctant to announce that the cat is still baked by my personal remaining 1000BTC no return (several months overdue).

On AMHash project, RM or I personally do not derive any unjust enrichment, RM or I personally can not afford at present no obligation to assume responsibility for any funds, we can do, we can only be such as AM willing to deal with this project when sidelines assist them to clarify that how much each investor compensation / bonus, help them communicate with customers, but not substantive action if the AM, we can not do anything.

David made the announcement in English mentioned "the computational that power AMHash managed by RockMiner has become unavailable", the language is very misleading, and calculate the force will AMHash brand mix spoke, giving the impression AMHash is managed by the RM. In fact, AMHash has two levels of meaning: a true force AMHash count, the second is AMHash.com the sales platform. Sales platform indeed RM team to build and maintain, and calculate the force is clearly not our responsibility and capacity, this had explained at the first time of sale.

I told David said, AMHash if not promptly deal will mark a myth shattered, he said: "What? What did not myth myth." I want to say is that it is bound to be on the History of Bitcoin an iconic time, regardless of whether the ultimate grilled cat, will mark an end to the era of personal reputation.

To be honest, it is very big blow for me, changed my views on many things. Although I know many people who like grilled cat, believed that he would come back, still do not believe the cat is subjective roast escape, but he disappeared objective facts, has given a lot of people, including me, causing injury.

To be honest, I'm tired, and I think quietly.

If the roast cat back, or front AM willing to resolve this matter, RM or they will be willing to assist all investor relations AMHash to clarify the exact compensation or dividends are sent to each investor's address.

Everything is like a dream, my main bitcoin career origin roast cat, the cat seems to finally turn the roast edge only.

Insulting me and how my Mom raised me is not the point and has nothing to do with the potential harm this company could do others. Your passive aggressive taunts are misplaced. Use it on Oregon Miners they are the ones here who are circumspect not me.

Again I don't know you and that is the POINT. Who would trust you? I do not see a long reputation of purchases so I will as I said before not trust you and your 'purchase' with these people as any indication that they are LEGIT. Obviously you are getting the run around by them that is a typical thing that Minersource and Technobit were both famous for. You have been warned.

I am going to ignore you from this point forward problem solved for you and me.

----

Does Matt Carson still work with you in any capacity Terrence Thurber (Owner of DG Rollins Mining)? When you called me on the phone the same day I posted the first time here you didn't answer that question and you still are not answering here.

Your travels to Black Arrow and Spondoolies together is a clear indication that you have had a long and close business relationship and it would be best if you were to help out those who lost money from Minersource to have a contact number of Matt given you have it Terrence.

So Bitmain makes good on customer complaint.

I think personally this customer puts it in perspective. I am still recommending Bitmain not necessarily because they are best in customer service or because they deliver on time all the time but because they do listen. They do try and they will work things out with customers given you get the right line of communication going. That means what for consumers? If you ever have a problem go directly to the US support numbers and be persistent.

Of the t-shirt that is.

Wow after this story bitmain is a big NO NO to me. Where from did you gather enought nerves to wait that long time without compensation?
Mind tell us how mutch did you exactly lose in that time? I'd just gater it up, write up summs in excel and tell them to cover it.
It's their fault anyway.

I'm kind of like Batman. See OP for amount.

.                                                                                                                                                                                                                .

Update: I spoke with a representative from Bitmain on the phone. I have three articles to share.

1) Advice for anyone in a similar situation
A. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
Okay, now the real stuff.
B. Document everything as I did above, especially, the timeline.
This will make things significantly simpler for everybody. I will admit that I presented this documentation in this thread before I shared it with Bitmain. I did this because I assumed that because they were the second party involved in this series of events, they understood it in the same light I did. This is not true. A big reason, being, I'm sure, that I spoke with multiple representatives throughout the 2+ months.
C. Share the documentation with the manufacturer before you publish it.
As soon such information enters the public domain, both parties are encumbered by public opinion. In a court of law, this can be potentially construed as blackmail or extortion. The manufacturer, in this case, is then precluded from further cooperation. The purchaser, is then vulnerable to legal action. This is extremely sensitive. Note that it is okay to publish, but if you do, expect nothing. Consider yourself effectively forfeiting any opportunity.

2) My impression of the process
My impression is that Bitmain is busy. This is not unethical nor malicious. It is a lean model, which is due for an iteration. The best I can think to do as consumers is to encourage RMA Process Development through positive feedback.
In speaking with the Bitmain USA Rep, I got the impression that they do want to help. We are all in a maturing industry, which requires patients from both organizations and individuals. Self disclosure: I also work in an immature industry and completely understand the difficulty of doing business in a rough industrial environment - it's still the wild west, as they say.

3) My concerns are addressed
As mentioned, the publication of documentation, as I have done, assumes an encumbrance. Thus, regardless of Bitmain policy, compensation is not an appropriate option. I am inclined to avoid further encumbrance, so I will simply say that my concerns were addressed. Sorry for the lack of narrative; I promise nothing extraordinary happened, only some well had communication... Nah! Just kidding, I'l provide some closure: they offered a fair sliding scale refund based on down time. The refund has been declined, but I think it is appropriate and am a happy Bitmain customer in the end.

I am not above posting a tip jar if you found this information helpful: 1CaWCw2tj5zmRdDDSNiT5NP3HDdzshiXs5

You would think that the mainland authorities in China would be interested in arresting people like this using cover to hide their fraud. Have they been reported to the authorities in China? Provincially?
475  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Blackarrow EWallet. DO NOT BUY. on: March 20, 2015, 01:22:11 AM

(1) there existing defects in the commodities;

(2) not possessing the properties for use they should possess and no declaration thereabout is made at the time of sale;

(3) not conforming to the standards indicated on the commodities or on the packaging thereof;

(4) not conforming to the state of quality indicated by the product description or by physical samples;

(5) producing commodities that have been formally declared by the State to be eliminated or selling commodities that are no longer effective or deteriorated;

(6) commodities sold being short of weight or quantity;

(7) contents and costs of services being not in conformity with the agreements;

(8) deliberately delaying or unreasonably refusing consumers requests for repair, remanufacture, replacement, return of goods, makeup for the short commodities, return of payment for goods or services, or compensation for losses;

While it's possible that the whole OM things is a fake, I don't think Barbara is. Just over in Lee's thread, she purchased one of the S5's from phillipma1957 for $380. Phillip made some money over his original $340 cost, and she did better than the current $419 from Lee. I am 100% certain that transaction took place based on Phillip's public comments.

I don't know how to respond to the whole Minersource connection. It just seems to me that Barbara is legit, and if it's a fraud, she'll lose her money. I think her reporting is accurate and we won't really know anything for at least a month. She'll be able to tell if her pool is delivering as expected, and even if they are a Ponzi scheme, they won't fold up shop for at least a month I would guess.

It's funny to me that one of the largest risks today with Bitcoin isn't technical, it's the entire lack of trust that permeates mining. All the technology embedded within crypto currencies, and it still boils down to trust.

yeah it did really happen she purchased 1 from me was polite >  I won't show any pm's but she is real enough to send me  the coin.

for 1 s-5 hosted by lee in  china.  She also made purchases from lee before buying mine .

As for OregonMines I have chosen to not buy any.  I also am in the process of using the funds sent to me by Nightshiftgirl and 3 others buyer to repair or replace my Furnace's chimney.

Bick I know you try to point out bad sellers and have picked some bad ones correctly. I think NightshiftGirl is a legit customer.  I think OregonMines is spotty  without a good track record.

I think she is fine with 1 item but not 10 items with them at this point. After Oregonmines shows they are good or bad she can add more machines or chose to not add anymore.

Regardless.

The fact remains Oregon Mines is suspect and not very forthcoming with regards to Matt Carson's involvement.

1 purchase is not really something to build a reputation on for Oregon Miners especially given their very close relations with Matt Carson. You don't take trips with Matt Carson to Hong Kong to see Black Arrow with the owner of Oregon Mines in tow or Spondoolies in Israel as a lark. There is a lot more going on here than a few private units for sale and rent.

Again let me apologize for being blunt with Barbara. If she is a legitimate customers then fine but we have seen the long con before with faux / shill accounts that promote company XYZ for payment etc and then basically attempt to boost sales when there is obviously problems.

Now I am still not giving Barbara the benefit of the doubt yet but I will extend my hand and say that if you are not a shill or sockpuppet then please understand that others who might want to deal with this company in larger orders etc could be getting set up for a loss even if your 1 miner deal is all roses and petunias.

We have yet to see any REPLY about Matt Carson's involvement and again I am certain that the owner of Oregon Miners is in contact or can contact Matt Carson at any point. So those seeking restitution from Matt Carson should contact the owner.
477  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow Customers - Consumer Complaints Links on: March 19, 2015, 06:39:28 AM
Not sure if this is new or helpful either but I finally received an email from the Hong Kong police over the online report that I've lodged quite some time ago.

They requested for more information about the transaction & I've furnished them with some attachments that hopefully will provide them a better lead in their investigation.

For those of you who made payment to BlackArrow's Hong Kong HSBC account & have yet to done so, I would strongly recommend that you submit an online police report at this link (https://secure1.info.gov.hk/police/eforms/report_cyber_crime_en.php) to lend a helping hand to the Hong Kong police in their investigation on Black Arrow.

The more people who submit reports the better. Even if you have no plan to come to hk you might as well if you were cheated and have evidence (i.e. payment receipts, emails, etc). The likelihood is these assholes are still in hk/china or will come back at some time to wrap up their affairs there. when  they do get caught you might get lucky and receive compensation.

Not true, I have reported to the HK police and they reported me back with, that it is not their area where black arrow company is, and they cannot help me further.

Today I have received email of black arrow, and the scam company told me they cannot refund me because the agreement and contract states that they will not refund. And If I don't claim the goods, they will assume as I have gifted the goods to Black Arrow.

That is totally a bullshit. The agreement (when placed the order and paid for the goods) never had those lines. And I do not agree with them.

The last option is for now, that I am planning to go to shenzen and chat with a lawyer over there to declare Black Arrow Software bankrupt. And will claim my money.

So if there are people that are willing to join, send me a PM.

I emailed bitcz several times, but he is not responding to my email.

Time to go to the Mainland authorities in Shenzen then right?

I might be new but I resent you calling me names without knowing me. I am a 67 year old retired woman, trying to stay busy.  I was a senior VP and was quite busy and made a lot of decisions involving several millions at a time.  I also made good money and retired and was bored out of my mind.

I have miners at home, but I can only have a few,

I have been staying busy studying Bitcoin, I have also purchased coin for a long position.

I have some money to play with and if I loose it all I do not care..  I have several miners with Lee in China,  I have  some hosted miners with asicspace here in Washington, and now I have a miner with Oregon Mines.  If it works out I will get more.  Risk is part of life. If I could not afford to loose the money I wouldn't play.    I have spent more than 500.00 for a hotel room in the past and will again in the future.

If I find other operations to host or purchase from it will be my decision

My risk is lower because I do not put all of my eggs in one basket.

I would suggest you get over yourself and your need to control the world.

Besides I need the tax write offs if the whole thing crashes.  If not my grand kids can have fun with the coin after I am gone

So this sock puppet says good night

This is small money I am playing with, but I have fun, and it keeps my mind busy learning new things

If this turns bad I will write about it but I have no need to tell others how handle their money,

Barbara

Barbara we have seen this story before particularly with Technobit shills and sockpuppets saying how great the service and miners are then POOF! Many people get scammed.

Not sure why you would not expect someone to call out anyone just parachuting into this thread of all threads and plopping down money on a risky venture. Further ignoring the hundreds of thousands of dollars stolen from customers as a result of a close friend of the owner of Oregon Mines. It just begs the question can I really trust that you are who you say you are Barbara. I don't have to believe you no matter how angry you get at me. What I find funny is you do not even mention the possibility that Matt Carson is involved in this. I guess you have not been following the hardware section very long. Also you seem to ignore the fact his "friend" who runs Oregon Mines is basically ignoring the question being asked 'Is Matt Carson involved in this venture or anything to do with Oregon Mines?'

Again my apologies for being BLUNT but unless you are showing us sales receipts etc with some sort of ID to back it all up or someone unrelated to either Minersource or Oregon Mines can verify all this impartially, no one is going to take your word for any of it. Nor should they. Caveat Emptor extends beyond you it extends to anyone reading this thread with a good dose of skepticism. Your reputation is ZERO in this medium and unless you have done a lot of business prior to this with known members of this community who can be trusted why should we even believe what you post? It is a fair question to ask. Getting all angry at me won't shake that resolve to ask the right questions like who the hell are you and why should we trust you?

Hell Barb you could be Matt Carson's mom for all we know. Maybe you are just Matt Carson who knows. No one here knows you or Oregon Miners from a hole in the ground and given there is a relationship ongoing with Matt Carson you should be very worried about putting any funds at all in this investment. Again anyone reading this should do more to find out who is really behind this company get particulars and find out who they are in case they do run. That is just smart investing whether you Barbara take that advice I don't really care however I do care about anyone who might invest in basically a losing proposition that will never ROI. Do the math you'd be better off with Hashnest or other like services from PCfli who have a reputation for not RUNNING away with people's cash and who respond directly to questions. Do your homework people there is no deal here.

I asked Dogie, and he got me an email address and I asked them for samples and they gave me a price. I bought 40, and we'll probably end up using all of them.

I think we have some as well.

I will see if I can get the Engineer to send them to you as we are no longer working on our project. They were free samples I asked for but better they go to someone who can use them. USA to USA right?
