41  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much would it cost to drive BTC to $100? on: January 21, 2013, 10:11:07 AM
Arvicco, it'd be fairly easy to get a large portion of the markets BTC before the prices were to shoot up. At most you'd be looking at a $5-$20 increase in the time you were buying all of them. Someone with significant funds, this wouldn't be a problem.

If I had 1,000,000 or 1,000,000,000. I'd be able to spend most of it on BTC in the first few months, buying them for over market price wouldn't drive it up because it'd only be one person doing it. If several people were to do it, it would sky rocket. I would say 75% of the way through your funds is when you'd really have a worry about prices rising and BTC becoming unavailable.
42  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before lending your coins!) on: January 21, 2013, 09:02:11 AM
It doesn't bother me it's just that he has had my name up there ever since I joined. It's like he just puts every newcomer up there that posts around a lot in the market and maybe he gets lucky once or twice. I'm pretty sure I've seen loads of names taken off there that weren't scammers, so you're percentage is pretty much null.

Anyone can make a thread and post peoples names up who post in the market section when they first join or are looking for high loans, do you think you're like some kind of special analyst that can detect when somebody is going to scam? I guarantee you if I had the time I would make a list and be 90% right, but I don't know enough about BTC or this forum to do it. The other forums I've been on for a few years I can tell when somebody is ban evading, let alone going to scam. Pretty easy to be honest, so making this list is just bringing out statistics, I wish I could challenge you to see how many scammers I could catch, but I don't know the forum or this market well enough to do so.

It'd only take a few months if you had the right funds. I'd just buy them all and hoard them for about 5 years, then dump them for like +900% profit

BTC4Amazon can do it for you, just pm him, he has a site for these kind of bumper stickers.
48  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: <Bounty> 1 BTC for the least worded T-Shirt on: January 20, 2013, 11:50:02 AM
Lol, but Paypal, Moneybookers, Liberty Reserve, all replace paper money.

Not really. Paper money is more-or-less anonymous and decentralized, and so is Bitcoin.

Centralized services cannot offer anonymity of that kind. They are more like an internetsy version of electronic money, but NOT paper money replacement.

Not really anything that gets the onlookers attention tbh or make them want to look up BTC.

Yep maybe it is a bit too subtle, but on the other hand comparing Bitcoin to PayPal is just distasteful IMHO.

Yeah :/ , I would of done something different but all I read from the main post was "make a shirt that is similar to this one" and it was about Paypal D: lol.
49  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking For A Legitimate Loan on: January 20, 2013, 10:24:42 AM
BUMP. STILL NEED THIS.

However, I only need 20 BTC now. Paying back 22 BTC in one month.
50  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before lending your coins!) on: January 20, 2013, 10:18:37 AM
This thread is to identify people who post like a SCAMMER, and unfortunately you fit the template to a tee.

Dude, how thick is your skull? Don't put people up here and not take them off you ignorant prick. How about I make a stickied list and put your name at the top and label you a scammer? I've already been trusted with $100 dickhead so get over yourself. Either remove my name or I'll request a mod to remove it for you. Sound good?
