Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millis or Millies?

The correct one would technically be "mill", as that is the proper term for 1/1000 of a currency unit.
Sounds a lot like "million"--e.g. "A cool mil"

It's definitely something a lot of folks here would like to see. However, until it comes out of private testing, I cannot donate; for reasons I'm certain you could understand. There's a lot of scams going around on this board, so it's tough to donate to anything without more info. Anyway, let us know when the site goes up and I'll take another look.

Yeah, I can understand that.
I've found even less work as a poet.
...But I have to make a living somehow.
I also take offense to being condescended upon. Money isn't the end-all be-all. It's simply a symbolic representation of false value that is used to determine a service/good based on the particular notions of value as defined by whomever is making the rules.
I'm not sure if that was aimed at me, but if it was, I apologize; I wasn't trying to be condescending. The problem is, most of us live in a capitalistic society, and that's the problem any artist will face; it doesn't matter if I'm a genius writer or artist, if I don't find a way to monetize. It turns everyone into whores for cash. But that's just life as it stands. I highly recommend watching the Zeitgeist films by Peter Joseph if you haven't. Seems right up your alley. But as I said earlier, if you're not incredible/one-of-a-kind in your artistry, as in, THE guy everyone needs to get their writing/drawing needs, then you won't find a lot of work. You're asking for work in an over-saturated market, and there are more writers and artists than we really need to keep our way of life chugging along.

That sounds pretty handy. The biggest issue I have with fiat at the moment is moving money around; a wire transfer shouldn't take 5 days to clear. Really, anything which can securely hold my assets and swap them from one and the other on the fly has my full support.
Does this proposed bank have a name? A website? Any further info besides this post?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC Wall movement Tracker on Vircurex

I've been wondering who'd actually buy TRC at a high quantity? What incentives and value do they see in this currency?
Well, it's not fiat, so that's always a good starting point. AFAIK it's pretty similar to Bitcoin. So it's mostly speculation; if I buy in now, and TRC goes up really high in price, I'll be rich! It doesn't mean much to be not a fiat currency if no one wants to use it. BTC has lived for 4+ years and trust has grown, TRC is relatively new. I was particularly interested if people have a particular interest for TRC if it wasn't for all the speculations. You have a point. However, the more people adopt it, the more people admit to wanting to use it. Generally, an increase of price on any crypto-currency shows that more people are picking it up. There was a point in time where Litecoin was known by very few, and it traded for very little. But now even I have Litecoin, just to have it. I suspect there will be more than one major crypto-currency in the future, as opposed to Bitcoin being the only popular one; tho BTC will likely always reign king, I wouldn't say the other coins never reach such a level.

I've found animation is a fantastic way to draw when you put effort in and I find it more rewarding than drawing manga, bollocks! >_> I also found that it's a brilliant way to keep you more occupied in your work because the pictures are moving ( I don't know why but I find stills boring now no matter how detailed they are ) and it's great for getting proportions correct because it will be immediately obvious if something is wrong.
It's a hell of a way to draw, tho. Try producing a minute's worth of animation at 15 FPS and you'll be in tears.

Gay (in the case of GayPal) is an expression of discontent; it has nothing to do with homosexuals in this context.
Here's how it works in action:
Bro one: "Amazon failed to deliver my package so now I gotta dispute it."
Bro two: "That's gay."
or
Bro one: "I have to attend my girlfriend's choir recital so I can't drink brewskis tonight."
Bro two: "Gay."
And to be frank, gay never meant homosexual to begin with. The English language is an evolving creature.
