941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: March 05, 2023, 07:08:26 PM
You only share your good news, not your gambling strategy, I hope newbies won't get hooked with this type of news and start developing some kind of unrealistic dream, makes sure you know what you are doing and gamble responsibly with the amount you are ready to lose. Avoid getting addicted to gambling by all means.
But this is to be expected, if you had a way to actually earn profits from sports bets it is unlikely you will share it, as this strategy will be the result of countless hours of study and many tries which probably cost you a fortune, so when people ask to those gamblers what strategy they use it is completely understandable that they do not reveal their strategy to others as no one will be willing to share such valuable information for free.

There's a saying that goes, "if you are good at something, never do it for free"

And that's what exactly the OP did and as well as for other bettors who successfully found a way how to earn more profits with less risks during betting. But the OP mentioned that he did share some piece of information to his friends but most of them didn't believe him and didn't at least supported their friend by wagering a few spare funds, now that the OP made a huge success on that particular bet, I bet those friends are reflecting on themselves that if only they listened, they could've been sleeping under a fortune pillow.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 05, 2023, 04:40:16 PM
That's right, Inoue is not your ordinary boxer who's is easy to predict and evident to see his limits. Currently, there's no boxer that managed to unlock Inoue's weakness and Donaire was the only boxer who actually gave him a good toe-to-toe fight but even that fight wasn't enough to show his weakness and up until now, it's still a mystery and it will be an expensive move by any boxer just to know what is it.

For weakness of Inoue to unfold, he just needs to fight a better boxer than he is.  He may be dominated the bantamweight division, but I do not think that he will do the same in the super bantamweight.  Super Bantamweight is a different division and there are several known boxers that can possibly defeat Inoue in this division.  The boxer in this division have heavier punches and more resistance to blows or punches, and since Inoue is taking a shortcut, he probably doesn't know the extent of the punching power of this division.

Again with this shortcut thing Grin

Really? Why do people keep on insisting that Inoue did a much easier path that directs him to the championship fight when in-fact he earned it because he managed to unify all the belts at 118 and then there's this WBO who gave him a super-champion title which mandates that he can fight directly with Fulton and not Murodjon.

Did you honestly expect that Inoue and the other guys who did a successful run in their previous division to start at the bottom? That's a perk, not a shortcut. They earned it.

Quote
Super Bantamweight is a different division and there are several known boxers that can possibly defeat Inoue in this division
A different division but not that really different as the difference was just 4 lbs or a kilo and a half. Also, Inoue already had some signs previously before he made the climb that 118 might not be suitable for him anymore as his weight continues to add up, so there's a huge chance that 122 might be his natural weight.

I guess it's the other way around Cheesy

I agree because that's somehow normal already for the champions to face another champions directly in the upper weight class and that includes Naoya Inoue as he unified all the belts in bantamweight.
Like for example the legendary Manny Pacquaio, I'm quite positive enough that he cannot attain such feat to be an 8-Division world champion if he started at the bottom in his every climb in the upper weight classes.
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins? on: March 03, 2023, 10:17:47 AM
Before putting their money into alternative cryptocurrencies, people have a variety of reasons for wanting to investigate the opinions of others first. One possible explanation is the notoriously high risk and volatility associated with cryptocurrencies. It's also possible that some purchasers will operate under the assumption that other people have the knowledge necessary to evaluate and select the best coins for investment purposes. Another reason buyers might look to the opinions of others is to validate their own beliefs and hypotheses regarding the cryptocurrency market by comparing them to those of other people.
trying to get input and opinions from others before putting their money into altcoins is certainly a good thing. it will be a consideration for every investor before purchasing. but those who are more experienced have their way of determining the projects they will invest in.
most of them own altcoins only for the short term. it also depends on the project. Not many new altcoins last long on the market, once they are traded they are quickly discarded.
those who like to invest following the hype will be fine with their experience. but for beginners, it will just throw their money in a shitcoin trap.
Choosing altcoins for long-term investment is not really a good idea. And even ETH, I don't consider it as well. I don't say it was because I don't trust them but as we can see, they are heavily affected when there is a market crisis and it dumps more, some just die. That is why people are asking as they also wanted to know what their experience was from a particular project so they already have some ideas. And for beginners, this could be necessary but of course, making our own research is indeed important.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 03, 2023, 06:18:36 AM
I am from Philippines but I didn’t know that there’s such a thread about PBA. I am a basketball fan (I do play). PBA is the first professional basketball league in Asia and was founded in 1975. It currently consists of 12 teams and plays two conferences per year: the Philippine Cup and the Governor's Cup. Each conference typically lasts for 2-3 months, with a short break in between.

There’s also an alternative league but imports are not allowed only natural pinoy can play MPBL where in teams represents provinces of the country like Saranggani team or Cebu team.

Welcome to this thread! This thread has been here for a while, and we are discussing the latest updates of the PBA and our predictions about the games. I hope you will enjoy your stay here. If you are also a fan of sports betting, then I'm sure you would love to share and learn at the same time.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all these crypto-twitter "influencers" are still exist? on: March 02, 2023, 01:15:34 PM
Perhaps, it was the idea for an exchange platform to pay influencers to work with them and use their influence and power to attract and convince people to do trading while showing their money (fake money). Offering decent pay, these influencers will surely work hard and pay back what they have agreed with. We can't question them actually because they are just looking for a job but too unfortunate that this only lead to ruining their reputation.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 02, 2023, 09:55:10 AM
[snip]
I think it will still be the style of Fulton vs the power of the Monster. Their skills sets might be equal at this stage. But the power will be at Inoue as we have seen that he has that knockout power. And for sure Fulton knows this one and going to try to avoid it as possible without getting hit.
That is an interesting matchup between Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue. As you mentioned, Fulton's style and Inoue's power will likely play a big role in the fight. While their skill sets may be relatively equal --but for me, Inoue's knockout power is certainly something to watch out for. I have this doubt and I don't think if you notice this too, Fulton will likely try to avoid getting hit by Inoue's power punches while using his own technical skills and footwork to try and outmaneuver him. It will be a test of Fulton's defensive abilities as well as his ability to counter Inoue's power with his own shots --it is worth noting that Fulton has shown his own punching power in his recent fights, so he should not be underestimated in this regard

Yeah, we will definitely be looking for Inoue's power in this division. Again, others might question if he still has it in at 122 lbs since he beat almost everyone at bantamweight with a KO. But since he steps up the plate, this will be his biggest test for far as he will be facing the champion at this weight class. But 4 lbs is not that any difference for boxers and for even average joe person. I mean we can increase our weight and remain the same or even in the case of Inoue he will have more power as there is no is issues as far as making the weight right now.

Exactly, he just moved up a bit and I don't think that will reduce his power and speed. Inoue is very ambitious and does not stay in just one division. He has big goals as a boxer, and his journey so far is already very impressive. He likes to add more accomplishments in new divisions.

Most of us are thinking that Inoue is going to win by KO as a possible outcome of this fight, but that still remains to be seen as he is fighting a champion.
947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: March 02, 2023, 09:33:26 AM
snip~
Bitcoin is a trading tool, it will not remain static. Sometimes we see big bitcoin crashes which is very normal. Bitcoin will crash and recover again these two things are very common in bitcoin. Many may have stopped dreaming about Bitcoin after 2018 but the years 2020 and 2021 have made that dream come true. It started falling again in 2022 and now it is trying to recover again in 2023. This is how it will continue. But the most important thing is that those who believed in Bitcoin were the gainers later. But as a newbie you need to know some things thoroughly if you want to convince someone. Only then will you be able to raise awareness of Bitcoin among others.
Like most of the time the best way to lead is by example, and the OP is simply not ready to do this, I say this because if they were ready to do this then they will not need to ask if bitcoin will crash on the future, as anyone that has experimented a bear market before knows the answer to that question and they can even describe the feelings they went through at the time when this happened, and even if the OP wants to help his friend to become part of this market he is not in the possibility of doing so, and instead they should help themselves and learn more about this market and how it works before they try to influence others.
I'd see that OP is having a hard time explaining it to his friend because, in the first place, he is not sure as well of what he is doing. If I am his friend asking him, I won't also trust his statement/advice because I can't see it to myself. Now that he is asking the forum, it was noted that he is not capable enough to teach his friend, not because he might don't have long market experience but also because he never trust Bitcoin as well.
This is the reason why we can see a lot of false and misinformation circulating on the internet which could lead us to a different directions.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no way to know unless I ask on: March 01, 2023, 01:20:40 PM
What kind of insurance you would like to ask OP? Because if you ask for insurance when your wallet gets hacked, never heard of any company doing this now. But if you are talking about insurance from your deposited money to the exchanges, that was already the responsibility of the exchange to give back the money of their users once they got hacked but I'm not sure if it was given back in full amount. I'd see major exchanges like Binance offering this but we can't expect instant money back, it certainly takes time because of huge numbers.
949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade?? on: March 01, 2023, 09:42:20 AM
Well, I looked forward to how you changed your approach toward the market volatility and how you corrected your mistakes. Because it was not just about hearing suggestions or recommendations but also how you interact with the market performance. Even if you invest in Bitcoin or potential altcoins but still never gives you a profit assurance as it will depend on how you make decisions about when to buy or sell, and when to hold.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 01, 2023, 08:03:34 AM
Yes, pretty much that will be the story line, if Davis losses this fight, he has 30 days to exercised the right for a rematch. That's usually rematch clauses works and Ryan doesn't have right to call for a rematch even if it is so close until Tank Davis says so.

And obviously that is their contention and it seems that GBP has given that clause to Davis camp. So everything is base on Ryan, on whether he is going to defeat Davis and then activating the rematch clause.

He will be more inspired to train hard so that a rematch can happen. Davis has given a favor here, but it still depends on the outcome of the fight. If Ryan wins, then he will be okay with a rematch as it will mean another opportunity to earn a significant amount of money.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 01, 2023, 07:21:07 AM
The PBA is now back, with the game starting early today at 3:00 pm. For those who missed betting, you can still place a live bet. The game is currently close one, but we do not know if it will stay this way. So, what are you waiting for? Bet on your favorite team now!

As for my bet, I have ROS @4.00
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you safe? Think again and be safe. [For newbies] on: February 28, 2023, 10:17:06 PM

There are several phrase keys for wallets that as shown in the image has a lot of tokens that worth so much. Or rather, what they want for you to believe. Those are fake tokens or fake images.

This is surely from a scammer trying to scam people. I know because I faced these before. But for newbies! What would they do? Everyone has greed, some can control it and others get wind up in these situations where their greed takes over their judgement.

Let's just say you got greedy and tried to get those moneys for yourself. You will import those key into your wallet right? Wait, hold on just a minute! Never do that.

It was too easy for now on the internet and many applications to use to fake up information and even look legit. Scammers had always done this to encourage readers/viewers to invest with them and actually got some victims. Well, if you are greedy for money, you can really think it was an opportunity but unfortunately, this will also cost you from your losing your hard-earned money into the hands of scammers. In fact, it happens countless times and if this still happens to us, it is our fault already not these scammers.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: February 28, 2023, 09:54:35 PM
I couldn't think it joining anymore but by chance given the opportunity and seeing that airdrop is worth participating in, then why not? But if we are talking about hunting them and spending/wasting our time digging into hundreds or thousands of airdrops, I don't think so.
I guess we are not new to the information about fraud and scam airdrops, and I can't afford to lose my personal information as well into them especially when asking for KYC.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 28, 2023, 09:28:11 AM
Now they are really fighting and it seems that the Lakers made a wise move.

But even though they have won that game, it doesn't hide the fact that they are still getting down at that big lead. They can't expect to have that big comeback as always. That's an impressive win they did but not all the time, luck will come to them.

We can't still say that the Lakers made a wise move if they will always experience being down a big lead.

If in their next game, the same situation will happen, the chance of getting into the playoffs is still slim.
The Lakers are getting better because they have won their last three matches over strong teams. Having said that, it remains to be seen whether or not they are a serious contender for the playoffs. There are too many NBA teams now that are getting stronger and more capable so improving the team does not mean they are already a great team. From the beginning to the end of their matches, the Lakers need consistency. Not just by winning with a comeback, which is impossible all the time, especially for defensive teams like the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.
They need to make sure that they'll reach the playoffs first. Yes, there has been some major improvement as they now know how to come back from a huge deficit and win games. I'm referring to their recent match where Dallas had a large lead, but the Lakers came back. As long as Davis is healthy, I think we can always trust them to be a great playoff team.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 28, 2023, 09:00:51 AM
In boxing, there are casual trash talks that are common. However, Thurman made an effort for his trashtalks to become personal. In order to distract Pacquiao, he attempted to get under his skin but failed deliberately.

Errol Spence will force Keith Thurman to kiss the canvas. Thurman was down by the body punch of Pacquiao and Spence is more well known for working on the bodies of his opponents. By TKO, Thurman will lose.

They have their own strategy, and I believe what Thurman did to Pacman, which is trash-talking, is not to distract him but to gain the attention of the fans and market their upcoming fight. Pacman will not be affected by any trash talk, as he has been in boxing for more than a decade already, so it's not new to him.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 27, 2023, 01:11:08 PM
Congrats go to Dame on his career night with one of the highest single game scoring performances in NBA history. The craziest thing about the story though is how the NBA pulled a vial of his blood immediately following the game for blood testing. Dame said it absolutely killed one of the greatest moments of his career and was the first time he ever had to give blood for a PED test.
It's not surprising; it seems like that's the current rule that the NBA has adopted. I still remember when Mitchell dropped a career-high 71 points, and he was also tested after the game. Congratulations to Dame, who had fun with the lack of defense of the Rockets. He couldn't miss his 3-point shots and is now second to Klay Thompson for most 3-pointers made in a single game. Lillard made 13, while Thompson made 14.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 27, 2023, 11:57:01 AM
I'm betting for the Gilas to score over 90.5 points @1.90 here.

Almost there, you only needed one point to win that bet, but it's just unfortunate that Scottie Thompson missed both free throws. It was a good effort on his part to get that offensive rebound and draw a foul, but he missed the most crucial free throws. We had the opportunity to win, but the last shot by Ray Parks Jr. also didn't go in.

Still, a big congratulations to the Philippines for coming back from a huge deficit. It just fell short, though.
958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with profitability on: February 27, 2023, 11:44:28 AM
Earning $5 daily is not really compensable if you are trading the whole day while risking $1000 but never I think also this is the only we got for every day, we can make good trades the following day, maybe. But if we just spend 3-5 hours and got $5 as a minimum profit daily, I think that was good enough at least we did something than losing $5. We can't expect huge profits using Bitcoin for trading unless we use altcoin but yes, consider the high risk which could possibly lose your money in a day.
959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 24, 2023, 09:41:15 AM
Wasting time varies from person to person. If I work at a job that generates income of $10 an hour, then trading will be a waste of time if I cannot generate $3 an hour. Likewise, if I am unemployed and cannot find a job, then $3 is more than enough.
Adequate time is required for trading. He will never be able to achieve success in trading platform if he does not give time to trading platform. Trading is not enough for a job that can earn $10 an hour. You must give yourself enough time to trade. After giving enough time when he sees that his trading is losing, he will lose patience and it will be a waste of time for him on the trading platform. But yes the trading platform will be suitable enough for those who do not work and spend their time sitting all the time. If they can earn $3 to $10 per hour or per day it will be enough income for them.
I'm not sure about your strategy for trading and your time management but I don't spend the whole day trading. If we can spend 5 hours on the computer, that I consider enough for the day...we need also a break. But in this case, we just earn 10$ an hour, I think that was enough to compensate for the day, like having 50$ is big enough for newbies, but a pro-trader can perhaps do more. Generally, it was not a waste of time to just roam around spending money and time on unnecessary stuff.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: February 24, 2023, 06:54:31 AM
I remember XRP replacing ETH before at the top 2 position but that was the time where XRP still have no issue with SEC. Now, they are still hanging around and just waiting for the decision of the SEC, for me XRP is still a good one because they are able to get more investors and business partners even if they are centralized. Doing DCA with XRP can be good but its not a guaranteed return since they are still facing problem with SEC.
I saw that happen but to look at it happen again, I don't think that we'll ever see it again. With all of those partnerships and usage for transfers, they're still able to remain at the top spot in the market.
But once the SEC decision comes out and they've lost against it, I'd expect the quick bottoming of this coin because that's how the market these days with such negative news.
but that happened only for a short time mate and If my memory serves me well? this is about the time before the final blow of XRP and dumped after maintaining 3rd position before the case being filed?
but indeed that XRP once become a ranking coin but did not maintain that position because of lack of trust from true investors.
That case hasn't been done yet which causes investors to likely distrust and move away from this coin. It was an underlying situation that XRP has now and investors consider this as a potential to collapse once the SEC releases the decision. Therefore, we can say that XRP has no longer a good investment, might it stays on the market for awhile but can't assure it will remain in its position 10 years from now or might we never see it anymore?
Well, not just XRP but many coins that are on the top 20 could probably replace by others.
