1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner's Luck on: Today at 08:18:13 AM
Quite the opposite my friend, most beginners tend to lose right away and then quit forever as a result. The winners you see pulling through are the ones that defied the odds to win consistently very early, which is why they stuck around long enough to be noticed.
I can see the logic in your comment, it can be like that, but every case is unique, we talk about people here, every person have its own mind, and we need to consider so many factors when we talk about individuals. I think luck is something important in gambling, to be in the right place in the right time, to make big bets and win big. After so much gambling I think luck, courage, emotion control, bankroll, are the important factors in gambling, you need to have more from each of them to be successful in gambling in long term.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic of traders on: Today at 06:34:48 AM
Every day I see more and more people starting to feel hopeless with the current market situation because of uncertainty when prices will recover and end this fall. Even more and more traders are deciding to resign from trading and sell all of their assets but that makes the price even more falling.

I think they should be less in the market. It's better for who expect a lower price. Also more believers to Bitcoin will help sturdy increase the future price. Just stay calm and wait for the price change.
And everyday I`m confused, what people want from bitcoin price, to rise all the time? Like some magic investment, you deposit money today, price rise tomorrow, you sell and have profit, you can see that in the movies, this is the real world. Some people expect too much, current market situation is ok, we don`t have nothing to worry about, and for those who want`s price to rise all the time I recommend to go to doctor, maybe something isn`t alright with their heads! People who have problems with market shouldn`t be here at all, they can invest some money, save them and just wait, they don`t need to check every hour for changes.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Switzerland a cryptocurrency heaven? on: September 19, 2018, 09:50:28 AM
Switzerland – the Country Which Has Become Cryptocurrency Paradise

Switzerland is on the first place out of ten most crypto-friendly countries in the world. Positive treatment of cryptocurrencies, welcoming taxation environment and government’s support have made the country a desirable place for technological development and a paradise for crypto enthusiasts.

Switzerland, Crypto Sector and European Union
What are cryptocurrencies? “Private money” in Germany, “utility and security tokens” in France and “transferable value” in Denmark. In Switzerland, however, cryptocurrencies are defined as assets, therefore, they don’t fall under strict regulations.

Moreover, since August 1, 2017, the country has introduced new simplified policies regarding fintech business management to make the sector more accessible for blockchain companies and startups.

For instance, several amendments have been added, such as the amendment to the Banking Ordinance (BankO). According to it, accepting public funds up to CHF 1 million, firms could apply business models without authorisation.

The simplifications of the rules were suggested with the purpose to enhance the competitiveness of the Swiss financial area.

How Does Switzerland Support ICOs?
Talking about ICOs, according to the PwC report, in the first 5 months of this year, 537 ICOs have been successfully conducted. The amount of capital raised is USD 13.7 billion, which is more than all ICOs launched before 2018 combined have raised. Switzerland has played one of the main roles in the process, remaining a key global ICO hub.

For support of initial coin offerings and Blockchain in general, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has released guidelines for regulating ICOs. They are mostly treated as securities with some exceptions for utility tokens and means of payment.

What Has Crypto Community Already Done in 2018?
Switzerland is an outstanding country in a way how it applies DLT in various industries apart from finances and shows the innovative practical use cases.

First municipal voting with Blockchain
On July 1, the Swiss Crypto Valley has successfully completed the testing of the DLT-based voting system. For the purpose, Zug’s electronic ID system was used, and utilizing DLT, the process was completed without the single server. According to the results, most of the partakers found the system easy and convenient.

University diplomas secured by blockchain
The innovative system was introduced by the University of Basel. By registering certificates on ETH smart contracts, the information will be easily verified and protected from fraud.

Crypto events
As the country has the active crypto community and many developing crypto businesses, it hosts many blockchain conferences, events and shows. The purpose of conducting such meetings is to pay attention to DLT, study and analyse its applications and possibilities. One of the upcoming large crypto events is the Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Switzerland.

Cargo handling with DLT
Swissport, the provider of aviation services, together with Olam have launched a program for goods transportation. Integrating DLT in the industry, companies are planning to speed up the transactions, improve security and reduce operational costs by eliminating the paperwork.

First Blockchain-based smartphone
The smartphone developer Sirin Labs plans to release a DLT-based mobile phone in November 2018.

The company has already raised $157.8 million for this purpose via ICO. The innovative smartphone called Finney will cost around $1,000 and will combine a crypto wallet, TCS, and DApps store.

Leading other industries
Switzerland is not only a pioneer in many DLT uses but also a leading developer of the technology in other spheres. The country has corporations implementing Blockchain in data storage, supply chains, right protection and insurance sector.

Switzerland Inspiring Other Countries
Switzerland shows a lot of practical uses of Blockchain and innovative technological solutions, encouraging other countries to follow its steps.

South Korea, for example, is going to create a ‘Crypto Beach’ similar to Swiss ‘Crypto Valley’.

The Korea ICT Financial Convergence Association has announced the construction of the Blockchain center at the Haeundae beachfront in Busan.

Doing this, the company’s chairman plans to raise the government’s understanding of DLT and eliminate the current ban on ICOs.

It is not a surprise that Switzerland is considered a crypto paradise, and all the facts confirm its status of the advanced country regarding cryptocurrencies, blockchain and ICOs.

Nice comment, thanks for this. You found some nice info about cryptocurrencies in Switzerland and for some I didn`t know. In my time here I think Switzerland, as small but strong country, is silent about cryptocurrencies. There are no big news from there, they embraced cryptocurrencies like they are a normal thing, probably they will be one of the top cryptocurrencies countries. They recognize the potential of the crypto technologies and they are
going forward with that. We will see more from them very soon!
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3% loss 10% profit -> sell on: September 19, 2018, 07:35:12 AM
If I set a 3% loss on my initial investment as a stop loss and a 10% profit as a stop for selling, will that make me trade too often ?
In a crypto market 3% loss is quite common and if you can't wait then you most likely will spend more money on trading fees and can't make much profit. I don't recommend how much you need to set because it all depends on individuals how much risk they can take in this highly volatile market.

I don't do an everyday trade so my targets are higher like 20% or more for the losses on particular coins. Some coins I will sell when I reach this target and some coins I will buy more when I reach this target.

It is simply because cryptocurrency is volatile and unstable. The market has also been so shakey this days and it is really hard to predict the prices. I think it is best to hodl no matter how high the losses you might have. You should just have more patience and wait for the market to recover
Common like its happen everyday couple times, and in theory this sounds like you can make money with stop loss and sell option like that, but you can`t actually. I will try to explain it with an example, simple one so anyone can understand it, you buy at 1 and you set up your stop loss at 3% and sell at 10%, price start to goes down 7%, you sold your coins, but price stop there and start to rise and its recover and rise 10%, but you don`t have anything to sell, you sold already. What you gonna do now, buy again at higher price and try your theory again?
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: "Bitcoin mining is a Big no!" on: September 18, 2018, 07:50:21 AM
Ive met some group of financial adviser, they told me that the best way to aquire bitcoin is through cloud mining,
That group of advisers will ruin you! I don`t know who can with, with health mind, recommend could mining over real bitcoin mining. It`s odd that people still fall on this, maybe cause its cheap, you can start with cloud mining easily, all you need is 10$, some minimum, and you will get even bonus hash rates on first deposit, and people you invite, and more than anything else you will get huge promises. For mining you need equipment, very expensive equipment, most of the people can`t afford that, they turn to cloud mining, and that`s a huge mistake, better buy bitcoins with that money and keep them!
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is our assurance that Bitcoin will stay for long or forever? on: September 18, 2018, 06:08:05 AM
Now bitcoin is the very important source to income more and more money. This is spread out in globally.Every country people works this crypto market.
This is not possible to stop this site.Bitcoin will stay for long or forever.
The truth still remains that so far the only assurance is the fact that people still see it as an asset and a lot of people all over the globe are beginning to understand what the whole thing is all about and as time goes on when we start seeing real life usage in most parts of the world than just a speculative asset, there may be some high level of assurance, but as for now, I guess we are still being hopeful and living with faith to see how things would turn out eventually.
What kind of assurance we have about anything else? People vouch for it, people with their words, contracts, laws, you name it, turn it upside down and you have people behind everything. We are our assurance, people around the world, more people that are joining, more people that are recognizing the power of bitcoin. Bitcoin will stay for long, forever I doubt, new technologies emerge with high speed, who can say what will happen in 50 years, more or less, what kind of technology will be popular, or that some catastrophe will not destroy everything? Probably nobody can make any guarantees, but for some time we are safe as long as new people arriving.

8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to trade efficiently? on: September 16, 2018, 06:18:45 PM
I know that it varies from people to people and their strategies but there must be some important and basic points which people tend to forget all the time .
Of course I don't want you to reveal your trading strategy but some good tips that would really help me out.

The first factor in achieving efficient trade is certainly patience. Patiently and reasonably invested users will always win and will always be one step ahead of other investors. Another point to be aware of in order to be able to trade efficiently is not to get caught in a panic atmosphere and complete transactions without panic. I do not want to go back without reminding you that all the transactions made in the panic are closed in the loss position. Capital management is another factor that needs to be considered in order to be able to do efficient trade. Properly managed capital always provides positive income, whereas mismanaged capital often multiplies itself by zero.
You can make a list of important trade tricks, but in the end every moment is unique, in some moments you need to be patient, in others you need to bite as much as you can, there are moments when its best to do nothing.
Nobody can tell you when is good moment for what strategy, that depends from many things, mostly from how much money you have and how big profit you want. When there is so many different people we have so many different strategies, to find which one works for you, you need to try as many strategies as you can, always take care of your bankrolls, managing bankroll is the most essential part in trading. Good luck my friends, I hope you will have positive trades in future.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: To be or not to be. What to invest in? on: September 15, 2018, 07:51:32 PM
I think that crypto is still the most promising way of investing and it has a great potential in comparison to other options, so I'd recommend you to choose crypto anyways.
Every investment carry some risk, cryptocurrencies are very promising investment but risk is bigger than with other types of investments. I recommend investing in cryptocurrencies cause of the easy access, anyone can do it and you don`t need a lot of money like with other types of investments, you can invest 5$ and that is some start. Who did it long time ago have a fortune now, now with 5$ you can start with some cheap coins like ripple, digibytes, maybe nem, or many others and who knows what can happen, if you make a right choice you can make very profitable investment.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst Exchange Experiences on: September 15, 2018, 04:11:32 PM
I have no such extremely scary exchange experiences, but I suffer from liqui because of high withdrawal fees, it is also very silent exchange that scares me.
Then move your funds to bigger exchanges (Bittrex and poloniex, but make sure you have verified your account first or you won't be able to withdraw your money, Binance (my best choice), you don't need to di Kyc on here).

I myself have experienced problems with large exchanges such as poloniex, a few months ago poloniex experienced problems with withdrawing and happening to many people. I did DGB withdrawal but they didn't finish it. more than 5 months my coin was not sent. I submitted a ticket but there was no response. I'm sure some users have experienced it.
I think Poloniex not like in past, maybe because there are larger user that trade in there. But now their support is lack of responds. That is why it will be bad if we have problem especially with withdrawal. Luck i still not get that experience yet.

Poloniex used to be one of the dominant trading exchanges last year. If my memory serves me right, it likes around mid year last year that they became sort of very slow in responding to user's issues and then it went from good to worst in just the next couple of months. They blame the sudden surge of crypto traders, so they wasn't able to adjust their business model that time.

Just a few minor misses for me in HitBTC but it was resolved in matter of weeks. Yeah I know resolving a issue in couple of weeks in not good but I still trade with them.

However, most issues though come from exchange will few thousands of users that's why I stay out and doesn't want to do trades with low volume exchanges. The change of you having issues is very high and they might pull a scam stunt in the end.
Most of us had withdrawing problems on the internet, that is not a big deal. It happens even to the best sites, some network problem or anything else, most of sites solve that problems after a day or two. With yobit I waited almost all week once, they had some problems, but I didn`t cry about it, and I don`t think it`s the worst thing that can happen with any site.
Exchanges make profit from users, more they have more money will they make, I never had big problems with exchanges cause I was always honest, I never scammed anyone, why would I have some major problems with any site? I think people who had big issues with exchanges tried to do something wrong and when they don`t succeed they cry how site is crooked, and rigged, be fair and you will not have problems.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let be objective with our investment on: September 14, 2018, 08:26:57 PM
If you one to be objective you need to know history, similar things happened before, not once, not twice, many times, so tell me why wouldn`t we expect to happen again?

The digital currency showcase is unusual, so equitably, anything can happen, even in the present condition of the market, there can be a sudden upward development that will influence speculators to lament offering their coins for a measly 20% ROI when they could've seen greater benefits should they have held up somewhat more.

I can`t tell how many times I saw `with cryptocurrencies anything can happen`! It has been repeated here so many times and people still don`t get it. If anything is possible where is the limit? Only sky and maybe above, there are so many people who still don`t know nothing about bitcoins and cryptocurrencies. Maybe changes will not come tomorrow, maybe not even next year, but most of us see cryptocurrencies in the future, we all know that every new year brings more excitement, lets wait this new year and we will see what will happen and than we will make our judgments.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting With Nothing in Bitcoin on: September 14, 2018, 10:54:50 AM
I started with nothing, if you don`t count internet and good will. It`s all I had back than, now I have much more. I started with faucets, building rank here, so many freeroll tournaments where I took some good place and some bitcoins, my first trading was almost 3 years ago.
In crypto world everything is possible. I felt that, and believe I still feel it, it`s not over, there are so much to be achieved, so many people can still join, whole world can adopt cryptocurrencies. I didn`t invest nothing in crypto except myself, I already got a lot from it, I will not say I took anything, I watch all that like a big present for my sacrifice, I spent so many hours here, so many that now you can count it like months by computer
deep in crypto!
13  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why the market is falling and why not be afraid on: September 13, 2018, 07:02:54 AM
We all know that crypto currency is volatile. Price drop happens every year. Without drop in price new investors may not get opportunity to invest in crypto. And we can't predict crypto market. Panic sellers always sell with loss and new investors comes.. but wr have to realise that every year is not same. In 2017 BTC and almost all alts reached ATH but we can't expect same for 2018. It's may or may not happen.
We all know that, but still majority of people is crying when ever some price drop occur. You are right what you say about people expectation, we saw all times high in 2017 and people thought that prices will continue to rise and that we will see new all times high this year too, too big expectations if you ask me. You are right about one more thing, not every year is the same, we don`t have same conditions every year, with that every year is unique. Price dropped, but everything is still working with full power, people are coming, governments and big companies are talking about it more than before, that is a good foundation for the years that will come.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I invest in cryptocurrency now? on: September 13, 2018, 05:59:30 AM
This is the best time to buy, buy when others are selling and sell when they are buying
Old and good advice, but for this you need to be brave. Look at op, he is hero member and he asks question that you can expect from newbies. Instead to give example how to create a thread, to give more informations about his view of cryptocurrencies in past years and now, he wrote something that I would expect kid to do, not hero member.
Its better to buy in deeps than on top, like some people did at december, even myself, I bought some altcoins at their top, I am not crying about it now, I just wait my time. I have cryptocurrencies, many different ones, who don`t have it should get in as fast as possible, who have it should by more, this year can easily be a last year with bitcoin under 10,000$, litecoin under 100$, and many others can see the bottom this year lower than future bottoms, get in while its time, or regret later.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: September 12, 2018, 11:08:22 PM
Now that more and more countries are starting to go cashless (http://www.bbc.com/capital/story/20180427-does-a-cashless-society-benefit-everyone), is it possible that we also start converting to cryptocurrency? If that happens, what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages? Paying virtually is very convenient for me as I do not have to bring cash and it prevents petty theft but what is the disadvantage?

It might happen soon and i'm pretty sure that the value of each bits is more than the value today.
The advantages of it is that, it could be faster than to transact than the banking system today and i know there is new regulations that will going to implement to us in the system before we can use the crypto currency freely in the future.

But this kind of thought is too futuristic to happen soon in our life and maybe it will happen after 20-50 years from now. I don't know what kind of technology could someone has to create during that time but i'm pretty sure it's an amazing technology.

Not all countries want transparency and a finite supply of their currency. Just look at how many countries have corrupt governments just want to fill their own pockets...a decentralised ledger does not make that easier.

Therefore it is unlikely we see all countries evolve, but I also think it's realistic to see at least a majority of countries adopt and replace fiat with crypto in the next decades...a possible next financial crisis might be a catalyst to speed the process up.
Well, at least some major countries will start it, mainly in Japan i guess because they were just the countries that i know that loved so much of the technology. Hence, making a new technology is not that hard for them because they were too far advanced than the rest or it could be the US also.
These two giant countries in the scene of technology will make a great new discovery in the future but it's just too far to happen yet.

Quote
a possible next financial crisis might be a catalyst to speed the process up.
I don't think this could happen in most major countries but i think someone will fill their gap in financial crisis to make it happen.
You don`t think that major countries can suffer from big financial crisis, but some of the big countries will fall first. Did you hear about expression higher you are, bigger drop it is. Japan already began this transition with legalizing bitcoins and some other altcoins, I believe those countries that start sooner with transition to crypto will suffer less from financial crisis that will come, and they will come. History is full with big crisis, we already know that many countries are on the edge and they will pull down others with them, its domino effect.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My sweet and bitter experience about bitcoin on: September 12, 2018, 07:24:15 PM
I can say with guarantee that every bitcoin uses have this kind of experiences and this experiences are that kind of lesson which helps us to survive in the crypto world.

It is natural who ever is in this field would have tasted both the experience whether it is bitter or sweet . Some times would have made money’s and some time would harvlsot the money due to some or other reason . That is how the bitcoins and crypto works.

I must agree with comments above, you are right about everything. Every user have rich experience with bitcoins, longer you are here richer experience you have. That experience comes from many good and bad moments along the way, most of us experienced huge rises and big drops. With so many years behind me I had many good calls, but many times I didn`t use situations in my advantage, it would be easier if we know
what will happen, but that makes bitcoin so interesting. We are still here, that is the most important.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: September 11, 2018, 09:25:21 AM
Today people wrote sell, few weeks ago people wrote buy. How wrong that tactic is, you buy in dips and sell on tops, not other way around. I see the market and I see whats happening with ethereum, same like many other altcoin, I will not selling anything, its like giving away coins under the price. I said two years ago that I will not cut loses, good times comes if you are patient enough, I will keep my ethereums along with many other coins that dropped really hard in past 6 months, if I didn`t sell back than, I will not sell now.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casino game gives you the best odds of winning? on: September 11, 2018, 07:52:19 AM
In your opinion, which casino games do you think will give you the best odds of winning? I have always favored the Roulette table's dozens, columns and colored bets to cover a lot of numbers with a few wagers. Blackjack is OK also. I think that Slots gives you the worst odds which probably explains why a large chunk of a casino's profits is from the slot machines.
I love to play slots, they are one of my favorite casino games. Yes you can lose a lot playing slots, but you can win much more than on any other game. Its insane how many times I won a lot, really a lot. There were times when I lost a lot, but I tend to remember good moments more than bad moments. Casino games are mostly lucky games, you need luck, a lot of money and with that money you can rise bets, without it you can`t win a lot. I like all casino games, and I won many times, lost many times, odds are same if you play dices or roulette, have money and try to win what ever you play, it`s my thinking and what I do.

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you do while gambling? on: September 09, 2018, 08:40:38 AM
Some of them are believes in lucky charm they wear it or bring it while playing gambling but i dont think if it will helps to increase their luck since gambling is based on the luck of every playing having an item of charm or not is an equal percentage of luck. I think it only depends on how lucky you are at that day and no just because you have lucky charm.
Maybe for some gamblers, they are believing in a certain thing and they use it as a lucky charm but in reality, this doesn't affect how the gambler will win. If he will win then he will and vice versa.

If I feel that I want to gamble then I will go immediately without wearing or getting any lucky charm because I don't believe in them. I tried to get some charms but it failed. I lose my money so I don't believe on them anymore.
I believe in comfort and good mood. When you are positive you have more chances to do something positive, I believe we all agree about that. What most of people do is to have some nice playlist with favorite music, comfortable chair, nice light or dark, drink what you want and that is nice atmosphere for awaking positive in yourself. When you are nervous and negative you will just get more nervous when you lose, from this mind stadiums you will get nothing except more of it. Relax, enjoy, have a great time, that is gambling evening for me.
