i would assume it would get rid of it . . but you cant quote me . . who knows what it installed, where it put what, what it added to your startup thats not a virus . . keyloggers dont show up as viruses, neither do RDP programs . . IMO you should reformat, wipe that drive. someone suggested to me Dual boot with sandbox . . firewall on incoming and outgoing. and just mine to an exchange . . F the wallet all together
I know making the primo cash is catching a new launch before it hits an exchange but that seems to involve alot of risk. maybe dual boot windows . . .1 for mining and wallets, and one for gaming ans personal life
I used to mine directly to an exchange when I mined a lot, but I got screwed over by doing that when cryptsy disappeared. To be safe, I will probably boot into safe mode and copy all data to an external hard drive and reinstall windows and copy it back. Then going forward, I will probably keep my main wallets such as LTC on Ubuntu and maybe run a VM for other wallets. Always use a VM or sandbox for new coins. Otherwise just hold on an exchange/pool. Wait a sec, would I be able to get rid of this going back to a previous restore point? As far as I know, restore points only work in some cases. Something to do with registry keys. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Okay, I won't be restoring to a previous restore point then. What about the refresh feature in Win 10 where it reinstalls but keeps your files? That should probably work, right? dude, just wipe the computer and start fresh, only way to guarantee its gone. Can a moderator delete the wallet links, or the whole ANN and lock this thread ? were done here forever. |

Ha! Ha! Its ok, I don't blame you for being suspicious. A lot of those big buys in the last two days were mine. Unfortunately I missed the POW phase, as I only came across this thread recently. I was attempting to buy about 1 million GPU coins and leave them staking in my wallet. And yeah, I never normally post things on bitcointalk (I usually just read stuff), but I wanted to find out what went wrong and try save anyone else from the same fate. Im not crying any tears cos I have quite a lot of btc accumulated and losing 2btc worth of coins is annoying, but not end of the world for me. I spend a lot of time looking for smaller projects with potential and when I find one I will throw some money at it. I was in Yobit chat yesterday and after speaking to a couple guys about what could have gone wrong, I realised it was most likely the wallet download, so I didn't feel the need to file a support ticket. (I believe their support is not great anyways)

Care to screen shot those buys? the hacking of my account happened just aBout 12 hours ago . . there is no yesterday, no one knew anything was wrong untill you posted this morning asking someone to check the wallet download. Im still on the fence, your too up in this thread with a happy go lucky attitude . . like your playing along. Im not a fan you said you didn't touch WOW or IBank . . yesterday you discovered this . . it happened today, no matter what meridian your on . . I dont care who anyone is . .if you lose 1300+ US dollars your gonna make a fuss as to where that went.... thats a little more than annoying. |

Im buying more GPU coins to replace the one's I lost  I hate to be a factual based person with common sense, but i have a few questions (pardon my distrust of everyone) Where did you get 770 000 GPU from without having a wallet? - we ended POW 2 days after we hit an exchange. . . you couldn't of mined that in 2 days and sent to an exchange.. This morning was the first time you tried to download a wallet ? Why don't you seem pissed off in the least you just lost a couple grand ? Did you file a support ticket with yobit to ask WTF happend to my couple grand ? The first time you post here in 2.5 years was today, where you been ? My apologies if your on the up and Up, my condolences if you really did lose that much You know the old saying "whoever smelt it dealt it" . . . . Aw, shit I just ran it. After I saw that I shut my computer off. Is there any AV that can remove it? What can I do?? as soon as you run it its too late . . you may not think it did anything but the program is installed, logging keys . . sleeping .. waiting to be waken up by its owner when he comes, looks at your passwords, then decides how best to rape you This guy used my computer to change the links in my ANN to his malicious wallets . . thats dedication when you hack someone, change their wallet, recompile it then replace their mega links in their ANN with your malicious ones . . if only you spent this effort on a job buddy hacker . . almost everything on my PC is "remember me" was simple for dickbag to go through my shit. I understand that it's infected now, but is there an anti virus that can remove it? I won't log back on that PC until I can get rid of it, that way he won't be able to do anything malicious, right? I have a crapton of stuff on that computer and it would be a massive hassle to move all of my data, reinstall, and move it back so is there any other way to get rid of this shit? AVG free is what picked it up on my system . . . stupid me seen the dev post that it was a clean wallet took his word for it . . told AVG to ignore . . I took my harddrive and put it on a shelf. Bought brand new. Im going to install Ubuntu Linux and never look back at windows. win 10 was defective and full of holes from day 1 !!!! |

This is the same DEV who made Ibank . . its a shitcoin full of viruses . . people who download either wallet are getting hacked left right and center.
looks like its a trojan horse . . back door, grants the hacker RDP connection silently . . keylogs your info, then they use your computer when your asleep or away from it and drain your wallets and any go to any exchange you have auto login for. . .

thats the problem .. you open the wallet and it installs the shit and then your done you figure the wallet wont start so you move on . . . they got your computer now too . . dont log into anything, dont leave it on when you walk away, your now infected like the rest of us . . only safe way is to format computer . . Format everything or just format windows drive? I have some saved passwords on my mozilla firexfox i should change all of them after formatting? I would change everything just to be safe. . . dont log into anything while using windows . . format the hard drive and then remove the partition . . put a partition back on and format again, then re install windows . . |
