According to blockexplorer.com, valid Slush block #255116 paid out to address: 1AqTMY7kmHZxBuLUR5wJjPFUvqGs23sesr

http://blockexplorer.com/block/000000000000002d82d1dba4a81329a57a6572be936ff0f4debc09b2d93ff92b

Blocks #255153, #255157 and #255177 also paid out the same address making them valid Slush blocks.

255153 http://blockexplorer.com/block/000000000000003f0e0aa2097d5d965b489adf21fb7a27edb8da688af31c5562
255157 http://blockexplorer.com/block/00000000000000077381a7848fa5059ee5c038e0f8083696d61f8d253fc0b130
255177 http://blockexplorer.com/block/000000000000000fbcaf090fec56f5834891663e133104f7b9e241d3bbf2905e

Someone correct me if I am wrong here.

Edit: #255153 appears to be valid again according to the stats page.
Edit 2: All blocks valid again and 255177 has correct pay out value.

is the pool still maintained by slush or is he completely busy with Trezzor?

I believe he does maintain the pool, but he said recently that his circumstances were not good.

Mix that in with Trezzor project and I think we could have the reason for his absence. His account at this point in time shows he has not logged in since 21st August.

I may have to move pools soon since I am unable to lower my user diff after testing some higher values. Website shows diff 1, proxy shows diff 5  Roll Eyes and no reply from Slush Undecided

If I were you I would create a new worker, then switch the miner over to the new worker.  The new worker should default at a 1 difficulty.  Then you can delete, abandon (you can have as many as you want anyway), or have slush fix the old worker when he can...

I will give that a go, thanks!

Do NOT, and i repeat again...NOT delete your old worker until you have received your reward from it!!

Point noted. Do you speak from experience on this?

A few days ago I changed my difficulty settings up to 5 for several of my miners, after changing it back to 1 the next day my Stratum proxy still shows the difficulty of 5.

I have tried the usual miner and proxy restarts several times.

Any ideas anyone? Need to set the difficulty back to 1 for my slower miners.

Thanks.

Approx. cluster performance (30 min average):    43869.247 Ghash/s

blah!

need more asics now!

BTC Guild helps it self grow massively and quickly by selling ASICs.

Maybe Slush could employ someone to do something similar?

or you could buy from btcguild and use them here. That is what i do.

True, although not everyone here will visit BTC Guild... I hope they will after seeing these posts!

Got connection issues here too.

I'm using the mining proxy but it appears to fail when trying to get new jobs from the server, so all my miners were idle.

Tried the usual flush DNS and reboot which failed to remedy the problem so I'm on the backup pool for now.

Hi,

My mining proxy is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to the eu-stratum server and my cgminer workers are often rejecting shares due to 'lowdifficulty'.

When my proxy does submit shares, they rocket over to the server between 14-30ms.

I have just left Slush and everything was working was working well over there, just wondering if there is something I am doing wrong, perhaps an extra flag I need to specify? Or perhaps the pool is having issues at the moment?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Proxy version 1.5.2 and cgminer version 3.1.1

Thanks.

I wonder who are the 39.780 Ghash/s still standing? VIPs?

My VIP connection is not working and my workers have auto switched to Oz Coin.

My ivy bridge hd 4000 should have opencl now

I have one of these on my laptop and the Bitminter client mines on it, slowly  Grin:

Edit: Before anyone asks, no I don't mine on my laptop, I downloaded the client simply to see what it looked like and was surprised to see the Intel HD device available.

Someone dumped a lot of BTC on to Gox last Sunday cueing the initial big value drop. This was followed by a smaller dump today which has accelerated the drop.

I imagine it will rise again until the next dump.

ouch... new difficulty 15605632  Undecided

And next difficulty is at current stipulated to be about 30 mill..... http://dot-bit.org/tools/nextDifficulty.php

And it's predicted to happen in just 10 days. I got into BTC mining mid April of this year and bought new GPUs early May, hoping it wasn't too late to catch some profit. Absolutely horrific timing. With every passing day I am further assured of my stupidity. Soon, the electricity cost will outweigh the gain and I will have had enough of this shafting. At which point, gaming may resume.

Any other chumps in the same boat here?

Switch to Litecoin when your running costs outweigh your profits.

Bitcoin (SHA-256 hash) ASIC technology is not suited to Litecoin (Scrypt) mining, so GPUs will be profitable for sometime to come.

Edit:
Use this to calculate mining profitability on various alt coins:
