1  Economy / Speculation / Re: To who whined about early adopters that bought cheap coins: now coins are cheap on: April 14, 2013, 01:07:48 AM
I cant figure out why anyone would call $100 cheap, they were half that a month before, and half that before the bubble started.

Best thing that could happen would be it crashes back to $10-30 and stays there for a few months at least. That will drive out the speculators and manipulators. I doubt that will happen with all the hoarding though.

A significant drop in price will make that: speculators and weak hands to sell. That would be beneficial for a healthy future of Bitcoin. I read a lot about price opinions: some people argue it's high others it's low... the real truth is nobody knows what the fair price or fundamental price is.

Monetizations are a roller coaster and this volatility is very common in the process and it won't be the last slope.

I really hope bitcoin goes much lower for me to get into, I think there is a chance for bitcoin to prospere. For me the current price (94$) seems like too high. My memory is set to 4/10$ a btc, higher than that my head thinks it's expensieve. But again, nobody can't really tell me I'm wrong (and I'm 0% sure that I'm right).
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] The next big exchange on: April 11, 2013, 10:48:51 PM
I vote for bitcoin-24; really awesome interface and site overall. Too bad apparently its a one man show, if he had a team, the site would be ace.

Yeah, I saw a personal name in the info tu add funds in Euro. So you are sending the wire to a fisical person or some kind of solo trader... that's pretty amateur. The web looks outstanding.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: IT STILL ISN'T BACK TO "NORMAL"! on: April 11, 2013, 10:37:45 PM
Why don't more people discuss that Cyprus was announced on March 17th when BTC was at $50.  This was when the insane push up happened.  People in Spain and Cyprus were moving money in BTC because they were freaking out.

Not true at all. I live in Spain and I have to tell you no one even knows here the BTC. The people didn't run into BTC as you suppose. From my point of view, the average spaniard would go into gold I don't think they are open minded enough to go into BTC. Any way, protecting your savings buying BTC looks like a really bad idea.. it's so experimental at this point.

By the way, Spain havent suffered any bail-in yet.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For me MtGox is Dead, where shoud I adquire Bitcoins? on: April 11, 2013, 10:28:10 PM
I like the idea of diversifying.

BTCe seems okay but OKPAY sucks a bit. Bitcoin24 looks cleaner, have you guys ever tried it?

Thank you!
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / For me MtGox is Dead, where shoud I adquire Bitcoins? on: April 11, 2013, 04:40:21 PM
I have only used MtGox but they have proven to be a very low quality service. Where should I buy now? What's the next big exchange? btc-e? bitcoin-24?

"BitCoin, the decentralized currency" Oh, really?
7  Economy / Economics / Comparing BTC with the growth of other technologies on: April 08, 2013, 01:53:58 PM
I have found a very interesting image that makes me think of the current price of Bitcoin

What do you think?
8  Other / Off-topic / GoogleCoin on: March 24, 2013, 09:23:37 PM
I have been thinking for a while that if I where the CEO of Google I will imitate the concept of bitcoin but taking advantage of the huge popularity of Google.

What are your thoughts on that?
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: May want to move your funds from MtGox this week on: March 19, 2013, 10:10:03 PM
You guys are making me nervous.

I keep a lot of cash in mtgox cause I keep hoping for a major crash lol.

Yeah me too! hehe But I prefer the dollars to sit and wait in my ordinary bank account. If that happens then I will send the money again to MtGox.

Now the BTC is so expensieve... it looks like really interesting for hackers to thief. Also since BTC is anonymous you can't sue or track the thief... to thief bit coins is a no-brainer, it's almost sure you won't go to jail! A friend of mine works as security auditor and I've learnt that no system is really safe, the only safe place for a server is under water and unplugged.

12  Economy / Speculation / Re: OMG! Bitcoins are going to $389,000 each! on: February 19, 2013, 10:16:41 PM
I just bought some savings I had. Total of 7,000$ I don't want to miss the train.

I see a direct road to heaven here! 10,000$/BTC is okay for me, enough for me retirement .

17  Economy / Gambling / LibertyBets.com || New project of a Bitcoin Game on: January 19, 2013, 02:26:57 AM

Hello!

I would like to present our new Bitcoin Game. Website: http://www.libertybets.com

The site has been created thanks to my team formed by:
  • A very experienced programer. His in charge on the technical aspects. His nickname is Flaab.
  • An Industrial Engineer (myselft). I'm overlooking all the project and validating the maths.
  • Several investors. They are hands off investors and they don't have any implication in the bitcoin world or this community

We are all successful entrepreneurs in other areas and we are all libertarian (that's why we love freedom and bitcoin). Now you guys can figure out where the name of the website comes from.

We will be adding new features, we have some good ideas to add value but the current advantages/features of our site are:
  • A very fun pot of money someone will eventually win.
  • Easy to use. Designed from humans to humans.
  • Respectful to the Bitcoin network. Payouts are made in one single transaction to avoid creating unnecessary traffic.
  • Reliable payouts. The website is designed in a way it can handle more than 50 transactions every minute without any delay or lag.
  • Customer support.
  • Of corse the outcome of every bet is easy to validate.

If you have any question I will be delighted to answer it. Also if you feel more curious about the deep details in the technical side, Flaab will be answering all your doubts. Feel free to answer in this thread but please, if you consider your comment or question private or not in the interest of the community you should contact to our support filling the "contact us" form available at our site.

I hope you have fun with our game!

Williams.

I don't recommend to mix bit coins with paypal. You can also get a chargeback very easily
