I have a feeling that LTC just doesn't have the liquidity needed to properly implement a backbone yet. Then again, creating more support for it would perhaps generate the liquidity...chicken or the egg I guess. I find most of the exchanges for alt coins to be a bit of a joke at the moment as well. Also, once ASIC's get going, average miners will be forced to move to alts which should give them a boost I'd think?

I think it's a nice direction, but still a little 1980's tech corporation for me. I'm thinking something more plasticy-feeling, modern- web 3.0 kinda. Softer.
Sure, I can see what you mean. I'll make some changes and maybe go in a bit of a different direction. By the way, how important is scalability? The samples I posted are all vectored so can be scaled infinitely without any loss in quality. I'm assuming you're not planning on creating any billboards or doing too much print so working with rastered files instead shouldn't be a problem? Could broaden options a bit. I'll try something in blue as well Der Meister ...and who the heck came up with that coin on Flikr? I'm assuming that wasn't sanctioned by you? Kinda funny...

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Tried doing something a little different than just tweaking the Bitcoin logo. It's an option I guess...

I'd be into coming up with some options. Will post back in a bit.

So what happens if you do find out who it was? Even if he gets prosecuted, those Bitcoins are locked away with a key that the thief only knows. As for him paying any restitution, good luck when he'll never have a real job.

Holy crap mate. I was kidding. See the ? Your math is excellent though. So strange that you can't send these small amounts. What if I wanted to buy one LTC or TRC with BTC. Would cost me more in fees than the actual coin.

I've sent BTC before without paying any transaction fee, just takes forever to get confirmed. Mind you these were with larger amounts. If this is the case though, pretty soon there won't be any Bitcoin left as they'll all be lost in millions of accounts with 0.000001 BTC. EDIT: I have a lot of addresses because I thought it would be a good way of tracking transactions, and some (barely any) added anonymity.

Noob question.
I can't figure this out. I have a lot of BTC addresses with really small amounts. Like 0.000671...etc. I'm using blockchain.info and when I try to move these small amounts into my main account it doesn't let me because there isn't enough to cover the fee the nodes would like to get paid. I even set it to "frugal" so that there would be no fee paid but that doesn't work. I don't care if it takes days for it to clear, but it's just a bit irritating to dispose of these addresses while there's still a balance.

So is your first post correct now? Now your funds have been marked as fraudulently obtained?
I still think this will get resolved - they have established a really good reputation, but if you're saying they're selectively defrauding clients, it wouldn't be the first time. Same thing happened to me on switchpoker.com. I happened to win a few hundred there and tried to withdraw some of it to Bitcoin and they closed my account claiming fraud. At least Bitinstant are transparent and if you need to escalate things, you can. Unlike switchpoker.com.
Sorry to semi-hijack your thread. Really hope this gets solved.

Yeah, hopefully you're right Danny. I personally hate it when people make unrealistic claims about turnaround or response times, but like I said before, I think it will get resolved and OP just got unlucky with the guys at bitinstant taking some time off. https://www.bitinstant.com/aboutus"Based out of New York City and The United Kingdom, our staff is always around to answer your questions." Let us know how it turns out.

Just wondering how that is an over-reaction? Yeah, ok, that's a lot of CAPS, but I'd be pretty pissed if I was in his situation and was being ignored by support.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've used them for some very small transaction (less than 10 BTC) without any problems. I'll typically start out with smaller transactions when trying out a new service provider. They really seemed reputable. Anyone else had any trouble with them?
