21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Fundamental analysis linked to specific countries on: July 17, 2018, 10:20:26 PM
I have seen a pattern respect to the countries that aproves laws in favor of bitcoin, like Malta, almost all the companies that advertise a ico or a project in that country makes the price increase exponencially.
Obviously this is not the only factor, but the historical news and the changes on prices say that, what do you think about it.
22  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Tranfer BTC using API or using node modules on: July 14, 2018, 07:39:48 PM
hello,
I have created bitcoin addresses dynamically using nodejs module. I have private key and address.
we want to tranfer BTC received in those dynamically generated address we have private key for it.
At present we are using below nodejs code to send BTC

var bitcoinTransaction = require('bitcoin-transaction');
var to = "12zyHTgqfm3XT5K9afmaPjhcwvbAYuBBHk";
var from ="1DnqKVAPB9JUxQxuc6xe9jycyvhWhu7NzS";
var privKeyWIF = "XXXX-Privatekey-XXXXXXX";

bitcoinTransaction.getBalance(from, { network: "mainnet" }).then((balanceInBTC) => {
      var btcToSend=parseFloat(0.0001);
         bitcoinTransaction.sendTransaction({
                from: from,
                to: to,
                privKeyWIF: privKeyWIF,
                btc: 0.00000547,
                network: "mainnet",
                fees: 3,
        }).catch((error) => {
                console.log(error);
        }).then((result)=> {
                console.log(result);
        });
        console.log(balanceInBTC);

}).catch((error) => { console.log(error); });

As we have done the transaction using this code it cost me fees as 206 satoshi per byte
Here is the tx :  https://www.[Suspicious link removed]/en/btc/tx/2d4639266d3af9416b1f022193a3587df501a678a794744dbf8f4fddcecc3564

What i have to change to specify fixed fees for transaction. Is there any other API or node module that i can use for transfering BTC from one address to another using private key of address?

Hi, i think that changing the parameter fees could solve that, and if you are looking for other library i specially use bitcore-wallet-client there you can use the private key of address, that lets me specify the priority of transactions and many other specifications
23  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Blockchain Related Degrees on: July 14, 2018, 07:21:39 PM
My wife and I were looking at masters degrees in Germany and other parts of the world and I'm really interested in studying something that will be help me work with crypto currencies in one degree or another. Does anyone have any advise or recommendations?

In my exprience as a developer, i started to use the API's of some coins like bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ripple and monero, thats allows me to understand part of the map, once i learned how to do that i found a job and there i learned the rest of the map, i mean how a blockchain tehnology works doing internet training, there is an excelent course of ibm in coursera that teaches you all basics blockchain skills
24  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: In Need Of Help (Programming) on: July 14, 2018, 07:04:44 PM
Hey friend, yes i have the solution for you to follow transactions activity, account balance, fee levels, address generation, etc, i have experience programming in node js that is a javascript technology created by bitpay, that allows you to use a library for manage accounts, i suggest you first to use the functions of this library with the tesnet blockchain, that is a blockchain for test, and after use livenet blockchain, that is the real blockchain, this library only works with bitcoin and bitcoin cash, if you want to use bitcoin cash for example you just need to put the param coin: 'bch' into the structure opts, well with no more preamble here is the library https://github.com/bitpay/bitcore-wallet-client
I know it's a lot of information, but i will make a summary in some steps
1. Learn to use Javascript
2. Learn to use Node js
3. Install bitcore-wallet-core with npm
4. Test the functions of bitcore-wallet-core in tesnet
5. Use the functions in livenet
And finally, like a recommendation, if you have access to a linux machine it works amazing on linux, if not mac and windows are fine.
If you want to use other coins you just need to do the same but with the coin libraries, for example, ripple has a library called ripple-lib, and that's all, your welcome  Wink

DECENTRALIZED DATA WITH SOLID SOURCES
..

In Solid Sources The objective is the freedom of information from the decentralization of the collection of statistical data in a free and safe way to promote industry, competition and contribute to the advancement of Science and humanity, promote industry and healthy Competition under the term of the information consensus, providing real-time statistical data for analysis, facilitating decision-making and promoting privacy and free access to globalized data.

Solid Sources is a technology based blockchain That allows to decentralize the collection of statistical data in a free and safe way. Recently a problem has been found in decision making, these require first from a data analysis data analysis, many companies, government entities, educational institutions, individuals, etc. Have this problem. The data analysis requires, first, data access; Second, decision-making and third, money to access that data. Companies that currently work providing information have one or two factors against it, or charge for the service, impede access to the data, or its structure does not have a secure base, this means that your information is stored in centralized nodes prone to attacks from third parties. With these factors in mind, Solid sources proposes a solution, providing a technology based on blockchain to collect statistical data in a decentralized way and allowing access to global statistical data in a free and safe way.

....SOLID SOURCES APLICATIONS ..

Real-time statistical data

Solid Sources It will facilitate the collection of statistical data in real time, thanks to the data network that is going to be able to support the network of Solid Sources, is going to be viable in any application that needs to have the information, as an example could be easily implemented in a vote or you can know Which Are the companies that came out to the stock market recently, or that are about to leave, the number of people who are or Any data that you take in real time.

Method of Exchange

The Cryptocurrency custody of transactions Solid It can be used as a method of exchange because all your transactions are registered in the Blockchain PSLD.

Intelligent Logging Unit

As a great support in real time knowing if the facilities or the Equipment is Working with the correct production capacity, or knowing the costs of real-time consumption of basic services such as water, energy, etc.

The Internet of real life things

The Programming language Used in Solid sources is a considered low-level language that can directly program the hardware and connect it to the Internet which makes it easier to include really complete data, and Going Return a standard hardware programming language.

Cloud storage

To Solid Sources Offer their Blockchain double layer Through a Dht You will be able to upload the information you want to back up in a highly secure and very low cost way and also to transfer data over the network safely, without any kind of risk.

A.I.

One of the main problems facing the The Is that they lack real-time data sources, the Solid sources offer a source of real data and Low-level language, you could really think of the self-contained car, or the Bots Self-cleaning, or smart refrigerators or anything that requires autonomy.

Smart Cities Base

Thanks to the ease offered by the Blockchain PSLD Programming and low-level language and any hardware can be interconnected thanks to the PSLD, it is possible to achieve smart cities as much as they have dreamed.

....SOLID SOURCES THE FUTURE....
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The value of the information in the current times on: May 21, 2018, 05:25:56 PM
With the recent problems of facebk and other companies whit leaks of information or manipulation comes many questions: what is really the value of the information?, what kind of data the organizations are buying?, what is the use of that information? if someone buy my personal data, how many that person paid for it? and thhe most important, how i can protect my data from those companies?
Let's discuss about how information its gaining value.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How the mnemonics works on: May 21, 2018, 02:35:26 PM
To generate bitcoin addresses we usually use HD wallets with the well-known mnemonics or the twelve words, this words are a way to represent an arbitrary set of bits, the entropy source used to generate the keys, additionally a checksum of the bits are used as part of the last word to prevent the modification or errors in the mnemonics, a list of words is used to represent those bits, and have variations for different languages. I really was impressed the first time that i understand how it works, someone have more comments about how this is used, hide other kinds of information using mnemonics and further applications of this algorithm.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / One-time addresses or unique address. Which is better? on: May 18, 2018, 11:01:13 PM
 Huh It's difficult to say which is better, so let's give a look over their differences and discuss, starting with OT addresses, like bitcoin, the idea is have a lot of addresses and use one in each transaction this addresses can be derivated from a HD wallet, in ethereum we have one address and that is used for everything since spend ether to tokens and deploy contracts. So what do you think?
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Quantum Menace on: May 18, 2018, 10:06:21 PM
With the develop of new technologies comes new and great applications, but comes too new fears, when the artificial intelligence was the subject of the moment everybody was afraid of the machines taking the control of the world, today the hype is about blockchain, but the shadow of the quantum computing rises, is a blurry and difficult to understand subject, but is a real thing, and is here. One can listen that the coming of Quantum computing will be the end of bitcoin, and everybody loses his mind thinking that the end is near, well to really be a risk for blockchain technologies quantum computing needs a lot of work and time, but it will be a menace.
How Quantum computing put blockchain in risk? This is not an easy answer, but from our knowledge we can said that the minery and the hash algoritms of the moment are quantum-proof but the way that the addresses are generated not, the actual signature method ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) will be easy solved using quantum computers, but out there are a lot of new algorithms that allows to validate signatures in a post-quantum enviroment.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The importance of Blockchain in the future of the technology on: May 18, 2018, 08:41:55 PM
Blockchain is the current revolution that is changing the world, it gain its fame with the born of bitcoin and in the recent times its common to relate this technology whit the financial system, but its more than that, we can see many rising projects that use blockchain and allow us to have from smart-contracts, distributed storage, to voting systems and even virtual collectibles.
All this blockchain-fever is only showing us the importance of this technology, we see in a short time a tendency to put everything in a blockchain, and every virtual service managed in this way, maybe in a general-purpose blockchain (like ethereum) or in many singular blockchains. This will create a new demand in the industry and soon we will see experts in thin field an online courses, maybe it will be a new investigation field in many universities, and by this way it will spill trough all the industry, medical records, metro and bus payments, fast food, restaurant reservations, tv contest, all over blockchain.
How do yo think that blockchain is changing the world?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / By making use of Big Data Technology on: May 03, 2018, 05:29:42 PM
Dr. Haslhofer started by introducing Bitcoin as the most prominent example of a virtual cryptocurrency and the use of Blockchain Technology (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain_(database)). This currency is not issued by any government, bank, or organization but relies on cryptographic protocols and a distributed peer-to-peer network of users to mint, store, and transfer currency units. Transactions are almost real-time and costs are minimal compared to established payment networks, which offers novel opportunities for businesses and payment providers.

Do you access for this link to the wallet https://waveswallet.io/

Guys, which wallet you guys are using for waves?

I'm still using google chrome app and leased all my waves coins. For a long time, I didn't sign in but recently noticed warning message saying that google chrome is closing this app so need to download from the site.

Is this online beta version is safe to use - https://wavesplatform.com/ ?

Did you guys try this wallet already? and feedback will be appreciated.

Should be safe, but it'll be more secure for you to download the app and launch it from your computer.

Corporates, suits and CEOs of traditional companies beware: decentralized protocols powered by blockchain technology are redefining the traditional business models, and many people should be worried. Business models of the future are not created equal, and they certainly don’t play by the same rules. In the Venn Diagram of traditional business and decentralized protocols, there are a few overlaps and many differences.
