I agree that CK is caught in a chicken egg situation now, if only we could find common agreement on how to resolve the depo mess and debts issue then maybe we could find a way to break the impass. That split the community, and ever since momentum and inspiration totally dried up, especially after Speed disappeared.
This, OR change the name and start a new thread and forget all about the depo mess in the NEW game/thread A new game should not be burdened with old shit.

Some feedback / ideas: What is the name / domain of the new game? CK could/should be left as is. We need a new name for a fresh start. New players googling the name should not be directed to these crazy threads with all these problems and losses. When we know the new name, why not start a new self-moderated thread? These stupid newbie copied senseless comments would be easy to delete then. I do not know anything about coding or game design but I am interested in for example: - helping with the landing pages, there are no landing pages on CK. Nobody knows its a game when landing on the index/front page of CK. - discussing rules of the new game. I should probably join the slack group ...

TTC were up to 12 sat some days ago at Cryptopia, now back to 6 sats and volume today is 4.6 btc, a few weeks ago the volume were about 0.1 btc. Things are happening Lots of sellers under 10 sats though and that is a shame.

Are Speed and the King in on this fork or are they planning/making another version of CK? Or are they out of the game completely?

Yes, go for it! It has been a long wait, any idea when the game could start on a new codebase, before or after the summer?

How cool would it be to just buy a small island somewhere, call it Tittie Island and dump a few bars on it or stripclubs and use TTC as a crypto to buy drinks etc.
Yes, very cool. But how likely is that going to happen. Nobody seems able to even prop up the price of TTC: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=TTC_BTCNow at 0.00000006 btc with a volume of only 0.06 btc. Anything below 0.00000020 seems cheap. TTC should anyway be well above LANA, FJC and even ANI Go Titties Go Pump Titties Pump

fascinating, so Tittie Island refers to a real Island you want to build for tourism purposes?! at first glance sounds unrealistic, but on a second glance enticing.. so crazy it might actually work haha. How about building such a project in the virtual world? start with second life maybe as a side project, and maybe at some point we make our own platform or on another successful VR platform. VR will be so much better and ubiquitous in the future, and probably provide a larger market and more profits than a physical model can ever provide, let alone cost efficiency.. that's my guess. At least it's worth it I believe to tackle VR as well in addition to the original island idea, what do you think?
Yes, go for VR first, make it a good game. TTC as game currency.

Hardly relevant to BTC, but an interesting topic IMO. (snip) How hard were they trying though? I recall reading a paper from one of the Ivy League universities that concluded that perfect pitch could not be learned in adulthood. And the argumentation, as well as the experiment itself, was lackluster to say the least.
Really hard. As in everything that can possibly be done within legal and ethical means. This is study time on google if that's not enough. Perfect pitch appears to be dependent on both a genetic trait and a development window. Nature and nurture. The genetic trait is probably present in something like 20% of the population. The window of opportunity for actually having perfect pitch during adulthood roughly coincides with the window for native language learning. Native speakers of tone languages (Chinese language/dialects, Thai etc) have a higher than average percentage of adults with perfect pitch. This is probably due to children being exposed to more-or-less fixed pitch sillables while that part of the brain is developing. There are several studies that come to similar conclusions. I've read a few (say, at least a couple). I can't be bothered to look them up, but big G can help. Yeah, early development is important for all sorts of things. Thing is, we lived in tribes for millions of years and that's the environment we are evolved for. Modern life is completely different, which makes it likely that we are doing things to our kids that are harmful to them. That's why it's so important to study these things. And not just for kids, but for all of us. I've actually been thinking on and off about what I could do if I ever had kids during their infant periods. I don't buy that there's no development taking place just because they can't recall any memories. They don't know language, so at the very least there's a viable chance that infant memories get triggered by nonverbal cues that become irrelevant as one grows older. I'm quite curious as to whether or not one could instill synesthesia in a child by playing a pitch and associating it with a colour in some way. I'm also not convinced that languages can only be picked up in childhood at a native level, at least not unequivocally. I have a heavy accent whenever I don't speak English for a while, but given enough time I manage to fool natives. And I've also managed to memorize a single pitch that I can recall at will without reference, which is an experiment that I'd like to return to some day to see if I can get that up to a level where I could write down music as I hear it. It's time consuming and tedious as hell, but it seems possible to me. Simply being there is the biggest thing you can do at that stage. Fathers emit pheromones that likely has a positive influence on their development. That and make sure the mother is as relaxed and happy as reasonably possible.A tribe is essentially one big family. It is a place of safety and protection from the outside world. Emulating that in the form of a traditional family seems like a good move. The bolded part: That is the hard part
