701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Options Market is Losing Confidence in Bitcoin,This Could Spell Trouble for 2020 on: December 27, 2019, 04:09:14 PM
Bitcoin (BTC) has been able to incur some tempered bullishness today after a multi-day period of hovering around its support at $7,200. Today’s slight gains have come about in the face of a strong down trend, however, which could mean that these gains will ultimately prove to be fleeting and followed by further downside.

One factor that analysts are pointing to as support for the idea that the macro-bear trend is still far from being over is the fact that the options market is losing faith in BTC, which – in combination with other factors – could spell trouble for the crypto in the coming months.

Read more here

Bitcoin is moving between support and resistance as long as it stays between 7000- 7800$ we are safe. If its breaks from upside we can be in a bull run scenario and if if breaks 7000$ we can see the 6400$ lows which will further take us to the bear market. Next few days and year end closing is crucial for bitcoins.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [NEED] Fast exchange, bittrex account. on: December 26, 2019, 07:13:55 PM
I made a design for someone who paid me using SWT token (Swarm City)
Today I was surprised that the price of that currency had risen to the limits of 0.0981 on the Bittrex platform[1].
Therefore, everyone who has an account on that platform and can exchange that token, I will send you those currencies and you send me the amount from your personal account. I will pay 3%.

Generally, the amount is 280 SWT and if I get $ 18, I will be happy.
You can pay in BTC or ETH.

[1] https://www.investing.com/crypto/swarm-city/swt-btc-converter

Why don't you make an account on bittrex as it is easy to create account there. Secondly the price of SWT is only $0.038803  and not  0.0981.
I hope i am not getting it confused with any other coin with similar name.

703  Economy / Services / Re: Yobit.net signature campaign on: December 26, 2019, 06:00:38 PM
Got same issue I wasn't posting for days though but I'm always login into bitcointalk and read. I'm just not posting much. But this time when I tried checking my yobit account, I'm already disabled for inactivity. If this is going to be fixed, I'd post often from now on. Maybe the bot sees me online but didn't wear the signature for two days of inactivity. I'd   find a new campaign if this isn't fixed today.

You are probably out of it because if it is showing "disabled for activity", your account is disabled and there is no way you can rejoin the yobit campaign unless the yobit teams manually reset the account. This is something impossible to happen though.
704  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betroar.io – Try Bit Brawlers! 💰 UPDATE 11/26: .001 BTC Airdrops Extended! 💰 on: December 26, 2019, 04:57:48 PM
Hey Guys, just a heads up that there is a backlog and we are working with a skeleton crew until the 26th. PPlease note the bitbrawlers grading issues are one of the next things we are fixing and compensation for incorrectly graded matches will be sent out once this happens.

Man.

This is not a game. You are running a business, are you aware of that? You are using buggy software that has tons of bugs and clearly you are the only person working on the software as a developer and founder of the project and it looks like you don't have the enough experience and competence. Don't give anyone bullshit.

In the future, there is no way for you to succeed unless your purpose is going to scam people with a small-medium chunk of money. I know how a shady business run.

Knowing that this post will be ignored, dismissed and in the future will be quoted by someone with post saying "oh this guy said it before" in a scam accusation thread, gives me stomachache.

This is a big bug like incorrect graded matches but then again the site is given a lot of free money and bonus to test. I am sure a lot of work is to be done by the developers and coders to make everything write and they are spending a lot of bitcoins on testing only.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do Women Want? More Educational Materials Before Investing in Bitcoin on: December 26, 2019, 04:44:24 PM
Unless women don't speak an entirely different language only understood by other women, there is plenty of information on the internet related to bitcoin and the blockchain.
So I don't think lack of information is the reason women are not investing in bitcoin.
When it comes about information, i think it's not a hindrance why women do not invest in bitcoin because if they really want to, they can check into google to find more brilliant ideas about bitcoin. I believe women are less risk takers compared to men and knowing bitcoin is a very risky investment. Women usually invest in such things that do not require more risks.
women usually prefer to invest with a level of risk that is not high, and there may be some women who do not like the risk and they sometimes do not have many friends who have scope in crypto, and these things could be a reason for women not to use crypto

I do not think there is any difference of gender when it comes to trading or investing in crypto. Both genders want to get easy money without much efforts and learning which is not possible in most cases. Both Man and women should take only calculated risk and do not invest blindly.

Very Happy New Year and Very Happy Holidays to all.
707  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I enjoy posting on bitcointalk on: December 25, 2019, 04:25:22 PM
In my case, I like reading threads and comments that are posted here, I do comment and share my opinion because of I active in bounty hunting, I'm the kind of poster that like to post that I am familiar with and avoid asking questions that are already in the discussions because readers like me don't want redundant posts.

That's a very good habit of yours that you read and then post. Majority of the users here post first and do not read and therefore we see a lot of repeated and redundant posts. If we post of topics on which we have interest, our knowlegde can be beneifical for the others.  I also post if i am confused about something and need to ask a solution for it.

709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Google Authenticator is no longer 'connected' to Electrum on: December 25, 2019, 01:53:01 PM
Do you still have some money in the wallet, or is it a brand new empty one?

If it's a new one you need to choose 2FA option when you create the wallet. If you need to access funds from the old wallet you will need the old seed and use it to restore the wallet.

https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/2fa.html

Just there is any need for the 2fa for the electrum wallet when you have the seed. I mean the saving the seed to a same place is enough security and therefore i never use 2fa with Electrum. It just creates extra trouble as in the OP case. Just want to know if i am doing it right without 2fa ?
710  Economy / Services / Re: Yobit.net signature campaign on: December 25, 2019, 01:05:05 PM
Out of curiosity, does anyone who has changed to the updated signature code having problems of bot not counting posts?

If you change the Signature to the latest one, your posts will be counted.

Out of curiosity, does anyone who has changed to the updated signature code having problems of bot not counting posts?

I have updated the signature to the new code "Yobit Airdrop YoDollars" and there are no problems regarding post counts and the balance entered into the yobit panel according to what we post, so the bot doesn't error again like yesterday.

I can see you still wearing the old Signature of Investbox. Update to the New Signatures and hopefully the bot will start counting the posts for you too.

Do we have to change the personal text also? If so, which one ?
712  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware: fake XRP airdrop scam currently going on on: December 23, 2019, 01:44:11 PM

Not only the channel is up but he has deleted that video on OP and re-uploaded it so its url is changed. Its time to report this youtube video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFDp5mFDvr4 so it gets removed too. Also i am surprised to see only 1 video in the channel and subscribers are above 11K. How is that possible ?

Most probably incentivized his viewers of bought loads of fake subscribers to pass his channel off as legit.

Earned from traffic sites or bought to artificially boost their appearance of being successful. This is why numbers mean nothing. They do not lead to sales or anything. It is just an inflated number. Only actually sale leads count. YOu can have 10million views but if no one does anything you make zero. I didn't even get to see the youtube channel to go have a laugh at it. I am glad you guys reported it and it is already down the user removed the video may be to move it elsewhere after their failed attempt to scam.

If a youtube channel has a lot of subscribers either real or fake, the new user who visit the channel/video first time will feel that this is a legal channel where there are so many subscriber and anything publish on it will not be a scam. Some newbie can be fooled by this too, so these scammers needs a lot of subscribers to make their scam a real effective one.

714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Two Years Ago, Bitcoin Was Over $19,000 — What Happened? on: December 22, 2019, 10:12:22 AM
Well back then it was hype and FOMO. Not all that bought in knew what they're dealing with. Just the hope of making big easy money. Now, after what happened in 2018, people see bitcoin differently. I think it'll be hard to get the same people to jump into another FOMO like that. That's why unless whales start a drastic pump, I don't think we'll have the same movement anytime soon.

So you mean that bitcoin halving will have no impact on the start of the next bull run. Also even if those people do not rebuy, don't you think we have new investments both individual and institutional which is another reason why bitcoin should be moving up always. Back in time 2017, there were very less awareness of bitcoins as it is now, so more people should jump in the train this time around.

Its not about the number of people know about bitcoins, it more about the perception of bitcoins. People have seen all those who invested at the top and got Rekt.
This means no one will be willing to buy bitcoins as soon as it starts to pump and therefore it will reach much less amount than we may expect it to be.

716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Daniel Jacobs vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on: December 22, 2019, 04:10:17 AM
Second time it happen again for Chavez Jr. he gave up again in his corner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftgl1zAqGB4 he is throwing big punches until he says he don't want anymore must be the cut or the the hands, but one thing for sure fans don't like the way it ended, they think they have been short changed.

The uploader has not made this video available in your country.

Too bad I wasn't able to see it, although as I have said before, Chavez Jr breaks down easily and totally quit when the grind gets tougher. As fans we wanted to get our money's worth, so watching him quitting? He will get too much hatred for doing that and probably he is done.
He should quit boxing, it is obvious that his mind is not in it and it is also very clear that his last name has proven to be too big for him, he's never going to leave up to the expectations that the fans have of him, and if anything he is now giving a bad reputation to the Chavez last name.

However if people keep paying to see him and he earns a good amount of money each time that he fights then I do not know if he's going to give up boxing so easily when he is rewarded so handsomely for so little effort.

He cannot just use his father name and people will keep on interested to follow his matches. This trend will end if his losing trend continues. Winning should be the main motive in the gambling rather than only earning money.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrzLh2geQ4k

First time seeing it going on on Youtube like this, but idea is the same as always...send something,
then we will (NOT) send you more back

Edit: don't forget to report it to youtube, if link doesn't work means we succeeded  Grin

They first targeted our email then telegram channel then posting it here in Bitcointalk, now they are on Youtube now, hoping Youtubers will fall on this, I hope Youtubers are more wiser because all the information are within their reach and they will know or already know that this is a scam offer.

Youtube doesn't know if there is scam being advertised in the video. They won't remove it themselves unless is reported.

Also we need to report the channel and not the individual video if you want the whole channel to be closed. Here is how it is done.

Quote
You can report users, inappropriate background images, or inappropriate profile avatars using the reporting flow located on the bottom of every channel.
-Sign in to YouTube.
-Go to the channel page you want to report.
-Click About.
-Click the flag drop down.
Select the option that best suits your issue.
718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC or USD Pairs? on: December 22, 2019, 12:01:59 AM

KYC?
Kyc = know your customer
They will ask for your documents.

Quote
Also, why do use the usd pair when cashing out? Is this because BTC is in a bear market?
Because to cash out you need to trade cryptoxusd.
Otherwise,  how will be able to get any usd from your bitcoins? There is no other way that I am aware of.

For cashing out, i would use localbitcoins and it will ask for KYC. Rather i have already done my KYC there.
But within the exchange, converting in USD won't help for cash out purpose.  Normally i convert my BTC into usd within the exchange, when i get the signal of btc dumping.

Send cryptographic currency to email address

Abstract

A system and method for transaction bitcoin is described. Bitcoin can be sent to an email address. No miner's fee is paid by a host computer system. Hot wallet functionality is provided that transfers values of some Bitcoin addresses to a vault for purposes of security. A private key of a Bitcoin address of the vault is split and distributed to keep the vault secure. Instant exchange allows for merchants and customers to lock in a local currency price. A vault has multiple email addresses to authorize a transfer of bitcoin out of the vault. User can opt to have private keys stored in locations that are under their control. A tip button rewards content creators for their efforts. A bitcoin exchange allows for users to set prices that they are willing to sell or buy bitcoin and execute such trades.

I'm sure that Brian will take advantage of his ivtention with his Coinbase here. And it's going to be interesting if other exchanges will use his patent on their side as well, so let's see how it goes.

The important question is that is there any need for this ? Do we really want to send bitcoins through email ? Would not this will create more loop holes when it comes to the security of the email as well ? First we need to be careful about the wallet security and now email ?  Huh
