21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: September 07, 2017, 04:04:52 PM

I received this email couple hours ago.

The new legislation in China has no effect on WCX or the ICO.

Really?

So wcex.co will be opening the ICO in China and chinese citizens will be able to purchase/participate in the ICO?

Well that is good news.

Scams are already forbidden basically everywhere. Chinas legislation obviously doesn't make any difference  Grin

What is benjimarket still going on about like an old man on crack. stop promoting your ICO, nobody here wants it.
Theres so much mashing and mishing about security, what exactly is non secure? what you are glad that you were able to acces the beta? we still have no proof for certain but even if true, how does have anything to do and how is translate to customer funds? why would even much effort be made in "security" of deciding who gets or not access to beta? it's s a temporary system anyway i think.
complete false logic,, benjimarket trying to make WCX seem bad and promote his own ICO.

You're hating on someone who has given you access to more of their actual "product" than they themselves ever have. I'm the one saying this looks like a scam, btw. Because they try to start a multimillion dollar trading exchange out of hiding, with noone to take responsibility if something goes wrong. They are not disclosing anything whatsoever. All they have proven to be capable of is creating hype and fud, and they seriously ask people to send them 25k+ for nothing. It's ridiculous, and the reason you are nonstop shilling for them makes me wonder what your angle is.

Noone has promoted their own ICO, other than you theirs. That's just a false narrative you're trying to spread. You're trying to deflect from the fact that you are constantly defending them for no apparent reason, not by arguing, but by attacking whoever dares to criticize them.

@coiner thanks for the pic!

At least 2 people in this thread have confirmed from Fran Strajnar himself that he's WCX's escrow, one of them being me.

Could you share what he wrote? A screenshot would be great.

Thanks!

And BTW, accusing me of being a sockpuppet is so far away from helping your case and if you feel insulted, get your emotions out of the matter and face the facts.

Not you Smiley

Let's see what happens.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: September 01, 2017, 12:37:50 AM
nobody else in this thread saying 'scam" except you.. and also with no proof. I am open. You have proof? Or are you saying you will shut your mouth forever when beta exchange is release tomorrow?

Yet you attack benjismarket as if he was talking about your exchange, not one of a few hundred anonymous ICOs. Why the hostility?

I am also open Smiley There's no proof whatsoever that they actually have a product, a company, an escrow agent, employees, an office, and what else you need to start such a business. All we have is a fancy website, some virtual "coins", and a twitter account. Go proof they are for real.

27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: September 01, 2017, 12:10:41 AM
Coiner and hamnchess, if you two trust them so much, just put all your money in that fancy pre-ico and you're good. You behave very disdainful towards whoever voices concern. I wonder why.

But it's not about you. It's about people who are uncertain and are looking for thoughts and comments before investing. If I can prevent only one person from losing their livelihood in this scam, I'm fine with having to deal with two insulting people, even a sockpuppet.

The best that could happen for me is if I was actually wrong, because then I would invest aswell. Unfortunately, those chances are very slim. I doubt we will see one thorough, informing video review with. But let's see.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: August 31, 2017, 01:20:56 AM
Lol is so funny all scam accusations and still 0 proof of scam. "oh yes I think its scam" "yea sure is scam", please provide proof? any thing?
in my opinion the more scam accusation, the better... look how many scam accusation poloniex , bitfinex, bittrex, get every day, -- and they making billions!
scam accusation + no proof = typical skeptical poor person way to think. make rational thinking, or dont say shit with no proof, that is just troll.

You would think that it's the other way around, but I guess you know best. What i know is that you are another sockpuppet account that was only registered to defend this project.

Incent Community Update
The “Incident” & its aftermath
So, before I kick off I want to state that I can’t share any hard facts as the lawsuit is still on-going. Actually, I don’t even want to talk about “the incident” but solely focus on the aftermath and my view on how the story (hopefully) pans out.

So The lawsuite is the "incident" that we won't talk about, or is the lawsuit because of "it"? I'm just wondering if you can tell us more about the lawsuit, if only who sues who? I must admit I haven't read any of the other hundred or so pages before so maybe I just missed it when it all happened. Happy to receive a link so I can read up on it, too. If not then it's fine aswell.

The Incent team
First things first, we are going to update the team section on our homepage within the next couple of days; the old, outdated team picture has already been removed.
Do you guys have enough funds to pull through? How high is your burn rate and could you onboard even more ppl if necessary? Are they getting enough time to relax/ vacation?

The concept we have worked out during my time in Australia is a little different as we decided to include an Incent customer card. There are two QR-codes on the customer card – once a private key to scan and set up a user account, once a public key to have it scanned at the check-out and receive Incent. The intention for the MVP is that the merchant scans the QR-code of the customer either from the application or the Incent customer card, enters the billing amount and Incent get dispersed to the customer out of the merchant’s account. The percentage of Incent a merchant wants to give customers as cash-back is either defined in his profile or individually adapted per client through a slider (which overwrites the default settings). As we decided to not buy Incent in real-time from the secondary market, merchants have to hold Incent themselves. Basically, a merchant tops up his account in-app, distributes Incent to his customers until he starts running out of Incent and then tops up his balance again. In consequence, we are buying Incent in bulk from the market rather than buying back every single order individually.
You should make it super easy for the merchants to get the incent. A one-button activity, nothing complicated. Maybe even integrate an automatic top-up feature that they can set up. If they only have x% of incent left, they either get a reminder, or it will be bought automatically.

Our Trump
The most significant difference from our original plans is a natively implemented affiliate program. Whenever a user or merchant on-boards a new user (by sending out a referral link either over text or e-mail; phone-to-phone by reading their QR-code or by providing his Incent card to scan the QR-code), he is going to earn an affiliate payment on every transaction ever done by that user. This is made possible as we charge a percentage commission on each transaction issued using our application or as Rob calls it – “clip the ticket”. The ultimate goal is to have existing users and merchants on-board new customers, earning an affiliate commission on every transaction and therefore seeing their own balance increase in real-time.
This is a brilliant idea! Just make sure this is as anonymous as possible. This could be problematic from a privacy perspective. I wouldn't want my neighbour or whatever know how much I buy.

Quote
I’d like to add that each user, be it a merchant or a consumer, has an affiliate. The affiliate can be Incent Loyalty, a merchant which on-boarded a consumer or merchant to the program, or a consumer himself who on-boarded another consumer or merchant.
So if Incent on-boarded the user, Incent gets the 20% reward? Plus the 2.5% commission?
How can users on-board other users? Where would they get their card? Does one card work with all participating merchants?

Good job, well done flying over there and helping like that! It sure sounds like you're on the right track. Let's hope the tough times are soon over and they haven't taken too hard a toll on everybody, especially the team in Australia.

I have, and I know one other person here says he has. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he doesn't have the nicest words about BCT as a whole.

Who do you mean with "he"? Fran Strajnar?
Did he respond, and what did he say?

Here are some updates!

WCX Job Openings

WCX is hiring experienced community managers and customer support managers in 9 different languages. Think you qualify? Submit your application here.

Private Alpha launches on Sep 1st

WCX will launch to a private group of early users on Friday, Sep 1st. If you haven't yet signed up for the WCX Alpha, you can do so here. Information about our team and partners is expected to be released ahead of the Alpha launch. A sneak peek of the order form UI was published on Twitter here.

@wcxofficial Why have you deleted the reference to Fran Strajnar as your "lead escrow manager"? Fancy word, but can you back it up? Do you have a statement from him confirming that he will escrow for you? Where on your website does it actually state the rules for the escrow? Correct, nowhere.

Guys has anyone actually asked Strajnar if what they claim is true? Don't invest until we see the alpha (former beta). Don't let them fomo you with a "pre-sale" with limited spots and stuff like that! Be vigilant.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: WCX Exchange Looks Like a Scam on: August 24, 2017, 09:09:50 PM
Absolutely agree, if this isn't a scam it's almost worse. It's clever though, I believe they have lured some ppl in with their limited pre-ICO. Only thing I don't understand is why they have a 25k minimum investment for the pre-ico. But the referral program seemed to have worked like a charm so far.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RadixDLT (formerly eMunie) Discussion on: August 23, 2017, 03:22:35 AM
I have just heard of radix/emunie for the first time, and I'd like to read up on it. Can someone point me to something that explains the general idea? So far I haven't been able to find anything really. Is there something like a whitepaper, that summarizes the idea?

Thanks

Send a DM with your email-adress (that you used in the ICO) to KarlKarlsson_ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=369141
That's probably the next best way apart from slack.
Keep in mind that he's currently in Australia, so maybe it takes a while until he can get to it.

Thank you!

I have tried to contact the incent team a couple of times regarding my incent from the ICO. They are still sitting there and I tried to find out what to do, but I don't get any answers via email. That's really bad support if you're not able to respond to emails.
I hope someone from Incent reads this and will contact me. Or is there another way, preferably not slack?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: August 19, 2017, 12:11:14 AM
IIRC that's when all the "WCX IS SCAM!!!" poo started getting flung real hard.

I see. Well, I'm not here to tell anyone what to do. I'm stating my opinion and in this case, it's a very strong one because it angers me. Yes also because I think it's wrong and I hate it if people are treated like that, but mostly because realizing it's a scam just destroys my dreams. This is the second scam I have stumbled upon in less than a week and I'm not even searching for them.
When I heard of this ICO I was so pumped because this is exactly what I would love to buy into, and also something I understand, because I have used a lot of exchanges, and most of them have a lot to improve imo. So I did my due diligence, or so I thought. I was about to push the button and send a huge amount to the address I was given because I feared I would lose the spot.
I'm glad I was able to step back from it and convince myself to sleep over it. The next day I realised that I hadn't done ANY due diligence, because there was nothing to check and judge. There's no tangible information whatsoever. I've spent more time researching it and at some point I couldn't pretend anymore that it was legit. At least, I don't think so. I'm not happy about it, because if their calculations were right, the amount I was about to invest would have given me enough passive income for a long time, if not for the rest of my life.

Imo, it's just too good to be true.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: August 18, 2017, 11:52:04 PM
I have found an ICO of an exchange that also shares their fees with the token hodlers. It's kinda like this one, without the scam part. PM me if you wanna know the name.

As expected, you just so happen to now "know" of an ICO just like this one but it isn't scammy. Makes sense.  Cheesy

TBH, this is really the part I've been waiting for since page ~50 so I'm glad you didn't disappoint.

Hehe, yeah. I thought about it, too. You are probably right I shouldn't have said anything. But why since page 50?

I agree. They said they will be releasing escrow names. And you can wait till the alpha launch to invest as I am doing. Not sure what good it does folks to cry scam with no evidence.
My own personal experience is I've never had an issue with the WCX team. I've skyped and emailed them. I've worked on bounties and translations with them and they've always paid on time, including BTC rewards. I have no reason to doubt unless proof of wrongdoing is shown, or their promises are not held.
Perhaps as a community we can be a little more constructive?

I see it as constructive to ask for the necessary information for everybody to make an informed decision. So as long as they don't reveal anything and can't even guarantee the safety of the funds they are supposed to take care of, they re not gonna get a blank cheque to lure people into their probable scam. You should at least not defend them.
