181  Economy / Securities / Re: Virtex VTX trading disabled on: December 21, 2013, 08:12:54 PM
The only bummer is that our shares are now going to be tied to the dollar. They aren't fluctuating anymore WITH bitcoin. If bitcoin does it's superman thing again and go X100, the non-virtual VTX shares we'll get won't also be worth X100. Consider them fiat, then, like shares in $AAPL. Only some dividends will be BTC. And how many dividends, we don't know.

You misunderstand how things work. When you buy a stock, any stock mind you, in any denomination, you are selling your bitcoins and taking a fiat-exposed investment. If bitcoin goes up 100x against fiat, then the stock value will go down in some proportion, as we've all seen.

This does not preclude a business from outperforming the value of bitcoin however.

The denomination of your dividends also isn't that important. Hell, the amount of the dividends might not be either.

AM1 and AM100 dividends will come today, don't worry folks, just a bit behind.
183  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: December 19, 2013, 04:47:40 PM
I have havelock shares and divs were posted yesterday as well.
No, they were not. Last div for AM on Havelock is 2013-12-11 (last week).

AM1 and AM100 dividends will come today, don't worry folks, just a bit behind.

I got my portion of coins out, without any problems, earlier today.
186  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough! on: December 17, 2013, 03:16:01 PM
The thing is I am quite late. I was waiting for email from TAT or something that never come. I haven't even created my havelock account. How much money are we talking about (in dollar, or BTC)

Also, how do I check the number of TAT asicminer stock I have. I think i have 60-80 but I can't login to btco.co anymore.

You claimed your BTCT shares a long time ago on Bitfunder already.

I have no idea whether you still held shares on BF when it closed. Log in and find out.
187  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: December 13, 2013, 03:53:05 PM
Well, it's almost 6:00pm in Cyprus and we've had no update and no coins paid.  So I guess the obvious conclusion is that we should be patient for another week and assume that Danny and Ukyo continue to do their best and we should be thanking them for their efforts.

It's almost 5pm there.
188  Economy / Securities / Re: Friedcat does care about ordinary people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: December 13, 2013, 12:03:41 AM
bitfunder very publicly shut down

if friedcat continued paying to it's addresses, wouldn't that be criminal (or at least sue-worthy)?

just trying to understand the idea that he's doing something other than making a generally responsible move by withholding dividends

Friedcat pays dividends to the owners of ASICMiner shares. The operator of a Passthrough, in this case Ukyo, is the owner of the shares. Legally, FC should pay dividends to Ukyo. That Ukyo used the shares as backing for a PT is of no concern to friedcat.

Morally, however, friedcats decision to hold dividend payments is a good one, in my opinion. But owners of PT shares of any kind should use this as a demonstration why PTs add extra counterparty risk compared to direct shares.

No moral decisions were needed, Ukyo requested that Friedcat withhold the divs himself.
189  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 07, 2013, 09:25:01 PM
I'm wondering what AM can do to "fill the void" before Gen3 in March or more likely April?

They've done 1D (USB stick) ,2D (blades), and 3D (cubes) to keep the income coming in with old technology. What's next? More cubes or .... something in 4D perhaps? 4th dimension is time right, so the solution is obviously a time machine to travel 4 months forward to April and get the Gen3 chips populating their lovely new wet datacenter  Grin

If anyone has any sensible suggestions for how AM will fill the 4-month void, love to hear them.

Would put it forward as a question to AM but questions to AM end up in the void as well unfortunately ......

If you guys get a reasonable list of such unanswered questions together, I'd be glad to present them to FC.

This has been the case since the first poll.

Going over the posts since the last official update on November 22, I've compiled the following list.

  • When can we expect an official public relations appointment and what channels will be used to announce information?
  • What is the size of the first Gen 3 deployment and when is it expected?
  • How will Gen 3 be divided between mining, franchising and hardware sales?
  • What process size does Gen 3 use?
  • What will happen after all cubes are sold?  Will there be anything coming between now and the first Gen 3 deployment?
  • Have dividends been paid out to shareholders for the cube sales yet?

That question has already been submitted to Friedcat by ThickAsThieves.  Personally, I'm quite interested to know the answer to this, as well.

Edit: I don't expect to receive an answer before the regular update on the 22nd or 23rd of the month.

The questions were all fielded by Friedcat and he knows how he wants to answer.

Still awaiting his post though.

How often do you get a shareholders list from Havelock?

Twice per day, and I can access it live anytime the site is live.

Please whitelist this account for business use. I will follow up with a post from my main account, ThickAsThieves.

Thank you!

Confirming I control the NEO-PR account and requested whitelisting.

Thanks again.

There are millions of shares still available. The exact number will be viewable on the investor site ASAP.
193  Economy / Securities / Re: New stock on Havelock: 7C (Games on the 7th continent) on: December 05, 2013, 07:47:59 PM
All Capital raised in this or any of our future offerings will not be accessible directly by the Company looking for Capital. It is placed in Escrow and will only be distributed as needed by the Company to pay for expenses. A company will need to provide proof of what the money is used for and where the money is going. Only after verification, Funds are released only for the expenses specified, while the other funds are still kept in escrow.  We will not just provide access to the Capital raised through Havelock Investments directly to the companies. They must show which phase of development they are at in order to receive applicable funds. The same way a Construction Loan works, only in provable stages.

In the event the Company is no longer able to continue operations, for whatever reason, the remaining funds in the escrow account will be refunded to the Unit Holders equally.

Thank you,

Havelock Investments

That's a rather... unique way of handling an IPO IPVO IPFO.  Are your other asset issuers treated the same way?  Neo & Bee, for instance?
Who's the dude doing the escrow?  Does he charge for his service?
Who is doing the financial audits, same dude?
Who gets the frequent flyer mileage from the Panama - Hungary flights?

None of my securities, including NEOBEE, are under this requirement, they are all PTs anyway.

All funds raised for NEOBEE on Havelock were sent to Danny very early on.

The chatter on both sides helps no one.

Tat, I know you and I disagree here mate but you can't expect people to do or say nothing in this situation. You need to put yourself in the situation others are in. People aren't getting their money, that has all kinds of run on effects, there has been no explanation for some time now, etc. It's also very stressful for individuals.

Imagine you had most of your savings and shares with an entity and could no longer access them - for many weeks now. You had no information at all. What's more, you had commitments to other people based on those shares (since you deal in them!). Are you going to just be quiet? No way would you. You'd be on to your lawyer quick smart. Many people here are not clued up investors so are in an even worse position hence flailing from some quarters.

So yeah, it may not 'help' in terms of moving anything forwards which you know yet others are expected to trust, but it's absolutely inevitable. In those circumstances, I for one will take some grief in exchange for calming the nerves a little of some people.

Information vacuums are very bad things. No one likes to feel powerless.

I have more on the line in this than the great majority, surely.

My comment stands.

Hi there,

My Bitfunder shares were auto-tendered to NEOBEE by Ukyo on Dec. 2 and I am wondering what the procedure is to have those shares transferred to my Havelock account. I can sign from my address. Please advise.

Thank you.

No shares have been "auto-tendered". Bitfunder has not provided the final list yet.

You will need to wait until this is done, and then I will verify the list and work with Neo to deploy a claim process for those shares.

Since you are taking the time to answer questions, why not answer the most important one?

Please explain your valuation.

 Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

You probably shouldn't have Crumbs ignored. I've seen plenty reasonable criticisms come from him.
Yes but he is so tiring sometimes...but he is brilliant and talented Wink

Haha, fair enough!

How quickly could direct shares be moved to Havelock?

...
3. Direct Share holders wanting to move to Havelock - FEE**
...
** New Direct Share purchases (purchased directly from Neo's investor site ONLY) are allowed to move shares to Havelock ONCE at NO FEE. This free move is limited to the quantity of newly purchased direct shares only.
...

At the moment, they cannot be transferred, as noted on the investor site.

Please be patient and mind my earlier posts. There ARE still shares available at .003, they are just locked by meddling "fake" buyers. The system is still being adjusted to deal with some dynamics.

This may not be resolved totally in one day.
