221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers? on: March 18, 2018, 05:32:39 PM
Yes, i'm afraid of bad hackers, like everyone else, i want to protect my crypto money. Because hackers are doing a lot of illegal work. We have to be very careful and we should not click links and websites that we don't know. Protecting from these is just something we can do.

Trust me man, we all are afraid. Because we all have worked hard to get what we have either in campaigns or in real jobs to have money for investing. It is completely natural to be afraid. In fact it is a good thing because it makes us more cautious about all our investments because we are afraid to lose what we have worked hard for. And as hackers improve, we also need to improve our guard. As long as we are doing our part to protect our possessions and not relying on our wallets alone, I think we'll be fine. Good day man.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between Altcoin and Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2018, 05:25:11 PM
Besides from the spelling, what are the differences of bitcoin from altcoin. Thank you.

Well, altcoins are simply coins that are not bitcoins. The word altcoins have been coined here in the bitcointalk forum because this is a bitcoin forum. It stands for alternative coins. the same case can also be said if there is a coin that you like to be your main coin that would make bitcoin an altcoin also like others. For example, you like NEO, you can make it as your main coin and call bitcoin an altcoin. But of course it will be a different case if you include other people's thoughts since we all have different opinions and point of views. Meaning, some would agree with your thought and some won't. Hope this helps.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: life of a trader on: March 18, 2018, 05:14:55 PM
please i need advice from those traders have has been in the business for long, how do you combine it with your other normal life activities , i mean cryptocurrency trading , i just started and am glued to my phone every second , advice will be appreciated  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Lol. Truly, trading is addicting, watching all the prices change every second having profits, having losses, it really is something that is very thrilling and exhilarating to do. Which is why I think that you should tone down a bit and regulate your time well. Trading is good but like everything else, too much of it is bad. You need to be doing it moderately while it is still early. Good luck man.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: March 18, 2018, 05:06:46 PM
I'll be honest, having to shift through whitepapers as part of my job I get that many concepts aren't even well though out before putting into writing. Many ICO teams have a half baked concept and solution to a potentially made up problem and seek to raise funds over that. I'd really hope to see better whitepapers from more ICOs before they go into the fund raising phase.

I feel you man, some ideas are even copied ones or is just picking up the abandoned project or ideology of some team of developers who failed or have lost interest into continuing to improve their projects. These time is the scariest when I think about it because investors do not ask that much questions anymore and do not take into consideration the small things that can really make a difference. Nowadays, I think that even a project that aims to make a humanoid dog would make millions if managed well and advertised well. I hope people would choose more carefully about what ICOs they would invest on so that it would be harder for shitty projects to even get by.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on Redfolio on: March 18, 2018, 04:57:04 PM
I greet you, members of this forum. I closed most of the orders I had on stock market and purchased crypto a month ago. Right now I am down 40%, I don't remember having such a big loss on any investment I had before (portfolio speaking).

Usually, my stop losses come in before seeing such pictures. Should I close positions and reenter later or should I hold? I really don't know how to handle this crypto investment.

I purchased BTC, BCH, ETH, NEO, XMR, BTX, ARK and KMD.

Look man, you have already lost more than half of your investments. Chickening out now would be the dumbest decision you can ever make in your crypto life. stick by your decisions man and eat up all the shit. Just wait out the storm and I am pretty sure that you'll be fine. Besides, I think that you do have a good eye in spotting good investments so I think there is nothing you should worry about unless you invested money that you need in your every day life.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is good for future ? on: March 18, 2018, 04:38:33 PM
Which is the best coin for short term investment and which is best for long term investment?

You know what op, I really do not think that the type of coin that you will be investing at really matters(of course excluding all the shit coins and scam coins) as long as you have a good amount of knowledge and experience already here in the crypto world and are the type of person that is really eager to learn and experience more or not being contented of what you already have today. That is what I think, I hope this helps.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i buy ethereum with all of my money ? on: March 18, 2018, 04:26:41 PM
If you want to invest in crypto, You are suggested not to put or invest all your money in one basket of cryptocurrency. You can share your money in eth, litecoin, ripple and may be in btc. The amount you invest in this type of coin depends on how much your money. This decision is taken to maximize your possible investment profit and also at the same time you can control investment risk that may incurred.

Precisely! This is what I keep on telling people, that they should always look into the details and not let emotions take over them and invest all that they have in one coin just because it is showing good potential today that can easily change tomorrow or the day after. If a person really does want to have lots of profits, studying about how cryptos move would be the best course of action so that he can diversify all his funds and be more secured with his decisions. But even with that fact, I still do not recommend putting all of your money into crypto no matter how great your investing strategy is since the crypto world is not sure to exist forever. hope newbies keep this in mind.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: March 18, 2018, 04:17:29 PM
I still believe and still join in ico that I like, sometimes the value in the market does not match with my expectations but after holding it for a while then I get the profit of it, so ico still profitable
Yes I also still believe in ico there are even a lot of ico scams and some ico are sheltered because not all ico is a scam, sometimes also ico crap out there, i hope there will be a good project in the future ...

Well, there really is nothing wrong in to still believing into ICOs nowadays because despite the fact that most of the ICOs we see are all shitty projects or scam ICOs, there are still quite a few that are really good ones having great ideologies and solves real problems that we currently have not just in the crypto world but also in the real world. The only setback is that it is pretty hard to find them and every investor will really have to take a lot of time and effort if they really wanna get good returns and support a good project.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red? on: March 18, 2018, 03:45:29 PM
I think the whole year will be the same as the last month the market will be falling then grow again just will not grow, I think it's time to wait for it to recover to its previous values

Well, I too think that this red will be lasting for quite some time within this year but I do not agree that it will be this way for the whole year, not even once that what you are saying has happened yet in history. plus the efforts into fixing the major problems of bitcoins, I pretty much think that this red season will be over sooner or later within this year and prices will recover and beat all time highs again because we all know how bitcoins take other altcoins with it when it happens to rise in price every time.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some great discounts in the market! on: March 18, 2018, 03:35:49 PM
Man oh man, with the number of all the great coins that I am looking into buying in right now, I really do not think that a few minutes would be enough to be stating them all and the reasons as to why I love them that much that I am putting my savings into them. So I will just generalize them. I invested and still investing on these coins I like because after reading a lot about them, I think these coins will really give me a fortune anywhere within this year and more on the coming years. Not to mention that they have really great ideologies and does solve real problems.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLL! WHICH EXCHANGES DO YOU TRADE ON? DATA COLLECTION POLL. on: March 18, 2018, 03:25:33 PM
Team Firetoken thank you for your participation. Smiley Smiley Smiley

Our Pre-ICO will be launching in a few hours, visit our website for more details.

Would be pretty nice if I could vote on the exchanges that I like and not just one. But nonetheless, I voted for binance. because clearly it is easier to use, has low fees and has some of the newest coins out there already available for trading. And I must say that having the most variety of coins or tokens are pretty in looking for service users. Although I have used hitbtc also and like it too, I would still prefer binance.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine to Legalize Crypto Mining as Economic Activity on: March 18, 2018, 03:15:34 PM
"The government in Kiev has taken concrete steps to legalize cryptocurrency mining. Ukraine’s Minister of Economy has ordered several ministries, agencies, and the National Bank to prepare the documents necessary to include mining in the state register of economic activities. "

Thought this was pretty interesting.

But is crypto mining even profitable at this point? Idk if it's worth it for btc, maybe some other alcoins?

What do you think?

I think that this is such a good news even with the question if whether this can still be really profitable for anyone who tries mining. But even so, I think all will depend on the price of all the resources needed for mining and for the country itself or in the type of coin you are going to mine. Because if you have high electricity costs and other problems with financing, even early coins wouldn't give you that much profit. But if you have low resources costs, then even mining bitcoins can still prove to be very profitable.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know fake Airdrop project or real? on: March 18, 2018, 03:05:47 PM
Hi all! Can some body tell me, how can i know if an airdrop is real or fake?! Huh Huh Huh

I do not think that you should be too conscious about it since it doesn't require any investments and is completely free but you should also be careful about airdrops that asks too much information about you or personal ones. And unless you have a lot in your hands and time is very needed because you have a lot to do every day. But other than that, I really do not think that you should really worry about anything.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coins will you buy during this dip ? on: March 18, 2018, 01:12:03 PM
We never know when the dip is over. But buying NEO right now for 57$ is a great buy. So i looking to add some more later today. Other coins that i might add is WTC,OMG and ICX.

I gotta say, those are pretty good investing choices for a newbie, I am pretty sure that you really did read quite a lot. I hope a lot of newbies are like you so that they wouldn't have to lose a lot before learning that knowledge is really important when it comes to investing in any field like cryptos. But anyways, I would prefer more risky choices now. Sure, I have invested in sure investments but I am also looking at high risk coins and tokens right now. I love the odds of having high profits or losing a lot in a 50% chance. LOL.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: March 18, 2018, 12:57:59 PM
my suggest to you the safest to keep your coins is in the exchange, I keep my coins in my wallet but my wallet get hacked and now my coins gone.

I must say, that is the stupidest advice anyone could give to any crypto person. Thee one who taught you that may be a person that is in a different level of stupidity or has a master's degree on being stupid. You can never lose your coins easily on a wallet if you are very careful with all your possessions or coins. clearly, you were careless and haven't taken the time to read on what precautionary things you should do to keep your coins safe. You should read more. Putting all your possessions on an exchange is like giving control to your funds to other people or just like handing your money to the banks that can change terms whenever they want to and gives you no choice but to agree to them since your possessions are in their hands. Read more man.
236  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Advertising through bounty profitable? on: March 11, 2018, 01:13:38 PM
I want to ask how does the people that do bounty make money.I mean they are giving away money for free. How is it profitable for ICO teams?
Because very less amount of people invest in their ICO through bounty. Huh

Look man, I think that you are somehow not seeing the whole picture here. You see, in this industry, popularity is the main reason as to why prices vary form one coin to another. For instance, look at bitcoins, clearly a lot will agree with me when I say that there are really a bunch of coins out there that are obviously better than bitcoins. But what do most people use nowadays and put their money into? Exactly. It is bitcoin. This is simply because this is the most popular coin as of today. Now, when you think about it, all the people here are crypto lovers and users. Where other place is better to advertise your ICO than in a place like this? I hope this clear things up for you.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC Replaced by an Altcoin ? on: March 11, 2018, 12:48:59 PM
My Points:
  • BTC is tracable
  • BTC is having a huge txn costs
  • Time taken to transfer money is more than 10 minutes
  • Mining is being done with somewhat centralized servers(pools)
  • Several other Alts are now at the market and they performs well in the market
  • People use different currencies for different purposes

Well obviously, all of those you have mentioned are true and have already been taken into consideration by most investors out there. I get it, bitcoin is not perfect but it still has a lot of time to grow and get fixes to its issues that most of us get irritated about. And honestly, I think that people have accepted these drawbacks of bitcoins, which is why they still put their money into it and hold for long periods of time. Although I know that there will always be a possibility that bitcoins will get replaced by some random altcoin out there that clearly is more better than what bitcoin is today but I personally think that it will take a whole bunch of time before this happens. Specially when we try to consider that most of us here was brought in to the crypto world because of bitcoins or have known bitcoins first before we have ever heard of other altcoins.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia to Criminalize Bitcoin Use.. on: March 11, 2018, 09:38:08 AM
This is just so freaking confusing. they are just confusing people and saying all sorts of stuff when all they are gonna do is get rid of the chances that it will be used by their people. They really aren't doing anything to help legalize bitcoins. What they are doing is making people think that they are trying but at the end of the day, they will still ban it for personal reasons and agendas. Although They say that they are just protecting their countrymen and their national currency, I still can't get myself to buy that shit.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: March 11, 2018, 08:41:12 AM
Bitcoin disadvantage is the fluctuation in the currency and might be hacked if proper care is not taken but the advent of TOR by Deeponion have prevent and safe guard members investment.

I beg to differ because the fluctuations can be either and advantage or a disadvantage depending on which side it fluctuates and for a longer time it has always appreciated and pushed towards growth and so it doesn't make it a disadvantage in any way. About hacking bitcoin, unless you don't understand how the blockchain functions you might be tempted to believe it can easily be hacked so i will urge you to read on in the forum as there are so many beautiful threads to get you started.

You are absolutely right on point there man, clearly all of these dips that have happened in the past have only pushed bitcoins to have better prices later on when the storm passes. Now in regards to bitcoin's block chain being hacked, I really do not think so since it was obviously built greatly to withstand any attempts of hacking. The resources needed and the amount of effort in doing so just to be able to hack bitcoin's block chain is just too big and is really not worth it. Reading can really get you so far. everyone should do it.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Truth Concealment:what are the things that create the illusion crypto is illegal on: March 11, 2018, 07:56:34 AM
Well, that's real world for you. This is the reality that we all have to live by and accept. We as people who already know this fact and have realized it already must spread awareness more not only to our loved ones and friends but also to strangers and use the social media sites to our advantage so that a lot of people will be aware of this and will be able to know what to do whenever they encounter something of the like. It is truly an advantage to know more or see the deeper picture out of anything. Let us not be selfish and share the benefits and one day, I know that we will all get more out of the benefits that are pretty worth the effort of sharing the information knowledge we already have. -See the bigger picture.
