542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: October 17, 2017, 08:12:33 PM
Do you think the richest families or personalities in the world would be interested in using bitcoins??
And if so, would that be a good thing for us small people or negative??
I mean rich people are capabale of so much things, so it makes me wonder..

Well, more and more are getting hooked into bitcoins. So i think rich people would really invest, either for fun or for profit. Because rich people do not get contented easily with what they have. They will always look for something more. But then again, it may be a waste of time for them because they are not used to it and they do not need that much money anymore.
Another reason may be illefal activities. That's what i thunk
543  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 7 People arrested for Bitcoin Trading on: October 17, 2017, 07:41:55 PM
It's the latest in development from the country of Nepal which started nabbing bitcoin traders for fraud. Can be sentenced to upto 3 years in prison.

First case of bitcoin related arrest in the country.

This really isn't surprising if you ask me. Nepal has always hated crypto currencies ever since.
Honestly, I pity those men imprisoned just because of using bitcoins. But they already knew what would happen if they get caught.
And still they chose to continue using bitcoin. So they should face wjat ever the consequences may be.

This news is really quite scary if you ask me, because other governments may do the same to any of us here. I wish this hatred for crypto just disappears so that we all can unite in making this world better with the help of crypto currencies.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think we don't get quality Bitcoin users anymore? on: October 17, 2017, 07:15:32 PM
Maybe I'm wrong but I have the feeling that with Bitcoin price growth we have got a lot of new users who are not honesty and passionate interested in Bitcoin but only in fast, instant profit and if they don't get it they got disappointed and give up. Some of them don't even bother to get some basic knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. That is also the reason why we see so much panic selling when the price dumps. Is that only my feeling or do you think that also?

Couldn't agree with you more. Bitcoin holders back then really knew quite a lot about bitcoins than most of the people today. Because a lot are only into bitcoining because of the profit they expect to get. Amd simply because, they just want to be in the new trend and not get left behind.

Kniwing human nature, this was already bound to haopen ever since. Because people will always take advantage of everything they can for as long as it is good for them. Some don't even bother to stop taking advantage unless things get ugly. That's just how things work in this world.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Good Reason to Own Some BTC on: October 17, 2017, 07:07:51 PM

If you are traveling and lose your credit card, but in a country that has a reasonably active Bitcoin scene, you can sell some BTC to pay bills while "over there".

This may become an issue for us.

Here is a case for having an online wallet, "travels anywhere".

This really is the ups of having bitcoins. Because no matter where you are, as long as there is an Internet connection, you can survive. I even saw a person in this community sharing his experience in traveling with only a small amount of cash and just fully relied on bitcoins for his daily needs on his vacation. According to him, he really enjoyed and still had the extra cash he brought with him when he came home. All his expenses were payed using bitcoins(turning them in to fiat first of course).

So I think this is more than enough reason to jump into Bitcoins. Which doesn't just give you profit, but also an easier life to live.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Being Manipulated on: October 17, 2017, 06:58:22 PM
Hello y'all, I recently noticed something about Bitcoin, it seems that the countries that have more users of the crypto are manipulating the currency behind the scene. Forget the issue of it being demand and supply. Take a look at when China brought up a regulation on bitcoin in the country, the price of bitcoin dropped rapidly, so that the rich elites can buy much of the currency during that period since the price is now lower.

This is what am guessing though and I shouldn't be criticised since we're in a free world in which nothing is free. Grin Grin Grin

Lol. Clearly you have been reading a lot of false news. Haha.
What you are saying is just something that is unbelievable (judging by the circumstances).  Because if you haven't figured it out yet,  clearly, the action of the chinese government was just a natural reaction to get rid of all the scams and shitty ICOs in their back yards connected to the crypto world. Just to make a clearer path way for their very own cryoto currency.

So naturally, this will cause a series of orice corrections because a lot of panicking people will sell their bitcoin possessions no matter how cheao just to cut their losses necause they believe all the crappy fuds being spread around by dumb people or trolls. There may even be a strong possibility that big whales soread this fud to get bitcoins cheaper.

So better relax man, this is something that isn't far from ordinary.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is effect of upcoming Bitcoin Forks on existing bitcoin holders? on: October 17, 2017, 06:49:34 PM
What is effect of upcoming Bitcoin Forks on existing bitcoin holders? Just like last time there were alot discussion to take bitcoins offline etc...

Nahh, bitcoin holder will stay the same. Real holders will just sell the Bitcoin gold to get more bitcoins and then continue to hold even wgen the price of bitcoins fall a bit. While others will sell parts of their free bitcoin gold to play safe and never regret. Either ways, nothing will change a true holder of bitcoins. Even when the price goes down, people who have been here long will only see it as another day at the office. Same goes for all the forks that may come.

But hey, if something bad haopens to bitcoins because of these forks, then at least we all suffer. If that makes you feel better. Lol
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can Bitcoin help the developing world? on: October 17, 2017, 06:28:29 PM
I want to try open Bitcoin Business. This cause I just have this question. I wanna know is Bitcoin can give a better world and future.

Clearly, it will make the world better no doubt about that. So better build a business for it sooner so you can be one of tge people who did it early.

Now, in reality, the technology behinf Bitcoin is amazing. Simply because it is both a currency and an asset. It has the ability to improve the way we transact. It can improve the systems we have today. It can also be a way to lessen the number of unemployment. Why? Because clearly it is really profitable at the moment. And everyone who are willing can really do it and make it big in the crypto world. Because, it does not require much from a person. Just a good amount of common sense, good judgement, and a small capability of speaking and understanding English. These are the things that people need to start of living in the crypto world. But of course, more capabilities the better. But all in all, those are just the things a person needs to be able to get into the crypto world.

Now, if a lot of people get in this and gets a better life, then i am sure that it will improve not just the economy but the whole world.
549  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: October 17, 2017, 06:16:08 PM
I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??

Wasn't really thinking about this. But now that you've mentioned it,  it really is a topic that is quite puzzling. Because as what you have said, it is mainly used in trading by most of the people in the crypto world than as a currency. So analyzing, bitcoins may be just an asset right?

But, if you think about it more, you will understand that it simply is both a currency and an asset.
Because in history, bitcoins were founded by satoshi with the vision of it being a great currency through decentralization. But due to its limited supply, it has become a rare thing. Which is the reason why its price, rises a lot. And due to people who sell, the prices also drop and back again. Which then lead to everyone taking advantage of it and used it more as an investment for profit and a trading tool.

So I guess bitcoin is pretty much an asset and at the same time, a currency.

Hope this clarifies a lot of questions in your mind.
550  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange Bittrex began to block accounts!!! on: October 17, 2017, 06:04:54 PM
Hello everybody!
I just found out that the exchange has started to block accounts!
Without explaning the reason!

Yes, it's all very cryptic at the moment. Bittrex is silent while thousands of users are complaining about disabled accounts and enforced enhanced verification. Journalists are starting to pick the story up:

There is speculation that it has to do with country of origin; apparently many users reside in countries like Iran, Pakistan and Russia. Bittrex is, of course, based in the US. Other users are reporting that Bittrex emailed them and said that since their account was valued at more than $1,000 that it must be verified. In the meantime (days) it seems that many people are simply locked out and unable to trade or withdraw.

Bloody hell! These type of actions are just so unreasonable and so unfair! They should've at least adviced or announced this new policy that they have just implemented a few months earlier! Or at least made a message like : beware of our new policy blah blah blah every time someone trusts their funds to them! They should give proper customer services because they owe to the people what they are today!  They already knew about the upcoming fork way  ahead than anyone. They should've done this earlier when the damands for bitcoin isn't that huge yet.

Im starting to think that they are really doing this on purpose.
I just hope what I am thinking is wrong because i just feel so bad about all the people who got locked out from their accounts.  :/
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: interest in bitcoin is increasing on: October 17, 2017, 03:44:02 PM
BTC interest is increasing because some Government have started recognizing BTC and there have been a growth and demand of international money transfer from one country to  another with BTC

I agree. A lot of mt friends today even started getting into bitcoins without telling me, because they were too embarrassed to admit that I was right lol. They literally ate their words. And i just laughed at them when they told me earlier this day about them buying bitcoins. Because they literally knew nothing about it and just bought as much as they could at a very high price lol.
Now they regret not telling me before buying because now they know that they could've blught it cheaper after the fork,. So i just told them that at least they would get bitcoin gold for free. Which they wanted me to explain through a drink at the bar, but i told them im busy. Hahaha just teasing them. But i will exolain it tomorrow to them anyways so all good. Just wamted to get back at them a bit for making fun of me a few months earlier. Haha.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a 'speculative bubble' and unlikely to become a real currency: UBS on: October 17, 2017, 03:34:39 PM
"Bitcoin is a 'speculative bubble' and unlikely to become a real currency, UBS says"

  • Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are in a "speculative bubble," according to UBS
  • The investment bank said that it is "highly doubtful" that these will ever become mainstream currencies
  • But blockchain technology could have a "significant impact" on many industries, UBS says

Jamie Dimon gets an ally, after getting revolts from Tom Lee (former JPMorgan managing director), MacQuarie, Morgan Stanley CEO and maybe even Goldman Sachs CEO.

People like jie dimon : blah blah blah..
Me : oh well, another day at the job.

Clearly this is just a big scheme to dragg as much people as they can down with them and to cheapen the price of bitcons. These guys probably regret not getting their hands on bitcoins when they were cheaper back then. Which is probably also the reason why they spread out all kinds of bull crap about bitcons. And it is even possible that these guys joining in to trash talk bitcoin know very little to nothing about what they are talking about. They can't even realize that their statements are so full of crap that people only see them today as laughing stocks for amusent. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon is not a man of his words! on: October 17, 2017, 03:24:36 PM
This guy has gone total insane over Bitcoins by trying to criticize Bitcoins giving so many negatively publicized statements, one of which was this recent one: ‘Stupid’ Bitcoin Buyers Will Pay the Price." So, we're stupid enough eh!?
I salute to this guy who looks too much scared about his empire and ending era of his fear over people being a complete mafia in the world of trading. A person who used to influence markets too much, is extremely "stupid" enough IMHO as he is just helping Bitcoins way too much by commenting over it. I am glad he is saying all this to Bitcoins and thank him to carry over the bullshit. Well, what comes to my mind first when I see his comments nowadays is that this guy must be doing something shady behind like investing himself in Bitcoins and making a fool of everyone by asking them to drop their idea of putting their money in Bitcoins to buy the dips. What's on your mind about this?

This Jamie dimon guy has lost his credibility in my eyes for quite a long time already. Clearly, he only apits out bullshit just to hide his evil intentions. He clearly wants smaller people buying into bitcoins because he wants a to buy at dips.

Anyways, it isn't that shocking if you ask me, i have already seen a lot of people that were actually great people that became far frok who they were and forgotten where they came from just because of the temptations provided by gaining money. This is such a common happening since the dawn of time. The thing that would be most surprising is a person that has almost everything and still stays the same or doesn't step on others just to get higher from where he is alrwady in.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: October 17, 2017, 02:51:47 PM
Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh

Actually, I am already saving bitcoins for the future of my son. I put about 30% of every prpfit i get from everything I do or invest at to his wallet.

I am doing this simply because I want him to have a decent amount of bitcoins in the future that he can not just bragg about but actually use to help him with his life. And he can also say how cool his dad is for getting him lots of bitcons. Lol.

But of course,  I do not keep the keys alone. I placed my keys to the bank and has a clear message above the phone box that this is the bitcoins I worked hard for you son. And a lot of messages that are meant for his eyes only.
I do not wamt to share it to other people or place the keys somewhere else myself because I do not wamt to lose it in any way. Imagine me telling my son that - hey son, I got you a decent amount of bitcoins but sadly someone i trust stole it. Or i have lost the keys. That would be just stupid.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do thousands of investors hold bitcoin on troubled days? on: October 17, 2017, 02:06:22 PM
Bitcoin has a huge demand among thousands of investors who dream of a non-cash future, and now they are investing in digital currency, not traditional means.
The first crypto currency has already turned early investors into millionaires, and tries to do everything possible, if only the many thousands of people radically changed their views on traditional markets and investments in general. Although those who use and support bitcoin still make up a smaller percentage of the world's population, in the millennial generation of investors, the number of young people who turn away from traditional financial empires is growing. If this trend continues, it could mean an absolute collapse of the banking system, as it continues to adhere to outdated algorithms. Until now, there is some way, until even the most seasoned investors are completely free of traditional banking and monetary institutions, but today they can already control their future in terms of investments. Since it is easier for them to manage their own savings plan by investing and reinvesting new technologies. Although they continue to deduct a certain percentage of the usual pension fund, and their accounts still have to be paid through a bank account, but investments in crypto-currencies have become for them a central part of savings.

Somehow, your post seems to appear quite confusing. But i think i get where you are getting at.

Ir is teue that a lot of people have turned their backs completely from traditional ways in terms of trading, investing, and so much more. There are also people who stays in the middle because they are more comfortable being in both sides(which includes me by the way). While others still are thinking wether they should jump in to the world of crypto currencies or not because of all the bad things they hear about Bitcoins and other crypto currencies existing at the moment.

These brave souls who are open minded to new things will be the ones to reap success in the end. The crypto world is only about the strengths of the hearts and monds of the people. And if a person lacks one of both, then he surely will not last long in the crypto world. As how i see it.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: October 17, 2017, 08:24:05 AM
I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.

I stongly agree with you on this. Because I too have been worrying about these problems for the past months. This really are the major problems of bitcoins that should really be taken into consideration by everyone involved in the community. Because if these problems does not get taken care of, sooner or later, this will take its toll on the whole crypto world and soon on all of us.

But then again, if bitcoin does not survive these type of adversities, then I don't think it is deserving for all of our trust and admiration to it.

Eth is great. But im still siding with bitcoin. It is more of a loyalty now than profit.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is The Bitcoin Become New Money In The World on: October 17, 2017, 07:05:09 AM
Especially lets start to discussion about this sexy topic ...the information of bitcoin spread fast in internet and more people write in the blog or website they talking about benefit of bitcoin, the impact of bitcoin, the weakness of bitcoin and etc..but let's be smart think ..beside the situation in may country in the world all most people has release the function of bitcoin and make our-life thinks be more specially in transaction..for example buy cloths using bitcoin and etc...but the more news every government more talk out to ban this bitcoin..they said bitcoin is illegal money ...oowww....amazing statement..okay lets be think...

The condition in our life every country is different but the common sense is same we need money and we need comfortable life, this topic relation about our satisfied..I need have beauty girlfriend , I need Big House, I need new car and etc...meanwhile we life in our-self dream ...we have controlled by if the most community will be reach , the control will be down...we have there economic gap..and this time to wake up..not only them..we all the same....

Man! My bleed is nosing because you are English2x me! Wadapak!
Lol, just had to. Haha

But seriously though, bitcoin really is getting more and more famous everyday. And that is a provej fact. Not just another speculation.  Because yes, it really is the dream of any crypto lover to be able to maximize the functionality of bitcons. Amd hearing this dreams, people outside crypto world will obviously be curious, which then would lead tgem to do theur own research about this currency called bitcoins. And the rest is history.

Yes, we all have our own share of differencs from each other. But we all have one thing in common. Which is tge dream of a bitconer. Which was mentioned earlier. And along with it is the dream for a better life. Where working for more than 12 hours a day just to make ends meet will only be a memory. This is what I believe is driving all of us to strive hard and stay here on this forum.
558  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why so many currencies? on: October 17, 2017, 06:27:28 AM
Hi All,
Please help me understand in plain English how will we benefit from so many currencies?
I see so many startups with decentralized blockchain ideas with their own crypto currency.
Today I purchased oatmeal directly from a mill at their website.
This mill sells its products thru grocers and other online stores as well.
They probably gave 3% to the credit card company, which they could reduce by using blockchain.
But if every store and every business starts creating their own currency, then I will have to go thru an exchange to convert BTC or ETH to that coin to make some purchase.
Then we would need miners to process all those transactions in various coins.
Why can't they just use ETH? Just like all IPOs use dollars.
Thanks in advance

Well, I don't know about you guys but I for sure have got only 3 currencies that I am currently using today. And those are my country's, the us dollars, and bitcoin. The other coins or tokens you have mentioned? I only see them as trading tools(other than dollar signs of course). But hey, some of these coins really have great platforms. And may be of use to any of us in the future. So i think it is still too early to call these all other coins/tokens as useless. Because some of yall might even be users of these coins like me who use it for trading.

560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan ready to kick Bitmain's ass on: October 17, 2017, 06:00:01 AM

Japan’s leading internet conglomerate and bitcoin exchange operator GMO has announced that it is expanding into the businesses of bitcoin mining and chip manufacturing. The company revealed plans to produce and sell 7nm semiconductor chips and run a mining facility in Northern Europe.

"We will operate a next-generation mining center utilizing renewable energy and cutting-edge semiconductor chips in Northern Europe. We will use cutting-edge 7nm process technology for chips to be used in the mining process, and jointly work on its research and development and manufacturing with our alliance partner having semiconductor design technology."

This 7nm would outperform the current generation of Bitmain's Antminer S9s. It will take a while until Bitmain catches up, this means that we may finally see some cracks in the ridiculous Bitmain's evil monopoly (evil because they promote dogshit like Bitcoin Cash, do evil miner things like mine empty blocks then complain about fees etc)

I hope more and more big players enter the game of mining. I remember Putin wanted to get in too, and im sure USA will be kicking miner ass too. nVidia and AMD will be there soon too with their own ASICs. This mining game has only begun. Bitmain's monopoly will be over sooner or later.

Damn this news just feels sooo damn great! Finally! A competition for bitmain! This should be a grwat eye opener for bitmain to improve their services at last. Not that it would make a difference after what they have shown the public. But at least now they would realize that customer care is more important than anything else.

Now that a lot of big players are thinking of jumping in to the crypto world mining industry, I think there would be great competition in quality,  customer care, cheap prices, and ao much more. This will really be a big step forward for the crypto world. I just hope that all this will happen as soon as possible.
