1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: Today at 03:18:40 AM
I think it is nothing more than a plan that leads to discipline for the sake of prevention, but of course it does not mean that it cannot be violated, or it means that it is just a plan to divide the budget and even though you know your limits but it does not mean that you will always be able to stop when you have reached the limit, in the end all of that will be useless at all if for example you cannot control yourself and your emotions, and also it will not be useful if basically you gamble with the aim of making money, because of course you will experience a lot of pressure when you lose or you will be greedy when you have won and that will continue to lead you to excessive gambling activities even though you have previously implemented a good plan.
One of the main reasons many of us get hooked on gambling is the pursuit of money. Once greed takes over, it becomes hard to control ourselves because all we can think about is winning. That’s why gambling can ruin lives. But if we shift our perspective, we can enjoy it responsibly and steer clear of addiction.

In fact, many people have become responsible gamblers because they understand what gambling is and the impact it can have on their lives.
That’s why it’s so important to know how to avoid addiction and take it seriously—before it’s too late to avoid regret.

2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think you could turn $1k bankroll to $10k in a year? on: December 04, 2024, 12:14:38 PM
I do that in an hour easily.
You are an expert gambler, and you've got a big winning history. Not everyone has got the patience to gamble as you do. I've done it in the past through Dice, and the same got ruined on the same day. It's not about the greed, but the lack of self-control. I started to gamble at midnight and reached $10k+ in the early morning. While having breakfast, my wallet is empty. This is a possible thing, because there is one year, and all we need is the perfect plan and patience to handle the bets.
I don't believe there's such a thing. Expert gambler? Nah. I think he said that because he is betting with high amounts and $10k will definitely be easy for him if he will bet $1k for each round and win it with x1.5 or maybe more. Also, I believe he is just being arrogant about what he said and he may win that amount fast but he can also lose it way faster than an hour.
Gambling is a win or loss in any game or sport. Even the most favorite team can lose at x1.05 odds. But those who will gamble the $1k slowly and wait for a high multiplier could also take a long time before it happens. It's better to just keep it or save it.
Experienced gamblers understand the reality of gambling. People who claim they can consistently make money from it are just fooling themselves—and others. We all know that no matter how long you’ve been gambling, it doesn’t guarantee you’ll win because luck doesn’t stick around forever. Expert gamblers may exist, but that does not mean they can beat the house, as losing still happens.
That’s why I don’t get jealous when someone hits a big win. In gambling, everyone has their moment of luck. I’m willing to wait for mine because pressuring yourself and chasing after wins only makes it harder—it pushes luck even further away. So, I’d rather be patient. I know my time will come eventually.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you listen to your instinct before gambling? on: December 04, 2024, 11:21:08 AM
I do, but not often. Honestly, it’s not just about the strategy or the odds—luck plays a huge role too. Even if I believe this team will win and decide to place a big bet while ignoring the odds, it’s still a good choice—sometimes I win, sometimes I lose—that is reality.

For me, there’s nothing wrong with trusting your instincts because we know that no strategy is perfect. As a gambler, I go with what feels right at the moment. And if I win because I followed my instincts, then why not? At the end of the day, we’re here to enjoy ourselves, and that’s what really matters.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a reflection of our personality on: December 04, 2024, 07:05:05 AM

How about you? Do you think you as a gambling also reflects your personality outside of gambling itself?
I disagree in the reason that not just because I got hooked on gambling, it means I’m foolish. Let’s be real—sometimes we make bad decisions or form poor opinions. It happens. But there’s a saying: people change after learning from their mistakes. Unless, of course, someone chooses to let their life out of control without any regrets—that’s a different story.

I actually have a friend who’s addicted to gambling, yet he’s still doing well and has no financial problems. Meaning, despite his addiction, he is able to manage to keep his mindset firm. I know this is a rare situation because, for most people, gambling addiction does a serious impact on their finances.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Most lottery winners go broke after few years" on: December 03, 2024, 11:04:47 AM
Those who are rich have better money management than the poor, so far the rich have only made gambling a pleasure and also entertainment for them to spend time and money, while those who are poor of course have great hope if gambling and lotteries can change their lives although in the end it only destroys their lives, for those who are poor, of course, the big victory makes them surprised and happy extraordinarily, so that they lose control in spending the money only for splurging and with the absence of good financial management, of course, it only makes them poor again.
He/she will, because they won’t know what to do next unless they seek guidance from people with knowledge about money and investments. A lot of people have become millionaires through the lottery, but unfortunately, the money doesn’t last long. Why? Because the first thing that comes to our mind is to spend and live the millionaire lifestyle.

Now, I’m not saying it’s wrong to treat ourselves as we deserve it! But we also need to remember that winning the lottery is just likely a once-in-a-lifetime event. That is why it is important to spend wisely and invest in things that can generate returns. Otherwise, we can’t expect us to stay millionaires, especially if we keep relying on gambling to maintain our fortune.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling a scam on: December 03, 2024, 10:19:49 AM

Now, for the online gambling, I don't think it's even close as fun as land based casinos, so, most people in online gambling are actually aiming to win cash.
I'm not gambling without a reason. We often hear stories about people making big money through online gambling, which is why so many get encouraged to gamble as well. Unfortunately, the reality hits hard—people chase the dream of earning quick cash, some even borrowing money to start, only to end up losing everything.

Maybe that's what the OP is pointing out, but it doesn’t mean we should say that gambling is a scam. The truth is, we go in assuming we will win, and when we don’t, we’re quick to cry “scam.”

If you are a true gambler, you know the risks—you understand that winning isn’t guaranteed and more often losing than winning.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Risks of Bypassing Country Restrictions in Casino Sites on: December 02, 2024, 02:40:45 PM
I believe this is very clear, and I don’t think a gambler should do something when they already know the possible consequences. To me, it is a desperate move and lacks good judgment.

If we’re responsible gamblers, we wouldn’t engage in anything that could put us in harm’s way down the line. If gambling is prohibited in our country or region, we can surely find other things to enjoy. After all, gambling isn’t the only thing to enjoy, and forcing it could lead to even greater regret. That is why it’s essential to think carefully and always remember—it is better to stick to what is legal and safe.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling winnings on: December 02, 2024, 01:57:39 PM
For me, winnings in the game are just that, winnings that should be taken advantage of and given at all times to be enjoyed, some say that they leave money in the casino to play next time, not me, when I win I don't leave absolutely anything because I like to enjoy what I previously worked hard for and I see more merit in that than just leaving the winnings in the casino , let's just imagine that we go to a physical casino, are we going to leave money in the physical casino for when we return again? No, I'm scamming you and we're off to the races, the player will see how he spends his money because it is his money, the fruit of his effort.

There’s a reason why some gamblers choose to leave a portion of their winning money at the casino—they believe it saves them more in deposit fees. It’s a common practice, especially for regular players, and I think it’s a pretty reasonable approach.

Of course, not everyone thinks the same way. Like you said, we all have our own reasons and choose the option we feel works best for us. As you mentioned, you’d rather enjoy the money you’ve won instead of leaving it there, thinking there’s a risk of losing it if it stays with them. Well, that is fine as we prevent ourselves from falling addicted to gambling because the moment we know that we still have money left in the casino, we have also pushed to gamble.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of an addiction on: December 01, 2024, 12:25:46 PM
^

Gambling addiction as in principle other addictions have several stages. In addition, each gambler has his or her own psychological profile. Therefore, someone realizes that he became gambling addicted at an early stage, and someone does not, or just does not want to admit it thinking that if he recognizes the addiction he will be a weakling. Try asking people who are addicted to alcohol or drugs if they are addicted. Most will say that they are not addicted and have no problems. People with gambling addictions are no different. But we know how things really are.
Early-stage addiction is much easier to address, but once it becomes severe, it’s definitely not an easy recovery. An addicted gambler rarely recognizes or admits they have a problem. Instead, it’s the people around them—family and friends—who notice the changes in their actions and behavior, which are far from normal or how they used to be.

That’s why the role of loved ones is important in taking immediate action and helping with treatment. They’re often the first to spot the warning signs and intervene. Addicted individuals can’t overcome this alone; they need support, care, and proper guidance from the people who truly care about them.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Sometimes Forgot To Check Your lotto Ticket on: December 01, 2024, 11:49:51 AM
This often happens to someone whose focus isn’t solely on the lottery. But let’s be honest, that’s pretty rare. Most people who buy tickets are usually excited to find out the results as soon as they’re announced. That’s not the case for me, though.

Truthfully, if you’re a true gambler, you’re eager to know the outcome. Some people are already on the site well before the draw, just waiting—that excitement is typical gambler behavior, and it can't deny the fact that if ever we missed the draw, we check results online immediately.
But anyway, he’s lucky to have that kind of mindset, or else he might’ve ended up placing even more bets.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino welcome bonuses on: November 30, 2024, 10:19:22 AM
So here's what got me thinking, is it possible that some of these promotional offers by casino are just a mirage to get gamblers all hyped up and active in their casino ...
We often assume that a simple deposit is all it takes to claim a bonus, but it's crucial to keep in mind that there are typically additional requirements. Sure, casinos are willing to give these bonuses—but only after you’ve completed the conditions.

Of course, the real reason casinos offer these bonuses is to grab attention. They invest in these promotions knowing they’ll get even bigger returns in the long run. However, we need to be cautious with these offers because some people use them to scam others. That’s why, before using any site, it’s essential to check its legitimacy to ensure we are on the right platform—not a fraudulent one.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stay away from gambling before it's too late. on: November 29, 2024, 11:17:00 AM
You should stay away from gambling because it's all a real lie, to hell with gambling and the like. to satoshi thank you for making all the new buzz. if you are still in this world I'm sure you will make another breakthrough for many people who are addicted to gambling. because I think gambling is the worst substance than drugs. but it seems like you are gone, and I will also catch up with you if I don't get a way out from the gambling trap that ruined my finances until I'm deeply in debt.
Perhaps we already know the risks of gambling, but we still choose it. Whatever happens to me, I don’t blame anyone else—this is my decision. If gambling makes you upset or angry, don’t force your views on others. Instead, let people have their freedom. Not every gambler shares the same experience; many genuinely enjoy it and find happiness in what they do.

Of course, it’s undeniable that some people fall into gambling addiction and ruin their lives. But that happens because they lack self-control. Misguided beliefs about gambling often lead to negative outcomes. That’s why, before diving into it, our intentions should be clear. By doing so, we can avoid situations that might lead to unfavorable consequences.

14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a weird way of weath redistribution? on: September 16, 2024, 12:28:34 PM
...So, the one who really benefits the most is the casino owner, not the gamblers who enter gambling platforms, whether online or in physical casinos.
Housed edge always win at they never lose ever in the end.

Those who enter the casino for the sole purpose of having fun also win. And although winning in this case is not the main goal, it comes to those who especially do not expect it as a second bonus.
That’s exactly how it goes. The ones expecting to win are usually the ones who lose, while those just having fun often end up winning. But even if you do win, if you can’t control your gambling habits, all that money will just go right back to the casino. In the end, it’s the casino that always benefits.

If we want to keep our winnings, we’ve got to learn to control ourselves—especially when it comes to greed.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common Mistakes people make in Trading on: July 23, 2024, 07:15:42 AM
It has been said that all of them are common mistakes, and they still exist no matter how often a trader falls into any of them. No matter how we try to avoid them, as human beings who are born with emotions and weaknesses, we can't fully avoid them. It is a fact to accept that mistakes are usual, but we don't have to think this is a reason for our failure. We can be better traders even if we commit mistakes if we know how to accept them and minimize losses. Handling emotions is not easy, which is why achieving success is not easy either.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I introduce Bitcoin to my client? on: July 17, 2024, 03:19:55 AM
If I have a client that wants to invest in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies, but he/she does not have any actue ideas on how the Bitcoin ecosystem works. How do I convince such person? what are the smartest ideas and informations I need to share to such person inorder to align with their vision?

I need suggestion to this.

You don't need to tell your client, for example, about the sensation, but you just need to convey that investing in BTC must be long-term and also remind him about things that are considered specific, for example the timing when he will buy, because if that is not conveyed, he will definitely blame you for the recommendation. what is given is considered misleading and detrimental to him.
Generally, it is giving them the right information, and understanding these informations gives them interest and are enough for them to say, I will invest.
It is not necessary we urge people to invest, even our clients but, it is their decision and willingness to take risks.

Quote
Maybe along the way, not everything is as desired, but at least there are many positive points that come to your client's mind. Moreover, he came and believed in the great potential behind the technology in BTC, which in itself will increase the value of trust that investing in BTC will not be in vain in the end.
Because in the point they fully understand how these things work, they don't need other people to invite them, they will go first. Building trust matters a lot and it is not impossible we know the system and the right thing to do. But to live in doubt gives them a reason to decline even though we give them a hand to help.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not be discouraged while learning to trade. on: July 16, 2024, 02:02:21 PM
Getting discouraged from trading is a part of the learning cycle. All traders learned how to trade because trading is a skill and not a talent and unlike talents that could be naturally in born with, skills have to be learned. A new trader can become discouraged about the learning process in trading when they see other more experienced traders doing so well and making profit consistently. Every old and profitable trader currently was one time a new trader and that should be something that we can draw encouragement from to continue learning until the time when we become the experienced traders of tomorrow that we talk about today.

Learning to trade is not a curse that we need to be afraid of nor to feel discouragement when committing mistakes and losses. Everyone has been a newbie and every trader makes mistakes before they learn and improve. Therefore, if we want to become a profitable trader, then we also have to feel courage and determination rather than feel uncertain. Remember, our mind controls us, and if we are positive, that also influences us to become positive as well but if we are already in doubt and have no confidence, it is impossible to reach our goal of being a profitable gambler.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Addiction is 100% your choice: on: July 15, 2024, 11:17:58 AM

Can you comfortably tell yourself that you have never been addicted to gambling and that you can never be addicted to gambling because of how you go about it?
I know we never want to fall into addiction but because of our greed and the chase of winning, never realize that we are already there.
If we keep in mind that being a responsible gambler at the start, this addiction is impossible but sadly, most of us can't manage to control our emotions leading to such a thing. Many gamblers tend to regret and try hard to escape. Unfortunately, only a few succeeded while most still face the consequences and live like that.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade multiple trading pairs or only a few trading pairs? on: July 14, 2024, 12:29:36 PM
In the crypto market, there are many trading pairs. After trading only two pairs for a year, I discovered that it is good to focus on a few pairs. Why? It has allowed me to master those two pairs and understand how they really move. It has also taught me patience because when your favorite setup does not appear, you can avoid entering a trade. Remember, jack of all trades, master of none.

What is your opinion about this?
That is very important in trading.
Many traders think that if they trade with multiple trades that can make them more profitable but the truth is that it leads them to losses as they can't manage them anymore. Maybe multiple trades are possible for experts and old traders but for newcomers, it is advisable to take 1 pair at a time and focus on it. More trading pairs also increase risk and stress, and more often we fail to communicate with the market which certainly leads to making wrong decisions.

Mastery- if we had this, it was not difficult for us to take more. But for me, 2-3 trading pairs are enough.
