I was just introduced to this currency by my good friend Tyrone from about a week ago, he gave me the birthday present and said something about good acid but I am not interested in drugs so I do not think I will be spending the bitcoin that way but I am still interested in other opportunites of bitcoin currency!
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The hoarding problem on: January 28, 2013, 08:28:23 AM
I think some of the hoarding problem is that there really isn't anything to spend bitcoin currencys on! That's the main reason I am not spending, because there is only gambling, drugs and small electronics dealers that accept bitcoin. If there is more reason to spend it there is less hoarding in the future!
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Businesses or Services that Bitcoin could use on: January 28, 2013, 08:15:23 AM
If Ebay or Amazon starts starts accepting bitcoin I think the market is go nuts, and price shoot up fast!! I think Amazon has an incentive to go because they already do not like Paypal because it is affiliated with Ebay, thus if Amazon adopts bitcoin then the Paypal business is go bad! Also I can go spend my bitcoins there to buy things for me and my friends!

Wait, there are transactions fee with the bitcoin currency? Since when was this enacted?

EDIT: I made some research, and It seem like the policy of bitcoin was enacted when it was created, and the transaction fee are low but still must pay the minors. Still, I like bitcoin more than Paypal, because of fast transaction and very low fee (not 2.9%!)
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet on: January 28, 2013, 07:22:53 AM
My friend gave me 5BTC on a USB, and walked me through the process of installing wallet software and importing the wallet to the compter. If I delete everything associated with bitcoin on the computer and only keep the USB, does that count as a cold offline storage wallet? As far as I know, it is the only copy of the wallet in existance.

Also, if I drop the USB into a lake when fishing, is it lost forever, or can I have a backup using some passcode in a website or is there a customer help line or something?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Simple explanation of how to buy bitcoins and then spend them on silkroad on: January 28, 2013, 07:11:43 AM
Wow! I read up on the silk road trading marketplace, and I did not know that bitcoins could be used in such ways! Although I will not be using the service for myself, the knowledge that this exists has certainly made me more respectful of its value as a currency for citizens. What has my friend gotten me into? I'll know soon enough! Haha!

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do you use Bitcoin? on: January 28, 2013, 06:50:44 AM
I only discovered bitcoin a few days ago when my friend gave me 5BTC as a birthday present. I'm still learning how to use it; maybe someone can help me or point me to some links?

But so far I like it for the fast transactions and none of that 0.30+2.9% fees!
