401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 22, 2022, 02:13:53 PM
The Indian T20 side has advanced its rank following a 3-0 series sweep against West Indies. India is now ranked first in the ICC men's T20I rankings. In t20 format, the West Indies usually do better, so it was surprising to see them lost the series 3-0. Rohit Sharma's captaincy deserves special mention. T20 cricket is dominated by India, while Australia won a World Cup and ranked sixth.

West Indies team without Chris Gayle is not threatening anymore and that why we saw they lost the T20 series 3-0. Earlier they lost the one day series to them in a similar manner and they are unable to win a single match.

The competition between England and India for the number one spot is very close and we may see these two teams flipping the positions.

408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A painful loss on: February 18, 2022, 09:29:20 AM
I lost 430$ to a metaverse scam project yesterday, the project looks a lot like a professional job to me, everything was so detailed that you can't easily smell any rug pull, here is the project's website https://markmeta.finance/ but unfortunately it's a scam project, you can buy but you can't sell so here are what I find out

1. The price of this token kept surging and surging, there was no retrace or whatsoever which to me is a red flag, the whole chart was a straight line aiming for the moon.

2. Telegram channel was restricted, no one can make comments or send messages, another red flag that I don't get suspicious over

It's too late already but hope someone learn one or two lessons from this

That's the reason that i avoid investment in new metaverse projects. Why do we need to experiment and invest in new projects when we already have many good metaverse projects like Mama or Sand.
409  Economy / Economics / Re: Why many USA senator against bitcoin? on: February 18, 2022, 07:44:36 AM
Because they're old and they are still stuck in 60s where they're still young and they still don't feel any ache in their joints and that they came from a generation that think that they're the best generation and that they believe that we've peaked and they don't like new technology as they deem it blasphemous to their beliefs. I think that's the only reason for why the US senators heavily oppose bitcoin, other than being lobbied by banks.

I think it's not that simple. These old senators may be technologically not that advanced but they are not dumb either. They know how fed increase the money supply from thin air and manipulate the economy by controlling USD. If bitcoin took the place of USD then they will lose control because anyone can protect the bitcoin network by running a full node. They just don't want to hand over the control of the economy to people.

This is very much true and it is not only limited to the senators of the US but everyone in the government sector round the world hates and want to disallow Bitcoin usage across the country.
If bitcoin becomes the mainstream currency then these people will not be able to manipulate the money and they will not be able to make free money due to the paper money free printing.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 18, 2022, 07:03:31 AM
<>
As few other members already mention tension and other problems related to these countries, surely no one has doubt we will never watch bilateral series between these two countries in next few decades because no one want to solve issues even most of political parties trying to have some better number game with this tension. But good thing we can watch these countries only in ICC events which is also not bad at all as we read few days back all tickets sold out in few hours for match between India vs Pakistan in upcoming ICC twenty/20 World Cup which is going to hold in Australia. Other than this we have nothing special from these countries, specially in cricket because mostly politicians fees it is a better way to create hate between these countries peoples, so they are fueling this all.

With now IPL is next biggest event coming in few weeks hopefully things could be good as recently we have many cases with covid19 and many players are also having problem with this all.

The problem is that everyone knows there is a certain problem but no one seems to give the solution. And no solution is going to work if not the tension between the two countries reduces.

And as we know that the political leaders control almost everything about sport in a country, I don't think the situation is going to improve even in the next 10 years in my opinion. I actually think that both the teams have accepted the fact and moved on and I think that is something that we should also do as fans. The only time we are going to see India versus Pakistan is in the ICC events.

In order to cool down the situation, indian players should be allowed to play in PSL and pakistani players should be allowed to play in IPL. This will not only make both the tornaments more entertaining but at the same time it will create a friendly enviroment between the two teams and also among the public. Who knows due to this the tension between the two countires eases and they can have series with each other.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 06:39:26 AM
good news coming from ukraine. although not as a means of payment, but the recognition of cryptocurrencies to be traded will make clear legal force for the citizens of that country, because of course there will be clear legal protection and the obligations of citizens that have been regulated in the legislation.

This is indeed a good news and i expected some good price momentum in bitcoin after this news. However, we don't see impact of these good news on the bitcoin prices. I wonder what  could be the reason for this ?
Anyways, i thnk the race of legalization of bitcoin have started and evenutally every country will announce it sooner or later.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: there is no Play-to-Earn Game on: February 18, 2022, 06:01:50 AM
I have seen many friends of mine got hooked with NFT games.

They are now into the point of their lives that they will invest almost every nft games and plays it. I think they are aware of potential rug pull especially the new games.

They are happy with what they are doing as this opportunity has come.

With you start earning, you get addicted to them and want to gain more money. I will not invest in any new NFT games which are based on the smiliar model like axie. Seeing the popularity of the axie, many people will develop same games and later rug pull to scam people. Anyways there are also some free NFT games which requires no investment,
However, i must say that current axie prices are very attactive to invest in the game.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Overthink Potential of Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 05:35:23 AM
I think that people in general tend to overestimate and underestimate various events, phenomena, and so on. The fact is that a wide audience has no understanding of either how it works or what it is in principle today. I think only "professionals" can more objectively assess the existing configuration of the blockchain infrastructure operating in this network. Therefore, education is needed so that this problem does not exist in the future.

This is very simple logic. Those who like bitcoin overthinks the potential of bitcoin and those who do not like the bitcoin underestimate the potential of bitcoin. It is not about knowledge or education. People have thier own views and it is difficult to change everyone's point of view.
On my personal point of view, i believe that current prices of bitcoins are very much lower as bitcoin has a big potential and it may contiune to make new all time highs very soon.
414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto will rival or replace fiat in 10 years? on: February 18, 2022, 05:13:24 AM
Many people believe that cryptocurrency is the currency of the future, but governments' adamant opposition means that, in my opinion, even in a decade, crypto will be the same. Alternatively, some countries may decide to develop their own digital money, like China did, in order to better manage its citizens, unlike bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, which are difficult to trace. That might be their final option.
I think it is very unlikely that cryptocurrency will replace currency in the future. Although it is actually possible to happen to make it happen, it takes a long time. There are many challenges for a country that replaces cryptocurrency as the currency of the future.

Bitcoin may seems impossible to repalce fiat at this moment but in future this is very much possible. Bitcoin adoption is going fast and by 10 years it is very much possible that bitcoin will replace the fiat.
When everyone will start using bitcoin, the fiat currecnies will fade away automatically.
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weakens at US$ 42,145.35 The Impact of Russia's Conflict with Ukraine on: February 18, 2022, 04:28:34 AM
Just because two events happen at the same time, doesn't mean they are connected. It's especially true for BTC, lots of things happen in the world every day, you can't just take whatever is the most popular in the news and say that it causes BTC price change.

And how about a simple explanation - BTC dropped a bit because it had a big upside movement before that, so it was a time for correction after the rocket ran out of fuel.
It has become the normal thing with people. It’s not like the price wouldn’t drop if there wasn’t any conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but since this event has taken place a lot of people are now using it to say that it is the reason why the price of Bitcoin has dropped, while in the actual sense it doesn’t even have anything to do with that at all.

The market has been bearish and facing serious correction, and has gone down from its all time high price to as low as it did earlier this year, a lot of people didn’t see that and they couldn’t even figure out a reason why, but now they are saying that there is a conflict between two countries and they are trying to attach the little decrease that you have seen today to that.

I am still bullish on Bitcoin and won't take this as a bear market. Even if we see sharp decline in bitcoin prices in case the war happens , the dump will be sharp and recover quickly.
Think that if there is no war, the prices will recover fast.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 18, 2022, 02:33:16 AM
Would really be just common sense that you do need to know a certain game if you do consider out on making some sports bet rather than have no knowledge at all.
You are just trying to guess randomly without any basis which it is better to play dice rather than on wasting your money on a bet which you arent even sure off
it would really have some win.It is something not really enjoyable at all.
It only means that you are wasting your time betting randomly due to no knowledge about the sports. I would definitely agree that it's better to play dice game as it is 50/50 and don't need much thinking if which one to bet. I have tried betting on sports (racing) without knowing the background of the racer so most of my bets are not winning all the time and some did win because it's just because many people are betting on the racer but it doesn't mean I would win. Knowledge comes first as you have said rather than wasting money.

Also by placing two bets on the same match on each team will mean that you will confirm lose one of those bets. So in order to cover the loss you have to win the other bet with a profit margin of more than 2x (which is impossible in most cases). So technically placing two bets on a same match means you will lose your money.
417  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 18, 2022, 01:47:30 AM
I'll be honest, I have no idea what OP means by a side job or at what threshold said side job becomes the main job.  I've often heard talk of "side hustles" which are usually schemes or off-the-books work that doesn't get reported to the tax man.  If that's what OP is talking about, I'd say that if your side hustle is making you more money than your regular job, there's probably something illegal going on (like drug dealing, for instance).
A kind of work that does not take much time that someone is doing that is not his main job is what OP is referring to as side job, side job may not be the right words for it. Example are people going for work from 8am to 4pm but having another means of getting income like online works that will not take much of their time daily. Some people can realized that they are getting more income from the work that is not taking time than a job which requires daily bank hours.

So it means that you work 8 hours in the morning and then again you work for 4 -5 hours in the evening/night. Though you may get extra income and money but it does come at a cost of your comfort. You can't give time to your loved ones and maybe lose health because of less sleep. I would better find some passive investment opportunities rather than engage in working for 12-14 hours a day.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Bitcoin on: February 17, 2022, 05:01:37 PM
1 bitcoin for me is very big, and even when I collect fractions from the beginning of getting to know bitcoin, I don't think it's enough. 44k is a big number, and I think only rich people can afford it, and I think there is a need for diversification of assets, the most important of which is of course the safest ones, such as property.
Even though 1 bitcoin is huge, you should never give up on collecting it and maybe you can get 1 bitcoin in the future, even more. We can earn a lot of bitcoins in other ways and while this, we know it is through trading, some people have proven that they can make a lot of money trading. If you keep trying to collect them, you will see that you are actually capable as long as you never give up.

One bitcoin is around 45,000$ and this amount is a life time savings for many people living in underdeveloped countries. Almost half the population of the world would dream to get only 1 bitcoin and they can only wish they could have one bitcoin with them.
The more bitcoin we have, the better it is but i will be happy if i had only one bitcoin.  Smiley
419  Other / Meta / Re: Undo Button on: February 17, 2022, 04:36:04 PM
Use a 3rd party text editor like notepad or notepad++  if you want to compose a lengthy post especially if you have a mouse with two buttons on the side that could cause you to close the tab accidently.

Or use this instead - https://www.sceditor.com/

That's not about accidentally closing a tab and restoring the post through drafts or any third party editor. To make it more clear, let me give an example. Suppose i posted in a thread two days ago, now today while scrolling my past posts, i accidentally delete that post. Now there is no option that post can be un-delete and restored at the original location.

If you accidentally deleted your own post you can just go to this link https://loyce.club/archive/posts/ then put the msgID or topicID or userID choose any of that options and look for your deleted post then click the scraped you can copy it and post it again.

It will post as a new post at the end of the thread. It won't restore at its original location.
420  Other / Meta / Re: Sharing PM screenshots in forum posts, is it OK? on: February 17, 2022, 04:21:26 PM
I am not sure if this should belong to Meta or reputation board

My question is, is it OK to share screenshots of Personal Messages sent to you by a member if you are trying to prove a link between two alt accounts?
Doesn't it violate any forum rules that I may not know?

Personal messages should not be shared without the consent of the sender, that's why we call them personal messages, not meant for the public. However, in case you need to report a scam or to catch someone cheating on the forum, you should share those messages. At this point, it becomes the responsibility to share and help identify the scam, alt accounts or whatever.
