101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you dispose of a steel plate seed backup? on: March 30, 2024, 10:56:13 PM
Transfer all coins to an exchange before transferring it to your new wallet and then you can melt the metal if you have the tools for it.
I won't do this. I'd rather just destroy the entire steel plate and will do that in my room without someone knowing what I am doing. Although it sounds good but if it's your entire holdings that will be sent to the exchange before you proceed to the destruction of the steel plate, you may have hard time in withdrawing that soon when the exchange tries to ask you some additional requirements. So, melting, totally exerting some force until the metal gets into pieces and throwing it in garbages in several locations might do for me.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steelwallets and Airport Security - Potential Exposure Concerns on: March 30, 2024, 09:22:09 PM
I think your concern is valid because you'll never know if the staff that is checking the scanner are already in crypto and they've got an idea on what it is. Typically just 12-24 words that are engraved to that steelwallet will already be catchy to the personnel. I wouldn't bring that if I were you but if you want to still bring your seed, I'd write it down on a hard cardboard, notebook or anything that won't get noticed on that as if it's just notes that I am studying on. While the steel plate, I'd leave that in my house and so I've got both backups.

104  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freelancers to hire: Coinlancer.net. Anyone? on: March 29, 2024, 11:55:04 PM
If we were to assume that it is not a scam and for example, use escrow or other security measures to collaborate with them, do you think - as you know similar services - that the prices are acceptable? I noticed they have a case study, so they have probably completed some work: https://coinlancer.net/articles/case-study-franzi-gewuerzekammer
Never heard of that platform but if you're looking for someone that will work for you with some projects that you're working with, this forum is better than the unknown ones because you can have that guarantee with the help of the escrow or if you want to, you can hire those reputable ones that has history of working with specific projects without having the need of it. If you're still not convince then just go with the typical freelancing marketplaces like fiverr, upwork and the others but you'll have to pay them in fiat and not with crypto. I've seen platforms like laborx but I haven't signed up there and I just casually browse there if there are interesting job offers that pays good. So, as for the rate, check out the freelancing websites on how much typical is charged for that specific task that you'll ask to be done.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman Fried (scam banker fraud) 25 years on: March 29, 2024, 10:54:45 PM
his parents have friends so he got a lighter sentence. and from what i heard he used the autism excuse, i don't know if it worked but maybe this is the result.
Going with that victim card, he and his gang seem to have an idea on how to at least lessen it and getaway with it. But even though, they're not able to get out of it completely and a lot of years have been given to them and we can see that justice is moving for the victims.

i still think the guy was used by Gensler. he isn't the real head of the criminal, Gensler knew him from the beginning. Sam doesn't look like he could plan it all but because he is the CEO, i guess the blame is on him.
When SBF was still on the position, he used to give donations to political parties to influence them and it seem to worked that early for him. But this time, as the sentence is served to him, they can no longer used that influence and he's going to serve jail time.

107  Economy / Speculation / Re: My instincts on the value of bitcoin from now to halving on: March 29, 2024, 03:22:17 PM
It doesn't really matter if it's going to be the last up before the halving. The market has been moving from time to time and this halving has got a deadline for this upcoming month of April. So what's next? That's the question probably on your mind and halving isn't the last day of Bitcoin and it will continue to go on no matter what happens. What matters is the long term effect of the halving and not before it happens. That's why there is no need to stress yourself out if you're also waiting for the halving, so take your time and relax and let Bitcoin do itself and move on its own course.
Right. Bitcoin will definitely move following its own path, and so we don’t have to stress ourselves thinking if it will continue to move forward or not. After all, what we are actually after is to experience bull run at its best advantage so we can maximize our selling profits. So just enjoy the current flow of bitcoin.

While bitcoin halving could bring some positive effects for bitcoin, but the end goal is still to witness finally the bitcoin bull run, and definitely enjoy the profits that we only come to experience once there is bull run.
If you are for the long term, there's no need to put some worries on your mind on how much it is going to be at the end of April. Because that's really not going to conclude the bull run as it is going to be composed of several months. Yes, just enjoy the flow of the market and the upcoming month because it's the month of halving and with that, there will be more motion that we'd likely to see and also prepare your hearts because at this rate we'll see a lot of impacting news whether they'll be positive or not. We're starting seeing a bunch of them while having our hearts looking forward to just some positive outlook for this halving but as we know, these institutions can be much impactful through making rounds of FUD for everyone to sell cheaply as their response for those panicking hands.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 Bitcoin Buy and Hold 👑 on: March 29, 2024, 01:55:50 PM
I can't understand, 5 months ago you've posted and then you're saying that you've been into Bitcoin for 5 years? And with all the words, you keep on saying about "addicted". You probably are a heavy gambler and you're now transitioning into Bitcoin investing which is better on your situation. Well, I commend you if you've gained from investing in Bitcoin because not many gets into it and they try to look only at it as short term. If you're trying to trade Bitcoin, be careful because it's better to accumulate and hold than to trade.

Hey hey guys,
Just to close. I am an official representative of HeyLink.me.
We are constantly improve our security measures. So this link was deactivated. Counter-measures were put in place to flag such links moving forward.
Apologies if you received initially an automated email. We are a small team and need to use automated methods in some cases.
Nice, that was an action that's admirable from you guys. It doesn't matter whether you're a small team but your response to issues like this is really concerning and your action towards deactivating it was even greater. I hope that you make some automatic filtering of links or projects that will use your platform into their sketchy services and scam/hacking attempts to the innocent users out there.

p.s.
We also a true supporter of Bitcoin. You can add your Bitcoin public wallet address on HeyLink.me, making it easier to receive funds via your main HeyLink.me page.
We also have a theme in Bitcoin colours.
That's great to know and that means that we're circulating on just the same sphere and ecosystem.  Cheesy
110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you still holding on: March 28, 2024, 10:47:14 PM
I am still holding and my Bitcoins are kept on a HW but I will change it soon once things in real life have gotten less busy. Currently, I am using a lot from the list and they're good. Samourai, Blockstream green, electrum and I've used sometime ago Bluewallet. And while I am keeping and holding, I've got my target price and everyone has got their target prices as well. We have to hold but this is a good reminder when someone isn't yet transferring his Bitcoins from custodial wallets like in the exchanges because when they want to send or sell those bitcoins, the exchange could just take a maintenance and all plans of theirs will become delayed. That's one reason why you shouldn't keep it there and at the same time it's not recommended at all and we're all being taught and reminded to use wallets that we're holding our private keys.
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin on: March 28, 2024, 09:41:32 PM
They should remove that thinking because reaching to that point will also depend on what kind of effort they do and also the amount of capital they start with. What I am disappointed with most of the newbies is that they always complain about being too late in buying BTC and that's why they choose memecoins and other altcoins instead. That's the disadvantage they always point out but if they're serious with it, they will buy it without any complain and I agree that it should be for the long term. They won't feel the essence of holding Bitcoin in the short term when they have bought it also at the peak. But if they will plan out their purchases and DCA, they'd see the huge difference of it that they'd be happy that it is their choice instead of altcoins.
112  Economy / Speculation / Re: My instincts on the value of bitcoin from now to halving on: March 28, 2024, 12:32:10 PM
I don't mean to predict the market cap price but my conscience whispers to me that the current rise up again or bitcoin would be the last rise before halving.
As at the time of making this thread,  the price was $70K + which we're aware that it formally broke its ATH even when itsy not yet at the bull run before it depreciated again but my instincts is whispering me that this current up rise again would be the last rise before halving.

Do you have some psychological intake or some personal opinion in related to my emotion?
It doesn't really matter if it's going to be the last up before the halving. The market has been moving from time to time and this halving has got a deadline for this upcoming month of April. So what's next? That's the question probably on your mind and halving isn't the last day of Bitcoin and it will continue to go on no matter what happens. 113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your next step if you experience a Great BEAR MARKET ? on: March 27, 2024, 11:02:26 PM
Currently Bitcoin is expected to have a bull run and halving in coming time as we all know it.

Now if you were to make an investment of $100 as a beginner regardless of your country and as it stands Bitcoin is experiencing a bear market (an example) after you made 5% capital.

Initially you want to hold for a very long time but as a result of the bear market you loose your capital and half your investment yet the market is showing no sign for you to recover.
What's your next step as a first timer in Bitcoin /Altcoin trading?
I'd listen to the experience ones and you know what typically they're saying about such bear markets? It is not there to stay forever and the market will eventually get up and recover and that's why all you have to do is calm your heart and mind and it will recover soon. But if the altcoins you're holding aren't that important in the market, they're unlikely to recover so it varies with what you hold. There is no doubt and question with Bitcoin and that's why we always keep moving forward and takes the moment to accumulate more when we're in a bear market. Luckily, I've been through with it and that taught me lessons that I am bringing with me and that's why I am not to worried at all even if we get a sudden correction or we go straight to a bear this time.
114  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FREEBITCO.IN SCAM, DEPOSIT NOT CREDITED on: March 27, 2024, 09:14:16 PM
Any news?
Absolutely nothing. Not a single response from the site handlers/owners.
I was informed in the FBC thread that TheQuin (correspondent) has not replied for nearly 2 months
I've seen that their signature campaign has also ended because he didn't topped up the wallet and didn't responded. Maybe there's something going on with him personally and that's outside of the casino. But with concerns like this, this should have been addressed long time ago, and with his absence, there should be someone to take over his duty to resolve all of these concerns of their customers when they've taken a lot of time to wait for any response.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Staking Platforms - Best APY on: March 27, 2024, 07:51:14 PM
try those wallets that have integrated staking feature which they still give you your seeds but don't do it inside the exchanges just as what I've tried. The DeFis or dexes have this feature and will give you tremendous APY, I suggest to avoid them knowing how they've always been targeted by attackers.
There is no wallet that does this unless the cryptocurrency supports POS, meaning you will not find a wallet that gives you staking reward for bitcoin because there is no way to do that except by giving your currencies to a third party.
I think that most platforms are misleading when they've got Bitcoin that someone can "stake" on it. The term is wrong as you've said, Bitcoin isn't a POS and it can't be staked but they should use like interest accounts. But you're right, I haven't seen a wallet that allows that or probably I did but it's from centralized platforms that will give you like 2%-5% APY although that sounds plausible for that rate but knowing that you won't hold your keys, it's a no.

Staking POS is considered safe, but its return is low. Some people mortgage their accounts in liquidity pools to obtain more profits, but these pools are centralized.
And they're prone to attacks or hacking.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Off Economic phenomenon. on: March 27, 2024, 06:21:53 PM
Currently, most of the countries are into high inflation and the first world countries are dealing with recession. That's why the decrease in value of your fiat is there if your country is dependent on the value of USD or importing a lot. There's no way to stop inflation but it can be lessened and decreased yearly depending on many factors like as I've said, if your country has always been importing, it's hard to deal with it. But those countries that have food security and not reliant to the oil of other countries, then that means that they're making their own supply and economies for which they can't be affected by the rising factors of importation.
117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum deposit on: March 27, 2024, 07:18:41 AM
I have experienced this but not with remitano but with various instant exchanges. They have a dynamic minimum deposit and that's why as OP said, it's very important to check on the minimum deposit because it changes from time to time especially when the price of Bitcoin decreases.  That is why when you've sent an amount and the minimum deposit has changed and you're short with that, you have to deposit again to that given address for it to proceed the transaction. It is truly hassle but they should put some big banner that will make their users aware of these real time changes.
118  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] heylink.me complicit in crypto drainer scam on: March 26, 2024, 11:47:41 PM
LOL, that #2 requirement certainly wants them to get paid for "faster" transaction. You know that it's kind of a privilege from these platforms and they will certainly encourage people to get faster response from them. But as for them hosting a crypto drainer scammer, they've mentioned it on #3 that they can get investigated but how long does an investigation process? I'd agree that when it comes to these services, they should filter them all. But what can we hope for the likes of these services if Google itself is also swarmed by these crypto drainers, phishing scammers and we have to report them individually just for them to remove them from their search engine.
The least we can expect is that if someone is an administrator to an open ended service they'd take some measures to at least respond to reports.
In this instance they were alerted and obviously acknowledged the issue as it's obvious that they have responded.
This is true, I think that if they've received reports already, they have to take action. But with this, this kind of not alarming to them but soon if there will be lots of reports then I guess that's just the time they'd react.

Expectations of them were set extremely low. In fact for how many people use such services, I have to admit that it's the first time I hear of this particular one. So it might not be that surprising if it's in affiliation with the scamers themselves.
It's also possible but I don't want to assume that they've got connection to them because if they're a service and they're just accepting clients or tenants that will use them, they're just for the money and not for the welfare of the people.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shohei Ohtani Gambling Saga on: March 26, 2024, 10:22:26 PM
I was just curious about if anyone of you guys have been following this Shohei Ohtani gambling saga/controversy going on right now?  This is a HUGE deal in the world of sports, and of course specifically in Major League Baseball.  If you aren't familiar with who Shohei Ohtani is, he's a Japanese born MEGA star in major league baseball.  He's both a pitcher and someone who hits, which in the world of baseball is VERY rare.  No since the legendary Babe Ruth have we've seen such a player who's so great at doing both.  He's become the face of baseball which is what makes all of this all the more crazy.

I wanted to get everyone's thoughts.
I haven't followed it until I saw the news that he's released a statement telling that he's in no way addicted to gambling. Yeah, it was his interpreter that's stealing his money but we all know how these cover ups happen when the main athlete or character has been accused or proven to do something that's against to the will of their fans. Maybe, it was a real thing that he's into gambling and having this much money secured for 10 years, you'd surely just retire after your contract and can do that much with this kind of money. This scandal is big because of the contract that he's got and it's on a different level from the celebrities being reported having sums of debts in Vegas. I hope that he won't be drowning himself into fame and money and will be wise on how he's going to retain his popularity as with simple or one mistake, his career might drop dead.
120  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: March 26, 2024, 09:15:57 PM
For now I think there is nothing you can actually do than to just wait because you were the one who made the silly mistake so he wil have to wait patiently but one thing is certain and that's a response in due time. Personally I have read and even seen most of this cases and alot of them were resolved and I think yours too can but still depends on the casino and how fast they can answer the problem. Atleast this would serve as a serious lesson for you to take correction from and be more extra careful to avoid such stupid mistakes .
Yeah, can't do that much with his case but to wait and while waiting for that update. It seems that we've got a lot of contest.
