121  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 cold wallets for my crypto assets on: April 07, 2024, 07:31:22 AM
I would suggest you to use 2 wallet

1. Cold wallet to keep all your money and not connected to the internet unless you send it and use this wallet for HODL only and use hardware wallet
2. Hot wallet to use everyday and connected to internet you can use it for play with Defi like pancake or uniswap or anything like that
This is what I do but I hope that OP wont be using the ledger recover feature.

It is best to have that cold storage or wallet that you will store your funds and you will not connect it to the internet but just once in a while.

And stick only to the known ones, many haven't heard of this tangem thing.
122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: getting past break even on: April 07, 2024, 06:39:28 AM
Well, as everyone do not understand you just as me. But if I am going through, what I am understanding is about you literally what the title says.

So, if your strategy dont work at all then retest. Upon doing some retest and backtesting, you will have new results but it might be losses or past your break even.

If you keep on break even, honestly, that is better than losing more.
123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk associated with Prop firms on: April 07, 2024, 04:27:49 AM
Why someone has to get into prop firms to trade when you can trade on your own? that is because they are scared of their own ways of trading.

They prolly do not know that they can trade on their own without having to worry that your funds is in the hands of other people.

No need to pay commissions just by someone managing your finances when you can do it on your own.

I am not against with for starters but when you have learned, you need to work and trade on your own.

I regret to inform you that Douglas last night decided to say goodbye to this world, I don't know how this works, he never showed me any sadness, I regret in my soul that I didn't see it coming.
My condolences to those who knew him, I do not have access to his networks to notify anyone, only this and an email that is not associated with anything else.
I'm taking care of the preparations.
admins can now close this account.
I hope that you're joking.

This is the kind of joke that I'd never want to hear. Doug, if you're out there this is not a good joke. I've just said to you that you'll be in a nice place but not on this kind of place.

The place or state that you'll able to overcome your problems.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a best way of taking advantage of BTC dips when away? on: April 06, 2024, 10:21:55 PM
What you are suggesting to the OP is called a "buy limit" and you can place a buy order at the price you predict bitcoin will reach. But the problem here is that OP doesn't want to use centralized exchanges and unfortunately only centralized exchanges provide this feature. As far as I know, no decentralized exchange offers this feature.

But what I also wonder is using Bot means we need to have USDT in our wallet and OP said he hates centralization but meanwhile USDT is also a centralized altcoin. So what the OP asked for is very difficult to meet.
If he don't want to use centralized exchanges then it's hard for him to do it so. He has to spend for some bots out there since I don't use them as it's with extra pay, it's better to do that buy limit.

Bitcoin have broad path and having good entries will definitely take time, we should thoroughly require good positioning in the market. Our initial capital will bring losses and profits, it's all originates from the partial strategies generated. We have bots that are capable and positioned to trigger our orders without having any significant differences. You're absolutely right, exchanges and brokers have buying and selling orders, it's one of the good features and have enabled most traders to have solid ground in the market.
But it's said that he don't want to use it so either use it or not and find other methods that he's able to buy while not being active with his trading accounts.

Well, he should choose what might for him as we're just all suggesting the possible methods.
126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is forex trading a hobby or a skill on: April 06, 2024, 09:59:27 PM
Trading in all various of markets is a skill. Not everyone knows how to trade and that's why if you've been blessed and experienced with this kind of skillset then you might be set for life if you do well on it.
Agree. Trading in Forex or crypto is about skills. It is totally not a hobby. If we have no knowledge and skills, we have no chance to succeed in Forex or crypto trading. It is clear that only certain people who can trade in Forex or crypto. Even we have learned it, sometimes it is not suitable for us. So, it is very related to skills. If it is only a hobby, it should be done by everyone. Hobby is related to every activity that common people probably can do it. But in trading Forex, it is not for common people, it is for people who have trading skills only.
A skill that can become a hobby or vice versa. As long as you're applying some knowledge on it and it takes time for one to learn, that's certainly a skill.

For these traders, they call it a hobby that they're able to learn. So whatever your description is with this, as long as you're doing good with it, that's the best hobby and skill to have.
127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is forex trading a hobby or a skill on: April 06, 2024, 09:20:14 PM
Trading in all various of markets is a skill. Not everyone knows how to trade and that's why if you've been blessed and experienced with this kind of skillset then you might be set for life if you do well on it.

But before being skilled on this niche, you have to go through a lot of bad experiences but not all can endure all the pain of the market and that's why you need to enhance it continuously or at least maintain it if you can.

It's not just all about being skilled but also being aware of the world economy since it cover global markets and situations too.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a best way of taking advantage of BTC dips when away? on: April 06, 2024, 09:17:17 AM
Call me an idiot, I don't care but I believe that this question deserves some answer.

I have been hearing about the importance of buying Bitcoin at the dip and something good strikes my heart.

What if I can't be available when Bitcoin is dumping? What if I am away because in reality I am always busy, you can tell how epileptic my activeness on this forum have become.

Is there anyway to buy Bitcoin dips when I am not available? So this come to my mind straight away.

A bitcoin buy the dip bot, that can trigger a certain price when I am away, is this possible?

Don't tell me to use a centralized exchange, been not active in crypto space means that a centralized exchange can collapse before you come back, I want something in my control.

If you have a better option, don't hesitate to share.
Exchanges have buying orders and you are free to set the price of how much you want to buy and once the actual market price goes down, then for sure that your low price will be hit once it passes there or gets close to it.

You don't need a bot for that because that feature is in most exchanges. That's why that money you'll use in buying bot can be just added to your capital.
129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Martingale strategy With Stop Loss on: April 06, 2024, 08:47:44 AM
If that what works for you, good.

But it's not going to be applicable with everyone. While it's a good addition to those that don't know how to stop loss but as soon as you're able to get your own strategy that works for you, fine.

As bitmax said, if it's still possible for you to do some backtest, much better.
130  Other / Off-topic / Re: In school they taught us everything except how to make money why on: April 06, 2024, 08:14:14 AM
I disagree.

When I was in primary school, we've got subjects about livelihood like weaving, cookery/baking and other of those normal survival and life skills that can be used for entrepreneurship.

And I guess many have done this that they've sold their spare candies, papers, pencils, crayons and other stuff to their classmates.
Lol I took up electronics in Highschool and that Survival basic , they are teaching us how to do things that can generate us income if we know how to use it as material in life,
there people who try to mislead people about making quotation that will be interesting for those who are not contented in life , they are looking for anything that they can throw trash but will gain attention from people like them .
You know right!

I don't understand when they've been relying to the words of these people. While I admire Robert as we're also both investor of Bitcoin but in comes to their words.

No everything they say are for real and their experience varies from the real world experiences of others. This is what's wrong nowadays, when you're rich, got a lot of money, then every word you say might be considered wisdom by your listeners.

132  Economy / Economics / Re: INFLATION, A MOTIVATION TO INVEST IN CRYPTOFASHIONS on: April 05, 2024, 11:52:36 PM
Quote
Crypto is now the second most popular asset class after stocks for retail investors, with 34% of retail investors owning crypto and making it an asset class dominated solely by retailers. It is easily the best-performing asset of 2024 so far, driven by a fundamental contraction in supply and demand, with strong demand for new Bitcoin spot ETFs, and with just under 30 days left until the halving.
For me it is a strategic decision, because in any case it is expected that at some point what will dominate is this type of asset and the one that will improve the quality of life of many.
Bitcoin is one of the best performing asset and that's why it is ideal for everyone to invest and get into crypto. But when people talk about the term 'crypto', they're suggesting a lot of crypto and goes into memecoins because they're convinced that the gain is higher than of Bitcoin.

But the hype can be gone on an instant and you don't know how long you're going to see that upon buying those suggested meme coins

As for Bitcoin, you get the safe way of investing on this very volatile market and you get the top and most loved cryptocurrency and you're for long term and stability.
133  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling kills the fun in these two cases on: April 05, 2024, 11:24:57 PM
I am entertaining myself with various ways and not just with gambling but also by playing games that I like to during my free time.

You'll hear a lot that people should only gamble when they're only in it to have fun but then, you'd see gamblers that they're in it to do it for profit and do whatever they can in their capacity to get some profits on it.

But I don't understand how it is killing the fun when you think of the profit when it's actually fun when you're making some of it.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 05, 2024, 10:51:41 PM
I changed the poll, have you voted yet? Who's your favorite coach this season?
My preference, like everyone else who has voted so far, is Mark Daigneault, without whom Thunder wouldn't have achieved these results. He used the roster very well. SGA may not win the MVP award, but he proved that he is one of the best 3-4 players in the league. I think he's still very underrated.
I want to vote for Doc but he's not on the poll. But if it's on the one included on the poll, I'd still give props to Michael Malone.

He's very underrated and bringing the Nuggets to the finals and getting that chip last season is history. This time, they might get a back to back so I'd vote for him.

Many likes Mark but there goes my one vote for Malone.  Smiley
I'm torn between Mark Daigneault and Michael Malone but I gotta go with Malone too. I admire a lot what he has been doing with the Nuggets. Even though I am personally not rooting for them, they are a great team for a long time. I like how Malone handling the team and the style of play they have. With that rooster, he is getting the maximum. And with a superstar like Jokic, he manages the team accordingly. If they manage to win the championship again, they will be modern legends and Malone has quite an important part of it.
You forgot to vote him on the poll. There's already 9 votes for Mark so do it with Malone so we give him 2 votes.  Tongue

I can still see that he's got one vote and that vote was from me. What we like with Nuggets is that it is not a superstar team but Malone managed to maximize him to get their first chip and now, they're still consistent.

You will in a nicer place bud. I know that this problem that you're dealing with now is not going to last forever. You'll find your new happiness and I know that you'll be able to move on.

I want to leave this in writing here, so that when I achieve my goals I can be an example of improvement, there is no evil that lasts forever and when we want we can move forward no matter what happens.

Happy day to everyone.
Please do, I am waiting for your happy moments and achievements that you'll be proud to say here when you're back.

For now I am in a constant fight for my mental health, honestly it is difficult to concentrate, I do not spend a second that I do not think about the reason for things, and the little I sleep is interrupted by nightmares about it, I have mistakenly tried to recover my family and I have been ignored, if this happens to someone, don't make my mistake, if someone doesn't love you, they won't change their mind, this will happen and it will make me stronger.
My goals are my reason to show the world that it is possible.
Cheer up and keep on fighting for your mental health. I know that it is not the easiest battle that you can ever fight and you are on your own. But think of yourself having a better future as God's plan something better for you. I don't know if you believe on Him or not.

Just think of it that everything happens for a reason. To think of what you are going through is normal as it's still fresh but that wound in your heart and mind that has left by that incident will be healed eventually.

Thanks for your words of encouragement.
You're welcome buddy, don't forget that you need to do something as well to yourself and if there is/are inside or outdoor activities that you can do, maybe it can help.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 05, 2024, 06:30:14 PM
Looking at the bracketing, they should have make both sea teams on different group but then they're both on group B.
Both of them landing in Group B is probably for the better because Group A is like the group of death with Team Falcons, Team Spirit, Heroic, and Azure Ray.

This is probably the farthest they can go IMO, and i'll be surprised if one of them advances to the playoffs. If they can get help from Team Liquid like what happened in DreamLeague maybe there's a possibility.
Well, not everything is going to be favorable for most of the regions and this will still end up with the strongest team and will beat everyone against all odds.

I consider any team now as a strong one and a contender and just as what we're seeing right now. Some unexpected teams were beaten and out already and some are rising.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: April 05, 2024, 05:58:29 PM
I so far agree that bitcoin will get more expensive over time, but I have to ignore short-term volatility and set targets in the long term. Of course $100k is on the way, but we never know how quickly $100k can be reached after the halving.
It will take time until we see that $100k. Many speculates that it can be reached this year but we don't know if it will and everything is possible to go up and down.

I agree that if it is with the short term, then don't expect a lot of move from Bitcoin. We'll get there to $100k soon and it's going to take some time and whoever waits and the patient ones will witness it.

And by that time, everyone is free to take their own decision whether to profit or not.
138  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your gambling experiences shared here could serve as lessons to others on: April 05, 2024, 05:25:42 PM
The never ending tip that you should only gamble with an amount that you afford to lose. Sound simple, right?

But if you will put those words in your heart, you'd definitely going to hear what your mind want to speak to you.

When you can't stop yourself gambling with a lot of money from your salary or business, go back to the start and chew that tip that you should only gamble with the money that's good as an excess of yours.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: April 05, 2024, 04:48:05 PM
Going back with Dota 2, I've watched the Blacklist versus Virtus Pro match. That one very moment on the mid side. On the first map, that pango of Abed and Luna of Palos.

After Palos' luna died with an aegis, he's about to be dead as well but Abed transferred the cheese on him and then the rest is history.

What a play by Abed.
It's good to see them beat VP in a 2-0 sweep and they're slightly improving. We'll see if they have what it takes to catch up with the tougher teams now that the weaker ones are eliminated.
But then, they've been beaten by Aurora 2-0 too.

Also, that Swiss stage was great, I hope other tournaments can adapt the format in the future as it was more fun to watch than these upcoming bo2 formats knowing that most of these series would be 1-1s.
It looks cool honestly and that's really an ideal for giving to the fans and making it more competitive of whoever is going to last with such durability in the long run with this kind of set up.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has BTC really become more attractive than gold? on: April 05, 2024, 04:19:13 PM
I invest in both Bitcoin and gold. I believe it's not wise to put all the eggs in one basket.
You're right and that's good that you've diversified both in good assets. I've seen just today that gold is pumping as well but if we're going to compare its gain to Bitcoin, we know that it's incomparable.

And with the existence that gold has, Bitcoin is still far from it. So both of them have their goodness to each other.

If you're the type of investor that can do both, you're privileged to do it.
