81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto or Real estate on: April 09, 2024, 12:50:05 PM
That's the main point.
It's up to the investor what will be his choice. The reason is there are types of investors who are good at Bitcoin investment, they can easily understand, and so on. Some are good in other investments such as real estate, while some are good in both. It depends on the personal choice and where they feel more comfortable with their investment.
And if you're good in both then you're blessed because you're better than the others but it doesn't mean that they're not good. As you've said, everyone has their own strength and if you're good in holding and investing in Bitcoin then that's a great strength that you have because many are still skeptic about Bitcoin and not willing to invest any penny on it. But you, you're able to invest and take risk while everyone is doubtful. And I believe that when you invested on Bitcoin, this opens a lot of opportunities and your skill in taking risk is increasing. Why? It's because the nature of bitcoin as a highly volatile asset gives us that emotional breakdown but that breakdown is helping us to improve and that's why I am seeing it as a positive thing.

Before, I was too weak and my heart was like the others when I can't take the sudden dump of Bitcoin's price. But gradually, I was able to adopt that and any type of sudden crash nowadays is no longer alarming to me. So, apart from being an investor, your vote of confidence to the investments that you're choosing and holding becomes better. While in real estate, it's a stable asset and it's truly different from the nature of Bitcoin or any crypto that you want to hold. And if you're fortunate enough to have both of it, take that opportunity because not everyone can have both of them.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 08, 2024, 12:42:35 PM
1. At what age will you allow your child to start gambling? that is if you will even allow for that at all?
2. At what age do you see yourself quit gambling? that is also if some of us are going to ever do so?
3. Ever since you have started gambling, have you ever achieve a satisfying level that makes you think it has good impact on you?
4. Would you have missed out on anything if you were not a gambler?
1. Probably never. Yes, I am gambler but I don't want my child to gamble. Regardless of how the life will be in the next decade or so, I'd always decline if I am asked for a permission.
2. I don't know. Maybe when I don't feel gambling anymore. I can't hold the future and I have no idea on what's coming in it. Maybe I might like it for the next years but people change, right? That's why I have no idea when and at what age I'll be.
3. Yes. When I am on the rainy days and I need some money on it and fortunately have won some bets, then that's one of the satisfying moments that I've ever been with gambling. But it doesn't come always so, I'm thankful that it was just a fortunate moment of my life.
4. Not sure with that, it's all about "might", "maybe" answer.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dana thought he lost $80k one night and his advice for gamblers on: April 08, 2024, 11:59:02 AM
From being $80k and telling it was "just" already means a lot for someone like me but I can speak for the majority of us that it certainly is a lot of money and there's the behind the scene with it. That also shows on how rich Dana that can lose $3M on just one particular night. I can't even attain to lose thousand of bucks or even hundred but with him, it seems that it's just nothing but well, this is how the rich plays. Money is truly a tool to them that they can use to have fun. While he's on a better state of giving advise to the other gamblers because he won't lose his entire money on it. It makes sense to give the reminder to everyone that no matter how much money you have, make sure that it seems nothing to you when you lose or else you're going to regret and will have to work your ass hard off with it until you recover it. We're far from Dana but we can have that mindset that how much we lose in gambling can be literally nothing or even more that we afford to lose. From the basic and simple tips that we're saying to the other gamblers of losing what they can afford to lose is the whole point of it.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 08, 2024, 10:45:40 AM
What I don't understand is why it's on Netflix this time.
To make it more exclusive and it's the living legend Mike Tyson that's going to box with Jake Paul. As long as it can be done with this deal, Netflix would have take the deal as long as there's money on it. More subscribers and people will just sign up when they're not yet on netflix and this is just the same as the pay per view that we mostly see from the boxing matches of our favorite boxers.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but since when has Netflix been interested in such events?
I have no idea but as long there's a potential profit for them, they're going to sign deal with whomever who's going to negotiate with them just to be on their streaming platform. Soon, other boxers that have a lot of hype might just do this and who knows if the sports that can be watched on free TV will also be streamed there, at the end of the day it's just all about money.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 08, 2024, 09:46:58 AM
We will see the coexistence of both. While the digital upgrade is there but it won't stop the existence of the land or physical casinos because traditional never gets old or it does but gamblers will still find a way to experience the oldies but goodies way of gambling. Just think of it that even there have been a lot of online casinos out there, you, your family or even your gambling friends might just choose to stay at home but not to gamble online but to find a way for each of you to enjoy gambling altogether. You're seeing the difference why it's fun to stay with your friends and sometimes that's where it starts that one of your family will ask to go and pay some visit to the physical casinos.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lately I've been thinking about this a lot. on: April 08, 2024, 01:33:41 AM
So I happened to watch a UFC related movie yesterday and the main character is a very strong one who never loses a fight but during a fight he decided to lose the fight, I found out that he did it intentionally because his uncle and his uncle's friend bet a lot on the biggest odd, which is the other fighter.

He lost the fight and he still made a lot of money from his uncle and his uncle's friend, how brilliant? Since they use a large amount and also on the biggest odd, but I think about the other gamblers who chose to bet on him because there was assurance that he would win the fight.

Now I started to think about the real life UFC, maybe this is even happening underground and we don't know? Jake and Mike Tyson's upcoming fight for example is gearing up, many believe that Mike will win, but maybe something like this will happen?

Many gamblers are placing bets on this fighter since its more reliable than you against the casino games, this is all about agility and skills, but the possibility of intent loss to make more money is also possible in this game, what's your take on this?
For the actual UFC? I doubt that this is happening, maybe it does but very rare. Because those UFC fighters have their career on stake and if they're willing to do that kind of match fixing then they must be prepared to lose their career on an instant. They're professionals and I am not sure if they've got sworn and oath before going on to become a professional fighter. But this isn't just happening in the UFC because of the movie you've watched but even in some other sports including the common esports nowadays, there are match fixing. It's just sad that because of gambling that big money is going on with these matches and they affect the competitiveness and seriousness of these matches and fights.

If they're proving how good they are with their skills, win or lose that won't be taken from them. The legacy that they will leave is important to them and that's why I think that most of them or if there any one that has done or will do it have already accepted their fate. But AFAIK, most of these athletes or fighters before signing their contracts, they've got conditions that they shouldn't do any gamble to the first, second or how many degree they have in their family. You know what I like with contact sports to be specific is that it's uniqueness of having the twist of the result with just having a single blow from the losing fighter to the winning fighter that can turn the table on the losing fighter's favor.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: April 07, 2024, 11:38:21 PM
Just started watching Elite League and noticed Team Falcons vs Heroic was a BO2 because it is round robin stage, so of course it ended 1-1.
All of the matches on this round robin stage are all best of 2 and this is a crucial stage to be honest because it's hard to get a 2-0 and with many teams having tied up with 1-1 score, I won't be surprised if by the end of this stage there will be a lot of tie breakers.

They just started the match for the Team Spirit versus a team I had not heard of before G2.iG
It's actually Invictus Gaming(IG), they're a former TI winner that has won it on 2012. Whilst G2 is a known organization in CS2 if I'm not mistaken, they're sponsoring now for IG and they're doing good at this moment because they're ranked #1 for this Elite league for this round robin stage but it's not yet done as there are still three days left. By the way, this is the recap for the third day of this RR.

88  Economy / Gambling / Re: CryptoFreebie.io - For The Players on: April 07, 2024, 10:34:13 PM
Technically, this is an affiliate website that gives their users a lot of choices on which casinos they should gamble. And at the same time, you're giving back to the affiliates that will sign under you so that you can maintain them to be active just as what you wanted to give more commissions to you. It's actually a good strategy and brilliant idea on how to retain your members to be active at most times, that 80% for the entirety of what you'll receive from their commission is generous.

But I wonder if you've got active participants or affiliates already since you've posted this thread here 2 months ago.
Because keeping your affiliates/referrals active with this kind of strategy you do is one of the hardest thing to do and that's why you're doing lots of way for them to keep active.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 07, 2024, 09:37:58 PM
In your case, how do you approach when you are on losing streak so badly on specific game. Does changing game works for you?
Kinda works for me and that's I believe trying to shoo the bad luck that's in me. We've got a lot of beliefs that makes us think that bad luck or losing streak can be gone by doing something else. With this, it's very common for a gambler to revert his attention to another activity aside from gambling when we're on a losing streak. It's a common misconception that our bad luck comes from ourselves and we need to do something for it to be gone. Yes, it's a common misconception because there's really no basis on it but it is working for many of us and if that's what we feel then so be it and just do your thing on how you remove that losing streak and much worse when we describe it as a curse.

Depends on the game though. Blackjack and Poker, if you don't really know how to play the game can lower your chances of winning. Either way I'd still just stop no matter what game since a lose streak is a lose streak.
I wouldn't play a game that I don't know and won't be a heavy bettor on it. But if I am starting out and trying to know it, it's expected that you have small chance of winning on those games but on the case of OP. I don't think that he doesn't know how to play those, he's one of the most active gamblers that I've seen and that's definitely not him that doesn't know what he does and what he gambles. In all sense, it's true that just don't gamble the games that you don't know if you don't want to lose that much.
90  Other / Off-topic / Re: How you can benefits from your loss ? on: April 07, 2024, 08:54:07 PM
None of us sees losing as a normal thing, even in the simplest things.
Nope, actually most of us see that losing is a normal thing when you gamble and it's the same with investing. When you put some bets that you're willing to take, then it clearly means that you're willing to take the risk and risk comes with a potential win or lose. But in most cases, we see that losing is normal to each and everyone of us as we know gambling is like this. That's why if you're saying that losing is not seen by most of us as a normal thing then you're probably not gambling at all or don't take risks at all.

The majority have the mentality of a winning , and this is normal because this is human instinct, and losing always negatively affects how the gambler thinks and the ability to analyze the situation, and it has the ability to destroy all positive ideas and make the gambler frustrated.
I agree that this is the majority of us. Despite that losing is also normal, the mentality that we have about winning is normal as well. Nobody wants to lose but it's just that the expectation of many of us is already on that point that we can actually lose when we gamble and that's the acceptance that we're having as we gamble. Normally, when a gambler wins then that adds confidence to him and he wants to gamble for more to see that satisfaction that he's looking at as he gambles but then, when losing has come. You'd see this winning gambler will start to just look frown but accepted that it's a normal thing to lose.

As gambler How do you deal with loss?
There is no need to deal with it. Acceptance is what you must do in all of the results that you'll have, whether you win or lose as long as you've been accepting outcomes and you're not expecting a lot when you gamble should be the norm. And with that norm, you learn something new that you'll apply it to yourself or in life or simply in gambling.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 07, 2024, 07:40:15 PM
Yes, that's fine. If the experience he's got was terrible then he is in all of his might to discourage people from gambling. From 10 bet to losing his life savings? Clearly, the problem is on him and he's just sharing his story to the other people that might end up being addicted as well and that's a good share that he can give to everybody. He even has got the guts to share it because not every failed gambler will tell their unique stories.
And this helps other gamblers when they're on the verge of being addicted as it will show how someone ended up if they are not going to stop. Nothing wrong with gambling as you do it with moderation. But the problem with many of us is that we forget to moderate and have some time to stop when it is necessary and even when we've been winning already, we're not stopping yet but we wait until we lose everything and that's the time we're realizing that there's a need for us to stop.

Another defeat for Spirit today in Elite League and nothing goes on their way it seems. There was also statement before 2024 started from Spirit who said that 2024 is the year when they want to win everything or it's time to take a break ....and so far it seems they need a break asap because I bet it's nothing but frustration to play Dota and see that nothing goes on your way no matter how hard you try. ( I mean Collapse had to play underlord ?? ...this is clearly a sign that things are not smooth in Team Spirit ).
I wouldn't expect from them when it's come to these tournaments that are still early for the TI. I am not trying to defend them or what, but this Elite league doesn't have points for qualifying into the bigger tournament and that's why I think that they're falling shortly. But without having any reasonings, the other teams are just better than them. It's like they are becoming on their 100% when the tournament is having a lot of prize pool and qualification for the bigger tournament. This Elite league has got a $300k prize for the champion and that's still a lot of money but knowing that these champs, they can win or just play as if there is nothing to worry about as there's no points and that prize pool has a place for everybody even at the lowest placers.

Anyway, at some news. I can't imagine Taiga was even doing his 322 when he was still at OG and that's why there's something off with OG at that time. Too much addiction really can cause you a lot of breakdowns and can make you lose your career. He's one of the best supports out there but he's gone out of the career due to addiction in gambling and no team will take him at this time. Props to his former teammates coming from Alliance, to Liquid and to OG. His teammates at Liquid are doing good but him, he's left behind.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: April 06, 2024, 09:38:14 PM
For the casino owners, what do you think of them OP? They're the owners and it's obviously the place for them to make money and the same goes for their employees and staff that are working behind the scene. Just like any other services that are being offered by companies, there's always the case that they're having this kind of time admitting of the type of service they are providing to everyone.

And that is because the losers have their money for the company and that's in exchange of the games that they've provided giving that satisfaction on their mind despite of not winning any amount.

Having all of those activities inside the premises of the casino that are been done by the gambler, it's common to see some winners and more losers. Yes, it's not a place for the gamblers to make money but there are some of those moments that they win and that's why the mindset remains with that if it's about making money.

And going back with one of the matches of BB against GG on their 2nd map, it's a crazy match and they've been just destroyed easily by GG through destroying their barracks. Heroes of GG weren't really good for late game but they're able to win and that DK of quinn was crazy and was like on a pills, BB was so close in winning the 2nd map but GG defended the tree and they just don't want to give up so they did won.
I had to check the highlights of that second map, and the high-ground defense from GG was too strong with Enigma, Rubick, and DK spamming all their spells while BB barely had anything when it was their time to defend.

Ace's Enigma was clutch in the 5v5 engagements catching 1-2 core heroes every time he uses his ultimate.
Yeah, everyone did their job and with the help of seleri's IO. That DK became the actual carry and with attack speed and desolator on that IO, well, the towers and barracks have been broken too easy. Now, I am watching the first map of Blacklist and Tundra and it seems that this is going to be an easy first game for Tundra. The heroes of Tundra are way better because they've got meepo as their carry and chen and they're going to make this match end early. While for the Blacklist, they've got lifestealer as their carry and the other heroes doesn't seem to click to what they're planning, I guess that they've been outdrafted and Tundra is doing it right and have taken their heroes as well. As of typing this, the game is on the 17 minutes mark so there's still a lot to happen but in my analysis, Tundra has got the advantage based on their draft.

PS: Map 1 is done, what a game and that analysis of mine was good during the early game and despite that Blacklist proved that despite being outdrafted, they've won. Tundra wasn't able to end it as the defense of Blacklist at the top tier 3 tower was too strong. I think the momentum was when pure's meepo has been skewered on that tier 3 top tower and it snowballed.

I just feel bad for BetBoom as they've got 2 series = 4 matches and with all of that, they won nothing so 0-4, clean.
It looks like the teams prepared for them after their successful run at DreamLeague and Team Liquid's series win was probably one of the fastest with both maps ending in less than 30 minutes.

Despite the awful start, their schedule should get easier now that they're done facing two of the potential best teams in the group.
I agree, they're now going with some recovery wins on the upcoming days and I think that they're not going to let it pass. So, this is just a best of 2 for most of the games and this only means that whoever gets the most wins will be moving to the playoffs and those that don't get a lot of it will totally get eliminated. 8 teams will be eliminated once this round robin ends and I guess that they should be focusing each to the weakness of their opponents and no more pride picks like giving the best hero of one team. A respect ban is a must for most of them.

Here is the recap of matches that we've got for this day. The scores are still irrelevant since there are still a lot of days remaining, I'll include them soon when there will be teams that are already eliminated. Some teams have already played twice and the others will be playing twice as well in the next upcoming days and this is frigging a lot of games seriously and to be honest, this is what the fans like for the tournaments like this in the tier 1 category. I just feel bad for BetBoom as they've got 2 series = 4 matches and with all of that, they won nothing so 0-4, clean.

97  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling problems on different races on: April 05, 2024, 05:19:15 PM
Gambling problem is a serious issue which has affected the millions of gamblers in the world generally. While anyone can develop a problem with gambling, i tend to understand that race has more to contribute to the problems of gambling in the society. Most historical practices and traditional system of gambling practices within the different race has an influence and if a gambler do not take these things into consideration he would face more problems as a gambler.
While there's really a significance with the race of which a person is originated as it can be part of the culture. I don't think that it should be more reliant on it. We're on our own and every decision that we do is done by ourselves and not with our ancestors or whoever influences them in the past.

Africans have little of gambling addict because they have only local gambling shops (lack of economic opportunities to improve the level of gambling). so they rarely reach full addiction. While in some other part of the world like the white, they are more likely to have co-occurring gambling disorders because of  depression or anxiety. And other races have high rate of gambling problems due to the presence of casinos on reservations, for example in Asia.
It varies with the situation per gambler. If a gambler has been into it due to the influence that he's got I think that there's a matter about where he's at. If a community doesn't gamble a lot and you're living in a rural area where there are no establishments then that's a good area where only few people to none will become addicted.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 05, 2024, 03:45:55 PM
Is this the wrong advice? A friend of mine took over his father's company because he is so old already and he told me about the money thats available doing nothing in the bank.

I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.

Or am I wrong? I need to know if this advice is a good one or a bad one, I gave him this advice because we are very close and also because I will do the same thing if I am in his shoe, this is the best thing i can think of right now.
Honestly, you're wrong. You shouldn't meddle with people and its company's fund. What if they throw back to you the question about running a company and how well versed you are financially? Do you think that you'll be able to reflect and answer them good? It's a bad advise to use a company's fund to invest and compare it with a larger company that's been investing in Bitcoin. I know that we're both bitcoin investors but we shouldn't involve ourselves when it comes to these corporate matters that we're not part of the organization. You should just wish that friend of yours to do good with his company and you'd support him whatever he does. But if it's your friend's personal money, that's fine as it is not going to affect the entire organization but only his money if ever he's not going to do good with it. Unlike with touching the company's fund that's sitting on the back, it's a big trouble. Know that there are internal auditing that happens to them that are scheduled so please refrain in suggesting on what to do with a company's fund that does nothing to you.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: April 04, 2024, 11:36:51 PM
We don't function well when we're tired. Like someone who's staying at home and doing some household chores, when they get tired they are taking a rest. So, with these mind games as we gamble, don't force yourself too much when you're tired because your money is at stake and you're betting it to grow and not just to have fun. But it is no problem when you gamble and you're doing it to have fun. Otherwise, take a rest and don't be too hyper to yourself, don't be too pushy and when you feel that your body gets tired, give a rest. Someday if you're not going to listen what your body needs when it needs to rest, you'll be charged of it when you grow older. You'll feel all of the pain that you've endured when you have to rest but then you still pushed and didn't get to take that moment for your body to heal. This is no longer about you gambling being tired but giving yourself a good bed rest so that you won't push yourself to the limits and you're giving time for your body to heal its cells and muscles. Love your body, this is actually where YOLO should be applied. We only live once so, take care of your body and don't be too ignorant about taking care of yourself.
The thing is that, first why I mentioned that I because we have to check mate alot of things and putting them I place to be able come up with our desires such that playing game just to pass time if fall to sleep from there, this time winning is not your aim and at such you play with the minimum amount or even play free mood just to have the fun and also it's a form of anti depression which ease your brains to fall asleep.
I understand if there are people that do gamble before they sleep because it's like their sleeping pills. But I don't think that a lot of people does that because I'm also doing some stuff before I get to sleep when I want to and yet I can't help myself. I know that it's a way to release those hormones or whatever you call that for you to get some sleep and make your eyes tired. In a sense that you're a real gambler and you're tired but you forced yourself in doing so, you are aware of what the outcome will be when you're tired and you can't think rightly anymore because you're all exhausted and your brain won't function well so you might just roll those dices without noticing how much multiplier you have or any other games that based on luck that can make it or break it after wards.

But if on the other hand you are gambling just for the winning and aimed at profits from the game then it advisesble not to risk it at all  just take a break and relaxed your brain and body.
They forget that they're doing it for profit and not for fun and that's why even if their eyes are tired and close to closing, they still push those bets because they think that it's gonna be still their lucky day until they see that their balances is dropping and they realize that it's passing time and not worth it to continue anymore.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos (2) on: April 04, 2024, 10:47:32 PM
I don't care much for casino games run through Telegram bots.  Sure, Telegram has some privacy features, but that can also provide cover for shady stuff. You can never fully know who you're interacting with on there.  Maybe some platforms are legit, but you risk running into rigged games or outright scams too.
It looks likes that they've got some privacy features but you don't really know how private they are. Because that privacy stuff and feature that they have seem to cover a lot of scammers hiding into their platform and that's why I don't want to get into these classes of casinos that have been operational through telegram. There are actual casinos that legitimately operating inside Telegram but some of them are just wanting to have more members on their telegram channels and then will still direct them to the actual domain of the casino.

I'd rather stick to reputable gambling sites I can trust and  more hassle perhaps, but worth it for peace of mind and confidence Im getting a fair game.
Me too, I prefer the reputable ones that have names already than to test them out and even they have no ill intention to their possible users. But it feels differently when you're going to gamble and all you have to do is to keep on clicking those texts that seems to be instructions on how you're going to play with them. If you're for the genuinely of the casinos that you want to play, it's up to you if you want to test them out with some affordable amount that you are no longer expecting to come back because if so, you'd definitely going to have problems running over them or trying to chase them with your deposit when they can easily block or delete their channel where you gamble.
