1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Gainers in The Just Concluded Ethereum Merge on: September 15, 2022, 07:20:18 PM
You are right the whales are the biggest gainers as the power to control the network have been handed over to the ethereum holder who stakes the balance of the pool to process transaction, there is one strong limitation to the proof of stake consensus which is the ability of the highest ethereum holders to control the process of transaction processing in the network. There is a fact that proof of stake will less the energy consumption by the ethereum holders and aside from this I don't see much advantage the merge has over proof of work and if we must view it closely the proof of stake favors the big bag holder who can afford to lock their funds in the staking pool for a long time and giving them the power to control the network.
Since when the whales are not in control over anything in this world?
It is a common fact, not just in crypto but in real life they are the ones who is manipulating the flow of the market, politics, etc.
PoW consumes a lot of resources, we might not see it from our perspective but it is real and unsustainable in the long run. PoS is healthier compared to PoW in this case, so we can not conclude anything yet at least for now. There is pro and con, but I believe it is an upgrade instead of a downgrade.
They won't postpone it for years if they do not have a proper reason to do it.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Solana(SOL) price could reach an average of $60 in 2023 ???? on: September 08, 2022, 09:08:34 PM

It is true that Solona facing many network down problem and also securities is not good enough but still it is available in top 10 coins which is still positive sign for Solona. If wee put glance on NFT we will realize the demand of Sol NFt over other chain. Solona team can make better theirs network in Short time and we can see big rally in this coin again. In 2023 I believe that it will rise above 50$
You have some points but do not forget we are in a bear market now. It is very unlikely for it to reach that level anytime soon, not to mention people are still in doubt due to the previous issues with its network which happened not just once but twice in a single month.
if it can survive in this market, I believe it is not a problem to reach the level where it was. but will not happen anytime soon, the winter is here and will be long.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts about Chiliz(CHZ)? on: September 04, 2022, 04:34:38 PM
No, it's not leading digital currency of anything. That's just a lie. Fan tokens serve no point what so ever and this was pointless money grab L2 project without any real use case.
Now they are keeping this pointless shell company running because otherwise they would be sued if they didn't even seem to deliver anything. Now they can literally do anything pointless until they ran out of their money.

I am betting that they have hired layers to teach how to launder this money more for their own personal use.

This is exactly what I am thinking about any fan token, I have seen a lot of them and everything worked for nothing but a money grab.
it is just funny to see people hyping over something like this, like what are your expectations?
let's see how are they going to perform in this bear market. Even an existing blockchain project/company suffered a lot due to this, I can not imagine how bad it is going to be.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Merge - Vitalik memes and lots of expectation on: September 03, 2022, 08:49:00 PM
An action cannot please every body, like the ETH merge, many are hyped about this merge while others are having a doubt.  So it is not surprising that there are people who are a bit hesitant to par take in this merge event.  And I think most of them are POW miners.
This is a conflict of interest, but in any case it will be a loud and important event for the chain and it is important that the market does not turn around and go down much.I have not yet determined the position for myself, but I have plans to buy some ETH.
Some people said there will be a chain split, if that is true we can use this opportunity to make a move. but hey, everything is possible because we are in cryptosphere now.
technology wise, this merge is what we were supposed or promised to see a few years ago but it will happen soon.
from that perspective we could tell, it took them long enough to consider the pros and cons thus I believe it will big. Either it is going to hype or die trying.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2Mint & Play2Earn Blockchain Games on: September 02, 2022, 05:58:31 PM

Undeadblock is an interesting game, but quite resource-intensive. Not every PC will be able to run it  Sad
I don't see how this game is graphically intense, it looks like something a hd4000 gpu can handle very well at a higher resolution like a 1080p display, you can't compare this game to the graphic details of illuvium, Undeadblock looks like a 2012 graphic design game.

It is indeed not that intense but at least we need an average gpu to run it, please bear it in mind the zombies are spawning from every side.
if we are using an old gpu, we will see a lot of glitch when we are playing it and at some point it will freeze.
tried it a few times, it is smooth in the beginning but when the zombies are around 30+, It is starting to glitch.

https://www.undeadblocks.com
I looked at the reviews, very little reward. I see no point in spending a lot of time to earn $20. Maybe in a bull market the situation will be more profitable for the players, but participation in the game is not a guarantee for receiving rewards.
Well, they will have a regular tournament and there will be daily earnings. From the info I gathered, you could make a few bucks or more with their NFTs. I do not think that is a bad situation for the holders though.
it is totally different if we are talking about Gala, it is indeed not worth it to buy their NFTs right now. Not only it is overly expensive, it also does not have any earning whether it is daily or monthly. Totally not worth it
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does altcoins actually have the potentials of generating benefits to investors? on: August 31, 2022, 02:26:56 PM
Yes, they do, but as a beginner, you should deal with this too much because it will exhaust you mentally.
just stick to Bitcoin at the beginning and experience the market by yourself. After finding you are ready, then you can start moving your vision to altcoin.
jumping in directly to altcoin is dangerous especially for you as a beginner, altcoin is full of wonders.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2Mint & Play2Earn Blockchain Games on: August 30, 2022, 04:23:09 PM
Well I prefer MOBA or Diablo type of games to chill out with my mates while running dungeons or slaying people do you know any attention worthy game regarding these?

Thanks for the infos I'll check them out. I have played GodsUnchained for a while but it is quite old game for me to invest in.

I would love to play a game like DotA and earn cryptos or NFTs tho.

There is a new game that will come out next month on 1st September called archeworld : archeworld.com
That really fits your description, the land sale is already done though if you want to invest in the game. But from the information I gathered so far, it has potential and probably will be the next Mir4 I guess?

Please take note, this is not financial advice. It is just a reference to the game you are looking for. Always do your own diligence.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2Mint & Play2Earn Blockchain Games on: August 29, 2022, 07:01:26 PM
There are a lot of P2E games out there, it depends on your preference.
If you are looking for FPS kind of project, Undeadblock might be suitable for you. Not only do they have a good community and development, but they are also running on a good platform IMMUTABLE X. The game is similar to left4dead, we are shooting zombies and getting their native token through it.

If you are into strategy and turn-based games, you can try Splinterlands, GodUnchained, and Skyweaver. They have been in here for years and they never stop developing their project.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best portfolio for a $30k fund? on: August 28, 2022, 05:58:30 PM
At this current time, it is not advisable to invest your money into altcoins. It is clear we are in winter which means some of them will be dead and some of them will be under the blanket(sinking). So if you have 30k$, do it wisely buy doing DCA(Dollar Cost Averaging).
Make a batch of buy at your support point and ONLY invest in Bitcoin because it is the only one that will survive and stay strong despite the winter.
But it is not going to be hurt if you want to try your luck in others, but it can not be more than 10% of your total capital.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still into high APY projects? on: August 26, 2022, 11:47:17 AM
High APY projects have high returns I think it is still liked by many people today. even some of these newly emerging projects with the latest high APY. but so far none of them can be a sustainable DeFi. how are they when they know that this is very risky but only insist on profit.
The high APY project is just a pyramid scheme, that is the fact prove me wrong if you do not think so.
Their model is to absorb as much as money they can to create hype and get their initial back + profit from running the project. I have been in many chains BSC, OKT, KCC, Dogechain, etc. And all of them were doing the exact thing, creating A project and then dump. Afterward, they create another project with a different name.
The cycle is just like that, they are exploiting peoples' greed to make money and it worked.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Chain on: August 25, 2022, 06:49:42 PM
Iwill invest ithink doge will be hype again beacuse of doge chain thats why iwill buy every dip and hold it iam still believe doge is will 0.5usd soon or new ath beacause of the comming hyoe for doge coin

Bro are you drunk?

Just today they did a terrible launch, either it was planned that way or they were a bunch of amateurs.
Long story short, you can check this thread on Twitter:
https://twitter.com/zachxbt/status/1562683131135528960?t=5pNcaOxda8Lq5QUfwvHNSA&s=19

I am its user, but I find it fishy and scummy. I thought it was going to be something fun, but it is not. Stay away if you have not touched it yet, nothing good will come out of it, not to mention the bride out takes 2x24 hours or 2 days to be processed. It is pretty messed up all over the place.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts about Seedify.fund aka SFUND? on: August 13, 2022, 06:41:52 AM
Below 1$ is a good entry if you are looking for a longer picture. I have been watching this project for months if not years and they are doing good. They like to do community events and actively communicate with their supporters. One of its utilities is the launchpad, once the market turns better. It will boost the sentiment and will push the price up. Reaching back to its peak is just a small matter, the only problem here is can you afford it for a while?

But if you are looking for a quick gain, go look for another one. It is definitely not your best option for now because the IDO trend has cooled down and the market is unpredictable. People will not participate in any new project unless it is backed by a big VC or Names.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Coin | A decentralized economy or another form of MLM scheme? on: August 11, 2022, 02:58:10 PM
After a very long term delay they decided to introduce a KYC verification system that's when I knew that this project is up to no good, there are just too many good projects in this space to care about now than this Pi Coin, total waste of your time.
Exactly, Pi is not new and has been here for like years.
What we keep hearing about them is "refer your friend to get x coin, get rich, etc". So far they do not show any actual work in their technology, it feels like MLM but without any capital damage except for some of your brain cells and time.
If I were you, I would have avoided it ages ago. Not worth your time and effort obviously.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Analytics platform on: March 19, 2022, 01:54:22 PM
Try this one: https://autofarm.network/
You can check APY/APR, TVL, and Asset-pair on it. But always double-check the data, it's can be considered as an aggregator website which means there is a chance for the wrong data to show up.
This one also shows the same data but is limited only to 3 different chains: https://analytex.app/service/farms

Again, always double-check the data given by the sites. Because it is normal for them to show a wrong number especially when the chain is congested.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play to earn game tokens on: March 16, 2022, 08:41:44 AM
An existing play-to-earn game token is no longer promising or profitable unless you are doing it as your full-time job(in order to get profit from it) and the profit you are gaining from it is not necessary enough for your necessity which is why I said it is no longer promising.
I have been playing it for a while now and the majority of people are starting to leave it for a new game(quick cash from the hype), we are at times when people are afraid of the bear and they tend to squeeze everything from the ecosystem whether it is old or new in the space.

I really miss the day when we are doing an investment based on the progress of the project not based on how big your wallet is and your act of destroying the ecosystem for a quick gain. Crypto has become a place to get rich overnight in everyone's mindset now.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is this real? on: March 15, 2022, 09:58:34 AM
It happened to me once like 4 years ago, happened due to my error in protecting my hardware(PC, or smartphone). Back then my computer was compromised completely after I did a lot of clicks on unknown links or downloaded unverified software on the internet, I noticed it after their attempt to login into my exchange account and realized the hacker got everything I have including authenticator.

That is the only plausible answer for this scenario, until now we have not heard anything about their security breach which means the issue is not from their side but from the user's side. If it is really a security breach, the victim will not be you alone but a lot of people and the media will report it as soon as they heard it.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other valid and serious forums about Altcoins? on: March 14, 2022, 02:37:24 PM
If you are a degen and looking for a new project that is about to launch or just launched without proper information and mostly it is all about promotion and hype, Reddit is the best choice for you especially its subreddit named CryptoMoonShots.
It can be the best for you to find a gem because it always gives you updated information about the sale or listing, but it also can be your worst place because it showed everything without the proper information. The majority of coins/projects you will see there is garbage or scam, so do not be surprised if you see 9 out 10 are scams.

Another place is Bitcointalk of course, it is relatively safe here because you can not post anything that is too good to be true without proper explanation about it, and sometimes some people will do deep research for you and explain everything that is dodgy or shady about the project. The cons is it is pretty much late some time compared to Reddit.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does SafeMoon have a future?? on: March 12, 2022, 07:26:11 AM
After the incident during their Livestream a few months ago showing a drunk dev incapable of mediating their community, people started to bash this project and the price took a huge hit. Their community is full of moon boys talking about how high it will go or believe the project will hit its ATH again when the market starts to recover, it is nothing but HYIP group in my opinion. When you are asking a legit question in their group and it looks bad to them, they will trash talk you.
Given those facts above, I believe it has no future. It is just another seasonal altcoin just like any others.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask "decentra-lied" to us? on: March 05, 2022, 12:17:26 PM
The response I was hoping was Metamask dropping Infura since they actually blocked some regions but NO. They are also saying they are following those sanctions imposed on some countries which I find alarming. I guess it's a call to dig deeper into these "decentralized" wallets which actually uses centralized infrastructures.
The more we dig the more shocking it becomes, at first I thought it's just a normal issue with the Infura node but after I did more research it turned out the Metamask itself participated in sanctioning and blocking a few countries to comply with the law.
I mean as one of the "decentralized" blockchain dapps, something like this should not happen. What is the difference between a normal bank account and this then?
Decentralization that uses centralized infrastructure equal to centralized, why mask it if that is the truth.
