Thanks for your reply. My issues with Segwit are actually not that technical, more practical.

I pretty much agree with your concerns, but SegWit's partial malleability fix will enable live atomic swaps. Has anyone invented another way to do this yet? I think it would be very beneficial for Myriad to be listed on the decentralised exchanges that are coming.

I think we need to change the topic to:

[ANN][XMY] Myriad | *PLEASE UPDATE* to 0.14.2.3 for SegWit activation | Multi-Algo, Fair, Secure

There are currently two bounties each worth $3900 USD for development work to replace two of our PoW's. See reddit for details.

I need qubit pool for XMY

Qubit is not supported anymore.  It was replaced with Yescrypt (CPU mining).

There's a giveaway going on at reddit.com/r/myriadcoin

They even didn't make any announcement for clients about the necessity to place orders once again. The orders just disappeared.  Decent exchanges shouldn't do such things, do you agree?

I'm sorry this happened to you, but I don't feel it's Bittrex's fault. They do state in their terms that orders are removed after 28 days, which is different from other exchanges. I know in this world nobody has time to read the fine print anymore, but it is your responsibility if you're trading to find out this info. Just take it as a lesson.

I have a fundamental problem with fine print, regardless of the entity/entities that utilizes this shameful scam. It is always the exceptionally exclusivist elitist scummy lawmakers and associated cronies that institute and organize these atrocities - the ones who sit behind the curtains and pull all the levers, the bloodsucking scumbags of society - at the detriment of society at large, of the ordinary citizen, the law-abiding do-gooders. It's exactly the same mentality as these quiet fast-talking gibberish you get at the end of some radio commercials too. In stead of providing adequate straight forward information so everyone who read the normal print, as it is supposed to be, the most important information that you need to make an informed decision is printed in fine, what an atrocious scam these bloodsucking "lawmakers" get away with, time and time again. Don't feel sorry, feel ashamed.

Wow, you know I don't work for Bittrex, right? You could argue that Bittrex didn't handle it perfectly. Fine. I'm not here to defend them. This is the Myriad page, not Bittrex. And Myriad is a community project that I joined just as anyone can. Although I had a positive experience with Bittrex's MYR to XMY switch. Let that be the end of it please. I have no reason to be ashamed so calm down.

Man, you keep repeating the "fairly launched coin" fairytale for years. You and me both know that not one of the coins created by this copy coin clown is fairly launched and only a small group of this scam group are bagholders waiting for the right moment to dump their coins. Chaincoin is an example how the scam group operates.

By the way, the coins are linked by the copy clown himself with his merge mining....not by my threads Wink

Merge mining is opportunistic, not an endorsement.

If this coin is not fairly launched, how do you explain the fact that block 0 came after Myriad was announced on this thread, huh?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMY] Myriad 0.11.3.1 | Upgrade | 1st Multi-Algo | New algo (yescrypt) on: July 22, 2017, 12:29:13 PM

And see the current drama in the chaincoin thread (another coin created by this same copy coin clown) after the bagholders are almost finished dumping.

This could be you if you invest in a pump and dump coin:

Man you've just been repeating your 8bitcoder conspiracy theory for years. Your threads just link to more threads. You have no proof. This is the Myriad inflation history chart:

It's not as smooth as it could have been maybe... But it's still better than 90% of altcoins! And you can look at the first few pages of this thread and see that this coin was fairly launched. In addition, this coin is 3 and a half years old and still alive. It's one of the original 150 pokémon. So what are you criticising exactly? It's difficult to think of more than a couple of coins that are more 'fair' than this one. Out of what, 1000 by now? Though I have only checked out a few hundred of those, so I could be way off. Plus multi-algo arguably makes it more fair too.

So what's the purpose of this coin? No information or roadmap...

So what's the purpose of a search engine?

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=myriadcoin

I'm talking about whitepapers or roadmaps where this coin actually wants to go.

So just a mining coin to pump and dump?

Myriad is not similar to other coins. It was launched by an anonymous dev over 3 years ago and since then has been maintained by many different community members at different times. There is no official 'team' to speak of, so nobody can promise you a roadmap. This is a decentralised network and nobody can predict the future of how this coin will develop unless they own the majority of hash power. Different people are working on different projects for this coin.

As for the lack of a whitepaper, I do agree, it's been an issue since Myriad was launched. Nobody has ever provided any mathematical proofs that multi-algo is more secure or even any technical arguments. Also, the way that it actually works in Myriad coin has changed over time and might change again. Myriad is just an experiment, based on a hunch that adding more algos increases decentralisation. So far it hasn't been proved wrong yet in over 3 years...

what is diff abt this coin that I can find in other foins (No pre-mine, multi algo)? Does it have a smart contract feature in wallet or anything else to seperate it from Shat coins??

— Myriad has no premine or instamine. Many other coins also say this, when in fact they are lying! You have to verify yourself using a block explorer.

— Myriad's focus is multi-algo, at least until we perfect it. Many multi-algo coins don't take the concept seriously. People here have invested in Myriad because they think multi-algo is the answer to ASIC centralisation. It's a deep subject and a lot to think about for a small market altcoin. We don't need to be adding other projects just for the sake of hyping when the underlying fundamental value is multi-algo and there's still a lot of research and development that needs to be done on that.

This is just my opinions from another community member.

Regards to news on slack and devs developments it eill be big and innovative connected with ether. Backuped with miners and asics.. buy now if you want to invest

Myr will skyrocket like XRP... when news will hit

Where can I read about these news? How did you get this info?

Where can I see devs still active on this coin?

I'm not sure what leetcoiner is talking about but if you check reddit.com/r/myriadcoin you will see the devs are often discussing with other community members.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMY] Myriad 0.11.3.1 | Upgrade | 1st Multi-Algo | New algo (yescrypt) on: May 14, 2017, 01:03:50 PM
Can anyone tell me if there are other multi-algo coins out there?

And how did this multi-algo mining worked for Myriad? What where the problems?

There are quite a few. Myriad is not actually the first - I think Huntercoin did it first with just Sha256 and Scrypt. It was the first to implement five algorithms though, and that has been copied by many coins: Digibyte, Verge, Saffroncoin (dead?), Auroracoin, Anoncoin (?), Digitalcoin, Unitus, and probably some others I'm forgetting.

The problems are not many, at least experienced so far. There have been some issues with difficulty retargeting that allow someone with a lot of hashrate on one algo to get a bunch of blocks in a row on it, but those have been fixed I think. Currently there are issues with one algo not producing as many blocks as expected, but it's not really a problem, per se.

Thanks for the info.  I remember mining Anoncoin and Digitalcoin , but I don't remember them being a multi algo..

As I recall they switched to multi-algo from mono-algo. I think there may have even been one coin that went/started multi-algo and switched back to mono-algo but the name escapes me...

Neoscoin

hmm random guy? Let's find out the name of that guy...ah found it! "Bryce Weiner" correct?
Let's see whether he is that random in the cryptocurrency world..

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=847777.0

A couple of years ago Bryce Weiner said some company hired him to do a talk about a Myriad airdrop in Brazil, which never happened. Before or since then, Bryce had nothing to do with Myriad.

Here is a good article where you can see for yourself about the fairness of altcoin mining schedules: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20170112060242/http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=a_massive_investigation_of_instamines_and_fastmines_for_the_top_alt_coins

As you can see, Myriad was fairly launched, and this is actually very rare. Less than 10% of altcoins are fairly launched. You can also confirm this yourself using a block explorer, of course.

Also note that the original dev, 8bitcoder, is still around after 3 years and posts regularly on /r/myriadcoin ...
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Myriad - Just been dumped after a huge pump! on: April 20, 2017, 01:15:34 AM
It is being delisted from Poloniex the biggest altcoin exchange in the world on the 2nd May. It might get 1 or 2 pumps on bittrex in the future but this is a massive blow to the coin. To give an example, another coin called digibyte value went up by over 100% when listed on Poloniex without any news. Digibyte was under $500k marketcap for most of the time when it wasn't on Poloniex.

I wonder what you're trying to achieve with these posts. Push the price down? Well, we all know Myriad is the original, with CPU mining, and no premine or instamine, unlike DGB. DigiByte is riding a wave on SegWit right now. We Myrians congratulate you for your progress, but Myriad continues to have its own merits, and a market cap about 1/16th the size.

Where can download full blockchain? Synchronization is very slow Sad

It's slow to start and speeds up.

MYR trades anywhere about Bittrex ?

Yes, trades on Bittrex here: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-MYR

Also trades on Poloniex and Cryptopia, and possibly Bitsquare.

They need to update coinmarketcap.com.  It says XMY but bitrex and polinex say MYR

It's Bittrex and Polo that need to update....
