Nick Szabo is real. I will not post any links, but if you dig, you will find hard evidence that he is. Is he Satshi? Very likely. Does it matter? No.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdfunding legal costs for case at the EU Court of Justice about Bitcoin/VAT on: August 22, 2014, 10:48:51 AM
I'm surprised that not more Europeans are concerned. It is an important issue and one that can be easily misinterpreted if not understood properly.
If you are a European; at least up vote the reddit post: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2e7f6k/i_need_your_help_funding_legal_costs_in_a_case_at/
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't find any information on Nick Szabo, is he is who he says he is? on: August 17, 2014, 09:00:17 AM
Some minor additional evidence if someone still is not sure about Nick/Satoshi...

- Check how he use 'btw' here on bitcointalk. Nicks usage of it: http://unenumerated.blogspot.se/2011/05/bitcoin-what-took-ye-so-long.html
- Nick uses double spaces just as Satoshi (look at the source on his blog linked above)
- He uses 'wrt' both here and on his blog. Not that common.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin trademark on: February 25, 2014, 01:26:13 PM
Sorry to bump an old post, but what will happen with the Bitcoin trademark now considering everything that is going on @ Gox now?
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: July 18, 2013, 01:26:13 PM
One of my withdrawals arrived today. This was, however, the last one I did. Two still remains (which was executed prior to the one I received).

Anyone else thinking of legal actions? MtGox has now stopped their support as well, it seems.

There was a thing like support?

And: source, please?

I do not have any source else than that they've stopped to respond on support issues. They usually responded within 24h prior to this weekend. I can only speak for my self, of course. They might still respond to others and on other issues than withdrawals.

I understand, I'll pm you zefir. Thanks.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [CLOSED] Avalon ASIC chip distribution on: June 01, 2013, 12:05:48 PM
I'll take em for 28 btc.

I guess you could sign my address 1JVfngaFgaqa3BqBeP7ftFdPwr2sD514y3 with the address you bougth the chips to prove the transfer to Zefir and then I could use my own address to claim ownership of those chips if needed.

Sure.
@Zefir
Can you confirm that this will be OK?
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [CLOSED] Avalon ASIC chip distribution on: June 01, 2013, 11:49:10 AM
I have ordered 320 chips in batch 3 which I'm willing to give up. Not sure about the policy, but I'm willing to sell the address which I bought the chips with so the buyer can sign and verify the ownership when time comes. I am selling all of them to one buyer, no split buys.

Should I post this in the marketplace instead btw?

I'm interested to see if these will pay off or not.  76 BTC seems like so much to me.  Best of luck to you investors.

i think these guys are betting on BTC in the future is worth more than BTC right now...

In which case the 75 BTC would be worth more as well...

Yes, but the value of 75BTC @ 19th April (when i exchanged cash for BTC) != value of 75BTC @ 1st September.

That logic is flawed. The value of your 75 BTC compared to the value you will get out of mining using 10GH/s (minus energy cost) is what you need to compare.

@zefir
I have done two orders which you can accumulate into one (from the same address: 1KGPWpFi4UyruQ5ZNohgsJ5oUeZxaTLFUy).
Still needs 3.3k more before ordering Batch 3, right?
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: April 20, 2013, 09:31:10 AM
I'll order assembly of 32 modules as soon as it opens!
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMINER: Erupter Blades. Review, comments, photos, and discussion! on: April 20, 2013, 09:28:32 AM
good luck making the bitcoin back! lol

Time is of the essence. Probably as much of a possibility of making his BTCs back as one who buys a 90GH/s received in august.

EDIT: For the same price I might add. Difficulty will rise quite steep so 10GH/s now >> 100GH/s within months.

I'm interested if I can find someone who can assemble the board for me. PM if you know a developer that do, preferably in EU.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: MtGox Down ? on: April 11, 2013, 09:38:32 AM
Although the complexity involved with real time order matching is higher than the that of what an average programmer has to deal with, it is a solved problem. It is hard to scale and if this volume had been hitting a completely new exchange, this would probably have been forgiven. The issue is that MtGox has been running this exchange for a while with quite the revenue and liquidity to hire programmers that has been dealing with such algorithms for decades. The volume is not high enough to sink an in-memory algorithm of order matching, far from it.

Having said that, I do feel with MtGox as I believe they are trying to solve this issue. It might just be too late.
