Oh, and they weren't universally compatible either were they?
To my knowledge they were, I did not have to mess with them in any way.

I do not get this KNC bashing thing.
Uh, that's because you scored some upgrade modules. Those of us who didn't are rightfully pissed, and inb4 you say "that's your fault". Possibly you are right, however, wasn't that just reasonable to assume that they will have less upgrade modules than ppl will want/need? The moment they have announced that they are going to offer some upgrade modules I simply camped their website waiting for the news. But that's old news. I must admit it would be nice if they said explicitly if they are going to offer more upgrades or not but what other news should we expect from them? Just curious.

is it possible they are hoping we just cancel all neptune orders so they can be done with us investdurrs??
To be honest that would fit their attitude since they got rich.... communication was awesome until the 1st Jup batch, fell away to almost zero. Time to market was the buzzword, they never shut up about it, now it's secondary even though, if anything it's more important? They had little real competition until now, maybe you're right, but maybe it doesn't matter because invesdurrs are done with them? They no longer need us either way, we paid for their start-up. Among the miner producers that I had a pleasure/displeasure to deal with (4 different companies and 1 scam) they are so far the best. And this BS about upgrade modules not being available is actually BS. If you wanted to get some you did get some. I've got 3. No news sucks, I agree, but what kind of news would you expect? Earlier delivery? Power consumption? Size of the case? Fab they are using? WTF? I do not get this KNC bashing thing.

I just received an email from "Rebecca". Below is her email and my response: ________________________________________________ Hi “Becca”, The gig is up. We found that ctsminer.com was associated with the IP of 185.8.106.66 when it was first registered. That is the SAME IP address that butterflyiab.com used to perpetrate their scam. We can only come to the conclusion that you are a part of that scam and this new scam as well. If we have made a mistake, please provide evidence. If I don’t hear back from you, then I will know or sure that you are the same scam group that fooled many before. If that is that case, you have my congratulations. You guys are evil geniuses. You played it so well and created a lot of data points that made it look legit. The phone number being only a single digit off of CMS was genius. And the british voice being so similar to their message was also amazing. I fell for it hook line and sinker. I have never been scammed before and I learned a painful but valuable lesson. Thank you, Daryl On Jan 26, 2014, at 12:28 AM, Rebecca Saunders < r.saunders@ctsminer.com> wrote: Hi Again Daryl, Yes, although not been accepted by the wider Bitcoin audience, sales are still going very well. As previously mentioned, Michael (my manager) and I have decided against any more PR on the forum until we can bring some more PR material and photographs (potentially next week) as we feel this will help. I really appreciate what you have done and of course, pass that code onto your brother! The unfortunate thing is we are in the UK and worldwide payment methods are far and few between. Our bank cannot accept wire transfers outside of the UK and PayPal seems to be our only option at the moment. Because of their rules regarding pre-orders, we are a bit stuck! David, who runs the CTS sales team, is actually meeting on Wednesday with our bank manager to see if there is a way international bank transfers can be accepted. This could help! Thanks, Becca Kind regards, Rebecca Saunders Marketing Manager I did not get the part about passing the code onto your brother?

I see, so you needed money therefore you sold 2 KnC on hand, to buy a product that will never be delivered. Nice work.
You don't know that. You assume that. Nah, I know that. 100% sure it is a scam. Ignorance is bliss. it sure is, it costs about $7,000 for each of these to be ignorant.. where is their fabrication plant you said? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_semiconductor_fabrication_plantsI not saying you are right or wrong in your conclusions. I'm just saying you are quick to jump to the conclusions.

Also, I do NOT recommend anyone to buy their products. I am still not 100% sure, just sure enough to buy myself. There is no harm in waiting till Monday, if they have any left by then. But then again, if it some crazy elaborate scam, then maybe that is why they released on a Friday, which is a terrible day release.
That's what I am trying to figure out: are they really that sophisticated to release it on Friday so nobody can actually verify anything. BTW they are pretty responsive at odd hours. I have exchanged some e-mail with them and it really doesn't seem like they would be living in UK timezone. Anyway pure speculation .

ok, people. I never said I "talked" to Rebecca. Just a few emails. My brother (phoenix1969) too.
Also, if you people read the earlier posts you can see that I DID call BOTH numbers from both company websites. Same secretaries voice on both voicemail systems. (It was the middle of the night there) I think it is legit which I why I spent some coin. Too many data points add up for it to be a scam. BUT the only way we will know for sure is when someone goes down to their offices on Monday. This will put a rest to the speculation once and for all.
In the interested of full disclosure: No, I am not a scammer employee working for them. They did however send me a discount code for my validation efforts. That was very kind of them. I am sure some of you will figure out a way to turn this around and say "See, I told you so". Well, go ahead, I have nothing to hide. My brother and I both live in Hawaii and I have never been to the UK.
Also, yes, I did sell my KNC units the day before CTS Miner announced their products. No, I do NOT know that was going to happen. Yes, I also thought it was a scam at first too. BUT, then I actually did some homework and connected enough data points for me to believe they are legit. I did this BEFORE starting to bash them publicly for being a scam. Once I thought they were legit, I purchased two of their 5TH units (so far) because the numbers are just too good to pass up. 5TH for 1100 watts is industry leading efficiency. THEN, I posted my validation findings and will continue to do so, whether it points to them being a scam or a legit company.
Some of you are so vested in this being a scam, that you refuse to change your mind no matter where the evidence leads. I also acknowledge, that now since I spent some BTC, I am now vested in this being legit as well. BUT I am still not closing by mind to either possibility. All evidence must be reviewed and analyzed.
Don't worry - common sense does not apply here. Some ppl just spend too much time in front of the computer screen and prefer to do whois query rather than to actually have some kind of interaction with the surrounding world and see or talk to the other human being. Disclaimer: I am *not saying* they are not scam.

It would be really easier to ask Rebecca some questions on this forum if some guys would not jump her like hungry dogs.
Maybe next time the horde will first ask questions first and then bite.
Always make me laugh when newbie, junior account defend scammers. Who are you to defend her? I like when new scam appear and then all hero memebers, and other with history on forum point scam and than bunch of newbie accounts, junior accounts defend scam by saying crap like above. Obvious scam is scam. Bla bla bla. I cant really see how common sense has anything to do with being junior member. I have met many senior people that are idiots. I just stated that it would be easier to ask some questions first and then draw conclusions rather than to first draw conclusions and then try to find proves to the conclusions. You could simply ask number of questions and have actually some data to perform analysis. The way things unfolded unfortunately doesn't allow me to ask questions because some senior members knew better. I am not defending anybody, I am *not saying* they are not scam. I simply do not know that and I am unable to find out by asking questions because nobody knows anything.

Can someone pls post links to threads with companies or products that turned out to be real scam? I do not mean bfl or scamfast?
|

please do.
+1 It would be great if you could do it before they sell out ;-) it seems they are selling fast... Of course this could be just incentive booster.

Jeee, why is everybody so anxious to kick woman's butt because they are frustrated with their previous orders?
Just take it with a grain of salt and give it some time. We are gonna see onsite pictures and vids soon enough.
So Becca, how about that vid of the test machine along with cgminer stats? That would sure help.

Let's give Becca a chance ;-) I gave one to BFL, KNC, HashFast and Cointerra. For me its like 50% scam and 50% legit (considering Cointerra delivers additional hashing power together with original order). It would be nice to put one more into legit basket.

Becca,
It would really help if you could show pictures of your prototype that you have just finished testing or even better a video of the miner hashing.
