401  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Polymerbit Prototype Test note - 1st ones printed in-house!!! LIMITED* on: June 26, 2017, 11:07:31 AM
Hey guys...

I'm really sorry but as it turns out, I have broken a prior binding agreement.

We have to shut down this auction.

I will post note L-P 2 for a new auction in a few days.

I am simply hosting the auction - the item is not mine Wink
You should be able to use this member as escrow if you win  Cheesy

Haha that's exactly why he is running this auction on our behalf!

Obligatory picture of the reverse needed Wink

Something important to note is that both our tamper evident sticker and signed packaging are also included!

Haha good to know!

I'll just put it this way:

We now have the equipment and ability to print Polymer notes in house!

Meaning;

1) Yes, notes can be customised!!!

2) It won't take a year to get a note out

3) So much more (you'll see)

405  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Polymerbit Test Notes on: June 20, 2017, 09:27:30 AM
Those  notes sold out within 2 weeks! I normally don't add serial numbers for test prints. In some editions they may be done, but the equipment you need to print consecutive serial numbers is difficult to acquire (and costs a fortune). All the numbered test prints were made manually, with each number being added separately on the sheets.

As you can imagine, this is a painstakingly slow process. So don't get too used to numbered notes Wink I hope that one day we can figure out a better way to do this process. It's all still very much a learning curve.

I also want to announce that we will no longer print on teslin, and are switching to polymer with a different a printing process. No more teslin notes Cheesy

But yeah...It's great to see the community appreciating my work!

I received the notes today. Very nice work, waiting to see the next 0.20 note, and hoping to see more mbtc test notes they are very beautiful too.

Thank you, maybe we have something in store for you then...

I've noticed you've been referring to BTC0.2 notes few times but image shows 20 mBtc, so BTC0.02. Are these different notes, or is it a mistake? 0.02 btc seems bit low amount for cold storage.

It would be good to put both denominations in the design, is large "20 mBtc" + small print "BTC0.02" underneath.

There are two series, the orginal one (0.2BTC) and another series we are experimenting with under the name 'polymerbit europa' (20 mbtc).

We are on track on printing the 0.2 BTC first.

Yes, i like these 20mbtc notes, i will look the web store to buy some. These will have a limited print of 99 units like the 50 mbtc note?

Yep, 99 notes. We don't want to produce too many of them if we will be making the final and polished notes later on.

Very impressive roll out. Probably a good thing you set up shop on a platform that does not accept bitcoin I would rather spend dollars than bitcoin:) Glad I snagged some 50 mBTC paper test notes before they sold out.

We have a few of them left but they are going quick. Cheesy

Thanks for your support!

Received my notes the other day, they are absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait for future versions.  Need to fire up my desktop and get these funded ASAP

The response for these have been overwhelming! Thank you for the feedback & support Cheesy

I'm working hard on getting the 0.2 BTC notes printed professionally. This is only possible because of you guys!!

The next edition will be released in 2017 or 2018?

I'm doing everything in my power to get it released by end of 2017 Smiley
417  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] "Polymerbit" polymer cold storage banknotes. PAYMENTS BEING ACCEEPTED on: February 17, 2017, 08:38:36 AM
would love to see .01 so I can gift some to people

I'll play around with the designs but I don't that would be very practical if the notes cost between 0.006 and 0.01

What do you think?

Got mine in today and like BG I was surprised at how thin they are!  Thanks again MJ + polymerbit.  Smiley

A good security measure of its own, no? Tongue

Prototypes received as well. Smiley

The material of the 0.1 btc note is similar to the new 5 note, right?

Basically, yes! It's used for the Canadian Banknotes. Only difference being the thinness.

I really like the looks of the 50 mBTC note you are selling test prints of on the website. Have you considered a numbered production run of those notes?

Good point, I might actually try to make some.

I was quite surprised how well these well selling. But I've been transparent as to the idea behind them so I'm suspecting that  people are actually helping me get this company off the ground quicker Smiley .

EDIT: I just realised you may be talking about producing them in polymer. For now I plan to stick to producing the first series from 0.1 up to 1BTC, those will be made after that Smiley
