6801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins are all down, so how do traders make their earnings? on: July 10, 2017, 10:38:36 AM
Hi still a newbie trader here. Just want to know. If All altcoins are down since last few weeks. How do traders maker their earnings during this bitcoin correction / retracement. All my polo coins are bought while Bitcoin is 2900usd in the past few months. Now I am HODLing like forever Sad All my coins are in bloody red, I have negative -20%  to -30% profit. Please suggest something.

Short thing here is that you bought on those price which are still on the hype or on their new ATH. You did enter on the wrong timing which you would eventually suffer reds on this case when prices do make corrections. You should not let yourself affected on the hype and decide to buy and buy since you see prices do rally going up. Prices changes anytime and dumps anytime which would really gives us lose and the feeling of holding forever is there and i would really like to suggest that dont ever try to sell on loses. Better to wait than to sell on lose.
6802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your maximum win streak? (Dice) on: July 09, 2017, 11:18:55 AM
I mostly avoid to play dice game due to some very bad experience in past because it's much hard for me to make control on betting amount after getting more than 10 read streaks in a row. I don't remember well what was the longest winning streak I had maybe it was 12.
Dice games could really give us nightmares specially when you have big bankroll and then you experience long losing streaks that will wipe out your balance in a matter of seconds which is really frustrating and makes you think not to play ever again on dice games but its still end up on playing again. I have win dice on 6 wins then after than a lose which i dont even reached out 10+ more on winning even on 2x multipliers.
6803  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When investment goes -100% on: July 09, 2017, 10:01:29 AM
So I'm actually facing this dilemma at the moment. I made three investments in three coins at poloniex.
Now all three of those are down more than 100% of the value that I bought them for, so I guess I got no options but to wait it out. It may take long time to get back to the value where I don't lose too much, but that is the only option I have.
Have you experienced anything similar in your tradings? How do you deal with such situations?
Sad to hear dude about your situation but theres no need to worry you are not the only who experience this thing and having losing trades is normal and on this situation better to hold of than on selling on losing state but it would really depend on our decisions because there are times that panic selling do helps us to minimize because some coins tend to dump without anymore pumping later on.
6804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: July 09, 2017, 08:18:34 AM
Well, I was taught from childhood, that the gambling game is a sin, so I believe it is a sin. But, all depends again on each other's stance, because the purpose of each person in playing gambling is different. Maybe that purpose makes gambling play not a sin.
Gambling can't be called sin. Even though gambling is kind of wrong but in general gambling doesn't do anything to others it just affects the person who is gambling and the owners who may earn or lose.

When we talk about sin, we must bring religion here. And do you think that the thing that sin is only a disservice to others? That's not true. Do not you think that things that can harm you but not harm others is not included with sin. Although gambling sometimes only makes misery to oneself, if religion establishes as a sin, it is a sin. The thing that sin is not only when we harm others.
You didn't get my point first of all why do we follow such a religion which stops us from doing what we like or doesn't allow us to live peacefully. If a person like gambling that's totally his wish. If he loses that is his fault. Even though he loses he likes gambling so religion is no one to take his happiness away from him. It will only be considered sin when it steals money from others to gamble or any other wrong way
We have different religion so we have different judgement on the topic whether gambling is a sin or not, as for me gambling is
never a sin, it's fun and although we can lose our money but the fun it brings would justify it.
It shouldn't be called a sin because of religious reasons as many religious consider gambling to be sin but thete will surely be a group of people who will still gamble even though it isn't allowed. It can be a sin for people based on their opinions and not at all gambling shouldn't be consider sin based on different religious reasons
Lets say that they are also a member of the said religion which do treat gambling as a sin but in reality some of them do make gamble which we cant really be avoided since gambling is just really a pure entertainment which we can able to stress out ourselves on playing it. Sin would only occur when you are already doing bad things because of too much addiction on it. We should not generally treat it as way other do treat it. We do have our own views when it comes to gambling and we should really respect each others views.
6805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Us dollar crashing = bitcoin will start rally to 2,700 $ + ? on: July 09, 2017, 07:09:49 AM
What do you think ? Does usd crash will impact btc price ?
Theres no relation among these two things and thinking off that bitcoin is mainly dependent on USD price and if it would crashes then bitcoin price would be still even the price or value decreases. They do have different market and we cant compare a digital asset into a strong international currency.
6806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post-ICO: what exactly happens with all those coins? on: July 08, 2017, 03:50:08 AM
Lol you're starting to understand this  Cheesy

Here's what happens.  Ethereum pumps to 25 billion.  Hundreds of new millionares.  Eth makes ICOs easy like a commodity.  Grandpa can do it.

New millionaires buy ICOs.  People buy Eth just to buy ICOs.  It's gonna be the "new frontier of investing."

Most ICOs tokens go up with caps (for a little bit) since they were raised with a cap.

ICOs cash out eth.  Eth has selling pressure from 30% miner inflation + probably another 30% ICO inflation.

Eth tumbles down the hill.  ICOs tumble down the hill.  Last one out loses the most.
Very nice explanation and this is also the thing whats on my mind too which its somehow all do have a plan just to complete the cycle all over again and i agree the one who would be the last to get out would surely lose most of its money. Its normal to think off that there would be new millionaires and there would be a new wrecked man in terms of financial.
6807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: THANK YOU FOR DUMPING YOUR LTC, PLZ KEEP GOING on: July 07, 2017, 03:58:53 PM
Litecoin is probably among the coins with the best position right now, but such threads are pointless and pathetic. OP probably bought 5 LTC at $48 and is waiting to reach the Moon ($80), when he can sell and buy.... a new backpack for his laptop.

Meh...

The only Meh thing is your face, shame on you spooking us hehehe.

I'm buying all prices you are dumping, so far I bought 200 LTC at the lowest, sold again, bought and sold, and I have dough for another 500, keep dumping.

Your moon is very low, 80 is nothing, we are talking about 120 to 200 at least.

Go wipe your mouth - there's still milk on it (oh wait... it's not milk?).
If its not milk, then what? hahaha. Anyone do really have their own moon since we can set up and amount which we consider that already high for us and profitable. LTC is good but we cant still be sure if it would continue or not and thats the risk on investing to crypto. Its not actually a dump because when i do see the price its only on small percentage drop.

No,it wont be a problem since you already send a small amount of bitcoin which wont really pass on their daily restriction and i can say that it will pass through and would be credited on your account. Just wait patiently and it will arrive on your account soon. Verified users are the only ones who do make big transactions on daily basis thats why they are required documents for KYC.
6809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Until how long will GPU mining last? on: July 07, 2017, 02:00:07 PM
GPU mining will last as long as it will be profitable. When there will be too much miners, the difficulty will drop, and more will join. At some moment there will be an equilibrium that will rise and lower.
Too much miners will not drop difficulty level but it will rise it due to nature of crypto. Same as with btc.

Nobody could answer for how long it will be profitable but best move would be to diversify your rigs - mix of radeon and nvidia because these can be profitable at different moments with different coins.

To get the point what is more profitable to mine you can temporarily use nicehash to get that info and then get back to your usual pool.
If you are really a complete newbie on mining altcoin then nicehash would be really userfirendly since its not too technical and you can easily set-it up  and talking about difficulty that its just normal to think that it would normally rise since there are already lots of miners of a particular coin and as you said we can see it also on bitcoin which means profits would really lessen up overtime but still no need to worry there are lots of coins to choose from.
6810  Economy / Marketplace / Re: how earn btc from online??? on: July 07, 2017, 01:15:31 PM
There are lots of things or ways to earn bitcoin online but as a newbie we do usually end up on faucets which im doing right now but later on while reading on this forum i do find new more ways on earning bitcoin without the need on sticking into faucets which i can say that im very thankful on this community just like investing on trading and some gambling site investments.
6811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS is an absolute SCAM! on: July 06, 2017, 04:25:43 PM
This sounds awful. ICO funds should be always be locked until the completion of the ICO.

I am also not so big on the 'decentralize everything' plan. Somethings really do well being distributed, but the majority of things require some centralization one way or another.

Even bitcoin is centralized around exchanges and markets. There are a few who dominate the volume, and they need to have oversight as we've seen with Mt. Gox.

Pretending that decentralization brings security is very dangerous in my opinion.
Centralized or decentralized security it doesnt really matter on me. Usually when i do join on ICO's i do always stick to my rules which i do only invest on where those funds would be somehow secured and cant really be stolen like on Eth-based platforms which do have smart contract which theres an assurance of security to those funds have been hold.
6812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I start mining with just one Gpu? on: July 06, 2017, 02:57:37 PM
I actually wanna fully reinvest whatever I can get my hands on.
Would buying a new one straight away be better/more efficient?
Do I need a better PSU/Cooler's?

okay you have 1 card an rx 470

what is your motherboard?
what is you cpu?
what is your ram?
what is your psu?
what does power cost you?
lastly a wired ethernet is far better the wifi so do you have an ethernet connection?

the rx 470 will make money for you

and cards are very hard to get since people are mining a lot.
He didnt mentioned about those component but we can assume that its indeed a gaming set-up since he do have rx 470 4gb VC since mining altcoin doesnt really require a powerful motherboard and doesnt need too much ram, the main concern here is the electricity cost and also the PSU. Ive seen some people using rx 470 but they do have 7 pcs which turns out to be profitable compared having on a solo miner.
6813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 06, 2017, 02:24:06 PM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.
Cryptocurrency could really potentially make you a millionaire but only on slim chances depending on where did you enter specially on potential coins in the market if you enter early then possible that it will give you some decent amounts later on and talking about entering on bitcoin its not too late on buying because we do know price do increase over time and jumping on the boat isnt too late.
6814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending bitcoin without the miner fees ! on: July 06, 2017, 08:07:32 AM
So i was thinking if i send a bitcoin transaction without the miner fee or a very low fee what will happen ? would i get the coins back eventually ? or they will just stuck there forever ! and if that happened how to do that double spend ?
First of all, I wouldn't suggest that you do that because it is a very stupid idea.

If a transaction goes unconfirmed for too long, it will eventually disappear from the network. Most clients will remove it from their pool of unconfirmed transactions at some point. And yes, the money should return to your account. When most clients have removed it, you can go ahead and send the transaction again, if you wish and I would suggest to use a higher fee. There's not a precise time when the transaction will disappear from the network, it could be days or up to a week. This is why it's always recommended to set a transaction fee.

That just out of his curiosity even myself having the same question back in the past when i dont really have idea on what would happen if you send bitcoin without tx fee or very very low fee. It wont really be broadcasted and possibility of getting stuck or wont confirm is there and also if you do make use of famous wallets you cant sent if you didnt follow their recommended fees even on the lowest one.
6815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt-coin Massacre continues on: July 05, 2017, 05:19:26 PM
Not all altcoins are on red but there are still some on green but mostly of them are on red which means they are on the down trend and its not really surprising since cryptos do behave on this way and we do know that they are all volatile depending on the news or event that do happen on the market which really affects the price movements of those coins but eventually instead of worrying its the best time to buy cheap coins.
6816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how low will ethereum go? on: July 05, 2017, 03:34:42 PM
Ethereum is seeing a downward trend for quite a few days now, hovering at 260$ right now. I suspect this will go upto about 240$ before starting an upward trend again. What do you guys think? Is this the right time to buy, hold, or sell ethereum?

Maybe wait a little longer and as you assume it would really goes lower even more on upcoming hours, days and so on. depending on the movement. Checking on technical analysis its still on downward trend and i cant see some indication on uptrend again so thats the time we bought cheaper ETH. Even on this time we can buy it since its considered as dips but remember always the risk on buying.
6817  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Why is coinbase fee much higher? on: July 04, 2017, 06:22:30 PM
I'm sending 5.417$ and paying a network fee of 2.23$.

Isn't the network fee too high?

It's been some time I haven't sent anything from coinbase but didn't think I had payed such high fees.

One of the reasons people switched from fiat processor to bitcoin was due to fees.

What could be an alternative?

I would say that it became much better now compared on the past on which the fee is exactly 0.0015 which is way too high and now it goes lower again which is good for me i guess. Ive been using coinbase since when i start on bitcoin world. There are alternative like blockchain.info since you can able to edit the fees you do like on a certain transaction which is really a good feature.
6818  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So I want to get into trading. on: July 04, 2017, 04:45:16 PM
Obviously, I need BTC to get in but it seems like everything is high right now.  Should I wait till BTC is < 2k? Or ETH < 200? I'd like to get in and start trading alt coins.  But for me to maximize my profits in USD I need to wait till BTC is at a reasonable cost.  Or do you guys see it climbing to 3k in the next couple of months?
You can trade anytime, different is the target you want to achieve. I think you should be able to take advantage of the standard but can constantly get it rather than get big profits but only once. Think that trading is a job that requires consistency so you can benefit greatly from many of the selected decisions.
I agree. Trading is so broad when it comes to the product but in the world of bitcoin becomes more challenging because it isn't an obvious way to get money. However, it may consider as untrusted to some but it's up to others opinion whether they believe the power of bitcoin's advantages in trading or not. For now focus on trading bitcoin at your own convenience.
Trading on bitcoin is really risky since we do know the price of its do change anytime and its too volatile. It can really give you out good profits but depending on how you do trade and how do skillful you are. Trading cant be learn on a short period of time and it does need lots of trials and errors for you to get the right formula. Perseverance would be mainly needed here.
6819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: South Korea to Legalize Bitcoin!!!! on: July 04, 2017, 04:20:38 PM
Lol @ all of these [BREAKING NEWS] clickbait titles recently. At least they are usually interesting.
[/quot
Even though im a newbie i do agree on what you have said ive been observing this kind of thread or topic titles are clickbait and i dont know if this is true or not.If its true then its good that gradually countries to decide to accept and legalize bitcoin which means adoption is on progress and expected for the price to go up anytime soon which is really a great news for us bitcoin holders.
6820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: July 03, 2017, 02:30:58 PM
Everyone wanted higher bitcoin price and we achieved this but another problem become transaction fees. When bitcoin's price was low, we had to pay also low fee and now when it rised, we have to pay high fee in bitcoins and plus that high fee is more higher with current price. Is this fair? The higher the price, the more money miners have with bitcoin exchange.
To my mind when price becomes high, we have to pay low fee and when it becomes low, than fee has to be high. To my mind it had to be done like this from the begining.
Yes, that is true. The bitcoin price in the market is increasing, I think accompanied by the bitcoin fee also increased. This can be called fair. You will benefit when paying large amounts of bitcoin,But when paying small amounts, the fee may be higher than the transaction value.

When we do make micro transactions then fees would really hurt a lot since we do know its high already and making small transfers wont really be worth it at all because it will be just eaten up by fees but comparing the amount fee in the past i can say that the fee as of the current lowers down again compared to 0.0015 in the past which is really insane but now its backs to 0.0004 average
