Considering the dev's silence and the relentless dumping... This coin appears to have been a scam.

We can baghold, dump for pennies, or build up the coin and community ourselves. Up to yall.

It sure looks like scam. Unless dev wants to do something with this coin, it's done. I see not a lot of dumping though. Probably most people already gave up on this one.
As to community, there is no such thing here. No community can form by itself, there has to be a leader. Certainly not around 2-post account, sorry. Dev has dumped a week ago, you might dump a week from now. People don't trust that much to anyone around here.

Dev, you need Spanish translation? I am not sure I want to do it, but just asking.

Yeah, 300 looks expansive atm, will try to mine a bit though.

Great Grin
BTCD wallet is working at last for the last 2 hours. After more than 15 hours of trying things it's quite an improvement.

Just another tiny problem: I only have "one active connection to BitcoinDark network" and the blockchain is yet to advance of one block.

Any idea what I should do?
The first time I installed it, I just left it sit there for 3 or so days. It synced in the end.

I can say i was probably the biggest staker on the network for the last 2 years potentially so it is not that. We need to find a solution that people are happy with and is fair to everyone.

What you proposed may be doable, will let James know.
Well, I have no problem with you getting biggest bonus in that case of cause. You guys need to wait for a week or two and check out all possible options then do the poll in the end. At least % bonus based on number of stakes is not that hard technically to do.

I was looking at the block explorer recently and what I see is a handful of wallets with tens of thousands of transactions. As I understand these are the wallets which were staking from 2014 when no-one was even thinking about dividends. Considering how much electricity those people burned for these years to keep the blockchain secure I would give those wallets some preferable conversation rate if I were you. That would kill couple or rabbits with one stone. I am pretty sure you have a lot of those stakers complaining now, plus that would show future investors the team is actually care about long time commitment. Which ever number of stakes you choose does not matter (for me at least, I've got only handful), just choose how many wallets you want to reward and get that stake number. In the big picture those would not matter.

Let us know what you think of that.

Looks like entire "team" is ignoring your question. I don't think they would do anything like that, in the end this would lead to much less BTC for the project I guess.

I still think on top of the holders bonus, staker's bonus would help a lot too. In the end, not holders secured BTCD's blockchain for two years. I am pretty sure exchanges and MGW addresses are well known. I am not talking about some huge number of wallets, just pick some reasonable number with highest transaction count. What, the community is against rewarding biggest stakers who secured the network for years with their own electricity?

Or maybe none of the team members staked all this time? That would explain a lot.

Besides, isn't stakers bonus is much much easier to implement based on the number of stakes? There is also no need to worry about people gaming the rule, take a snapshot before the KMD news came out, give each wallet extra 1% for 10000 transaction or so and you have very simple and efficient algorithm ready.

What's up with all these bounties lately? All I see is an announcement and then pages after pages of translation reservations. LOL

50 GHs?!  Huh
Richlist finally started syncing. I see over half of the POW is done, yet moneysupply is 5.9mil  This means by the end of the POW less then 10mil will be in circulation. Nice job dev, waiting for future plans.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: September 03, 2016, 04:33:32 PM
For those in charge of bounties for this project. Please be innovative - DON'T DO ANY BOUNTIES at all. We all know people with multiple accounts will game this however you do it. Just don't. Let everyone who wants some KMD by it.
Those who wants KMD to succeeded will retwitt for free if they are interested in this project.

There are always freebies dumps. Who needs this?

James, just do a simple poll with two options, if it's 50/50 you'll know most of the multiaccount guys would want bounties Smiley

Dont be idiot and sell at this level, price should go up a little bit the next weeks, be patient
Under 10k marketcap at the moment, thats peanuts. Wink

I'm hold and buy more in 2 weeks when the price is still cheap like this. Grin
The fact is the hashing is still at 20-30 G's. A lot of people are mining. I am staking like mad, taking 2k out of 20 mils every time. LOL to the person who sold @25.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ♬♫ Beats ♫♬ - X11 - POW - No ICO - Music on Blockchain on: September 02, 2016, 09:43:00 PM
I really think all this X11 coins are tied to the BAIKAL owners who desperately want something more then $0.6 a day from the $1000 ASIC. Just my 2c.
BTW, 100000 POW? Who's going to mine it in a week? Dev?

ShouldN't the price rise?  Huh

It's 0.0053... (plus assets?) worth, when the swap comes.

Why is price falling?
People dumping not wanting to wait for who knows how many months. If you patient enough and have some spare cash, there's a nice APR hidden in here.

If you factor in the BTC bonuses for komodo ico, then it makes sense for BTCD price to follow this pattern:

Oct. 15 -           25% bonus  = 0.003991 BTC/BTCD
Oct. 16-22 -      20% bonus  = 0.004257 BTC/BTCD
Oct. 23-29 -      15% bonus  = 0.004522 BTC/BTCD
Oct. 30-Nov 5 - 10% bonus = 0.004789 BTC/BTCD
Nov 6-12 -         5% bonus   = 0.005055 BTC/BTCD
Nov 13-20 -       0% bonus   = 0.005321 BTC/BTCD

Price could be pushed higher on the date when BTCD snapshot will be taken to decide ownership of revshare assets.  I don't know if snapshot date(s) has been announced yet.

If you see BTCD price going below these numbers at some point, the reason for difference is BTCD holders who want to sell for BTC are paying a "liquidity fee" to buyers who will arbitrage into the komodo ico
I think they said on the last day of the ICO.
Nice table BTW. We all need to save it someplace for the future references.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VOXELS (VOX) | The Official Coin of Virtual Reality and Voxelus Platform on: April 10, 2016, 02:58:38 AM
Can anyone explain to a newbie why there is 22BTC till ICO levels? Why so much dumping? They just started, real faces, real company, lots of potential. Uphold promised to hold sell price at 1/650 - so virtually (..) no inflation with exchanges around. Yet, someone is ready to loose >30% after many months of waiting. The only explanation I can come up it, is dev dumps.

1. Because MarketCap is too high, no real paying customers yet.
2. 210 million premined coins
3. They aim too high for an ICO and supply.

In short, they want to liquidate their 210 million coins first before any real market moves in.
But didn't they say Uphold is only buying those cheap coins? It should be reflected on the price somehow.

35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late to start with bitcoin? on: April 03, 2016, 10:24:21 AM
I think it's to late in a sense of huge gains, but as a technology, BTC is only in the beginning of its rout. This jinni is out of the bottle, it will be very difficult for anyone particular to shut this one down.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 uᴉoɔʇᴉq cons to watch out for... on: April 02, 2016, 04:25:43 AM
Okay, I'm not gonna lie!  I've been scammed a few times in the beginning.  My problem was that I really believed that bitcoin was this "miracle currency" where all these ideas were possible.  I wanted to believe this stuff because the technology was just so dang innovative in my mind.  It takes awhile being involved in the community to be able to recognize what is real and what is not.  It's still quite weird, in my mind, that a bunch of imaginary ones and zeros can be traded for real money!  So, these scams aren't that obvious to some until they've been scammed a few times.
Looks like I'm not the only one here with that kind of experience Sad Time heals, need to gain some experience I guess.
