2  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] Group Buy Antminer S2 $1650.- May 25th - 150/150 on: May 28, 2014, 04:53:19 AM
No tracking for me on an order of 3. No Ants. Emails bouncing from Juan's address. Only voicemail on phone.

I hope that you only decided to take a vacation, but not a great time to disappear.

Have US customers received tracking?

Still no tracking and Juan's email is returning undeliverable.
4  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Custom Built Mining Shed on: May 24, 2014, 12:51:31 PM
Nice illustration.

The problem I see is that the entry door is on the cold side. That makes it harder to insulate and cool in the summer. When it hits 100, it's going to be tough to keep it frosty in there. It would be cool if you could rotate it 90 degrees so that the hot air is blowing directly at the exit door. Make the cold side airtight with insulation so that your HVAC is pumping cold air into a sealed cooler, and the only escape for the cold air is through the Ants. No insulation on the hot side. But what do I know, I haven't even seen the thing.

5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What the fuck does Spondoolies mean? on: May 24, 2014, 10:07:21 AM
My best guess is some sort of lure for bass fishing, or perhaps a travel utensil - sort of like a spork.
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Custom Built Mining Shed on: May 24, 2014, 03:11:56 AM
Awesome project. I admire the DIY gumption of this.

From the pics, it looks like the cold side faces the shed door. Is the hot side up against the house?

12  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why aren't AMD, Intel, Nvidia, etc. interested in ASICs? on: April 14, 2014, 11:37:35 AM
First the market was too small.
Now, there is a market, but too risky. Be sure that the conversation has occurred over at AMD.
Once there is a stable market of sufficient size, you will see the entry of established operators.

13  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: IP 162.243.2.142 first came in yesterday, now has 26 blocks ?? on: April 14, 2014, 11:18:55 AM
IP 162.243.2.142 first came in yesterday, and as of now has 26 blocks ??
Every block reward goes to different address ??
A secret mining farm?

Not so secret?
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do altcoin investments drop the BTC/USD price? on: April 14, 2014, 11:04:53 AM
No. All innovation and experimentation in cryptocurrency is good for us all, and the more roads into crypto, the better for Bitcoin.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: this is why big Wallstreet money will NOT be coming in soon on: April 13, 2014, 11:20:22 PM
Legislation is easy once the political will money is there. Long term non-issue.

Sell approximately upon arriving or shortly after reaching the moon.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] What anonymous coin will succed? on: April 13, 2014, 01:03:56 PM
Name advantage goes to Darkcoin by far.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Noob looking into mining - any advice? on: April 13, 2014, 12:15:16 PM
It's a treacherous time to get involved in mining. Currently, GPUs do not make nearly enough to justify the purchase of new hardware. A ton of Scrypt ASICs will get plugged in this year, dropping the profitability per MH/s dramatically. So, either investment is very risky at this point. An altcoin/bitcoin rally will be necessary to make either one a profitable choice.
