841  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 28, 2023, 09:37:11 AM
Videos about wealth and finance are always recommended on my feed and that's the algorithm goes for these social media platforms. Honestly, most of them are just telling the same things but I like it whenever I watch almost the same content every day. It's like they're being fed to me to keep me reminded of what I must do and that I have to watch myself every time I do some unnecessary spending. That suggestion will keep us motivated when we feel demotivated or when we think that there's no way that we'll get out of the rat race.

[c.] Watch videos that can give you inspiration to become better. And mingle with people who have a positive outlook on life.

Most of the motivational content and videos about financial freedom always have the same content who's just trying to monetize their channel as well. It's actually too generic to learn something from these content creator. I think it's better to just read books about finances rather than watching those videos that the algorithm in the social media has been feeding us. Books are too specific and broad on how you improve your financial stability according to your lifestyle, income, and other stuff in line with this. Most videos in the internet always gives you suggestion to become an entrepreneur or a business man, well that's not actually a bad suggestion, but it's not for everyone actually.
Yes, they're just the same but I wouldn't look disappointed by looking and watching them again and again. They're serving me like reminders for most of the time and that's helping me to keep motivated and focused on the goals that I am setting. Well, you're right that most of what they're saying are generic and it's like all recycled ideas and tips for those that have known what they're saying. But to those that are new to the financial education, they can extract those and just keep themselves reminded that it's going to be helpful if they start thinking of how they're going to be well in finance. That's why just take those free contents, read or watch them and if there are something else which are better then it's best to take them.

843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 27, 2023, 09:32:39 PM
Just like the banks, they've got rules about accounts that are dormant. So if you're not going to use them, your funds might just be forced to get withdrawn or they'll take it. I haven't thought of this but I think somehow there are some reasonable reasons why some are doing this.
They're keeping funds and wealth through their casino accounts so that they won't be traced on how much wealth they've got, maybe some like that? But casinos are casinos and they should be used the way they are and shouldn't be a platform to keep your funds not unless they've got some good programs that makes their users keep money through them.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OnlyFans owner collects $45 million as dividends because of ETH investment on: August 27, 2023, 08:43:56 PM
I think I remember him as I say him on a TikTok video about the guy who makes content about asking people what they do for a living. I just can't remember if he has said something about crypto. But $45M is certainly a huge amount of money just for the dividends so I can't imagine how much was the capital. Usually with these CEOs/owners, they're just expanding their wealth and invests it somewhere that could generate them more money. As his platform keeps on making money and became a popular platform for the adults, he's just free to invest anywhere all of his wealth.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: India just bought 1 million barrels of oil using rupees instead of USD on: August 27, 2023, 07:56:48 PM
Thanks to BRICS, India and Saudi Arabia are members of it. OPEC limiting their daily production gives this news a sense of urgency for the USA to come up with something, I don't know what it will be but that's alarming as petro money is generating billions of revenue for them.
As for these trades, it's possible that there's a clause of these alliances that they'll allow to purchase oil with their local currencies and that will make the purchasing currency stronger as we all know that oil is like making the world go round. LOL
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 27, 2023, 07:20:32 PM
I did not know KAT was Dominican, I thought he was American, interesting, I also did not expected to see Jordan Clarkson too, turns out he was from Philippines as well, I thought he was American too, so many players I thought to be American and turns out not from there and from another nation.
IIRC, both of their mothers are natives of their respective countries.

I think it was definitely a good close game, and losses happens it is not really a big deal to lose this game and I think it should be important to realize that we are not going to get that much of a big deal out of this, World Cup should be something to care about but unfortunately USA doesn't seem to care all that much, look at their roster, they do not bring in the best players, so lets see when they will lose out, because I bet that this team can't win it all.
As for Team USA, that stack probably should be enough. Yet, they've got one of the best and championship coach which is Kerr and assistant coach, Erik Spoelstra.

With the match between Angola and the Philippines a while ago, I thought that Gilas would be able to beat Angola but Angola is the stronger team. I don't want to blame the coach despite being booed when shown on the screen in the arena. While most of our countrymen's sentiment is about the system and the coach. Anyway, full hate has always been given to Coach Chot as usual when they're beaten, can't blame the fans though.
847  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump turns himself in at Fulton County Jail on: August 27, 2023, 06:59:00 PM
That mugshot of his is classic. Based on the article, 13 felony counts were charged against him. In our country, the Philippines, this isn't something new. There have been ex-presidents that have been detained due to their past administration but yeah, this isn't about our country.
Anyway, based on what I've searched about Trump's case. A felony charge could go behind bars for a year so x13 with that, 13 years? Is that right? But with bail, anything is possible. I'm just confused a website says as per google said it's not baliable, but some says it is.
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on Cardano on: August 27, 2023, 06:34:45 PM
An online wallet app that supports crypto has given me some free credits and what I did is that I've purchased ADA. It is not that I like ADA or whatnot. But because it's cheap and hope that I can have a lucky day from it when it starts to pump. I don't know if it will but since it's just free money that's given to me which isn't a lot, this has given me interest to know some updates on it. Basically, I have no idea what this project is going to be for the next upcoming years and the portion that this have on my portfolio isn't that big.
849  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad economic situation makes bitcoins more difficult to keep. on: August 27, 2023, 06:06:49 PM
It's not about that, but it's about your endurance during these economic collapses. And the way you handle your finances and investments will surely be impacted like if you've got no other source anymore, that's the time that you have to sell it no matter how hard you wanna hold it for the long term. The more assets and investments you have is better but you just can't hold them forever especially when your finance is badly affected by this type of condition, you have to sell and that's what makes it hard to keep the btc's your are holding.

You have a point here. No matter how bad and difficult economic conditions can go if an individual can still endure not selling and depending on their other financial sources then there is no problem and the economic standing wouldn't matter much. However, if BTC is your only financial source and you badly need the money then you will have no choice but to sell it. It is that simple.
That's right if you are solely relying your asset mainly on Bitcoin and you can't withstand the economic status of your country and yourself and you have to sell then you have no choice at all. It is the reason why having as many sources of income as much as you can is the best thing that an individual has. You'll be able to hold as long as you can for your Bitcoin assets and then sustain it with the other financial instruments that you've got. For someone who's not experienced and doesn't have the means, it's hard but you need to wise up and build your foundations on it so that in the future you'll get a lot of help from those foundations for the assets that you're building.
850  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad economic situation makes bitcoins more difficult to keep. on: August 26, 2023, 10:47:43 PM
Difficult economic conditions certainly have a direct impact on investment performance including bitcoin, when economic conditions are difficult then people will choose a more profitable type of investment even with a small profit margin, government bonds and stocks are usually preferred over other types of investment and risky cryptocurrencies high is of course an alternative.
It's not about that, but it's about your endurance during these economic collapses. And the way you handle your finances and investments will surely be impacted like if you've got no other source anymore, that's the time that you have to sell it no matter how hard you wanna hold it for the long term. 851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which crypto investment have you tried out? on: August 26, 2023, 10:24:26 PM
Tell us your crypto investment let’s learn from you and tell us which platform you used. Personally have tried out flexible savings; flexible savings gives opportunity to make passive income everyday on your savings based on the percentage allocated to the savings you subscribed for.
I've also used flexible savings but it seems that it's not really that much. Plus, you don't hold the custody of your coins if it's on an exchange.
Which exchange have you tried flexible savings? Once you can get the right exchange that has a good reputation then you’re good to go,
It was on Binance, I don't think that it's worth of time and money. What's the right exchange that you're talking about that has a good reputation? Binance can be considered as that but I don't think that I'll be on it again.

especially those ones with prove of fund reserve.
This can be just words of trust. You'll not know if they're actually having the actual proof of reserve if they're able to provide it for you. And even they show you that, you can't be 100% sure that everyone's going to be filled if that has been used.
852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copytrading with Binance Leaderboard traders on: August 26, 2023, 01:52:19 PM
I agree that you can make money on copy trading, but unfortunately in this case the trader will not understand how he earns or loses money. If the exchange gives such an opportunity, then you can compete with the selected trader. My friends do this, but they don't invest more than $500. This option allows you to analyze your mistakes and correct decisions.
As long as they invest what they can afford to lose and they know what's happening with their trades, as they copy trade. There can really be money to earn there but it's not that going to be mostly common. If you don't trust your instinct and way of analyzing the market, you can copy trade but it's not going to assure you to win most of your trades.

I can't deny that copytrading can indeed help beginners to trade while learning every step that has been done by the professionals. But we also shouldn't depend too much on copytrade. If it's occasional then that is pretty good. But not too often. Because we also need to develop our own skills in trading. Try careful analysis and make good planning for trading. I'm also studying everything. Thank you for sharing. I'll keep the link you OP linked.
It can be a stepping stone but those newbies that are new to the market don't have to be hard on themselves and be dependent on it. Much better that they'll still get to trade on their own.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 26, 2023, 12:42:50 PM
In our country, they were legal like 2-3 years ago but then the government finally decided to stop and make them illegal because of the series of kidnappings due to this type of game. Despite that, there have been a lot of new websites/apps that have come out but they don't have a license to operate so that means they're illegally operating and they will be held behind bars if they get caught. That's possible that in some other countries, they could also face jail time if one has but it differs from each country. But I am just saying that maybe you should change your game if you wanna gamble.
Right mate because choosing an illegal game as a gambler limits you in several ways such as the availability of the games on multiple casinos and also how you intend to deal with the law when they come knocking,  because cockfight or any animal fight at all is mostly seen as illegal activities in most places of the world including my own country,  unless in a few limited remote areas where such practice still take place.
It happens in remote areas where laws aren't recognized although some basic laws have been appreciated. But the reality that's hard to accept is no matter what laws are there especially in countries like ours, this won't be stopped.

I remembered that number of cases of kidnapping happened and most of them are agents or connected to that cockfighting casino. I wonder what happened to those victims since there's no news about the missing persons. I believe that after that casino that is forced closed by the government, several illegal cockfighting casinos appeared but no one really shined or I guess some of them are still operating today in the underground scene since they can't promote it or make a public stunt about it.
Yes, I still remember it until now and the sad update is that there's no longer news about those kidnapped victims and cockfighters. The most recent news that I have seen is that the family is being bribed 20 million pesos for them to stop looking for their victim loved one.

Also there are APR savings on each newly listed tokens upto and more than 100% depending on how the event goes, these are opportunities you can get if you use flexible savings. Basically this feature is only available on CEX
Those are the risky ones and I'd avoid them because they're not really good tokens for you to put on that APR savings because they mostly are going to be down the soonest it adds liquidity.
Btw, this shouldn't be here but on Altcoin Discussion.

I'm cheering for the Philippines to secure a victory against Angola, although they are now heavily favored.
We have to. Everyone is cheering for them in group A. Despite that it's not really going to be an easy way, 2 more games and the next one will define if there's still a chance or none although the last match is against Italy and it's like a hands-up match for the Gilas. This isn't the Gilas that we used to know, despite of being belittled and having a little chance to get on. We've seen how the team cope up against Dominican Republic which have been thought that will stomped the team easily but no. Angola for tomorrow and then Italy on Tuesday. Many are hoping that by tomorrow, they could get a win against them but on Tuesday, it's like that the majority are no longer optimistic.

As posted above, if OP was unsuccessful in withdrawing it until the time that the co-founder was arrested. Then, his funds are gonna be stuck there and unknown when it will be resolved.

857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is exchange based tokens worth for hold? on: August 26, 2023, 08:10:45 AM
I think exchange based tokens are strong token and they also going long but its depends token activity if token is strong there concept is strong so its will be good its means exchange are help but main thing is token roadmap..
Like a few of them are good to long for long term but this is to each their own. As you're saying that token's activity is the concept that investors have to look at.
Well, it's right but aside from the actual token's movement. There's the involvement of the actual exchange if they're doing good or not. You can see that for example Binance and its BNB.
Whenever there's news about Binance having trouble with SEC, the coin of it reacts and that's why it's like playing in two books. The economy of its token/coin and the exchange itself.
858  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GILAS PILIPINAS UPDATE ON FIBA WORLD CUP! on: August 26, 2023, 04:17:25 AM

But what's going to be the effect of it? We've seen these airdrops with real money which is like the US injection and printing of money like brrrrrrrr led to inflation. This leads to $14.3B although it's a different thing from the incident that I have mentioned. There's a certain rule on how and where you can spend this airdrop if you're from there. As he's a pro crypto, there could be more to this and this is just like giving the idea to its citizens that, "hey crypto is within us soon".
