The SEC has until March 11...there will be no more
kicking the can down the road...They will either approve or reject the etf by March 11.. They will probably make a ruling on friday March 10 since March 11 is a saturday.

SEC has until Feb 24 to approve or reject Winklevoss bitcoin etf...if COIN etf is approved...price will automatically double to $2,000(SEC approval means bitcoin is a legitimate asset class)...once trading begins on bats...mutual funds and hedge funds will buy like crazy and price will hit $5k by mid year...if segwit is activated and lightning network becomes operational and more and more countries turn to bitcoin as a safe haven...we will hit $10,000 by end of year...in the end speculation is just about money flows...just my 2 cents...but I can imagine when bitcoin was $100 and people said it was going back to $5 and it went to $1163...we shall see...I own 100 btc

SEC said it would make a decision regarding winklevoss bitcoin etf by Oct 12....Solidx also has an etf in the works and it has insurance...if either of these is approved ....bitcoin price will skyrocket as new institutional money on the sidelines decides to get in on the bitcoin game.

Section 19(b)(2) of the Act [5] provides that, within 45 days of the publication of notice of the filing of a proposed rule change, or within such longer period up to 90 days as the Commission may designate if it finds such longer period to be appropriate and publishes its reasons for so finding or as to which the self-regulatory organization consents, the Commission shall either approve the proposed rule change, disapprove the proposed rule change, or institute proceedings to determine whether the proposed rule change should be disapproved. The Commission is extending this 45-day time period. The Commission finds that it is appropriate to designate a longer period within which to take action on the proposed rule change so that it has sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change.

Ive bern using coinbase since dec 2015 to purchase bitcoin and everything has gone smoothly until now.
I tried buying bitcoin over the weekend via the mobile android app and it kept giving me an error message stating "an error has occurred...if it persists please contact support@coinbade.com.So I kept trying to  make purchases from 2 different bank accounts...I kept getting the same error and no buy transactions posted to my account...I checked my wells fargo account today and Im.now -$4200  and yet there are no records of these buy transactions on my account .I sent coinbase support an e-mail 3 days ago ...no response yet...now the price of bitcoin has jumped $20 and I had Wells fargo initiate a fraud investigation...this sucks monkey balls..
I advise you to use a different exchange than coinbase...use gemini or someone else.now I have to wait 10 days for wells fargo to conclude their investigation before I get my money back.Dont USE COINBASE !!!!!!!

Time to pick up more bitcoin ?

After this bitfinex hack...I decided it was time for cold storage...I had a lot of bitcoins sitting on coinbase wallet...I set up trezor this morning and moved my bitcoin....easy to setup and use...now I can relax.I will just use coinbase to buy and sell bitcoins but not to store bitcoins.
