2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.3 (Windows/Linux) on: October 29, 2016, 05:02:07 PM
Today I tried existing miners, I don't like their stability and speed.
Ok, I will release first version of my ZCash miner very soon. AMD only.

Great! Thanks claymore. Btw can anyone give us more info about the profitability of zcash cuz the price is moving alot.

We definitely need a proper miner. I do not understand the ZCash use the new algorithm and it is very fast on CPU.

If you mod the Bios they are out of warranty. On the other hand you get 25-26 Mh at standard and 29-30 Mh at modded Bios.It is a preferance.

If you have dual bios, it is quite safe to mod the bios. If anything wrong, you can just flip the switch.

Is there a specific brand of RX 480 that is outperforming the rest? I am interested in getting a Sapphire, Gigabyte or MSI though still not sure whether to get 4GB or 8GB.
The best cards for mining are cheap reference ones. Also I like red devils 480 8gb
The reference and Red Devils are both low on stocks on Amazon. It is interesting to see the reference cards selling for $20-30 more than the ones with 3rd party cooling.

The reference cards has only 6 pin PCIE power connections. It will draw a lot from the PCIE slots, it is not safe.

Let's be honest. He's young, he might not have seen that much amount of Bitcoins in his life. Scamming the members would be an easy task, simulate a hack, and withdraw properly. You're done.

I'm not sure this happened this time (just wasn't following the full story), but something like this did happen with Mt.Gox, right? Also I heard similar stories about some darknet markets. Too bad some people still don't know that stealing is wrong.
Well, bitcoin is money, and with money, there's crime. And stealing is a crime so it's not something to be surprised of anymore. It is just feels a bit scary that this is kind of considered a fact now.
Yes I think there needs supervision to exchange site so they are not easily issued a statement that they have been hacked, which in fact we never know what really happened.

I think the exchanges should be regulated. They should be insured to do a business. It should be like Gemini.

They just converted 1.1% of their BFX back. Just wow !

How much did they pay for the converted BFX? If that is below the face value, the investors/traders still lose money.

Bitfinex did not report anything to the Hong Kong police.    They lied. There is no investigation from any authority yet.

You can call yourself the police from HK and they will confirm you that.

Well, that's no surprise. Bitfinex is interested in brushing this under the rug, not introducing more law enforcement agencies. They have said that the FBI and some European law enforcement agencies are investigating -- if you want to believe that.

I am more curious about the FBI or US Attorney's investigations into Bitfinex's actions. You can't serve US customers then flout US law. That will get your site shut down and bank accounts seized.

US Attorney's investigations will start once  few US clients will make complaints that Bitfinex has stolen 35% from their money and that Bitfinex is issuing illegal securities like those shit tokens.

I thought the Bitfinex token is just a token, it is not a security. But the US law might think the situation differently.

From their website, they claimed they have reported to the law enforcement. It is based in Hong Kong, so it should be Hong Kong police.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who will be the next victim for Vitalik to dump his Ethereum IPO scamtokens on? on: July 20, 2016, 01:20:45 PM
The Chinese got 30% of the Ethereum mining hash at the moment. Due to the cheap electricity price, it will rise again.

What are the Chinese DOING with the ETH "Fuel tokens" ?
They must me be mining them for some reason right ?
Hmm i am perplexed !
I just can't seem to get a handle on this guys.. can you help me ?
It's a mystery people.. i will figure it out one day though, i swear !

LET'S MAKE BITCOINTALK GREAT AGAIN !

Let's ban all ICO's !

..or at least move them to the scam section where they belong.
They are not a currency so why are they even posted here ?

I also was curious what that guys comment has to do with the topic..
Was he / she implying something with the China comment ?

If you do not have any interest in the altcoin, you can just post in the bitcoin section and let others lose.

The best GPU for mining Ethereum is 1070 in Linux. When the issues with AMD RX480 is resolved, it could also be good.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clear moon pattern forming on: June 22, 2016, 07:25:04 AM
Just like the good old days ha? We are going to visit the moon once again it seems. I just hope we don't return to magma after the moon visit. Jokes aside, those are exciting times. I wish i knew who is manipulating the prices this time.

The Bitcoin price just came back from the moon and landed on Earth. It will have rest again and prepare for the next travel.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who will be the next victim for Vitalik to dump his Ethereum IPO scamtokens on? on: June 09, 2016, 07:10:56 AM
The Vitalik should wait until now to dump his coins. The price is around all time high. If he waits a bit longer, he might earn more.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who will be the next victim for Vitalik to dump his Ethereum IPO scamtokens on? on: May 30, 2016, 12:29:57 PM
If Vitalik dump his remaining Ethereum, I will buy some from the dump. That is the clear of the overhang.

36,000 Etherum was dumped in the Poliniex yesterday, but the price is still over 0.031, is that a bad sign?

That means nothing. ETH pumpers are just trading between each other.

Does it mean they want to make the volume high so that people will think the trading is very active?
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clear moon pattern forming on: May 09, 2016, 08:46:17 PM
i only consider the $1000 price level to be "the moon". and i don't think we will reach that price just because of the block halving. we will need much more than the halving to come even close to that price.

$1000 is still fuck all in the great scheme of things. If that's your moon then you need to zoom out, or in, can't decide. I don't think there's any danger of $1000 this year anyway.

$1000 could be a good price target to achieve in 12 months. The mass adoption of the coin can help the price.

With Eth prices tanking buy a Nano right now to mine Eth is a very risky proposition.  Used cards only or don't mine.

I just gave an example. There are other Algo's where the Nano is even efficient.

And, yeah, Eth is dropping, but Btc is rising. So it isn't weird that Eth is dropping Smiley

Which algorithm is more efficient for the nano compared to other cards? I am interested in mining with nano.

Is there a GPU setup program that can change the R9 390 memory voltage? I mean the program such as MSI afterburner or Trixx?
